I just had the best experience today! Found this place on Yelp and requested a quote. Their response was super fast. They said to bring it in so they could take a look. I live nearby so I brought it in and they immediately took a look and gave me several, options and price points. It was a small dent that took them a few hours to fix. In and out. I'd gotten quotes up to $1500 with no options for lesser repair fixes. Even a comparable quote for the exact work that other places gave was more reasonable. This place does top drawer work for reasonable rates. I'm coming back for sure and going to recommend them to all my friends. read more

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Went to Pristine for a routine oil change, and they were extremely nice and helpful. They gave me water, offered me coffee, and let me watch TV while I waited (in a very clean waiting room). They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Best experience I've had at an auto shop!!! As others said, no bullshit. They didn't try to sell me services I didn't need or want. They also cleaned the white paint smudge off of my car that I've been too lazy to do myself. The oil change only cost $19.99, which is the same as Pep Boys, but Pristine has much better customer service. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place! read more

I got in a wreck that destroyed my bumper and Ed immediately stopped everything he was doing to give me a quote estimate and repair. Before doing anything he asked me if I was okay, got me a bottle of water and lent me his personal phone charger to charge my phone. He explained everything thoroughly to me and priced everything fairly. On top of all of that, he arranged for a rental car that came within 5 minutes. I've never had such a reassuring experience after such a stressful accident. I cannot recommend this place enough. I don't usually write bad reviews, but I was kind of taken aback by this experience. My car was leaking coolant, and I knew it was from the water pump. It was to the point that I had to refill it with coolant before every drive. When I took it to the shop, the first thing the guy did was PULLED THE HOSE OFF. Whether this was intentional or not, it made sure I couldn't drive more than a few blocks without the car overheating. He said the part wouldn't be in until the next day, and asked if I wanted to leave the car or take it with me. It seemed like this was intentional to make sure I would only get service from them. I took the car with me because I had to go back to work. And like I guessed, the hose no longer stayed on more than a few blocks. I had to leave my car at work, and uber home. The next day, I took it back to them since they had the part. The quote was $175 (higher than average). I brought up the coupon on this Yelp page, but he said that doesn't apply since the service was only $60. No where in the coupon does it specify that. I have another car than needs service, but I definitely won't bring it here. read more

When somebody smashed into my car, I wasn't sure where to go. It so happened that Hyperion Collision Center was nearby so I went there for convenience. Boy did I ever pick the right place! Ed was so professional and helpful. He kept me informed throughout the process of insurance procedures and repairs, and even detailed my car before returning it to me! But my requirements were simple: clean location, walkable from home, fair rates and the auto techs must have cheery dispositions. After scoping out the car repair scene on Hyperion for weeks, I popped into Pristine, met Patrick, handed him my car keys for an oil change, drank his gift of chilled bottled water and hung out in their lovely waiting room for what felt like seconds. Today in the morning I noticed that I was due for a oil change. Being from hollywood there are a lot of shops all over the place, but I decided to check out this new shop close by my house. A very nice guy named Patrick greeted me once I pulled in. Told me it was going to cost $19.99+tax for a oil change (awesome price) He then offered me some water and asked me to have a seat in there waiting room, a really nice and clean waiting room. You don't usually see that in auto shops. I had a few questions about my brakes and he went out of his way to sit next to me and explain what needed to be done. Long story short, these guys are very friendly and they have great service. They know what they are doing and they take the time to go over all the work that needs to be done with you. I just had a great experience with them. The window on my 17 year old Caddy became stuck in the open position due to a snapped cable as it turned out. But I couldn't very well leave my car anywhere in LA with a perpetually open window. All I needed was to have the window secured in the closed position. I've done it years ago myself when cars were simpler. It turned out to be a pretty complicated procedure. But they gave me immediate attention and did what I said I needed them to do. My car is now secure enough to leave on the street again, and they only charged $25. It really was timely and friendly professional help when I couldn't wait days or longer to fix the situation. read more

I first found out of Pristine Auto since I work across the street from the one on Fairfax and they've always been great to me. Then conveniently I found out there is one down the street from my house. I had gotten hit pretty bad and my trunk was shoved in (I own a Scion XB) , side panel dented, and my frame got bent. I thought there was no hope but Ed said that he can fix it no problem. He was super helpful and he explained everything to me throughly how they were going to fix it and kept me posted every time he spoke with the responsible party's insurance . He was very patient since their insurance took forever to do anything and they've had my car there for two weeks! Ed even called the rental car place to make sure they had a car reserved for me! I got my car back and they made it like it was brand new! They even detailed my car for me and I couldn't believe it was like the day I got it! This was the single best experience I've had with repairing a car. They have thoroughly earned a grateful and loyal customer. Dropped off for extensive hail damage. The job was done to perfection and the communication was fantastic. As promised, they waived my deductible but they also helped me out in several other ways free of charge - including touching up several scratches, doing windshield work on my vehicle, and hooking me up with a few other mechanical and inspection services and never once did they ask to be compensated for the additional work. They answered the phone immediately whenever I called (even when the business wasn't open). Furthermore, my insurance was a pain in the ass to deal with and dropped the ball a few times, but these guys picked up the slack and got on them without me having to do a thing. This place absolutely deserves the perfect 5 star review they have on here and I will not take my vehicles anywhere else from here on out. If anyone else leaves anything less than 5 stars, that person is an idiot. read more

i came here because my car got hit from the back and it destroyed my whole back bumper. i own a white car and the car that hit me was black so you can imagine how bad it looked. i wasn't to sure how the outcome was going to be because they said that my whole bumper was going to be removed and painted and plus there was a small dent that needed to be fixed. The day i came to drop of my car the staff was super helpful and very nice made it easy and assuring that i had made a good choice choosing this place. And let me say they didn't disappoint when i came back to pick it up they had done a wonderful job ! i couldn't believe how good it came out it was as if nothing had ever happened to my car, looked completely brand new as if i had just gotten out of the lot. This may be the most honest mechanic in Los Angeles, and their work is perfection. When the original quote was hiked a couple of times, due to more damage discovered while performing the quoted work, I became suspicious and angrily demanded my car. I was wrong to do so. When I arrived, he showed me the new parts on my car, and the old ones, and he took me through every additional procedure that he had done. He had receipts for everything. HE DID NOT CHARGE ME ANY LABOR FOR THIS ADDITIONAL WORK. I SHOULD HAVE PAID SEVERAL HUNDRED more in labor cost. I apologized to him for misjudging the situation, and I asked him to charge me the full amount, including the additional labor. He refused. HE WOULD NOT TAKE MY MONEY. I cannot make up for how I offended this man's sense of integrity, but I can suggest to future clients, this is one mechanic in Los Angeles you can actually trust. They live up to the great reviews. How can this man be anything but honest, when he turned down 500 dollars in labor costs? read more
