I ordered pad see ew with beef. There was no flavor plus the beef was very chewy. I always get pad see ew when going to Thai restaurants and this was the worst. I'm hoping they just screwed up on this one but we won't be back unfortunately. Staff was friendly and food was quick. read more

They overcook the meat to the point it's inedible; no flavor either, no spice. Vert bland, tough meat that we threw away. Pass.

Curry favor with a little curry flavor. My wife loves getting 2-3 of their Thai dishes to go from this Salmon Creek restaurant appropriately introducing itself as I am Thai Eatery. Anytime it's my turn to bring dinner home, becoming an "I am Thai" guy always curries me favor with her more than the normal burger, pizza, sandwich, or panda options. For me, dining-in is the better choice cause service is friendly and the clean simple atmosphere is relaxing ... plus the food is just fresher. We were excited to see a Thai restaurant open just up the road on exciting NE 20th. We are a bit spoiled from having traveled to Thailand numerous times and we even spent a day in a thai cooking school which was unforgettable. They have only been open one week so they deserve some time before being too critical; however, they also own Thai Terrace on Chkalov, so they should know the tricks of the trade. They clearly invested a lot into a nice kitchen and good size friendly staff. We had the Summer Rolls with Tofu, known elsewhere as Salad Rolls. They were $5.00 for two small rolls with very little ingredients. My advice: make them bigger and with more to enjoy than icelberg lettuce. We would pay more if they were better, but not order them again this way. Next we had the traditional Tom Yum soup with Shrimp for $13, it's $10 with Chicken or tofu. It comes in a non- traditional standard bowl which is OK, but the flame is part of the Tom Yum experience. The soup had six large shrimp which was a great and the shallots, mushrooms, onions were not over cooked. Thebroth was tasty but it all got lost in an over abundance of salt. We asked for "hot" not extra hot or medium and it was perfect for us. So, our advise is to reduce the salt and let the nice broth do its job. We shared one dish they call Prik King which is a stir fry with string beans and a brown garlic flavored sauce. The string beans were not over cooked like the soggy chinese food we get around here. We had it with brown rice. It was strange because it was served over the rice versus on the side which is traditional and more fun to add as you go. Sadly, this dish failed. It was extremely salty, in-fact that was all we tasted and it was far too oily. What I think is happening is they are trained to serve the Mill Plain community where exotic foods are limited to lousy Chinese buffet food. People are accustomed to everything floating in oil and overloaded with salt and MSG. I hope they move more in the direction of healthy Thai food and not in the direction of horible lowest common denominaotor mall food like Happy Panda. I do think the Mt. Vista, Salmon Creek, and Felida communities along with Legacy hospital up the street could support an authentic Thai restaurant. I did tell the waitress and manager our observations as we want them to succeed here. Two stars because they are a new business so its up or down from here. read more

Second day in a row I have had lunch here. YuMx2. Yesterday was the first time trying it out - ordered the Papaya salad and it did not disappoint. It was scrumptious! Day two today I called in my "eat in order of Pad See Ew" walked in the door ten minutes later and not only was my food ready but they had a table for one set up for me!! Have ordered the summer rolls many times. They usually substitute chicken for the shrimp or tofu at no extra cost. I ordered 2 orders. Each order was $8.50, making my total $17 plus tax. I orders over the phone and my bill was over $24.00. My adult son picked up the order and neither of us realized that we were overcharged. They also kept asking for a tip. We don't tip pick up orders from McDonald's or any other restaurant where u pick up. Why would I tip for a pick up order? Check your bill before u pay!! I was totally overcharged! read more

I can't believe that there's now actually more than one Thai restaurant in the Salmon Creek area! I LOVE Thai food and I am Thai Eatery, for the most part, satisfies all of my Thai food needs. The food is just your typical Americanized Thai food. I am Thai isn't bad, in fact, you'll probably never have a terrible meal here -- but it's not the best Thai around. Prices are a bit steep (~$10/plate) for pretty small portions. But hey, that's the price you pay to be able to eat out of cute little metal bento boxes and tiny bamboo steamers. I would suggest going for lunch, as the prices are slightly cheaper. I really enjoyed the menu due to the fact that it wasn't completely overwhelming. They offer the basic Thai dishes like noodles, curries, and stir fry, but also a few unique added bonuses like steamed Taiwanese style buns with chicken (Bao Bao), thick sliced toasted bread coated in melted butter and sugar, and drenched with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream (Honey Toast), and fresh lime soda. Definitely order down when they ask you "how spicy?" All three times I've eaten here, the spiciness level was at least a full star hotter than normal. You can always ask for some extra chili sauce on the side, if needed. They didn't skimp in the decor and service departments. You can tell that the owners really tried hard to make the place modern, clean, and casual, using wood plank tables/benches, and decorating with what I assume is artwork of Thailand. I wouldn't want someone to take me on a romantic date here though, cause it's not really that private or romantic (I have high standards). Although, the wait staff seemed to be very attentive and friendly, even during the busy lunch hour. I'm pretty sure I'll be back again and again. I'm so happy to have more Thai options in Salmon Creek! I've eaten here twice since they opened a couple of weeks ago, and both times the food has been fantastic. I'm kind of boring when it comes to Thai Food - Pad Thai is my mainstay. But I'm pretty picky about my pad thai and I am Thai delivers with delicious, large portions. It's not overly sweet, and you can adjust the level of spiciness to your preference. My husband has had their Pad See Ew, and his meal was also very good - the sauce tasted fresh, not processed. On our first visit we also shared a crispy spring roll appetizer, and the rolls were actually crispy (not soggy), with just the right amount of filling. The service was also very friendly, and the restaurant itself is clean, simple and modern looking. Prices are also very reasonable - lunch portions are $8, and I feel that you get your money's worth. I really hope that this new restaurant does well - I for sure have a new favorite place in Salmon Creek. read more

Great food. They are serving take outs only during the pandemic. Their portions are generous and could easily serve 2 people, but don't. They are a small business where the owners are also working in the kitchen. Order a portion each but expect left overs. My only complaint - If you like spicy meals, be sure to tell them. I find their "hot" to be more like somewhere between mild and medium. Let them know if you like to breathe fire and order it that way. read more

I really do like this Thai place! It is small inside but no worries as since Covid I prefer to-go anyway. They have the tables all pushed to the side and everyone is all masked up and safe when you go pick up your orders. The veggie yellow curry with extra potato and crab puffs are my two go to's but they've always got fun specials too. The food has great flavor and their spice levels ate great. Also the mango rice..... it's AMAZING. Everyone I've interacted with is super friendly and kind. The speed of their to go is unmatched. Comparatively they don't have the lowest prices but still within reason for sure. The lunch specials (i dont know if they offer them to go) are only $10 which is wonderful if you ask me. I'd rather be punched in the face than have the displeasure of stopping at this restaurant again. Stopping here after a long trip in the car I had to use their restroom, after being refused because I was waiting for the rest of my party to arrive before I ordered I had to go to the Starbucks next door. After everyone finally arrived, we weren't offered a table, or water, and had to seat ourselves despite others being seated around us. When we stepped out of the restaurant for a phone call we had been waiting to make our table was immediately offered to someone else. When we ordered they leaned around their plexiglass divider in order to take our order, begging the question why they even have the plexiglass decider in the first place. We love this place! Best Thai place in N Clark County. Pad Thai always a favorite - most of the fam likes the chicken but I go for the pork. The summer rolls/salad rolls are fantastic with gray peanut sauce. Add shrimp as the protein and you get a fairly large (16/20 ct) shrimp tucked into the end. We also like the crispy rolls and my daughter is a big fan of Crying tiger- a steak dish with sticky rice and vegetables. Overall our favorite Thai in the N side of the Couve. We miss eating in!! The takeout is great but it is so much better when you eat it fresh into the plate!! read more

My husband and I have been enjoying this restaurant weekly for nearly a year now. Their sriracha chicken wings are the bomb, seriously amazing. I was also pretty stoked to find a nice spicy basil chicken dish. All was great...until... A couple of weeks ago we ordered a dish to share, as between the sriracha chicken and main dishes, it's always too much food. Our order wasn't accurate, and when I asked about it, the female owner snatched my dish away from me, never to return with my food. I felt like she was saying, "no more Thai for you", but I chalked it up to a language barrier. Then tonight we went in with a friend. My husband ordered the Pad Thai. It was NOT good, not even kind of good. The waiter asked if there was something wrong with it, and my husband said he didn't like it. A few minutes later the male owner comes out and basically interrogated my husband about the dish. He continued to tell us that it's been their recipe for over 20 years and all the "other" customers love the dish, and it's very popular. He then proceeds to tell us to try his other restaurant as we may like the pad Thai there. It was the most ridiculous thing to witness. Unfortunately, we won't be going back. read more

The food is amazing, the best part was the salad rolls and honey toast ice cream. I'm Very picky with my salad rolls, I don't like hard chewy wrappers, but their salad rolls are by far the best I've tasted in Vancouver. The wrapper melted in my mouth and that is what I look for. I'm not some kind of food connoisseur but really it was so fresh and the wrapper was melt in your mouth crazy. Not chewy or hard at all! Just perfect, trust me once you've had salad rolls like this it's hard to eat others. The one thing I didn't like was my food took 45 minutes to get to me, my drink took 30 minutes and my salad rolls didn't come until 45 mins from order. I'm used to going to Thai places and in 10 minutes you have your drink and appetizer. I honestly almost gave up and would've walked out. came here on a Sunday night and got there at 5:50, ordered at 6:00 and my salad rolls came at 6:46. My dinner came 15 minutes later. Only reason I took a star away. But the staff were supper friendly and attentive once I had my food on my table. Who knows maybe they were busy and backed up. Not a big restaurant, but some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten... and you can get brown rice!

This restaurant is absolutely consistent. You know how you go up a place and fall in love with a dish, only to go back at a later date and find that it is entirely a new creation? Don't expect that here! If you like something, you will be sure to get the same flavors, textures and heat levels on your next visit. I really appreciate that every dish is freshly prepared, and the vegetables are perfectly cooked, retaining that little bit of crunch. The Sriracha chicken wings, shrimp Tom Yum fried rice and garlic pepper chicken with broccoli are a few of my favorite dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive...nothing overbearing in their service. When you're seated, you immediately receive a menu. As soon as you put it down, you're order is taken with a smile.
