If you come here, the first thing you should ask for is the Mexican burger, because they are so meaty and thick and juicy and amazing that they tend to sell out pretty fast. Guys! I love Churros--it's so good! The coffee is amazing. I ordered the horchata latte and, even though I usually don't like horchata, this one has me hooked. The churros were perfectly cooked: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The decor is beautiful and cozy, with live plants on every table and great music playing softly in the background. Such a good find! Food and a place to study!!! My favorite combo. Prices are a bit on the higher end for food, but you do get a good amount. We got the torta and the chicken enchiladas with tomatillo. The torta was excellent with really great tasting pork. My only complaint is adding something crispy for texture. It was our first time trying I love churros although it's been on my list for years! Immediately I noticed they sold ice cream and was surprised - I only knew about the coffee and churros. (I had a sample of the horchata ice cream and it was sooo creamy & delicious!) Turns out they offer a variety of foods from tortas to quesadillas & even margaritas and other desserts! I saw a couple there enjoying a regular non-dessert meal so that means it must be good. I'll have to come back another time for that! We got a 5 pack of mini churros with cajeta & chocolate ganache sauces. My kids tore them up ! They were warm, a little crispy, and delicious. I liked that they weren't small nugget sized churros like I expected. The restaurant is inviting from the moment you see the turf patio with umbrella covered tables. The pink and hearts everywhere are super cute and really fit the vibe for a girly date ! There's plenty of seating and even a few table games offered for groups to use. Ok so I knew this place as here but it's kind of in an awkward parking lot with unknown business and didn't look appealing to me. But we decided to try and OMGEE y'all! It's so beautifully decorated on the inside and the sandwich was ultra delicious I can't explain enough! Just come try it ! The guy at the counter suggested the Pierna adobada torta and the pulled pork was delectable! It's a really big sandwich so I would suggest sharing if you can't eat too much. What a Gem!!!! I am so glad we went café hunting today. On the quest for the best café this one is towards the top of my list right now. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and the young man asked if it was our first time there. He went over the menu with us and encouraged us to ask questions if we had any. This place is super cute. I love all their potted plants. Their whole decor was perfect. I was just going to go in for a churro and a drink, but once I saw all they had to offer, I ended up buying some pastries to go. I loved the guava croissant. It was huge, so I had it over a two day span. The quesito was also very good. I thought it was going to be savory, but I was actually sweet. Not overly sweet, but it was definitely a dessert. I did get a traditional churros and the matcha lavender latte to consume there. The churro was good, but I have to say I'm a churro snob and I have had better. The lavender was overpowered by the matcha. I couldn't really taste it. The drink is iced. I don't know if you can ask for it hot. I did notice they staff was disorganized that day. I asked for my churro a total of four times before I finally received it. I was in a group of 5 and two other people had to inquire about their orders several times too. They did bring stuff out one thing at a time, but the pastries are already made, except for the churro, so we didn't get why some people got their hot drinks 10 min before their muffins. Really enjoyed the aesthetic, service, and food/ drinks. This dessert shop is located in a nondescript strip mall on the corner of Huebner and Bandera. Plenty of parking and there's outdoor seating as well. Jethro, the owner, took our order and chatted with us about the place, which is extremely Instagrammable, and plans to expand to a torta shop. Their Horchata Latte is a must and I don't even like horchata. When you drink it with your churros it's perfect because the strong coffee tempers the sugar of churros. The churros were fried a LITTLE too hard for my liking, but that didn't stop me from eating 7 of my ten. Try the pastry cream and cajeta sauces with yours. Be warned, 10 is filling. I should've gone with 5, but at least I have leftovers. We'll definitely be back to try more sauces and more of their drinks. read more
