I'm giving as many stars as I did because I do respect that they were open on a holiday when most other salons were closed. As a result they were busy, which I didn't mind. What I did mind is the quality of the gel done because they were busy is subpar. Several nails ended up very lumpy and bubbled, and their prices aren't crazy cheap to justify that. read more

A guy friend told me about this place, so it wasn't like I could see the paint job on him for proof, but I trusted his judgment anyway. I'm so happy I did. It's been a while since I've had a mani-pedi that has really rocked my world. This one most definitely did! I knew I was in for a good ride when I found a parking spot (with money still on the meter!) right in front of the shop. THIS NEVER HAPPENS ON 3RD STREET. Ever! Tag teamed by two women who are clearly perfectionists, not including drying time, I was done in less that 40 mins. $30 + tip and I even got a salt scrub that was noted to be more $, but wasn't charged for it. Classical musical playing, no one chattering away (aka talking shit about you) in another language and a relaxed, quiet atmostphere. Also impressed that it was extremely clean. They use plastic inserts in the foot soaking tubs and all the instruments consistently doused with alcohol. I do indeed love I Love Nails. read more

This place is decent. It's clean. The lady who did my nails did a pretty good job. She was pretty friendly too once I started talking to her. But unfortunately, I can't say I left the place feeling totally satisfied or happy. The employees are mostly typical Korean ladies. Not the most friendliest. Going to a nail shop, for me, is a little way I pamper myself. I'd like to feel pampered and relaxed. I can't say I felt that way when I was at this nail shop. Maybe I was expecting too much from a $13 mani (and extra $5 for taking my get polish off). A funny thing happened when I walked in and said I need a mani. One of the ladies must have thought that I wasn't Korean. Don't know how that happened since I look soooo Korean. She kind of pointed her face towards me and said to her coworker "that ajoomma should go next" or something of that sort. A little Korean lesson here. Ajoomma usually means older, married with kids lady. Oh, the look on her face when I spoke to her in Korean! She apologized for calling me ajoomma and I laughed it off. Honestly, I didn't really mind it all that much, but it was definitely not very professional of her to call a customer that. read more

Went to "I love nails" on a Tuesday at 7:10pm. Had mani/pedi with extra foot treatments. Left at 8pm feeling happy and pretty. Prices were average and affordable. Salon was clean and tidy. Staff was very friendly and chatted a little but were quite when they saw me relaxing with eyes shut. I'll defiantly be back when in the 90048 area read more

I am not impressed! I have been to this nail salon and both times my service has been TERRIBLE! It is a cute, neat salon with a decent color selection but other than that there is nothing else that makes it stand out. The ladies at the shop are polite, they don't speak much but this doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is the fact, that the both times I have gotten a full set my nails look like a second grader did them. The polish/finish does not look like a professional painted them. Three of my nails broke off just two days after getting them done. I have never had this happen before. When I went back she fixed them for free, but had an attitude about it telling me that she really was supposed to charge me but did not since I am a new customer. I reminded her that new customer or not, no fresh nails should break that easily. This is acrylic we are talking about... come on! My second visit (which was today) was also horrible. This time all I got was a fill in and I was charged $30!! That is the MOST expensive fill in that I have ever gotten. And I honestly do not see what I paid $30 for. Again my nails do not look like a professional painted them. I already want to get a polish change because they are so lack luster. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt, and tried it twice but I will not be coming back again because its rather apparent that they do not know how to do acrylic nails and they are way over priced. read more

Really a great little salon on W 3rd. The staff are welcoming, friendly and caring. The $30 deluxe pedicure was a steal....lots and lots of wonderful foot and calf massage as well as the pedi itself. The atmosphere is serene with classical music in the background; the brown rice tea an extra perk. The whole place is spotlessly clean.The ladies here were so lovely and courteous. I will be sure to make this my regular nail place. read more

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill. They used to be so good. My nails and feet were on the verge of looking like a 5th grader painted them. Thankfully, through communication, she was able to fix my nails before it got out of hand. However, I'm not sure if it's the nail technicians or the quality of the polish... because as of now, both are working against eachother. :( My pedicure...my pedicure...my pedicure...at one point I felt like saying "it's okay, I'll paint them myself once I get home" I gave them two stars because their owner was helpful and the prices are decent. But I'm not happy with my results. :( you live and you learn. BUT! If you go to Chris, you should be fine. She is quick and precise. Anyone else...I cannot vouch for. read more

My go to place for a gel manicure. They're really conveniently located, they never have much of a wait, and most importantly, they do a good job. Not the best I've ever had but it always lasts me at least 3 weeks so I really feel like I'm getting my money's worth. And they're so nice and thoughtful! Highly recommend :) read more

Just had my nails done here and observed racism at its worst - when the owner turned away a black man who wanted a Manicure and Pedicure. No one was waiting and she told him she didn't have time without even asking him to come later or wait. Again - no one was waiting and two minutes later a woman walked in without an appt and was immediately seated. I guess the sign on the door Walk Ins Welcome does not pertain to black men! I confronted the owner when my daughter and I were leaving and she backpedaled and said "well he isn't a regular customer" and when I called her out on that she said "well he's homeless". which he clearly wasn't. We won't go back and I hope others will choose another nail salon in our neighborhood- there are plenty! read more

5 stars! Fabulous manicure by an attentive and detailed technician, Tomo. What a surprise! I've even doing my nails myself lately because it seems like most salons just phone it in....trying to work as fast as possible and get it over with to go to the next customer. As a result I'm accustomed to chipping within 1-2 days and cuticles and ugly dry skin hat haven't been tended to. But this time I was treated myself!! After a relaxing facial a few doors down at Natural Feeling Spa I took a chance on I Heart Nails. Tomo was perfection. My nails looked on fire! Each nail was filed to the exact same shape and she got out every nasty cuticle and piece of dry skin. I will definitely be going back and will plan my manicure around being near this neighborhood. read more

This is my spot. They consistently do a legit job, the employees don't butcher my cuticles (you'd be surprised at how many places I've been to that make me BLEED), and the place is always stocked w/ great colors (OPI & Essie) as well as the essential trashy Hollywood gossip magazines. There's usually meter parking out front on 3rd as well as a small lot in back. Love 'em. read more

TIME FOR SOME HONEST FEEDBACK. So my girlfriend and I wanted to have a spa day and haven't gotten pedis in a while. Im visiting from las vegas and my.nail girl Roxanne from Point De Vue salon less than a mile away was busy...so I thought i'd get a pedi from someone else this time..we are actually both nail technicians and we love to treat and give services that we would want on ourselves. So we went on this website and saw GREAT reviews! well...turns out that wasnt the case. I feel like no pedicure should ever take 15 minutes or less! For a pedicure to truly be worth it and for your pedicure to last at least a month...it should take at least 30 minutes. THIS IS COMING FROM A NAIL TECHNICIAN MYSELF. Now heres where I go into detail.... The implements used didnt look properly cleaned so that can actually cause fungus or infections or even diseases. When she clipped my toe nails so fast that she wouldnt know if it was straight or not. On top of that...she files the toe nails wet! You should never file nails wet because it causes splitting of the nails. She barely filed at all and did such a sloppy job that the free edge was not smooth. she pushed back the cuticle area only on the big toe and did nothing with the little ones. In order for your toe nails to look polished you need to push back all that dead skin off the nail plate to have longer fresh looking nails. plus...dead skin is one of the reasons why nail polish or any products chips! 30 seconds for a massage? Really?! Just very disappointed and ruined my day. She didnt even get done with the pedi and I stopped her before she polished. For being in the service industry, I feel like you should give the clients what they want and that will last! She wasnt very warming amd had no passion for her job...which is really sad. If you're there might as well make the most of it! So thats my honest feedback...im sticking to my nail girl for now on! read more

I do not recommend this place. The lady was very rough w my nails and cut my skin. It wouldn't stop bleeding but she went on with it anyway. She messed up three of my nails but didn't bother to fix it. I am unsatisfied and will not be returning. read more

DO NoT GO.....Awful - terrible- crap -waste of my time- worst person ever did my treatment- I am livid- are you kidding me- shut the front door- do not go here. I am a larger girl and my friend whom I was with came with me- gorgeous and sexy. The nail woman was Looking at me and talking shit to the other ladies... That is obvious -- come on now... Just cause I don't understand your language doesn't mean I'm dumb enough to not know you are talking about me rudely. The ladies had no personality- I said hi first to 0 response. She didn't talk to me once. Mega bitch whore!! Thennnn.... I didn't get a foot massage- my friend did. I got scrub on my feet only- my friends scrubs went up the legs. I am finished - my friend is still going ( hence my time to write this!!) easily got 15 mins more than me. Oh and my friend was giving a stool to put her feet up... Apparently my disgusting feet get just the floor...! Hmmmmm. All up my treatment took 12 minutes. Important info: ***£*£££ No spa - they bring water tubs with no jets. No massage chair, no TV playing Bridget Jones diary(!!), no TV, just elevator music ( are ya fuckin with me??), no atmosphere what so ever. You know what else there will be none of.... A tip! WTF- this place ruined my day. read more

This place is great! Kris (spelling?) stayed late and gave me suuch a great pedicure!! She was soo sweet and friendly to talk with too. Pretty cheap: pedi- $20 and i believe manis are $12. They have a great selection of essie (my fav!!) and opi as well. Im sure they do gel but im not that into that. Clean, cheap, friendly & good! Will definitely be going back! Looved Kris! read more

I came across this hole-in-the-wall nail salon as I was frantically looking for a nail salon nearby my work... BOY! was it a FABULOUS find! So clean, cute, affordable and conveniently located near little shops on 3rd. The service is impeccable and reliable! Ive been doing my nails for a loooonng loonnnnnngg time... and have been to several nail salons and this one is by far the best. you MUST try the HONEY SCRUB.... TO DIE FOR! awesome, fabulous, great, wonderful..... makes your feet and legs super soft! There is honestly nothing negative about this place, except the parking can be a little tough.. I wanted a laid-back but professional experience - which is exactly what what I got. Mani-pedi for $30, less than an hour, soothing, thorough and pleasant. Plenty of color selections (I chose an OPI pale pink), soak and lotion, hot towel wrap for hands and feet, a quick massage. They cut and filed my nails a little too short for my preference but I haven't had that many mani-pedis in my life - maybe looks better that way! Would definitely recommend! read more

i love nails and i love this place! it's on busy third street and you'd expect it to be overpriced, but it's really really reasonable at 30 bucks for a mani/pedi, and you can add more $$ if you want more stuff. The place is simple and clean, and there are tons of colors to choose from! They also offer Shilac which i've never tried. The staff is professional and friendly, and they actually know what they're doing. Sometimes for 30 bucks (or even more than that) the technicians are completely clueless. they also have this stamping system where each time you go, you get a stamp, and I think a free manicure when you collect 10 stamps? Something like that... they're fast too. I got a mani-pedi in less than an hour. If you're in the area and are looking for a salon, this place is really legit:) read more

This is my go-to-spot for my manicures and pedicures! Aside from the fact that it's super convenient for me to get to, Chris who is the owner, always manages to help me get an appointment. Everyone who works there is super sweet and really cares about what the customer wants. I've seen some really rude people come in and demand things, and they handle every customer with the utmost grace and courtesy. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a nail salon!!! read more

Efficient salon. Sweet tempered staff. They do a FANTASTIC job!!!! AND they're a Real nail salon, not one of those BS places that won't do acrylics. They make you feel pampered in an environment where the energy (because of the staff's great temperament) is upbeat without feeling frenzied. Attention to detail and they don't nickel and dime u like other salons that keep adding a fee to things that are Supposed to be included. Love this place!!! read more

I live nearby so I walked in, but I think parking could be a bear - but if you're at the grove or farmers market, it's not a far walk. They no longer have massage chairs with those germ-tastic whirpool foot baths. Instead they have super cozy leather chairs and they use a footbath with a sanitary form-fitted plastic insert and pebbles (for spa-ness...? lol) . No garbage bags here...I HATE freakin garbage bags, wtf?! Who the hell ever thought that sticking my feet in a freakin garbage bag-lined bucket is glamorous?! very clean and sanitary. my mani / pedi was PAINLESS - I can't tell you how many times I get someone who whips a file across my nails so hard it tears cuticles... both ladies were very gentle and I felt like they really took their time and cared for my nails. they use Poshe base coats, Opi or Essie polish and Seche Vite fast drying top coat. (the BEST in my opinion.) $30 for a mani/pedi with exfoliating scrub and a glass of water. $30 for gel nail polish. (which i didn't get this time). love this place! read more

Ask for Annie!! She is incredible, she actually changed the nature of my nails from being brittle and weak to long and healthy after a couple times seeing her. She has a special technique for gel polish removal that is way less damaging to your nails. She always takes her time and does an amazing job. This is a cozy neighborhood spot. I've been coming here for a couple years now and the service is always really great, they know what they're doing. Perfect balance of a pampered experience and a no bull*%$ experience. read more

Terrible. Just terrible, slow low quality nail work. It took them over an hour and a half to do a regular mani pedi-- it shouldn't take that long. On top of that my polish started peeling after only a couple days and the color also faded significantly leaving my nails looking gross. Really bad job. read more

Not terrible but definitely not the best. You can see through the pink on my nails (not enough coats) and I just spent the last 20 minutes re-filing and picking gel out from underneath my nails. Disappointing for the price. read more

I Love ' I Nails ". It's on 3rd Street , perfect location if you need to either at Beverly Center or The Grove. The nail technicians here at I Nails are truly & Truthfully the best. Next week I'll be also doing my brow tinting. Truthfully, though, I get my nails done here every week if I'm in town . It's a miracle that they all ( all the nail technicians ) are not only nice , and they actually smoke when they do their jobs - But - they listen to their customers and they actually do what their customers ask them to do !!!!come here for DELUXE manicure & Pedicure when you're on this side of town ! And the price is right!! read more

Great space, prices were super reasonable, staff was really professional. Street parking in LA always sucks. There's a sign that says there is parking in back but I found a meter so I didn't bother looking to check out that situation. Me and my girlfriend came as walk-ins and we were sat right down and helped immediately. Including us the place was full! I was surprised at how busy they were at 3pm. Would totally come back if I were in the area (I live on the other side of the hill). read more

I'm not high maintenance on nail salons, and I Love Nails delivers perfectly on my needs: Near my house (check - can walk) Decent prices (check - $30 mani/pedi) Color selection (check - big with enough interesting colors) Long lasting (super check - no chips on my pedicure three weeks later) It's also comfortable and they are kind. A little small if you care about that, but my wait wasn't long. read more

Past Yelpers did a great job on reviewing I *heart* Nails. I was impressed from the moment I walked in. Gone are the generic "Spa" chairs and in there place are 5 or 6 low sitting arm chairs. The honey scrub was divine and both my nail techs were courteous, helpful and great. The tip on parking was spot on though. I've definitely found my LA nail spot and am happy about it. read more

I went here after trying the Paint Shop and the results were far better! I had the shellac manicure with a french finish. It took a good hour and a half but the french finish does add extra time. The manicurist had a different process for applying the polish than I have had in the past (she didn't heat the shellac and applied a wide white line then removed the excess polish to make it a thin white line), but the results were great. And the manicure lasted a good 8-9 days before it started to wear away. It definitely didn't last the full two weeks it is supposed to... but it was a far better result than the Paint Shop up the road. And was much cheaper. I had a french shellac manicure and regular pedicure here, for a cheaper price than a regular shellac manicure only at the Paint Shop. However I am still shopping around at various nail salons until I find the best result. read more

I came here on whim when I had time to kill before going next door for a facial. So I got a basic mani pedi for 30 and the quality of work was really outstanding. I don't expect non gel to last for more than 2 days. But in fact I've cleaned the entire house and washed many loads of dishes(mostly with gloves on sometimes not) and just traveled across the world - 4 days of activity and no chip! Definitely going back. read more

I went today the first time to I love nails and they welcome you warm and everybody is super nice and sweet. I need a new nail salon since my old one on 3rd messed up on me even if they always did a great job so I thought I give them a try. The lady who did my feet was really careful and gave me a great massage at the end but she didn't really remove my skin around my nails. I like to get it remove properly because my skin always grows in :( the lady who did my gel nails didn't really feel it. She also barley removed any skin from my nails and you can totally see it. I also sill have color from my old nail polish on my skin which also doesn't look that pretty. I really liked the atmosphere and how they treated me but the job on my nails was not that great. I might give them another try but for right now I am a little upset. read more

There are many salons to choose from in the area. My mom uses hard gel her nails and no salon would take her for a fill in (we're visiting). So this place was very accommodating and most importantly they made mama happy. If you're in the area it's a nice low key spot with very sweet women working here. read more

I got my nails done the same day of my birthday party, my pedicure did not last through the night. I added an enhancement to my toe nail so they would be even and perfect, the extra enhancement broke before the night ended. Fair enough. Wasn't going to complain, it happens. Last night, not even a week since I got my full set my index finger broke off and I had to glue it back on with nail glue. I got my nails done March 6, broke by March 12 -- 6 days. The one disappointment was that I took my partner in for his first pedicure ever and just by observing his pedi compared to mine, it was very disappointing. I observed the young girl who finished in half the time of my pedi - his food scrub was 10 seconds and his massage may have been 15 seconds. I was so annoyed this had to be his first experience and he made a comment that for $35 plus tip, he'd rather do something else with his money. I'd definitely request the manager or someone with more experience to do your service. But overall, my pedi was good, I'm unsure if I'll return because it's hard to ask for only one person to work on you - they seem to share work depending on how many clients are there at the time.

When she comes back, I say that if it's an emergency then I can wait for another technician so she can handle whatever she needs. I came across this place out of necessity because the one I usually go do decided to stop running credit cards when there is a credit card terminal in the salon. Now, it isn't posh, but I got a gel mani and regular pedicure and loved it in terms of cleanliness and quality. The ladies were really nice, the polis selection was great... I like the fact that they have the color samples stacked in rows, so you see all of them, as opposed to on a chain attached together and you have to fish through dozens of colors. The place is small and a little aged in terms of the chairs, but all the equipment was clean, all their utensils, carts, boxes were clean, not stained or greasy. Both my mani and pedi turned out great, a week later - like freshly painted color. I liked the sugar foot scrub, that was a nice bonus. I'll definitely be back!! read more

Beware! Under new management. Have been satisfied with past management but yesterday...!!!!! Holy cow! Raised price for mani-pedi by 10 dollars... Massage chair's control was wet and not working so she had me walk across floor to other chair with wet feet... Then I had to tell er three times to fix the botch polish job on my big toe.. She kept caking on more polish. Then it was all bubbly and I asked nicely again to take off the polish and re-do. She painted my cuticles, didn't push them back. I wish I could post a picture of how bad the polish job is! Then she did my mani and didn't bother with the lotion it massage that comes with the price. I went home pretty upset and took it all off, the polish I mean! My little girl had a manicure which she could've done better at home by herself. Will for sure never return! Wasted $52. ;( read more

Come in for the pedicure and manicure deal!! I love the SPA pedicure, the chairs are just wonderful! They have a full massage function that you can play with and use while your feet are getting pampered! The Pedicure comes with a hot towel treatment and scrub massage on your legs and feet. They also offer mini spa pedicures, which include scrubs and salt baths. The place is clean, simple and very easy on the eyes. They also have a lot of magazines, which keep you occupied. read more

I love the ladies who run this place -- they're so sweet, always give you a little cup of tea while your nails are drying ... The staffs are welcoming, friendly and caring. Always fast service and never have to wait too long. They also have super comfortable leather chairs to sit in with pillows and plenty of magazines to read. Surely, I had great and relaxing pedicure. This place is very small but SOOO worth the visit. The whole team was very hospitable with tea and water and great sofa chairs to sit in. My nails were done by Aidan a new addition to the staff and he was great. Very thorough. My mani/pedi was great. 30 dollars total and it was the first time I gave a 5 dollar tip. At no point did Saffron acknowledge the delay, apologize, give me an update, or even ask if I was okay waiting. The water eventually became cold. At that point, I took my feet out, dried them off and decided to leave. Only then did Saffron become communicative, telling me that because my service had been started, I would still be charged. When I said I would discuss the situation with a manager, she informed me that she was a manager. That honestly made the experience even more disappointing. I was paying nearly $150 for a pedicure and was left sitting unattended for roughly 20 minutes without so much as an acknowledgment, yet the immediate concern when I chose to leave was making sure I knew I could still be charged. I understand that employees sometimes need to assist other customers. That isn't the issue. The issue is the complete lack of communication, courtesy and basic hospitality toward a customer whose appointment was actively in progress. For a business positioning itself as a premium nail salon, I expected a significantly better level of service. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
