They asked me all they needed to know, gave me a fast quote and i enjoyed speaking to them. Then all they did was ask my email so they could SEND me a link to fill out full details... thank you! This is how it should be done. I will be using them to ship my car. Other places ask you all your info before even telling you cost ugg.. then they sell your info and you get blown up by text. This company is AWESOME for honest fast quotes. I was so sick of talking to other people about quotes so when I called Thrifty Auto Shipping... breath of fresh air!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY EVEN For FREE!!! If you want to lose BIG! choose Thrifty Auto…read moreShipping. Worst customer service you will ever receive. This firm is NOT trustworthy. DO NOT entrust your car for shipping anywhere with Thrifty Auto Shipping. They should be shut down for fraud and non-existing customer service. Please, please do your homework before hand. I wish I did. This "transportation company" is a BIG scam! I have now opened up Better Business Bureau complaint against this company and they will have to go Court. I will litigate against them. I had my Lexus transported from Fort Worth, Texas to Virginia and used Thrifty Auto Shipping. The transporter (driver) damaged my car causing in excess of $2500+ in property damage. First, they were supposed to deliver my car within two to three days, they delivered my car in six days with $2500 in damage. The driver wanted to deliver the car at 11pm on the second evening and I would not accept that since I could not check the car properly in the dark. He said - if you do not pick it up now - then it will be whenever I am back in the area. He was very rude and hung up the phone on me. When I asked the driver what happened to my car, he said he doesn't not speak English and I should contact the broker. Thrifty Auto Shipping refuses to assume any liability and informed me that I should contact the driver and NOD transportation to discuss the liability issue. Dwight Harrill from Thrift Auto Shipping was the point of contact that helped me, and now he is not taking any responsibility or ownership for what happened to my vehicle (Lexus 2015). When I call NOD Transportation, they ignored my calls and or hung up on me when by chance I happen to get through to them. Thrift Auto Shipping (Dwight Harrill) basically lied to me from the very beginning of this whole ordeal. They are Brokers/Agents. (They are the middle man, but very smooth sales people, that will tell you anything you want to hear to make a commission.) They don't have any company trucks. They try to get your credit card and then they throw you to an unprofessional, rude driver who claim not to speak English, or even though he does. A friend called him from a different number, and he was pretty fluent talking to her about my concerns. Basically, he was caught "in fraganti" with his statement about not being able to speak English. He lied!!! Thrifty Auto Shipping should not be in business because they lack decency, honesty, basic business sense, and the need for taking ownership for their own mistakes with some else's property. No one should EVER do business with such "entity". EVER!!!!!!!

DOUBLE BROKER ALERT…read more Rate did not match what customer actually had a contract with them. We verified directly with the customer at the pickup. The Car Carriage LLC refused to fix the issue and instead threatened us with negative if we didn't pick up the car, or pay $300 to avoid it. Unprofessional, dishonest, and a waste of time. Carriers beware--high risk of scam and double brokerage.

As prior reviews mention, the communication upfront was consistent - anytime we called, he answered or called back within 30 minutes. We were given a window, as any standard company does. On the first day of the window I waited about mid day to call and asked if there were any updates I was told "I was just looking at that... let me pull it up here... no driver has picked up yet but I do have a driver that reached out earlier that was interested in picking it up so once that is confirmed I'll call within a few hours out." The next day, on 06/05, I asked again at midday for any updates. James stated, "No updates... if you haven't heard from me, that means I don't have anything for you quite yet... You do know it's a window, right?" I responded yes, of course, that's why I'm just calling for an update, in which he states not to worry, he'll make sure that the car gets picked up by tomorrow, 06/06. I responded with no worries and clarified if he is available to call, given that it is Saturday, as I understand weekends are usually non-business hours/workdays. He responded "Oh yes, I'm available! It's only me here all day, every day, so I am available." Today, 06/06, I called midday again; no answer, so I left a voicemail to clarify whether the window is to close and, if a driver doesn't pick up, how we should proceed from here. We then used the "chat blog" option on their site, where the automated system or a third-party team said they would escalate the situation. We gave it time because we understand it's a busy season and we were still in our window however it is now 6pm in which he called us because of reviews and stated in a very agitated tone "I canceled your driver! They were an hour away (mind you, we were told that we would be notified when a driver picks up a few hours prior) you should think again before posting a negative review and wait for the window to close! I'm the only one here... sitting here on my day off... does your doctor have a day off?! Do you have a day off?! (Again, I politely asked if he is available today because I'm very aware that Saturdays are usually non-business days. Overall, everything was fine until it wasn't. We were patient, consistent in our communication, and understanding, and received no further communication until reviews were posted, at which point we received an immediate phone call.

It's bad enough that they give you a 5 day window to pick your vehicle up because who doesn't love having their schedule in limbo for 5 days, but why bother giving you the driver information when the drivers don't even respond to your inquiries. They need to improve this process. I have used them twice now on long-haul jobs. This will definitely be my last time using them. I would not recommend this business.

Title: Do NOT use them if you care about your vehicle…read more I rarely write reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. Montway had my car for over 15 days with almost no communication. I was never given driver contact information, had no idea where my car was, and every time I called, I was met with rude and dismissive customer service. I requested management multiple times and either didn't get a response or was promised follow-up that never happened. When it was finally time for delivery, I was told last-minute to meet the driver at an elementary school and to "hurry up" because they couldn't wait. As an amputee, that was not only inconvenient--it was completely inconsiderate. The worst part? My car arrived damaged. My rear passenger-side headlight is broken, and no one can explain how it happened. This company expects customers to follow contracts while they fail to meet even basic standards of communication and care. If you value your vehicle and your peace of mind, I strongly recommend going with another company.

They had advanced tools and dollies that were able to help on a number of situations throughout the house. The dollies enabled them to move heavy objects in and out by themselves, not requiring help from the other movers while they were busy. Other tools they had which very notable were these pads that they laid against fragile objects when moving them through tight doorways in order to prevent damage. They were so careful with our things that we did not mind paying a little bit extra for extra cautiousness, after all you move once in a while and want it to be done right. This was definitely one of the aspects that caused me to leave the rating I did. Another thing that I really loved about these guys was that they did not allow me or anyone in my family to partake in carrying objects. They made sure that my parents relaxed and watched, and supervised the movers as they did their job. The manager said that it was their job and that was the reason they were there and being paid. We really appreciate all of the hard work and effort these guys put into our move. Even the truck drivers were inside helping as much as they could until the trucks were full and they had to hit the road. The entire move was scheduled to take two weeks but we managed to narrow that down to about eight business days. I could not be happier with the results. Thank you to the entire moving crew for all they did for my family.

I got assigned a coordinator to give me a quote from their home base in California. After I paid, I arranged a time frame for my household goods. The dispatcher was good at letting me know the time frame. They also got my car shipped and all that. One gripe, if that, is that they don't move your stuff themselves. They contract local companies to do the move for you. In other words, they are what you call a broker. I know this because I asked the movers themselves if they're with Trico and he said, "No, we are a sister company. They contact us and we do the rest." Another gripe is that they charged me a "long haul fee". I had a top floor, corner unit at my apartment complex. They charged me an extra $300 for extra footage for the move. So be wary of that part if you're an apartment dweller. My stuff got to California safely and everything was accounted for. As for my car, again, they contract other auto shippers. My car came back in one piece. I'd recommend Trico. Some may be hesitant if they're essentially a "middle man" of sorts. They were professional with the whole process.

I felt much more confident working with Bold Auto Transport than another company, which had not been providing me any updates regarding my transport. Delivery was a day later than the stated date, but I think this has more to do with the carrier rather than the broker (Bold Auto Transport). My car arrived without any obvious damages or tampering.

This info came from their insurance company that handles their claims. If my car would have been totaled, I personally would have had to file a claim with my own insurance company. Do not trust this company at all! One of the employees ( not sure if he was a mgr?) named John, constantly gave me the run around, promising he would rectify this ordeal and never did. Every single time I called they wouldn't pick up, but a text msg would arrive stating someone would call me back. Another lie! No one cared enough to help me. Plz don't use this company as I fear you too, will be screwed over like I was. I wouldn't even rate this company or "John" for that matter with one star, but it doesn't give me that option!
