Tl;dr: omg so good, go get some; try durty mac and cake. I ordered the two meat meals with dinner rolls and chose: brisket, rib, collard greens, mac & cheese. I also got the pistachio mini cake. Brisket was moist and tender. Cooked just right. The plastic fork they give you is more than enough to tear these apart. I almost didn't even use the bbq sauce. Ribs was delicious and smoky, not at all tough. I like the meat on my rib to still have some texture instead of just mush falling off the bone like some places serve it and this place has nice, tender meat on their ribs. Sauces were good. Nothing crazy. The yellow one is a bit too mustard-y(?) for my personal liking. The collard greens exceeded my expectation. I've come to expect and accept the finely chopped up, Glory brand looking, soggy veggie but these were not that at all! These collard greens still have life to them and retained their bite. It's not just mushy, salty green food; it actually tastes and feels like real vegetables! The mac&cheese was AMAZING. It looks like a freakin' Stouffer's commercial (not the actual frozen stuff, but the food porn commercial) and actually tastes like what you'd expect too. It's creamy, thick, cheesy, and decadent. There's bits of cheese that's not all the way melted in to give extra texture and that extra punch of cheesiness in between bite. The mac is cooked well. It's not al dente, but who wants that in a mac n' cheese anyway?! The point is, it's not the stuff that you put a fork through and it becomes macaroni mash that requires a spoon to eat. Next time I might just get the Durty Mac (mac and cheese with meat and sauce). Their dinner rolls were also delicious, salty and buttery, but is a bit dense. Their pistachio mini cake made me do a double take. At the first bite, I actually had to stop chewing to look down at the cake to see if it was drenched in some syrup. It was THAT moist. I came here a few wks ago, I know been busy and forgot to my due diligence and review. This place is bomb. I met the Big Dawg himself and put an order in for the chopped chicken plate with chipotle BBQ sauce with Mac n cheese and greens(they use turkey always a win no pork on my fork). That was pure fire did not disappoint. Also did the kinfolk platter of ribs, chicken, greens and Mac also the dinner rolls.... I ate all of them . The desserts were good too, if you do not have a natural sweet tooth leave it alone . The service was impeccable and second to none. My husband and I went tonight for date night and a pre-Father's Day dinner. The barbecue ribs were delicious. They were well seasoned and could be enjoyed without barbecue sauce which was pleasantly on the side. The greens were ok, but a little bland. Overall the flavor was nice. This place is aight. I had been wanting to try it but due to their limited business hours, it was difficult to coordinate. They advertise $26.50 for "2 meats and 2 sides" however almost everything has an upcharge. Beans and greens were the only sides "included" at that price but cornbread, potato salad, and the mac & cheese had an upcharge. Brisket and rib tips also had an upcharge so instead of $26.50, it actually comes up to $33.50. You don't get a large portion for that price and the potato salad tastes like it came from Albertson's, while the mac & cheese has a bunch of cheese with no flavor. The meats were actually tasty though and the hot links were very good. Overall I just feel as if they are too expensive for basic tasting BBQ. read more

I went to IQ barbecue we ordered and picked up our food and it was not good. It was kind of burnt and dry. We did call in to speak with the manager. She did say the next time we came in we would get our food for free and she a couple of months later we went to get free meal and once we got at home, the ribs were spoiled. I Que BBQ is definitely in my top 3 BBQ restaurants in SD. Really friendly staff and great food. I love the decor and the dreamy display of desserts. Their brisket is my top choice of meat; it is super tender. I also love their pulled pork, pork ribs, and collard greens. The sauces are fantastic, especially the spicy mustard sauce;it is amazing! A few negatives would be that I find their mac and cheese to be too gummy, but the flavor is good. I wouldn't order their chicken wings again. It was really oily when you bit into it. we just had a HEAVENLY meal at I QUE BBQ off of Broadway. We ordered the Mix Meat platter with Ribs and their Dirty Wings, Mac and Cheese and Cornbread. We tried a Dirty Burger, Dirty Chicken Sandwich and they had cute little desserts. My inner fat child saw Banana Pudding (with the Nilla Wafers) and had to snag that too. Best Ribs we've ever had, period. You know how you get BBQ food and it's the same seasoning blend, slap sauce on it across the board? Not this. This was absolutely fantastic. The burger had one flavor profile, the chicken was different and the Ribs were juicy and full of flavor. It was a completely different vibe with each item. Love that. The chicken was so juicy too. You basically build your burger too, it was incredible. The place is small and they're only open Thurs thru Sunday too.
