Quite possibly one of my new favorite boba spots. I can't comment on the milk tea, creamas and tea drinks but I have tried their mango drinks and they are delicious. Mango Crystal 4/5: mango juice with mango chunks and jelly on the bottom. It was delicious! I love mangoes so this hit my craving! I like how it comes with fresh chunks of mango but the only bad part is that you can suck it up in the straws you have to use a spoon to get it out. Otherwise, fresh and tasty! Mango sago: 4/5: mango juice with sago and ma go chunks! Can you say dessert in boba form? It's extremely filling but delicious! Who knew that sago would make a great topping in a drink. But the same thing as the mango Crystal drink the mango chunks are too big to go through the straws. Definitely need some bigger straws or smaller chunks. Overall, this is a great place to try out! This place took over what used to be Teaway. Every time I pass by here, there's always a line! Finally decided to try it today on a whim. Ordered the C2 which is a Hokkaido milk tea with egg pudding and boba. Overall, pretty good drink. The milk tea was spot on and boba had a little bit of brown sugar taste to it and was a good texture. Wish they added more egg pudding though! This place reminds me of purple kow in terms of their numbering system and the pictures they used for their drinks. This place has pictures with descriptions of popular drinks on top near the ceiling, one menu on the right side of the wall and one menu that is on the workstation glass (both of which are the same), and one menu on the counter next to the register. So make sure you take a look at all of them first before ordering. Otherwise you'll be like my friend who saw a drink that she liked on one menu but then after she ordered saw that there was another drink that she liked on a separate menu that she didn't see prior to ordering! I also love that this place has mango sago!! Now I don't have to go all the way to creations to get my fix. That will definitely be the drink of choice the next time I come here. They have free wifi for customers. They also take card with a minimum of 15 dollars. Otherwise it's a 50 cent charge if you are below the minimum. read more

The mango sago is by far the most popular drink! Everytime I go they sell out! It's a bit frustrating but I always come back hoping they'll have it available. They offer a wide variety of other drinks too besides the mango sago that are pretty tasty. My recommendations are the roasted milk tea with egg pudding boba and taro milk tea which is suppose to use real taro. Not sure if that was the case becauss there wasn't much of a grainy texture to it but still good IMO. They're very accommodating and can also adjust your drinks for sweetness and ice. The order line and wait for drinks can get pretty long on weekends. Be patient and ready to wait 20-30 minutes. They're also open late on weekends, perfect for late night boba runs. Being cash! They charge a debit and credit fee if you don't meet the minimum purchase amount. I think it was a minimum of $15 or $20. Parking can be hectic on weekends. Lots of pedestrians on irving street so be patient if you're going during a weekend lunch rush. read more

Hokkaido milk tea is flavored like caramel so it's a bit sweet already but different from simple syrup. One of my top boba places in the city. I love the wide selection of teas and other drinks that they have. Walking in, it spells like freshly brewed tea. I started going to this location when it first opened and continue to go now. My go-to drinks is B4 Milk Tea with Tofuhua and Red Bean, B6 Matcha Milk Tea with Pudding and Red Bean, or the Signature Fruit Tea. The fruit teas are all super light and refreshing, and the signature one has real fruit slices too. What I love about I-tea is their tea cremas and their b4-tofu hua with red bean milk tea. It's the only boba shop that has this combo and I love it. This I-tea is very small, no sitting area at all and the waiting area for your drink is equally tiny. I found the milk tea to be a bit on the creamy side and a little lacking on the roasted tea flavor, but it was still very refreshing on a hot San Francisco afternoon. I really like i-Tea for their variety and consistency. Every time I come here, I get what I expect: a quality drink that satisfies my cravings. I firmly believe that this is the best boba joint you can go to on Irving as of now. For sure not the biggest boba place, with like five seats in total, but you have all of Irving to walk around with your friends after you get your drink anyways. The wait also isn't too bad either. With places like T-Pumps, you may have to wait for what feels like an eternity to get your drink, but i-Tea doesn't have that problem. The mango sago and panda milk tea are solid choices to try, but I've never been disappointed ordering other drinks as well. I-Tea on Irving is gooooood. I got the milk tea with boba 50 percent ice 50 percent sweet; perfect for me. Just sweet enough, just cold enough. You can tell by the worker girls that they are a real boba place; slightly stressed, highly attentive to drink orders, and you can FEEL they are only about boba. It gets a little crowded sometimes; but they work hard, and get drink orders out at a steady pace. In all, i got respect for these young people delivering on the authentic tea experience. The drink tasted artificially flavored and sweetened, almost like cough syrup. The aloe jelly at the bottom was flavorless. They also filled our cups over the top, so the drink was spilling out onto the counter... was a mess to drink. I've tried a good amount of different drinks off their large menu, but only really like the mango sago (which is usually sold out by mid day). Before they switch hands to different owners or managers the drinks are made with authentic tea and real fruits. Now this place is a no go for me. Came here so many times for great boba drinks without any issues until tonight.... Me and my gf were drinking our boba and within the first sips of our drinks we found small transparent balls of what appeared to be glass in our drinks. We immediately spit it out and asked for new drinks. We got new drinks and went home, and when we got home we ran some experiments to see if there were any of these balls in our new drinks. Turns out both had these glass balls!!! This is totally unacceptable and the fact that others have complained about this too only proves there is some low quality production/distribution of the drinks from I-Tea! Sweet creamy mango goodness with micro-boba pearls that make it that much more fun to drink. iTea's mango sago even has generous servings of mango chunks inside that you can suck up with the boba straw. I've lived in the Philippines for over seventeen years and I have to say -- these are f*cking legit. Mango sago was one of my favorite desserts growing up in the Philippines and these guys nailed it. I-tea is probably one of my go to boba shops because it has a large variety of drinks and is convenient in the sunset district! The mango sago is very popular and often sells out. It's super good and is made with fresh mangos which is always a plus. It is definitely a must try!! My go to drink would have to be the jasmine green milk tea with boba. I always get 80% sweetness and it has the perfect amount of tea flavor but is still sweet. It is probably one of my favorite drinks and I always find myself ordering it again and again when I come. Irving has seen its share of boba shops but i-Tea is definitely one of the better ones! They're most well known for the mango sago drink, which is essentially the dessert in a cup LOL. My go to drink, however, is the jasmine green milk tea. You can really taste the fragrance of the tea and the milk doesn't make it overly sweet either (but I do get it 50% so that might be why). Their fruity green teas also aren't overly sweet, which I appreciate because a lot of places just add a ton of syrup into the cup -_- They're very consistent in making their boba perfectly chewy, and even after a couple hours it doesn't get hard either; I'm not a huge fan of their aloe though, which kind of has a weird aftertaste. The shop is really small with only 2-3 barstools, and it gets very cramped when there's a lot of people waiting to order/get their drinks. Parking on Irving also sucks so be prepared to make a couple circles around the block. You may have to wait a little longer for your drink when there's a long line, but that's to be expected - normally they're super quick about getting drinks out. Though they do take card, there's a $0.50 charge for purchases under $5, so I recommend using cash if you're only buying one drink. With such an extensive menu, there is definitely a drink for everyone here! read more

Been here 2x now, and I've concluded that they make all their drinks here pretty sweet, so do not get more than 30% unless you have a serious sugar tooth. I normally can order like 80% and 100% at sharetea or boba guys for comparison. I think the 100% sugar here would be a 150% on another boba place's scale. Drinks my friends and I have tried: Original pearl black milk tea (30% sweet and 30% ice) - pretty solid. not too overly sweet and not too cold. Boba has good texture, but feel like the drink overall is just average among places I've tried. 3.5/5 Taro milk tea (50% sugar50%ice) - this was too sweet for my taste and not as creamy as I wanted it to be! Had better elsewhere 3/5 Milk tea with grass jelly 100% sweet,no Ice- wayyy too sweet especially with no ice to help dilute. Grass jelly was fine in terms of taste though! 2/5 Honey lemon aloe Vera (100% sweet, 30% ice) - tasted so sweet that my friend literally thought that they had given her lychee instead but we checked the cup and it was right. Scam!!! Now hear me out. I'm a huge i-Tea fan. I've been to i-Teas in Oakland, Walnut Creek, Dublin, Fremont, San Leandro, San Francisco (Kearney St.) and Alameda. I've got completed frequent buyer cards from various locations coming out the yahoo because of my boba drink "addiction"! My go-to drink is their 3G milk tea that, because of the 3 included toppings (grass jelly, egg pudding, and boba), comes standard in a LARGE cup. I buy the 3G tea religiously so why my one star rating? I-tea at Irving St. has been out of large cups for at least a year. Every time I go there and order the 3G milk tea, they tell me they're out of the large cups and ask if I want to accept my 3G milk tea in a standard sized cup. Come on, once, twice, three times but every single time you tell me that you're out of large cups? I don't think it's a supply issue but an owner issue. Don't get me wrong. I will still patronize other i-Tea locations but for the Irving St. location, I'd steer clear of purchasing any large drink and being forced to accept a standard size drink. I love milk tea just as much as the next person so I have pretty high expectations. I-Tea would not be my first choice if Wonderful wasn't taking so long. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of thinking that this place would be any faster. You know it's bad if I'm literally the only customer waiting on a drink and it still takes you 15 minutes to make 2 of the exact same drinks. I order two C1s, the signature black milk tea with NO TOPPINGS at all. You're literally making two of the same drinks so why would it take you that long to make my drinks. My drink was perfectly fine this time, however the last time I was here with my cousins the drinks were completely watered down. I also overheard the workers saying they didn't have a lot of the different teas on their menu. If you have that huge of a selection I'd hope that you ACTUALLY have the items in stock or at least show that certain drinks are unavailable. The next thing that really bothered me was the fact that one of their friends who works there as well, came in on his day off with his friends just to chat with the workers. That's so incredibly unprofessional. I get that you guys are friends and coworkers but for you to hold up the line & make the rest of your customers wait just so you can chit chat is unreasonable. My biggest pet peeve is when workers hold up a line to talk to their friends or work on things like changing the music while there is clearly a line in front of them. Buy any 1 drink get 1 of those regular milk tea free. The regular milk tea tastes like any normal milk tea. I really enjoyed the boba. The boba was pretty soft and chewy. I'm was avid fan of iTea since they replaced Teaway a few years back and their affiliated store Majestea. I don't live near iTea but come halfway across the city 'cause ya girl is a loyal BBT hoe for that good quality tea and chewy boba. 1-2 years ago, their prices went up. Their premium teas are ~$6.50+ now. That's fine though, just keep serving me that good quality shit late hours. Tonight is when reality really hit the fan with how far iTea has really fallen throughout the years. I ordered the classic boba milk tea at 8:50pm. The tea was average (not as good as before but still okay). That's not too terrible but the boba was sooo BAD, it was so obvious it had been sitting out for a few hours...it was disintegrating and tasteless... This is the kind of shitty boba I expect from a no name tea shop in middle America, not San Francisco. I went back into the shop and asked if I could have my boba exchanged and the cashier said that I received the last serving of boba. It's 9pm at this point and iTea closes at 11pm. They stopped making boba 2 hours in advance. They decided that obviously VISUALLY disintegrating old boba was okay to serve to customers, smfh. Not only that, the cashier did not offer another substitute topping so I just dumped the whole drink (the disintegrating boba ruins the tea) and went a couple stores down to Quickly's. I remember when everyone thought Quickly's was basic compared to iTea, well let me tell you, Quickly's boba quality was FAR superior. I am a heartbroken loyal customer (hence, can't bear to give only 1) but there are just so many other places that will offer better tea, better boba, better service, etc. Majestea in Millbrae is still wonderful if you love the unique flavor combinations that iTea offers but I would no longer recommend iTea on Irving. If you like good quality tea, Yi Fang is much better and worth the money (there's a branch not far away in Stonestown). Boba Guys also has good tea with a very limited menu. If you like salted cheese cream topping, make the drive to Happy Lemon. If you want basic boba, go to Quickly's or T4. If you want cheap basic boba, go to Tpumps. The boyfrann and I wanted to stop by a refreshing dessert-y place after a huge hearty dinner, and this was on the way home. The place was pretty packed around 10pm and I'm pretty surprised we were able to snag a parking spot so close to the place, considering a lot of people were coming back from Outsidelands that day. They have a huge variety of drinks to choose from, and they have new stuff coming out, advertising it on the walls and menu! But in the end, we both settled upon choosing a large mango sago with boba. We saw that everyone else was getting it and it loooked soOOOO good! MUST GET. LOVE IT. You can def taste the sweet mango pulp, so you KNOW that they're not all about dat (artificial flavoring) lyfe. BOba is pretty good and chewy too. 10/10 would recommend lmao. If you can, try to finish your sago drink when its still cold! In my opinion, it starts to taste like funny, like warm fruit when it gets all lukewarm-y. downside.. is that you need $15 to use credit card?? whaa? Damn, usually its $5-$10 at asian boba joints. Thank goodness someone finally took care of the Teaway invasion on Irving. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one that thought three stores in a 2 block radius was overkill. But behold, i-Tea! Like most boba fanatics, I was skeptical of this mysterious new shop that seemed to replace Teaway almost overnight. Boba competition is fierce on this side of town and you either crash and burn or blossom into greatness if your drinks are worthy. i-Tea's future is promising! Their menu kind of reminds me of Sharetea (my favorite!), in terms of layout and also some similar drinks, but their selection is much more extensive. I love me some choices! The drinks have adjustable sweetness levels and a huge topping selection that includes white boba, mango pudding, and aloe vera. They even have cutesy stuff like their panda milk tea that comes with black/white boba - ADORABLE. Surprisingly, I've liked every drink I've tried here: 1) Hokkaido milk tea w/ pudding + boba; caramel/toffee flavor 2) Strawberry and mango fruit tea: little chunks of fruit + lychee jelly. This one is pretty sweet so I'd probably get it at 75% next time. 3) Mango Sago: who knew they made this delicious dessert in drink form?! Genius. 4) Fresh Taro Milk: Great fresh taro flavor. Definitely get this at 100% sweetness level for maximum flavor. They've run out of boba here before, so I'm hoping that was a rookie mistake since they're new. Finally, the unnecessary Teaway clone is gone and put into better use! The Sunset has been in dire need of a decent milk tea place: Wonderful is good but the limited tea selections make it less wonderful, Teaway is quite artificial-tasting, and Quickly and Tpumps is reconstituted powder milk tea for high schoolers who don't know better. Disclaimer: I haven't actually been to i-Tea but I've had it brought back twice for me, so this review doesn't take into account ambiance, service, and all those petty things that Yelpers fuss about. I felt compelled to write a review because there's been quite a lot of talk about i-Tea, and I like appearing to be up-to-date on the latest openings. In short, i-Tea is somewhat of a Sharetea knock-off.... Okinawa and Hokkaido milk tea and Kreama sound suspiciously familiar. The menus are generally very similar, with some variety of exotic-ish fruits like kumquat, but thankfully without the Quickly's gamut of all the fruits of the rainbow in artificial syrup form. I do like the expanded selection of teas, like roasted oolong, genmaicha, jade tea, and tieguanyin (鐵觀音). They even have teas that I rarely see at milk tea places, such as chrysanthemum puh-reh (普洱) and alishan (阿里山). Customizable ice and sweetness levels are a plus too because you can pretend to be healthy when devouring a pint of milk tea that is only 30% sweet :D The HOKKAIDO MILK TEA is black tea with boba and pudding (got the boba substituted for grass jelly); the addition of pudding makes this serious milk tea comfort food. I think my go-to is the OOLONG MILK TEA with grass jelly: it's good tea quality and well caffeinated. Per my milk tea deliverer, the alishan tea is decent but a bit diluted, and the fresh taro milk tea is good and features real taro. They have a 豆腐花 tofu dessert) topping which I'll definitely have to try! I must say, i-Tea's branding is not bad--it pulls off cutesy without coming across as tacky (except I still don't know what to think of the name... not sure if i-Tea is Apple fan fare or a pun for 愛 tea.) Behind the smiley bubble logo, i-Tea highlights good quality tea and a broad selection. However the milk tea is a bit creamer-ish-tasting which may bother you if you are particular about fresh milk vs creamer. The verdict: i-Tea has become one of my SF milk tea staples, and I foresee stamp cards being steadily completed. read more

I gave this place a try in the middle of this week when I was getting some noodle soups to go across the street at Guangdong Chinese restaurant. Since it took forever for my order to be ready, I had the time to contemplate if I wanted to get milk tea or nah. I ended up getting a few. It's a tiny spot for sure with like two tables and some chairs. Their drinks selections seem pretty interesting. I had ordered 3 B4 (I think that's the number) Jasmine Milk Tea w/ Boba and 1 C2 the Hokkaido Milk Tea w/ Boba and Pudding (i think?) and all just regular size. When I received my drinks, I was confused about why one of my drinks was in a chubby size, but I didn't say anything. Then when I was home, I realized that chubby drink wasn't my drink! It was a chubby size C9 which was Rice Milk Tea w/ I don't know what kind of toppings was in there...Maybe the chia seeds and something else which was weird. So they messed up one of my drinks :( All drinks were okay. I think Quicklys' Jasmine Milk Tea is tastier than this. But I would come back again to try the Matcha w/ red bean cause that one sounds interesting. So we'll see... Dessert in a cup? Yes please! My go to drink is mango sago and I'm a tapioca lover so I always enjoy adding tapioca to my drinks. It's definitely dessert in a cup with mango sago, real mango pieces and real mango juice. Teas were good but not great. Love that this place uses real teas and the tea flavor is prevalent in all of their drinks. What was very interesting was the pudding drinks with giant blocks of soft pudding which break off with the straw and you can drink up. However, the majority of the pudding stays at the bottom to be spooned out at the end. The boba pearls were super chewy and delicious. The only major downside was that we got 30% sweetness but the drinks were both cloyingly sweet. We got the Hokkaido milk tea and the matcha with red bean and pudding tea. Both had too much sugar. Otherwise, loved the red bean in the matcha drink and the brown sugar flavors in the Hokkaido. Their prices are between $4-5 per drink. read more

I usually come here for the mango sago but apparently mango is out of season from October- January. I tried their other drinks (panda milk tea, fresh taro, wintermelon, and passion fruit green tea) and it was medicore at its best. Bottom line- I would only come here for mango sago.
