Crying, crying, i-Tea is soooooooooo good. It's just a six-minute (late night) drive from the Circus Center, so I have found my go to spot after classes to fuel up on carbs and protein after classes. My friend and I stopped by last night and called in our order, so by the time we arrived, our drinks were already sitting on the counter. I tried the mango sago for the first time, which was DIVIIIIIIIIIIIINE. It's a milky, intense, mango smoothie with little tapioca (not boba) pearls throughout. it is sooo goood!! It is definitely my non-caffeine drink of choice, along with the taro milk. I also recommend B4, the milk tea with dofu hua and red bean. I often sub the red bean for grass jelly. Doesn't get any more cafe life than this, making me a happy happy girl. read more

Bottom line: cheap & large portions Mango sago ($4.95) was way too sweet but loved the fresh mango chunks in it. I usually adjust sweetness to ~25% but they weren't able to alter sweetness for this drink. Rose milk tea w/ boba ($3.85) is one of my favs here. Boba isn't the best consistency I've had but if you're craving boba like I was and you're near i-tea, it'll do. Adjusted sweetness to 30% and it was perfect for me. read more

I am glad at least the cashier let me know that they ran out of large cups for B5 but only has the small cups available for purchase with the same price as the large cup. Had to wait for service because both workers were on break at the same time. Kind of weird to me. The cashier took a smoke break, but didn't think to wash her hands or anything when she came back. I waited to see if she would attempt to do something to clean her hands, but she didn't. I ordered a Rose Milk Tea and my friend ordered a Jasmine milk tea. Both teas tasted like water. It was pretty gross. The boba was extremely soft and had no taste as well. We both had gotten 100% sweetness as well too. I found some sort of black plastic in my drink. I-tea. The name of this restaurant almost implies that this restaurant is the personification of tea. Leaving out the "am" and stating the obvious. We are a tea shop. With a name like that, one could expect phenomenal tea and the compliments to it yes? No. I ordered a roasted milk tea, pretty standard as drinks go. I figure with a standard drink it's hard to go wrong. But the milk tea had little real tea flavor, 80% sweet tasted like 0%. This can generally be excused, you're a busy boba shop and sometimes you get it wrong since you're throwing everything together. But the boba...you make this hours ahead of time. The mango sago was what really drew most of the customers. It's really good and it runs out fast. I've also had one of their milk teas, and was not super impressed. Though the mango sago definitely did make up for it! I recommend coming here earlier in the day as they do run out of the mango sago at certain points of the night. There may be many boba shops on Irving, but I keep finding myself here at I-Tea. Regardless of the day or time that I visit, there is a line out the door. Drinks come out within 5-10minutes. It is a popular location so often enough they run out of drinks (examples include iced milk and mango anything). I have ordered: White Peach Oolong Tea with boba (so refreshing), Signature Iced Milk (love that pudding), Fresh Mango Sago Drink (can mangos be in season year round please??), and Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba. You can customize the ice and sweetness levels of the drinks but I don't bother. The boba is a little on the hard side but still good. There is a credit card limit (I believe it's $10). You can still use your card for an amount under $10, but you have to pay an additional fee. read more

Stop by here after my Saturday workout around 12:45pm, the line wasn't to bad, about 6 people in front of me. It's a very small location, it only have one chair for someone to sit on while waiting for their drinks to be made. Customer service was good. I ordered: B5- 3G Milk Tea with pudding, boba and changed the grass jelly to coffee jelly. I ordered this so I can compare it to Purple Cows milk tea. And honestly taste same as purple kow! Taste very good!! Matcha Latte with tofu. Mango Sago - with standard ice and sweetness. You can definitely taste the freshness of mango!! It's nice that you can choose your own liking for sweetness and how much ice you want. It takes awhile for them to make The drinks, so if you're ok with waiting then come here. They have stamp card where you can get one stamp per drink you order and when you have 9 stamps you get your 10 drink for free . Will come back to try more flavors!! read more

I've been to several i-Tea locations (Kearny, Oakland CT, Alameda) and this location is the only one that constantly sucks. Drink quality and service. Unfortunately, it is also the closest one to where I live.. but I swore to never give them another chance. I've always felt i-Tea has a lot of potential, possibly my go-to for milk tea. I like the creamy texture and different selection of teas for my drink. My favorite is the mango sago. From all other locations I've tried, the manga sago has always been consistent. From taste to amount of mango and sago. I'd say 75% of the time at this i-Tea, the item is either out of stock or the drink is very run down.. Like there would just the juice in 90% of the cup. Last night, i had forgotten that I don't like this location and order 2 mango sagos. One looked alright but the other was obviously run down. Sick of always getting a bad drink for spend $5, I went to the cashier girl to let her know hoping to maybe have her make me a new one. She gave me a BS answer saying the amount of mango is always the same and amount of sago is random. I told her obviously the amount of sago is less than it should be. She said no.. Love this place. One of the boba place around here. Lot of different drinks. But at times the line is very long. People who work there are really over worked at times with the long lines and big orders. One time the person in front of me order 20+ drinks, she was taking forever and keep asking about everything , she didn't even have her orders ready and the was long. There was like 10 people behind me and the women just took her time. Then the guy in the back who makes the drinks just took my order, made the order and had the cashier ring me while the other women was still trying to get her order in. I'm glad Teaway is gone...the owners Teaway were on the verge of a monopoly on this street...though....I'm suspicious because of the awning if it's actually another store owned by teaway. Eh... Not so great. I was looking for parking on Irving to get my boba fix at Wonderfuls when I noticed a huge line where Teaway used to be. Turns out, Itea replaced them but honestly, I don't see the difference. I don't seem to catch what their "quality" tea gig that they're trying to advertise is all about. The buy one get one free promotion was great and all but, I got the wrong order. I know I shouldn't be the one to complain since I didn't say anything but I saw that they had a huge line so I didn't bother (bad decision because that other drink I got was horrible). Regardless, the free drink (passion fruit tea I think?) I received tasted like straight up syrup, WAAY too horribly sweet. So... I don't see the whole "freshness" in their drinks. The other drink, the one I ordered, was some milk tea with tofu and red bean which tasted a bit weird as well... Maybe I picked the wrong items but based on my two drinks, I'm not impressed. The staff was pretty nice though. I would come back here again to try out other flavors and then give my final thoughts on this place. My usual order is the hazelnut milk tea with boba because it is the best place for this flavor, it is tea-y and accurate unlike other places which make hazelnut tastes so artificial. The tea here is great with a large selection of puddings and jellys. They were out of a few jellys when I went though. The C2 I really like, but she thought I said D2 and gave me the wrong order. Itea is better in the east bay. Ordered Taro Milk Tea with tofu hua with 30% ice from this SF location. Taro milk tea did not come with any taro chunks and they filled more than half the cup with ice. Tasted more like taro powder because of that. Very disappointing. All the itea spots in the east bay have lots of taro chunks, plus any other toppings you choose. To top it off, this location doesn't even serve food. All the itea spots in the east bay have food! There are so boba places on irving st but only came here since someone recommended to come here after dinner. They have a lot of choices of drinks to choose from. Decided to get the Mango sago about $4.95. Thought it a little expensive then some boba places. But they do give you a large long kind of cup but can kill it fast if you're a fast drinker. Great boba tea location in San Fransisco! My sister in law recommend it and we noticed a lot of people walking around had this brand in their hands. Funny story, my family was walking around the area after getting some ramen and we were craving boba and didn't know which place to go too. There's literally a boba store in every block. We saw I tea and was ecstatic to find it! We weren't even seeking it out but it appeared right in front of us. So glad we got to try it! The boba is soooo good. Great texture and flavor. The drinks are flavored well. I like the regular milk tea better than the one most people got. Their most popular one is the toffee milk tea (hokaiddo?) it was alright. In this case, they did not have the cream that goes with their cream selection which basically omits a fourth of the menu. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too packed. Although, people wait around inside the store and it's super tiny so it gets a bit stuffy and crowded while waiting for your drink. I ordered the Okinawa milk tea with boba and pudding. I got regular sweetness and it was a tad bit too sweet for me, but it was still good. The boba was okay. It wasn't really chewy and soft. There's a lot of variety on the drink menu and can be a little overwhelming at first because drinks sound really good. There's paper menus in the front so I recommend grabbing one first and then lining back up. Came here a second time because I was in the area. It was a lot better the second time.
