Im so happy to have Indian/Nepali food so close. This is pure comfort food. The mango lassi is my favorite. I loved the rice and entree. I got takeout but I'd love to sit and eat as well. It's a small restaurant with a good amount of seating. The service was quick and very friendly.

As always the food is delicious, although the portions can be more. We ordered garlic naan and they only gave us one slice. Plus an appetizer with only two pieces. The main dinner was a lot, but it's a bit pricey for a college town. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy and clean! I am glad there's an Indian restaurant in town.

Visited Spicy Trails with my vegetarian daughter. Spicy Trails offers plenty of vegetarian choices, and the food was fantastic perfect flavors, a quiet atmosphere, and excellent customer service. They did lose one star because the entrées arrived while we were still eating our appetizers, and our to-go order came out at the same time as the entrées. There wasn't enough space on the table, so the bag ended up on the floor. Overall, I strongly recommend the goat and the lamb both were exceptional.

This area has been in desperate need of some varied cuisine, and this place fits the bill! We got: chicken momo, lamb vindaloo, and chicken Tikka masala, with naan for a side. The chicken momo was served with a savory chutney (sesame forward flavor, it was delicious). Nothing to complain about the lamb vindaloo, but my husband and I both agreed that the Tikka masala was the highlight. Just the right balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. We also both go a mango lassi. I was expecting a bigger serving. I typically eat about half of what I'm served at a sit down restaurant and bring the rest home. There were no leftovers here- We both ate everything before we managed to grab a picture. That said, I still think the price is appropriate for what you get. 1 appetizer, 1 naan, 2 entrees, and 2 specialty drinks cost $68, which considering the fact that I spent $20 yesterday for a coffee and a sandwich at another place I frequent, I think that's not bad for a sit down dinner for two with extras. My husband said it could use more spice, but it was perfect for me, and I can tolerate some kick. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu, especially the Nepalese style dishes which I've never had before.

Listen, I'm not a great food photographer but please understand how good this all tasted.

I was in Albion for six weeks and Brockport seemed close enough for some Indian food, and I was not disappointed! This place just opened, and I wish I had been in WNY a little longer just so I could sample more of the menu. Well spiced, nicely presented, everyone who works there is wonderful. Also, Brockport is a great little town to hang out in for a few hours, make a day of it.

Cuisine…read moreis more American-Indian just like Panda Express is American Chinese, so perhaps this should be called its own sub cuisine. This review is for the buffet thus I cannot attest to the a la carte options. Pro: unlimited chai. Con: somewhat small selection of menu for which the food was not particularly memorable, mostly oily. Service was otherwise ok. for those not exposed much to Nepali/Indian food, a good option to pique your tastebuds. For those experienced with Nepali-Indian, quite watered in flavor, too and too much sugar in their savory dishes. Chai: the only good thing amongst their dishes to be honest. Would rather spend my buffet money sitting here drinking this for 2 hours reading a book and just skip the meal. The butter chicken had too much sugar. This seems to be a trend across the US in American-Indian buffets catering to the American taste buds. This was disappointing but at least the sauce was fun to dip for your naan. Chick pea dish- a curry like dish with bell pepper undertows. Fried fish dish- think a fish fry with some veggies. Definitely a heavier dish. Fried rice- an ok dish as well. Would recommend Indian buffets towards Henrietta for better culinary experience

I got the Chicken 65 and my wife got the Chicken Tikka Masala. We also got an order of the Nepalese noodles with Chicken to share and some Aloo Paratha and Garlic Naan. Everything was fantastic! The menu is a good mix of Indian, Nepalese and Chinese style dishes. The waiter asked about our spice tolerance and everything was made to order to match what we liked for heat. The atmosphere was laid back and everyone was friendly. I think one of the folks working the floor was the owner, or maybe owners daughter and she was really nice. I'm looking forward to warming up some leftovers tomorrow and we will definitely go back.

Himalayan Kitchen in Webster did a really impressive job capturing that essence! The Butter Chicken sauce was absolutely outstanding--rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. While it's made with chicken breast instead of thighs, the taste more than made up for it. I paired it with rice and garlic naan, which complemented the dish beautifully. The only thing I wished for was a side of lentils to round out the meal. My husband ordered the chicken and shrimp chow mein, and he said it was one of the best he's ever had--high praise! And the samosas? Simply AMAZING. Crispy, flavorful, and definitely a must-order. On top of the delicious food, the service was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we'll definitely be back!

Staff were super friendly and helpful as we chose some dishes to share and some as our main plates. There is also complementary milk tea in an airpot with cups on a table near the kitchen. The restaurant is bright, clean, and smells sooo delicious! Our food came out hot & fresh and we enjoyed everything. We ordered too much and portions were good sized - so we each took home some food. My main dish was the chicken tikka masala that was outstanding. If I hadn't eaten so much nan and appetizers I would have devoured it, but it was also nice to have it again for lunch the next day. I can't wait to go back!

Putting in a couple appetizers, we opted in for the kibbeh, baba ghanouj, and manakeesh (za'atar w. cheese). The kibbeh was seasoned and fried perfectly. The baba ghanouj was creamy and accompanied with a very nice and airy pita bread, and the manakeesh was wonderful. It reminded me of a sauceless cheese pizza with the middle eastern spices. For mains, we opted in for the Mashawi which included a trio of meats. Kofta, beef kabob and chicken. All three meats were nicely seasoned, but the star meat for us was the kofta. The side of hummus was nice, and the salad was nicely seasoned even before pouring the dressing over it. Also opting in for the lamb chops, I found these to be perfectly grilled and incredibly tender. These were grilled closer to a medium-well, but still remained juicy and packed full of flavor. We found our server and the kitchen employee (perhaps the owner) to be pleasant and full of hospitality. This small-from-the-outside restaurant blew us away and we enjoyed everything we had. We look forward to returning in the near future to try other items on their menu.

With Nepal being north of India…read moreand close to Mt Everest, there are similarities to Indian cuisine, with some Chinese influences. We started with their Steamed Chicken Momos. They were large, stuffed with chicken, and very delicious, especially with a spicy dipping sauce! That was soon followed by Dahi Puri, a crispy pastry shell with a savoury filling, topped with creamy yogurt. I've had similar dishes but these were the best versions ever! We also had their Chicken Choyela (served with crispy broken rice), an excellent Chicken Chow Mein, and Paratha flatbread. Additionally, we had a Mutton Thakali Set which is a combo meal with several components, all delicious. We were impressed. Every dish was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, with generous portions. I highly recommend Lumbini Hut! I'll definitely be back! The servers are wearing traditional garments and there is beautiful artwork on the walls . Friday - Sunday they even have live music. They have a large space in the restaurant for parties and events. After speaking with the owner, I found the upstairs event space can accommodate 50 patrons and the downstairs hall can host 200! Wow. Now onto the exciting part; The food. We ordered a couple different dishes and shared Dahi Puri Chicken Choyela Chicken Steam Momo's Chicken Chow Mein Thakali Set - Mutton Paratha I'm a huge Dahi Puri lover. This version blew me away... The flavor profile was perfection. ( My friend LOVED this dish as well. ) Next up were the Momo's. They're known for their Momo's. I do prefer a steamed Momo, so we went with steamed chicken. The portion size was quite large and the dipping sauce paired well; they had so much flavor. The next appetizer dish was one I have never had before; Chicken Choyela. I generally don't enjoy crunchy / textured foods but my friend quite enjoyed the puffed rice addition of this dish. The chicken had a unique flavor, unlike anything I've had before. It was solid. Their Chow Mein is another dish that they're known for. I seem to prefer noodles over rice these days. (But, I'm generally disappointed with most places noodles.) These were SUPERB! They had a smoky flavor to them and were a 10/10. I've had Thali but never a Thakali. While similar, they are different; We chose the mutton option. This dish was incredibly tender and bursting with flavors. Dish after dish impressed us. This spot hits all the right notes and is a definite must visit if you're in the area. My friend was so impressed, he's already planning his next visit!
