Came here for a friend's bday. Service was great, though because of the size of our party (6) and what we ordered, the food came to our table a little later than usual. This is my second visit. I ordered the pad eggplant with beef, which was really salty. Good portions of beef and eggplant. Chicken pad Thai is above par delicious. I would've liked more meat for the steep 13.50 price tag, but there was plenty of noodles and the taste makes up for it! Make sure you specify if you'd like to have your food to go or in house. I wanted to eat here and got it in a to go box :/ definitely dampens the experience but i easily could've asked for a dish. Not really worth the effort. I guess the rushed attitude of the cashier made it seem less appealing to ask for more service. The top 20 pop music playing pretty loud was rough too. The only thing we don't like is the seating. It would be nice if they had booths. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but they make great Thai food. Very clean restaurant, fast and friendly service, amazing crispy rolls, and I love the Panang curry. My husband's favorites are the drunken noodles (Pad Kee Mao) and the Crying Tiger. We have so much more we want to try, and we look forward to visiting again once we're able to venture out again. Enjoyed eating here with my family! The service was accommodating and the food came out very fast. The atmosphere was very clean and peaceful. The food was excellent. We ordered chicken satay, crab wontons, papaya salad, sticky rice, crying tiger and a mango ice cream dessert. The only thing I was confused about was that they only had purple sticky rice instead of the normal white sticky rice that I'm used to. (I'm half Thai and have been to Thailand a few times but this was the first time I had purple sticky rice haha ) It still tasted great, but there is a difference in texture from what I'm used to. We are from California and were on our way to Seattle and decided to try out "I am Thai Eatery"! Extremely disappointed! If they stop serving at that time...they should change their hours! This place is ok. I was at the Kaiser next door and decided to check it out. The Spicy Cashew Nut with Chicken was ok but not very complex from flavor perspective. The Basil Fried Rice with Chicken was better although not the best I have ever had. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes and will try their the curry dishes next time. read more

Was on my way from Portland, OR, and got pork pad thai and crab fried rice. Pad thai was okay with a bit more sauce than what I used to have in other pad thais that I've had in other places. Also the proportion was about 50-60% of what I'd get from other places at the same price (in about the same quality restaurant). Crab fried rice was kinda disappointing with barely any CRAB in a CRAB fried rice and seemed like it lacked oyster sauce while making it making the food seem a bit on the bland side but somehow salty enough maybe due to too much salt? (Maybe they tried to substitute oyster sauce with salt cuz they were running out? idk :/) read more

Angry Bird, any noodle dish, curries...everything is impeccably prepared and presented. And the fact that they are ALWAYS in a 4-5 star range every meal sets them apart from most Vancouver restaurants. Between I Am Thai and Planet Thai, Planet Thai is always delicious, great seating area, but from time to time we go to I Am Thai. It's usually pretty good, I love the Tom Yum noodle soup, deliciou. today I ordered the pad see ew, it was just under $19. OverpricedIt was not worth that. The beef was very tough, and a lot of rubbery fat in it. Unbelievable how expensive it's gotten, and the food did not measure up. I will not be back. I don't like like leaving poor reviews, I almost even called them and went back and asked them to give me a refund or order something different but I literally lost my appetite. It was pretty bad. It's sad because I would love to see this business make it, but I will never pay that kind of money for soggy noodles and leather like beef. Planet Thai is our go to from here on out. read more

I think its because we have both had some delicious Thai food over the years restaurants every where. its an adventure trying different Thai places when ever we could. so now we both find ourselves in the beautiful PNW. reading Yelp reviews clues us In to Thai food spots.but I'm discovering that trusting 4 and 5 star reviews is a shaky undertaking. we read the good reviews and then we go. with I am Thai Eatery we were both so hoping that the reviews were going to hold true. nope! just to set the record straight...... im not writting this review to damage this business in any way. my intention with all of my reviews is to share and express my honest experience. with the hope that the owners will read and improve or keep doing all the great work they are doing. when we entered Iam Thai Eatery we both were impressed with the tables and over all decor of the inside...very nice and clean. uncomplicated and spacious. the young gentleman that took our order was friendly and he was young and a bit inexperienced. but he was pleasant and he even helped me deciede which curry to order. which ended up being pineapple curry . I could tell from his enthusiasm that it was a favourite of his. I only wish I could say the same for me. we both got papaya salads. initially they looked good. they had romain lettuce on the side. then we started to eat and we found lettuce underneath the papaya. it was just a small amount of papaya and lettuce. never had lettuce mixed in with a papaya salad. I've seen were the lettuce is a one or two large lettuce leafs as a side accoutrament but never chopped lettuce mixed in the salad. sorry to say the papaya salad was a miss for both me and my companion. my companion ordered Angry bird which is a half grilled and fried chicken with rice and a small side of rocket greens. he didnt enjoy the chicken he said it was too dry. He tried to eat as much as he could. the rice with the angry bird was sticky rice. he was expecting it would be regular steamed rice. and on top of that he said and, I could see the sticky rice was dry and over cooked. for me I ordered the pineapple curry with veggies no tofu. I hate to have to say this but it was probably one of the worst curries I've had in recent memory. the curry sauce it self was too sweet. but even worse then that was their were barely any vegetables . it had 3 small over cooked broccoli florets some carrots, a bunch of pineapple chunks, and lots of out of a tin bamboo shoots. where are the great assortment of vegetables? I didnt order any meat I didnt order tofu. oh I forgot to mention their was lettuce leafs in the curry as well. at first I thought they were cabbage. but I chequed them out an it was all lettuce. I'm sure if any body ordered chicken or beef with their curry and they only got 2 small pieces of meat they wouldnt be happy..... same for me I ordered mixed vegetables and all I got were 3 small over cooked broccoli. and an over amount of tinned bamboo. all I can say is this is a prime example of 4 and 5 star reviews that we were both left wondering......why our experience (food) was not 4 or 5 star. read more
