This new ice cream shop in the Bethel area of Hampton is located in the old Dairy Queen Building. It has a similar menu, with a focus on deserts such as sundaes, cones, milkshakes, etc., but also on hotdogs, naming them after local high schools, locations in the city, and the originals, Chicago, New York, and Detroit-themed hotdogs. Now, this place has all outdoor seating, which makes it a really nice place to visit after dinner to have some ice cream. It is also good for lunch. It works by placing your order at one window and picking it up at the next. They buzz you to let you know when your order is ready. The service is pretty quick, especially with scoop ice cream orders. Hotdogs and other items take a little longer, but Because they are pre-made, it just takes a little bit to serve them up. The food is okay, but the ice cream is fantastic. The price is excellent, the service is good, and the overall experience is good. I recommend going by in the evening, sitting outside, and enjoying some ice cream. The view is not good, for the place is located on Big Bethel Road, but don't let that ruin your time. I'll be back. I was hyped to visit this new establishment. However, was I in for a huge disappointment. My Detroit Hotdog, consisting of chili & cheese, was not good. The hotdog was precooked and a bit cold. I asked for condiments from the young lady. However, a dark-skinned bald man talked over her and said, "It doesn't come with condiments." I was appalled. Nonetheless, I maintained my composure, waited for my food, and proceeded to my car. I paid over $11, however, the food was just so-so. Ambiance/ esthetics: 4/5 Customer service: 4/5 Food quality: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 I'll try to give them another try. This establishment needs to make a lot of adjustments. Service was great. The man at the window was very nice and patient with my kids when they placed their order. Has a very wide selection to choose from. Nice little benches to sit at and eat and the over all feel of the place is wonderful! We just need more people to show up and support local businesses!! read more

I had genuinely had high hopes for this place ... today was my third time coming, however when we arrived at 7:58, because the website says it closes at 9; an employee sweeping turned the lights out once we pulled into a parking spot. I understand being slow and closing based upon volume; but the passive aggressive manor in which this was handled was .. in my opinion unacceptable. I love the business concept of this place, the prices, the location and everything * might even love it more if they open up the drive thru* However in my 3 visits, the staff has been less than welcoming and has left a bad perception of the business. I really hope, there is a turnaround soon because i hate to see this place fail because of the staff. read more

I went here and was excited to try this new black owned spot. Unfortunately they were out of a good number of items . The items I did get the hot dogs were a bbq one and a hot dog with chili and cheese. The bbq one was good the chili and cheese not so much. I also ordered a cookie dough shake and it was ok. These three items cost me $15. I won't be back it wasn't bad just wasn't worth the money. read more

This place opened on the 17th, I waited until the 20th to give them a try. I ordered 2 hot dogs, one cowboys dog add onions, one Atlanta dog minus onions, fries, a bbq sandwich and a large diet pepsi. The service was good, the people working were polite, that was a plus. The issues came when I got my drink, they gave me a small. When I said something, the young man that handed it to me told me that was their large. He basically lied to me, thats not a good thing, why not just fix it? None of the food I ordered was hot..just a little warm at best. The fries were unseasoned as well. For 4.50 a hot dog, the quality has to be on point, it wasnt. The hot dogs were just ok. The bbq sandwich tasted good but was not hot, that was slightly disapointing. For the quality to be at this level and only been in business 2 days is a red flag in my opinion, especially at their price point. Hopefully they figure it out, but for now...i wouldnt pass a 711 for a big bite to buy this places hot dogs. read more

The customer service was great. Wasn't too happy about the hotdogs. Hotdogs was boiled which I prefer grilled. Also hotdogs was not secured and was messy I recommend hotdogs being in a hotdog container not just wrapped in paper it would be a better presentation. My boyfriend's milkshake was watery and whipped cream melting. The fries wasn't fried more like in an oven without seasoning and it wasn't full for the price we paid. Store hours says the store closes at 9pm. Tried to take the family to get some ice cream around 8:30pm and the drive thru was closed with a cone blocking access. Unacceptable. read more

Awful service. Took 15 minutes to get a milk with 8 kids standing around . Then I got the wrong order . They put toffee in my milk shake saying it was Reeses . Manager or whoever was arguing with me saying it's reeses. I tried to get her to taste it but she don't eat chocalate. It was hard. At the end of the day I still got the wrong order. My milk shake was made behind the window while shes trying to literally argue with me. Oh dont toppings . Its a waste of money they literally just sprinkle some over your milk shake . My family and I were so excited to visit this place. We ordered 4 Detroit dogs, 5 fries, a kids hot dog , 4 wild Cherry Pepsi's , a pink lemonade and a chicken Bbq with slaw. Also a chocolate ice cream cone. I scream... you scream... the only thing we screamed for is the money we wasted on this food!!!!!!! We waited 20 minutes for the food... the fries were stale and only room temp as if they were cooked that morning and kept under a heating lamp, the hotdogs were NOT beef... they tasted like poor quality hotdogs that had been boiling all day and left in water and when we got them they had a greenish tint and were cold!!!! Fries cold, hotdogs cold.... Why again did we wait 20 minutes for the food? The chicken bbq tasted like lighter fluid. So we just threw ALL our food away! Almost 70.00 wasted... we did drink the Pepsi's and they were banging. My grandson liked his ice cream a-lot...They carry Hershey's ice cream flavors. Due to the horrible experience with the food we left without trying the ice cream. Another couple was sitting beside us was also disappointed with their food... The same complaints about the hotdogs and fries and they also ordered a funnel cake which he said was chewy like gum. He said it hurt his teeth chewing it. We debated about taking all the food back, but there were only 3 young people running everything, and as you know customer service is NOT what it used to be so we just decided to take the loss and the lesson learned. read more

wonderful service and the time was perfect. my friend and I got complicated hotdogs and the served them out in under 10 minutes. ice cream is delicious and the team is wonderful. the representation of the local high schools is really cool. a little on the pricey side but worth it for what you get. I will be tell all my friends to come here! read more
