Highlights/Lowlights 1) Cool Ambiance 2) Good Food 3) Fun Menu We've been wanting to try I.d. for awhile! We made a reservation a few weeks in advance and I'm glad we did, it was pretty full! The vibe here is super cool. Not overly fancy but still feels upscale despite the pretty reasonable menu prices. The menu is eclectic with shareable small plates ranging from fries, to salads, to sushi. I wouldn't say this is the best for gluten-friendly options but the server did help us navigate the menu and seemed well informed about which options could be modified. We did the fries, harvest salad, pork belly and burger. Everything was good but a little salty for my liking. The peanut butter candy torte (gluten-friendly!) was the star for me. Cool restaurant if you are in the area!

My kids gave me $140 gift certificate and they love this place. So me and the wife went and it was a great experience. Very friendly service with attentiveness and great detail on the menu. We had an array of things. I couldn't say there was a bad thing on the menu to be honest. You should just check out the menu and look at the illustrations I posted. Everything is high-quality and very fresh. I highly recommend the cocktails as well. Beautiful area with a touch of very quaint. Enjoy a nice romantic evening I.D.

From the moment we walked in, the service was top notch -- attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The drinks were amazing (like, perfectly crafted and beautifully presented), and dinner was exceptional. Every bite felt intentional and full of flavor. It's one of those places that makes you want to linger a little longer. Highly recommend for date night or a special night out. 10/10 experience.

Absolutely loved our experience here. Came in an hour before close but Julie N. was extremely polite and helpful. We had some delicious mains and fabulous desserts. 10/10 recommend the ice cream sandwich if you like punchy guava.

This restaurant was sooo good! The decor in this place is classy and cool, and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us pick out the right amount of food and what would be best of leftovers, since our eyes are bigger than our stomachs. We loved the tapas style shareable menu, everything we ate was delicious with no notes. 10/10 will be back!

If you haven't been to I.d. yet, what are you waiting for?? This is our absolute favorite spot to dine in the lake country area. The staff is always incredible, the vibe is perfect, and the food... my goodness!! They are the perfect spot to try many smaller dishes and the best part is they are constantly changing the menu. This is what keeps us coming back! Even with the change, the new items are always amazing. Our favorite this to share (that never changes) is the warm feta dip. Also, the cocktail of choice is the "meet me in the garden" my wife absolutely loves those. You can go wrong here, highly recommend!

This place is STUNNING. From the outside of the hotel to the romantic interior, the ambiance is fantastic. The food here is constantly changing but consistently fantastic. The truffle fries are a staple, paired with a garlic aioli. The sweet fire chicken bread flatbread was great if you're looking to venture out a bit. The truffle mac and cheese is more on the Al dente side, not too overbearing of a truffle flavor as well. The wait staff is incredibly attentive, filling drinks, bringing food, and very polite. Overall a perfect date night or special occasion spot l!

First impressions make a difference. Welcoming and visually appealing lighting, intentionally simple yet chic decor, private dining rooms with comfortable seating and appropriately selected dining music and impeccable service. Dust off your fancy clothes this place is a great location for a business dinner or date night with your friends group. We eat with our eyes first and I.d. takes plating to the next level. If you dine with a large group you get to try a bite of each dish and you will truly leave happy and satisfied. What should you order? Glad you asked because we had the chef select our dishes and here were my favorites: Snack category - the truffle fries are to die for and of course get the crispy brussel sprouts because everything is better with bacon and bacon is truly the star of this dish. Bread category - because there is a category specific to bread you need to order it because it comes with all the bread types and foie gras and bone marrow spreads take those carbs to the next level. Shared plates category - if you haven't tried a smash burger please order it you will not be disappointed. Be sure to also order the scallops which are served with a rice cake, bok choy and ginger plums which makes for a fantastic bite. The hanger steak marinade was very flavorful and comes with broccolini and I'm a fan of broccolini. Dessert category - you will be full by this point but order all the desserts because you just try a small bite of each one. My favorite was the caramel apple accompanied with horchata ice cream and a fancy designed cinnamon sugar fried dough. My next favorite was the chocolate pecan crunch bar served with butterscotch ice cream - truly sweet. For certain a five-star dining experience - make your reservation today.

Last night we had my birthday dinner at I.d. inside the Delafield Hotel. This place has been on my yelp list for quite some time. We are also glad that we ended up there for dinner. Our server, Parker, started by telling us the history of the hotel, and what type of restaurant I.d. is. Which is a small plates shared experience. And let me tell you, you will have an experience. We had a party of four, and we chose to have 4 to 5 starters, three main shared, and some flatbread. Also, he recommended the craft cocktails from the menu. They were absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong choosing any one of them.He recommended the craft cocktails from the menu. They were absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong choosing anyone of them. My favorite was"Meet me in the garden". Parker also recommended what type of wine to pair with the menu. All of the shared plates we had were very generous in size, more so than you would find at a normal tapas type restaurant. from the truffle fries, to the tempura foraged mushrooms,to the Hagar steak everything was fabulous. From the beautiful decor, to the dinner, and a sweet finish with a birthday cake for me , the evening was wonderful. Largely due to the magical Parker our server. If you are lucky enough to have him attending you for the night, you will lack for nothing. Great place for any special occasion, date night, dinner with a group of friends. Highly recommend. The one thing that was something that could be improved upon, is when the courses came. I felt like they were rushing us? I thought it was going to be spaced out a bit more than it was. I felt like we had food on food on food on the table. We even asked if they could slow down the courses, which they said they would, but they did not. That is the only downfall.

A shout out to the Delafield Hotel. If you live in WI and want a staycation, I definitely recommend staying at the Delafield Hotel and dinner reservations at I.D. I am a bit weary on hotel restaurants but I love this place. The ambiance is cool and sleek. The food menu alternates to keep things refreshing. I noticed the drink menu doesn't change as frequently. The server recommended a couple duplicates for our party of 6 but we could have stuck with 1. The favorites of the night were warmed whipped feta & herbs, peruvian grilled octopus, and black angus tenderloin. The smoked chicken and chorizo paella and kimchi porky belly flatbread were a fun take. I personally would pass on the double cheesy smash burger and the short rib & oyster mushroom birria tacos. They were tasty but do yourself a favor and go to a burger or taco joint for these items. Service was attentive and the food came out at a good pace. Definitely check out I.D. There is a little something for everyone on their menu.

    Textbook Merlot

(NOTE: This is a reprint of a review I made on May 25, 2025 under my old profile.) My husband and I enjoyed our first experience at I.d. last night, along with his sister and her husband, long-time fans of the restaurant that offers an exquisite menu to match its elegant and inviting decor. Our server, Kim, was cheerful, welcoming, and attentive, and helped us make a few decisions since there were so many exceptional options. My husband and I ordered a bottle of Textbook Merlot, and my sister-in-law went with an n/a version of their Walk in the Garden cocktail upon Kim's recommendation. Both were the perfect accompaniments to our meal, which included the warm whipped feta appetizer, grilled octopus and Early Harvest salads, pork empanadas, scallops, Korean BBQ lettuce wraps, and the tri-tip flatbread. My SIL is gluten-free and except for the empanadas and flatbread, she was able eat everything else (she was even given GF crackers in addition to the pita that came with the whipped feta). The standouts for me were the feta, empanadas, and scallops. The octopus, while tasty, was a little cooler than my liking (but it was in a salad, so I should've expected that), and the flatbread was a bit salty for my taste (but I hardly salt anything, so that's not a surprise either), but nothing was left at the end of the meal because as a group we found it all to be delicious. Overall, our first visit was an excellent experience, and it certainly won't be our last!

Such a pleasant surprise! A must-try in Delafield, hands down. We were seated right away out on the patio. What a lovely space! We ordered the Japanese milk bread, heirloom carrots, lobster pasta, pork belly tacos and chocolate crepe cake. OMG not one thing disappointed. The rolls were perfection. The beet radiatore pasta with the lobster was phenomenal, loved the color! The carrots may have been the best I've ever had with that dark chili oil. The tacos were flavorful and light. And finally the crepe cake-- that lavender whipped ganache was delightful. The pricing is steep but the food quality and ambiance totally match it. Our waiter was prompt, professional and not only knew the menu well, he made great recommendations-- too. Ok, the drinks though. I ordered first the Meet Me In the Garden-- the cucumber vodka was perfect for a summer day. Then the Pico de Vodka-- again, such a summery drink with the cucumber and basil. I kind of want to try everything their bartenders stir and shake up! I.d. is a big city treasure living in little old Delafield. Checkout their seasonal, always changing menu if you're ever in town.

We were very surprised how long it's been open. I decided to get a flight. In the past, I've noticed when ordering a flight usually there's a dollar or two price difference (discount) when you order a flight, but at voodoo they charge you per beer on your flight. So there's no savings compared to other breweries that I've been to. We ordered three additional different beers at the table and all of them were amazing. We ordered two different cocktails at the table, and both of them were extremely strong and hard to drink. However, the presentation was great. As for the food between the four of us, we shared the pub pretzel, chicken, schnitzel, the meatball sub special, and the truffle quesadilla. All of us enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back. Two suggestions would be: 1. We sat at a four top table. When ordering the pub pretzel the pizza pan that they used to put the pretzel on took a lot of the table up. Very limited space. I would suggest getting a half sized plate and possibly hang the pretzel? Other breweries do this. If not the same thing with pizza, you can have a stand for it. You lose so much table space that we really had nowhere to put anything. 2. As far as the paper towels on the table. Those as well take up a lot of space. It's one thing when it's a larger table, but as for a four top, I would definitely try to think of a different option. We found ourselves constantly trying to re-organize and move water glasses, etc.

This visit was a bit disappointing. Food: We started with a couple of the Sangria specials, a beer, and I ordered one of their signature cocktails, the Dolce Old Fashioned. The sangrias that arrived weren't actually the ones we had ordered. Our server caught the mistake as she brought them to the table and offered to have the correct ones made or let us keep these at no charge. Since they were delicious, we happily kept them. My Dolce Old Fashioned was excellent. We skipped appetizers because we wanted to save room for dessert. After all, it was my birthday dinner. We ordered two pizzas, the pork chops, and I chose the Duck Leg Confit. The timing of the entrées was awkward. It felt more like a tapas dinner than a restaurant serving a table together. My duck arrived first, then we waited. Next came the pork chops, followed by another wait. Finally, about ten minutes after the first plate arrived, the two pizzas were served. It's much more enjoyable when everyone can start eating together. Everyone really enjoyed their meals, with one exception: my duck. It was drier and tougher than I had expected. The braised cabbage and roasted potatoes that accompanied it were both very good. Given how the evening had already gone, I didn't make an issue of it, but I did make a mental note not to order that dish again. We finished with several desserts, including the Almond Cake and the Warm Date Cake. Both were excellent and provided a nice ending to an otherwise uneven meal. Service: The service throughout the evening was good. We were seated right away, and our server, Nicole, greeted us promptly, got us settled in, and answered our questions about the menu and nightly specials. Unfortunately, she found herself apologizing several times during the meal. First for the incorrect drinks, and later for the staggered arrival of the entrées. None of those issues seemed to be her fault, and she handled everything professionally and with a great attitude. Atmosphere: The restaurant is attractive and thoughtfully laid out, with several different seating areas. Our table of four was in a smaller section they refer to as the lounge. The air conditioning kept the room comfortable, and the noise level made conversation easy. I'm not sure whether the food quality and timing issues were just the result of an off night or something more representative. It does make me pause before making another reservation. I may check a few recent reviews before deciding to come back.

Every dish had a nice wood-fired flavor. Excellent quality across the board, and the prices felt very reasonable for what you're getting. Our server was excellent - attentive, knowledgeable, friendly without hovering. The support staff kept our waters filled and dishes cleared seamlessly.
