Despite a packed dining room, the staff delivered a level of attentiveness that felt effortless. Our server had an incredible command of the menu, rattling off a lengthy list of specials from memory with impressive detail. The entire team worked in sync--bringing bread, refilling drinks, offering fresh grated cheese, clearing plates without rushing us, and striking just the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. What really set the evening apart were the personal touches. The matriarch of the restaurant (or at least who I assume was the matriarch) circulated through the dining room making sure guests were enjoying themselves. At one point she proudly announced that the osso buco was ready--a charming moment that felt less like a sales pitch and more like someone sharing something they genuinely loved. Before we left, she gave my wife and daughter sunflowers from her garden, carefully prepared with the leaves removed and stems wrapped in foil. Then she sent us home with fresh zucchini. Along with everything else, these folks have figured out how to make dining personal. It felt less like eating in a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's lovely home--where there is genuine pride and gratitude that you've joined them for dinner. That's a rare feeling today, and Casa Nuova delivers it naturally. And then there's the food. The Oysters Rockefeller were outstanding. The fried mozzarella was exceptional. The Pesce Fra Diavola--with clams, mussels, calamari, and scallops--was perfectly prepared and served in a sauce that complemented rather than overwhelmed the seafood. The veal scallopini was tender, beautifully seasoned, and expertly sauced. Even our daughter's simple pasta dish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Honestly, I'm almost afraid to go back because I don't know how they could possibly do better. Casa Nuova delivered one of the most memorable restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time. My sincere thanks to everyone at Casa Nuova for such a lovely evening. You made my wife, daughter, and me feel genuinely welcome, and we left with full stomachs, smiles on our faces, and an experience we'll remember for a long time.

Service was equally disappointing. The server checked on us only in passing and showed little interest in our experience. When we requested takeout boxes for the food we barely ate, there was no inquiry about why our meals were largely untouched. We both took our leftovers home, though neither of us was enthusiastic about them. The lesson here is simple: online reviews should never outweigh what your eyes, nose, and instincts are telling you. A busy dining room, the smell of smoke, and trusted recommendations are often better indicators than a collection of glowing ratings. As a final note, my friend and I normally pay separately, but I felt responsible for suggesting this restaurant and paid for both meals. "DO NOT ORDER FOOD " from this place. The staff is very nasty and unprofessional, and knows nothing about customer service. You tell them something, and they do the complete opposite. If they get a order wrong, staff gets mad at you because, you want the order corrected. If you get on there bad side , they will spit in your food, talk nasty to you, as if you're bothering them. They come to work with a chip on their shoulder, and should not be working around food .Staff that work here are scum bags and have no people skills. Need to take a lesson on what customer service is all about. You order a salad, or anything, Common Sense would tell you to put utensils in the bag, to have something to eat your food with, these idiots forget them each time i order from them. Terrible ! Terrible! Word of advice Stay Away From This Place!!! Nasty attitudes , followed by Nasty Food, and you're food getting spat on. These people should be reported to the board of health! I have tried many others, but I Love NY Pizza is the best! I love the authenticity of the this place with pizza by the slice. If you like old school pizzerias then this is your spot. it is by no means a "fine dinner". However, that is the charm. You don't wear a tuxedo to a pizza joint. My personal favorites are the NY White and the Pepperoni. Also, their garlic rolls don't just have the smell of heaven... they taste like it too. If Pizza isn't your thing then they also have pasta dishes, Strombolis or Calzones as well. Plus the ownership is courteous, and really places the effort on food quality - rather than ambiance - which as a foodie - isn't that were the emphasis should be? If they had 6 stars they would get my vote. read more
