The studio is outfitted with advanced FAR infrared technology, built from untreated cedar, illuminated with chakra lights that fill the room with healing color, and finished with a pink Himalayan salt wall that elevates the entire experience. The instructors are wonderful across the board, and many remember your name even after just a few visits. Christian's classes in particular feel like a lovely, hypnotic yoga trance. They also offer hot mat Pilates, which is a great option when you want a break from yoga, and their Sweat + Sculpt classes are a real workout -- I don't even need to go to a regular gym on those days. I walk out looking like I showered in my yoga clothes, which is exactly what I'm going for. At the end of class, instructors bring around a cold washcloth scented with lavender or other essential oils -- it feels like heaven. If you're serious about hot yoga and want a real workout, this is the only place to go in Kansas City.

The front desk is always staffed and give a warm welcome, props are available, and the instructors pay attention to the heat in the room. I especially appreciated the cues and guidance given for newer people, and I will keep coming back!

The thermal baths were incredible, along with the sauna and steam room. The entire space felt peaceful and refreshing, with thoughtful touches like warm tea, water, clean locker rooms, showers, and places to freshen up afterward. They also offer solo and couples massages if you want to make more of a day out of it. Such a great experience whether you're visiting Kansas City or just need a few hours to slow down! Phones are NOT allowed - I worked with KLA to help promote the business/marketing plan.

However I noticed that despite their ADA compliance, it's still a little tricky for people who might have mobility issues to navigate. It gets slippery esp with all the water dripping from people as they transition spaces. Overall I did enjoy my time and found 90 mins was the perfect amount of time. Long enough to feel luxurious but short enough my fingers didn't get pruney. The staff is really super helpful and thoughtful. I appreciate the auto 20% tip as it makes things more straightforward. Even when there was a lot of people in the small sanctuary spaces (10-20 clients), it still felt super peaceful bc everyone is respectful and quiet. People also come in waves, so at times it felt very full and at other times I had a pool all to myself. The price point makes complete sense given all they offer, but I'm a little too constrained financially to do this more than just a few times in my life.

The pool area was amazing, easily the highlight. Food was fine but pretty medium/mediocre -- didn't take away from the overall experience though. Parking was a bit of a challenge, so plan for that. Never been before this event, and I'd definitely go back. If you get the chance to check this place out, take it.

    1. They charge you $10 per class if you don't verbally and manually checkin with the instructor…read more I've been charged $10 for classes that I even attended and was a few minutes late to. You're better off not signing up and just walking in. 2. Brining guests is a complete hassle and you're charged a non refundable fee of $25 if life changes happen and you don't come with a guest that day. On several occasions I was denied guests even tho it was well before the required 24hour application to request them. On multiple occasions my requests were completely ignored and went unreported to even if they were placed 72hours in advance. I was frequently traveling to KC for work and sports only to be hassled when my wife visited from LA stating that I reached my cap for local guest passes (mind you, she lives in California full time and would visit me about once or twice a month for a weekend) 3. Steam room in women's bathroom is utterly disgusting and wasn't cleaned since I was there over a several month period, how'd I know? The dirt streaks and giant clump of hair that just remained of the floor for over 6months 4. Coming from Los Angeles and the Heimat gym where I pay $350/month, I was excited to try this gym... but this gym is clearly nothing but a wanna-be elite gym. The best part of this place is the flavored water in the women's locker room- And maybe the pools in the summer but good luck finding parking 5. Looking to bring up an issue with the staff and escalate it? Don't worry, they're happy to ignore you. Trust me, you're not gonna miss this place. Only thing it's memorable for is being complicated while trying to use its perks and over complicated. The 2 stars are for the water and the equipment. The cleaning staff is super nice tho!
