Bought a LivingSocial deal for$60 thought I was getting a great deal only to find out I got synthetic lashes, that fell off in less than a week, and were hard and stiff. So basically 3 weeks doesn't mean 3 weeks for the people at I love lash. I had scheduled a 2 week fill up appt and because it was the 18th day since I did my new set they wanted to charge me 3 week prices. She rather lose a customer then honor the 2 week price. Not to mention the last time I was there Mina did a horrible job and constantly kept getting up to attend to the phone and to other customers while taking care of my eyelashes. The first time I went I had Hana and she was professional and gave me what I asked for. Even provided me with a heating pad. Mina has served me twice and neither times has she given me a heating pad or made me feel comfortable. I am never going there again. I suggest they fix their "policy" 3 weeks is 3 weeks period. It's been a week since I first got my lashes done at I Love Lash and I have to say they still great! It was my first time getting it done here and I felt so welcomed by the receptionist. She took her time explaining what eyelash size and shape I should get before moving forward. Also, she gave me discount coupons to give to my friends. I laid down and my tech started working on me and her hands were so delicate on my eyes because I barely felt anything! I came in yesterday and saw Julie. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it was my first time at this facility and i've never done eyelash extensions and I feel like I was being rushed into picking the style and length I wanted to get done. Luckily I have done my research before going in and knew what i was looking for. Also, Julie did mention she only had a hour so I was worried she was going to rush the process with me, and even though she did finish within the hour the lashes did come out really gorgeous. I love "I Love Lash"! The atmosphere provided is beautiful, welcoming and serene. The technicians are both friendly and professional. I always leave there feeling absolutely beautiful -- but also not "over-done". I find that a re-fill is needed about every two weeks... but, that's fine because I enjoy going. I went to get my lashes done and the initial technician snagged my eyelashes several times. It was painful. Also, some of the lashes were incorrectly placed. It looked and felt as if they were placed directly on my skin. Every time I blinked, I felt a pricking sensation on my eyelids and the next morning I woke up with swollen eyes. I called back to get them redone and was told on the phone that sometimes when you don't have lashes, that they'll place them on the skin... which is the first time I ever heard of this before and I have gotten my lashes done many times before. No apology from the get go. I went back and a different technician worked on my lashes. She told me that the lashes were just placed so close to my eyelid that it felt like it was on my skin. The manager, I assume, came by to see what was going on and was told that they were incorrectly placed. No apology then either. The technician worked to removed the parts that were irritating my eyelids. By the end, it felt much better but didn't seem like the full 80 set piece per eye I had originally paid for. A week later I have less than half my lashes. I don't think getting your lashes done here is worth the price especially with sub par customer service. read more

I bought a Groupon for 100 Glamorous Lashes on each eye. The salon is very nice and well kept and they played relaxing music. I was on the table for a hour and a half so it was very nice that they give you a blanket and try and make you as comfortable as possible. While I was getting my eyelashes done the way they put the tape irritated me terribly I just wanted to scratch my eyes, when it was finally done on my right eye there was a chunk of glue that kept scraping my eye. I had to take my contacts out and wear glasses for a day so that I wouldn't get an abrasion. Now my eyelashes looked great immediately after I left. I thought my right eye didn't look as full but nothing that noticeable. I got a bunch of compliments. Then the day after they were done my right eye had about 30% less lashes. I would have gone back to complain but I was leaving for Arizona on Vacation. a week after they were done I now only have 20% of the lashes on my right eye, and my left eye has almost all of them still left. I wouldn't be upset if they both equally were losing lashes, instead I look wonky eyed and have to figure out tricks to make my eyes look even when I do my makeup. I am torn because I want this fixed so my eyelashes look even again, but I do not want to go back to them and get the same results. I have a feeling the reason this is happening is because the woman who normally checks people in started my left eye (which stayed) and then switched with another woman who then did my whole right eye (which did not stay). She obviously didn't know what she was doing. I would not recommend them again. There are so many places that do eyelash extensions and I wouldn't waste my time or money getting subpar service. read more

I do find that longevity tends to vary by technician. UGH!! I really wanted to love this place. Half of the reviews raved about I love lash , and half of the reviews had a bad experience, but I took a risk anyway. I've been getting my lashes done at stylash for years but decided to try a new place because of lack of parking. I read the reviews about I love lash and was so excited to make an appointment. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly. When I got to the place, there was parking and the salon was inside a nice shopping mall. The salon was beautiful. It was very clean and they played soothing music. The lady at the front was so friendly and she walked me through all of the different shapes, sizes and styles of lashes. I've been getting my lashes done forever so I knew what I wanted and we were all set! The lady who did my lashes was very patient, as my eyes are sensitive. The beds are comfy and clean and they give you a warm stomach pad and a cozy blanket to relax. The entire experience was AMAZING, I was positive this was my new go-to salon, until I saw my lashes! I was so disappointed! They looked thin, and even though I paid for 80 lashes per eye I looked like I only had 50 lashes per eye! I figured I could put some mascara at home and they would look better so I did not complain but sure enough, days later and I'm losing lashes rapidly. I might have to go get a FULL refill somewhere else tommorrow and it's only been six days!!!! I have never experienced such a thing in all the years I've gotten my lashes done!! For people who have never gotten lashes, this place may be the cream of the crop but since I've gone to many salons and had quality work done I am very disappointed in the job! I did not bother contacting them because I was turned off at the fact that I paid 95$ including tip (even with a first time discount) and I felt totally robbed. I decided to go to I Love Lash before my wedding because I wanted that dramatic lash look without the risk of them falling off....I wish I had come sooner! Ever since I've been a devout fan of the salon. Julie and all of the women there are exceptional at what they do. I love that I can choose different lash looks every time I come (natural but just longer, full and dramatic etc etc). I had the absolute worst experience ever! My lash tech was sneezing and sniffling throughout my lash application and I asked her if she had a cold. She said no she had allergies. Well, my sneezing started within hours and turned into a full blown cold. This is only my first issue. Secondly, I had to come back the same day because my tech had not applied enough lashes to the inner and outer corner of one eye. I wasn't able to see this at the salon and only saw it when I got home in better lighting. That evening my eyes were red and bloodshot...and I began to wonder if they had not used the sensitive glue as a I requested. By the next morning, in addition to feeling sick with a cold, sneezing, running nose, etc, my eyes were now not only red, but they hurt when I blinked them. I called the shop and explained my condition....they said they would have Julie, the manager call me. I waited and then called back and asked to have them removed. I went in later in the afternoon and had them removed, which brought me to tears it was so painful. To make matters worse the tech kept talking to her co-worker while doing the removal. Her face was close to mine as she was working, so I could feel her breath on my face as she spoke each word. I asked her to please stop talking so close to my face. I was so disgusted, especially after having caught a cold from the previous tech. I will say, she tried to comfort as I cried from the pain, but she continued talking to her co-worker. I have never experienced anything like this level of unprofessionalism. It's now been over 8 hours and the manager still hasn't called me with an apology. I wish I could give 0 stars, but in order to leave a review you have to give at least 1 star to post the review!!! They did give me a full refund, but I would have also appreciated the $30 tip back that I gave the technician. Especially since I had to go out and buy cold medicine and eye drops. I advise you to stay away from this establishment. Horrible....absolutely horrible experience!!!!!! A complete nightmare!!!! Do not waste your time or money!! read more

i visited i love lash after purchasing a groupon deal. it was very easy to get a reservation. service was friendly and my technician mina was friendlly as well. the lady in the front gave me a binder and explained that i can choose different styles, lengths and curl type. after picking what i wanted i layed on the bed and they gave me a hot pack to keep on my stomach which i thought was a very nice touch. my technician mina proceeded to work her magic on me. it didn't hurt, it was quick, there were no fumes... i was done in about 40 minutes. i looked in the mirror and my lashes weren't on perfectly.. especially the lashes on the outer corner of my eyes made me look droopy. i pointed this out and mina told me that the lashes on my eyes aren't perfectly even-which i thought was a poor excuse. the lashes were supposed to stay on for 2 weeks and then start falling out but they have already started falling out. and when i wash my face, even while being very careful, my eyes turn bright red.. and the same goes in the shower. it's been 2 full days now and about 25% of my lashes are gone. i think the glue they use at the salon is weaker than most and i feel bad for saying this but i don't think my technician was very skilled either. with lash extensions, the curls should all be facing one way...but with mine, it looks like i have strays that i should pluck out. they aren't all facing out. overall, they were nice, the salon is well kept, but i don't think i'd be returning. their prices are also pretty high.. starts at $100 for 60 lashes.. that's a bit extreme imo. read more

I've been to this place a few times. Their quality is not consistent! I wanted to refill my lash before my trip on a Saturday and called for a last minute appointment. When I arrived, the place was empty. The lady who did my lash was kelly. And she is the worst technician you can ever encounter. My lashes all started to fall out the same day!!!! She insisted that I should purchase lash serum and stated it would make my lash last longer and stronger. She charged me 50 for it and as I previously stated the lashes did not last at all. Oh and stay away from the massage lady, she's horrible and expect you to pay her a lot of tip for the horrible massage that she gives!! read more

I came here because I bought a living social deal. when I walked in - Julie who checked me in and explained what style, length, and curl I should get based on what I'm looking for. She then recommended adding an eye treatment ( eye patch) for extra $5 ( it's cheap consider when I get in the city for $10) , best idea because I just don't like when tech using tape only. This Place is clean and cute. Olivia who was my tech, she is very gentle. I loved my result and eye mask is a must get. I don't know why there so many bad review about this place. This is for their tenafly location-- went with a same day appointment and she was very nice and knowledgeable. I had a groupon for the 60-70 set, and didn't feel treated any differently as a groupon customer. No mention of tip (another reviewer mentioned that the fort lee location demands a certain amount), but she did a great, meticulous job and I gave her a 20% cash tip. Came here a total of 3 times. The first time was great. Took a while but no pain, no discomfort just a slight burn when I opened my eyes and the lashes came out gorgeous. The second time I had an appointment and I guess they were behind schedule and I ended up being taken 30 minutes later then my scheduled appointment. No apology or compensation for wasting my time. The lash tech then seemed very rushed and I felt as if she was poking my eyes with the extensions and gluing them way too close to my actual eyelid. Some of them appeared to be glued on my actual lid. There was intense burning the entire time and my eyes were red at the end of my appointment. The lashes looked nice but about 2 hours after my appointment I had pain when I blinked. It almost felt like my eyelash follicles were soar. When I moved the lashes with my finger I felt poking so I called them back and they instructed me to come back. I came back and they proceeded to look through my lashes and remove the ones in the area I described the pain in. The pain did reduce a little but still felt some discomfort. I decided to tough it out and left. When I got home I noticed that when they removed the ones in the area that I was having pain they took my natural lashes with them! Needless to say I was very upset. I waited 4 weeks to go back and almost all the extensions had fallen out except the ones that appeared to be glued to my actual lid. I made another appointment and decided to give it one more try because of how convienent and time saving they were. I did not want to go through the same anguish as my second appointment so i decided to make an appointment with the technician who did my lashes the first time, Kattie. I went to the tenefly location instead of the fort lee location where I had gone the two previous times because that was where she was working. Katie was great. She shows concern and takes her time. The appointment was great and I was in love with my lashes. To my dismay, I woke up the next morning with both of my eyelids very swollen and uncontrollably itchy! I was horrified! To make matters worse the tenefly location was closed for the next two days and I could not return to have them removed or ask the technician what to do. I had no choice but to go to the fort lee location where the manager, I'm assuming, informed me that I should have them removed and that it looked like an allergic reaction. Another tech removed them and when they were finally all off my natural lashes were shorter then normal and covered in glue still. The tech rushed through the removal and they didn't offer me any sort of compensation for the 150$ I paid the day before to have them put on. The manager approached me before I walked out and told me that she had added a credit to my account for the next time I get them done! LOL! I took a deep breath and let her know that since my eyelids were still swollen double the size they normally are, itched like hell, and the very obvious fact that I'm allergic to the extensions I would have no use for the credit because I would not be putting them back on. Unless of course swollen eyelids somehow went into style. I left the salon and needless to say will never be returning. read more

free parking is in the garage under the mini mall. some stores under construction. place has a "paper sign" in front of building.. but they are on the 2nd floor. beautiful facility. all white everything. clean. when you walk in you see multiple tables for lash application to your right hand side with each table/technicians station separated by white translucent drapes. on left hand side is the cashier and a nail station to her left. there's 1 bathroom. as you walk in the door there is tranquil music playing, very relaxing. I love the ambiance. greeted by the receptionist/cashier. I came for individual lashes, but from what I saw they offer nail services as well not really sure if they offer anything else. anyways, they have a "menu" of options of lashes base prices. then she showed me an album of other different options like length, amount, curl degree, shape, under lashes ($30 extra), and they also had different options like glitter lashes and color lashes. great selection with pictures to help decide. this was my first time with authentic lash by lash application. once I chose what I wanted, a technician was ready for me. the tables are so soft, they cover them with a thin paper cover like the doctors office for sanitary purposes (which I love), there's a little pillow for your head and a pillow for under your knees. extremely relaxing! at the foot of the table there's an open box for your belongings (one cubby per table) so I suggest not to bring anything too valuable due to the fact your eyes will be closed for approx 1 hour. the technician proceeded to apply my lashes after placing white pads under assuming to prevent from sticking to bottom lashes & face & to be able to visualize lashes properly. she also put a thin cloth on my forehead which I liked bc due to the nature of the procedure they sort of rest their wrists on your forehead for eyelash application. the cloth served as a barrier to prevent the lady's natural sweat glands to get on my face, a cushion for her I'm assuming, and if I were wearing facial makeup it would prevent from smearing. it took approx 1 hour. there's a sign at the desk that says "minimum 15% gratuity" which the receptionist points out how much exactly 15% and 20% come out to. overall wonderful experience but average/expensive pricing for lash by lash extensions compared to other lash boutiques. maybe if they had specials which I'm not sure if they do on the regular I would come back. but it's too much for me, I came with a groupon, and especially for the amount of lashes. I paid for 60 lashes approx $55, but wanted more so for $20 more I got a total of 80 lashes, plus tip. I spent $95 for 80 lashes. they look very natural and amazing experience. fill in is like $60? if I'm not mistaken... but regular new set price is $130 and if you pass 2-3 weeks they don't let you do refill (which makes sense for sanitary reasons/ amount of lashes lost.) I got my lashes done on January 11th , I purchased a groupon deal for $99 which got me a set of mink lashes. The original price was $250. Setting up an appointment was easy , the lady I spoke to on the phone was very nice. I read the reviews on Yelp and saw the the reviews were very mixed. One thing that they failed to mention on the phone was that they require a minimum of 15% gratuity and it must be in cash, which is fine but I wish they would have told me this over the phone. I wouldn't have known this if it wasn't for the Yelp reviews. I went in and it was set up very nice , I spoke to the receptionist and explained to her what I wanted I even provided pictures. She told me since I was getting mink lashes that I only had 3 curl types to pick from and the longest length was 14mm. I also told her I wanted the 3D clusters but she said she could not do them with mink lashes but only with the synthetic and that it would be $30 more. She did not explain anything to me when it came to which length or curl type would look nice or what my lashes could hold. Luckily I did a ton of research so I somewhat knew what I wanted. They have you pick out a "eyelash style" that you want , gorgeous , natural or cute etc. I also read that the lash Artis is supposed to measure your lash so that you do not put on to long of a lash and so it does not weigh down and damage your natural lash. Basically she did not explain anything to me, this was my first time getting lash extensions so if I hadn't done some research I would have had no idea what to do. As far as the process I laid down on this kind of bed , they provide you with a blanket and a hot compress. She put the tape under my eyes and started applying the lashes. One thing I noticed is with every lash she put on I could feel it jabbing my eye. Once I was done she gave me a little card with care institutions and eye lash spooley. That day my lashes were very sore I could barely close my eyes without feeling the lashes on my eyes. It's been a week and my eyes are still hurting and sore. The lash artis attached the lashes to my SKIN and not my lash. Causing my eyes to become inflamed and very irritated. It's been about a week and a half my lashes look terrible. My eyes feel very irritated. Long story short I would not recommended this place they seem to not know how to apply the lashes properly. read more

I bought a voucher just last week and I just redeemed it at the Englewood Cliffs location. It was for the glamorous lash set. The Englewood Cliffs location was very nice and so was the girl at the desk as well as Mina the woman who did my lashes. The problem was that I made sure I asked her if the lashes were glued to my eyelashes & NOT my Eyelids and she said yes, they were going to be attached to my eyelashes. Well, when I left they looked nice but the next day my eyelids and lashes felt very stiff & hard. I tried to put on my contacts 2 days later and my eyes were burning and eyelids felt on fire. My eyelids did not stop burning and were bothering me to the point that I just removed them myself cause I couldn't wait to feel my eyelids free of any pressure. As I was struggling trying to take them off I saw that she had glued the eyelashes to my eyelids and that's why they felt so heavy and uncomfortable. I will never go back there again and even though I have a refill free because of the voucher, I will not be going back there. I've gone to a different place before and never had this happen. They always attach the lashes to my own lashes, Never to my eyelids. Also my eyelashes just didn't feel normal. They felt stiff and I couldn't even move them. Terrible place.
