Walked in and was immediately greeted and told to check in which was normal. After I checked in the lady told me to sit down and wait (did not tell me how long it would me) then after waiting for 10+ minutes they moved me to a chair where I waited even longer. After one of the ladies was finished working on someone else she came over to me and moved me to a DIFFERENT chair. I had already picked out my color when i sat down the first time. Then she asked what color and I told her which one. She came back and said she didn't have that one (why provide color options that you don't even have). So I looked at the minimal color options and decided just to go with white because I didn't like any. Service was quick because I was the only one in there, but with quick service comes with poor quality. Gel was alright, but the edges were not clean and had many air bubbles. She didn't even file the edges after to make it less bumpy. The shop is also under construction it seems because it's dirty and there is stuff everywhere. All the ladies are super nice, but if you are SERIOUS about cuticle care, get Mimi!!! I had to return to the salon after getting a manicure that was more like a polish change from one of their other technicians. Also, the big push for gel polish is a serious turn off for me! For decades polish was polish and was at minimum good for 4-5 days. Now, either the polish being used is garbage or the application is operator-error. My recommendation, bring your own professional polish with base and top coat (for best results use CND STICKEY base coat, OPI nail lacquer, and Seche Vita top coat) Professional Application Expectations: After the manicure, dehydrate the nail bed by wiping each nail with a lint-free wipe saturated with acetone to remove any left over oil from lotion application. Next, use a product like bond-aid if available on each nail. Apply base coat, two coats of color, and then top coat, ask Client to fan dry for at least 10 minutes. Spray nails and hands with moisturizing nail dryer. read more

Located in a mini strip mall of sorts, with one or two other businesses, parking lot in front, they were easily able to accommodate me when I walked in. Efficient, they offered mani-pedi's at the same time, with two young women working on me and the other customer who was already there, at the same time. These stars are for Mimi. Would like to give more stars but the other nail lady named Anna didn't deliver up to the standard ( at least that's how I feel) Walk in service today. I had both gel removed from a previous mani and pedi. Mimi did my pedi and she was overall pretty good and quick to service. I guess since it's a Wed so the vibe of the whole experience was okay not too busy and rushing.. However, I do want to point out that Anna, the lady with short hair who did my mani , wasn't as detailed and patient as Mimi. She seemed to be in a rush to get my mani done so that she could go do something else. I looked closely at the nails after the gel removal and I could still see traces of nail polish that should have been removed... and she pretty much just clipped down the nail without shaping to my original nail shape.. I recently visited this salon because my friend recommended it. Wasn't a good experience. It was also my first time getting a manicure and pedicure. I expressed a condition so my feet can't be scrubbed or my skin clipped. After asking her not to several times because of my condition she did it anyway and ended looking like a fool by screaming from pain! She proceeded to talk to the other employees in their first language so I did understand. She left my toes sloppy with polish. The manicurist kept pulling on my cuticles making it very painful. I ended up asking her nicely and compassionately to stop because it hurt. She proceeded and I ended up having to pull my hand away for her to stop. Then she too started talking in her main language to the other employees. When she was done, she just got up and left. Not letting know an estimated time my nails would dry so I can leave. I ended up waiting for a full hour. I have my nails 30 min to dry then waited patiently trying to get someone's attention to help me out of the chair. Well, I ended up getting out of the chair myself but, not before I nearly fell. Then the lady who did my nails kicked my shoes to never Neverland! No one offered to help me to find my shoe after searching for 10 min. They were to busy talking to each other in their language. Plus I saw no sign or heard any sign of an autoclave. (A sterilization machine) as well as no instruments in sterilization bags in their stations. I wouldn't come here if you have special needs because they won't understand that. Ok I LOVE this place. I've now been 5 times after moving to the cypress area. Tried two other salons and they don't compare. it lives up to its name as a clean, well decorated and modern salon. They offer really unique mani pedi packages that are above average in quality and below average in price! GREAT Monday-Thursday happy hour! But most of all the staff is really friendly, not at all pushy and very attentive to what you want. The new-ish owner, Holly won't run the A.C., has majority of the lights off (including the cool flourescent lights that the previous owner had on) is curt with the girls and takes a good percentage of their tips if paid in any way other than cash. I love my manicurist, so will keep coming, but Holly, treat your girls better and get the lights and A.C. on (heck, even 76 degrees would be fine!).
