10 minutes before a scheduled move, I called IHeartMovers to ask if they were on their way. At that point, I was informed that they had their permit to operate moving trucks suspended and that they would no longer be able to service our move. This is never something that you want to hear, but I spoke with Deavon who offered some alternative options involving us driving the truck. When we made it clear that we could not do that, we were told that we'd receive contacts for other movers who could help - and then were completely ghosted. We managed to find other movers on super short notice who were fantastic after calling over 20 other companies on our own initiative, but the lack of follow through in finding us an actual solution means that I cannot recommend these movers to anyone. read more

tl;dr: Worse than Just Moving Ourselves My fiancé and I were moving in together, so we took time off work and hired I Heart Movers to pack and transport our stuff from two apartments to one. I Heart Movers agreed to do this over two days. 1. On Day 1, they were supposed to come between 1 and 3 PM, but they showed up at 6:50 PM. 2. They packed up about 2/3 of my apartment and then said they had run out of boxes, so they'd have to finish the next day. 3. Despite blaming their quitting early on a dearth of boxes, they left behind large furniture and quite a few crates and bins that I'd already packed. 4. They didn't use any blankets or pads on the furniture, so my pristine white console and dresser slid around on the truck floor for the whole drive. They left deep gouges in the console, and the lacquer is very badly damaged on both. (See photos.) 5. On Day 2, they JUST DIDN'T SHOW UP AT ALL. Three hours after they were supposed to arrive, we finally got a hold of the owner, Deavon. He said that KJ from the team had slept in, and that they had an afternoon appointment with someone else, so they were going to that appointment, and we were just SOL. My fiancé took more time off work (I couldn't) and scheduled a Day 3 of this nightmare. 6. When we returned to my place to finish that job ourselves, we found that they'd left my mattress and several pieces of my bed just sitting next to a random apartment in the covered outdoor hallway all night. 7. I contacted Deavon because I was really angry by that point. He said that he'd go to my old place at 8 AM on Day 3, finish packing it, and then go and pack and move my fiance's apartment. 8. On Day 3, Deavon and Willis showed up at my old place at 8:40 AM and packed it up. 9. They moved on to my fiance's old apartment and packed and moved about 3/4 of his stuff. Then they said they needed to go to another appointment, and they left for good. The only reason that they get 2 stars instead of 1 is that Deavon didn't charge us for any of the labor on Day 3. Still, we paid $900 for this nightmare on Day 1 because it was almost midnight (because they'd started 6 hours late), and we were tired and hadn't seen all the damage and realized exactly how much stuff had been left behind. This was a truly awful experience that ruined my favorite, favorite, irreplaceable furniture and cost us an extra day of moving; and, in the end, we still had to pack and move and reassemble a whole bunch of stuff by ourselves. In fact, looking back, doing the entire move by ourselves would have been easier and less aggravating than hiring I Heart Movers. read more

Loved this team of strong, handsome movers! They showed up exactly on time and ready to start the job. Although not a huge deal to some, they also all had on masks and followed social distancing guidelines when possible. It made me feel very safe. I was so impresses with how quick, careful and thorough they were. It was like watching a live video game of Tetris because the truck was packed so neat and well! I booked an appointment to move a 200 SF apartment. I am moving between units (both locations are on the same floor). It took them 3 hours to move a few boxes, a desk, an easy assembled IKEA bed (with assembling), and assembling a wardrobe (which take 2 men 1 HOUR). When they show up, they do not bring any moving carts. I get this part, they are charging by times. SO they can charge me more times since they can only carry 1 bag per time. That's not even the most HORRIBLE part. They use my Helen Miller chair as a moving cart. I found that that towards the end of moving. It is not my fault to not let them bring a moving cart. They certainly have NO RESPECT for their customers' properties. AVOID them for sure. read more

Three years ago I Heart Movers helped me move into my condo. I was so pleased that I decided to hired them again for my most recent move. Unfortunately, this time around my experience was the complete opposite. I was very disappointed. Several items were scratched (without acknowledgement of its occurrence) Things were thrown into the truck and a good amount of stuff was left behind at my old place. There was no accountability taken from the company or the movers. When asked about the damaged items- I received an "I'm sorry" and whole lot of attitude. I had initially quoted for three hours however it took four an half to move a one bedroom apartment with storage half a mile. They left mats and other things behind. Very disorganized. In hindsight, its a little bizarre how these guys can be so professional, efficient, and friendly, for the rate they charge. Generally quality suffers as rates go lower, but not these guys. We were stressed out because we didn't know when we were closing on a house. But, Devon alleviated all that stress, by being flexible for us. We were able to soft hold an appointment, without the fear of losing the appointment and or losing money due to a reschedule. Marcus and Ricky came on time to our apartment, assessed the situation and got straight to work. They worked hard, fast, efficiently, meticulously, and carefully. By far the worst moving experience we've ever had. Essentially two random guys with a rented truck and no equipment whatsoever. We requested packing, and disassembly/assembly, but the two movers who showed up knew nothing about that and told us they just move things from point A to point B. Called us half an hour after our appointment window closed to tell us they'd be an hour late.. Not a huge deal, but grouped with everything else, just adds to the fact. We were moving from a 760sqft one bedroom apartment, quoted 3-4 hours. It ended up taking 7, and because they weren't packing anything we had them only take the large furniture we wouldn't be able to move ourselves.. So imagine if they had been doing packing too? One of the two movers wasn't wearing a mask the entire time, I'm not sure what kind of covid training they claim to have received. They broke our media center and then ghosted us when trying to get repaid for it. Many of our other things are scratched or dinged up. And at the very end, we have two large guys sitting on our couch with their boss on the phone telling us to pay our invoice now.. And trying to give our credit card number over the phone to him. Fortunately got him to email an invoice, but still got the shake down to pay it then and there. Because they hadn't done any packing, we needed to go to uhaul to get boxes and spend the next two days packing and moving everything in our car... That's why we had hired movers. The movers did not load our Uhaul container effectively. When we opened it up out of state at our new destination, we found that the box was about 3/4 full, while we were left with enough things at our original home that we had to order another Uhaul container. The movers could have fit all our belongings into a single container. Plus, they packed things illogically and some of our boxes were squished. We would not recommend this service. read more

Started with confusing back and forth via email, partly my fault because I didn't read what they had written me on Yelp and just replied to an email they had sent. Movers got to the house on time and were very fast. somebody tracked something black all over one of our rugs as they were trying to get the truck loaded. A large picture frame was broken and no one said anything about it. Our desk was dented and we found one of our lamps in the lobby two days later. I moved with them 2 years ago and I wrote this review back then and forgot to hit "Post" (so sorry!): I asked for these services: 1) Same city move from two apartments into one 2) Full pack w/ materials and light unpacking (basically, everything out of boxes and let us organize) Because of the two apartments they did the packing one day and the moving and unpacking next. To smooth things along I also called all apartment managers, set up reserved load/unload as close to the entrances & ramps as possible, and borrowed traffic cones to cone off the fronts where ever managers weren't helpful They were awesome at packing, moving, and unpacking. Moved 30 minutes north of Seattle in January. My team of three got a bit screwed over since I had requested the large truck and it got double-booked, but they did an amazing job carefully Tetris-ing our 2-bedroom apartment into the smaller truck. There's no way my husband and I would have been able to pull that off on our own, not to mention we have a LOT of heavy furniture. They worked fast and followed covid protocol. Worked with this company for a move on 3/30/2020. The movers arrived late by 1 hour, which I get it, could be traffic. During the move, a coffee table was broken by one of the movers. I get it, accident happens. At the time, we were told that the mover will cover the damages himself and that the owner will get involved. Paid the $600 bill for the move after being promised that the broken coffee table will be replaced (or compensated if no replacement can be found). As of 4/22/2020, we have not been compensated and with no clear path to resolution. The mover now said the the owner wants a price confirmation, which we provided via a simialr table being listed for sales on the funiture website on 4/8/2020. I left a message with the company and waiting to hear back... 5/1/2020 Update: Been exchanging messages with the owner in the past few days, we agreed on a compensation price and I received the fund quickly. Fast efficient and to be honest when you add how easy it was and the reduction of stress time, it was as much for them to move it then to rent a U-Haul and do it myself with a few buddies. The whole thing took three hours and they got right after it. They showed up a bit later than expected but I think that was due to construction and traffic. I'd recommended them. Did that stop them? Absolutely not! These two gentleman worked their butts off getting all of my stuff loaded and unloaded at full speed with zero breaks! In fact, I have used another moving company a few times and had always felt super loyal. They'd been reliable and careful and fast. But when I called them a few weeks back about moving again, the owner mentioned he'd recently gotten hurt and was out of commission for few months. Shoot! He offered a few recommendations and thanks to his suggesting I Heart Movers (and their stellar Yelp reviews) I decided to give them a call. Problem is - I gave them super short notice and I was hoping they'd be avail at the end of the month. And this is where things are awesome: THEY WERE AVAILABLE! It was a total dream scenario. Deavon the owner, answered the phone and was super kind. We went through a few time frames and he was able to squeeze us in and get our move scheduled. The day-of he showed up exactly on time and moved our entire 2 bedroom/2 bath condo into the new space in less than 2 hours. It was so affordable we handed over cash (and tip!) and sent him on his way. Nothing was damaged, no walls or doors or frames were dinged or dirtied, and just days later it already feels like we've been in our new home for years. My husband and I have had an extremely stressful two months as we planned and executed a cross-country move with three young kids. We knew our storage pods were arriving within 2-3 days to our new house, but we did not know specifically date or time.
