The drinks themselves were delicious based on what I remember, I recall their boba being perfectly chewy and not soggy despite getting there so close to closing. The store interior is not large yet spacious and clean. There is no where to enjoy outside in front of the store. There is a grassy/parking area nearby (2 min walk). From Civic Center Bart it is a 15-20 minute walk, depending on your pace. There is online ordering available as well as self service kiosks in store. Definitely worth a visit and revisit. They were very accommodating with making a smaller size boba drink in two kid-friendly flavors: watermelon slush and fruit tea and packing it all up securely (before store open even!) for on-time delivery to excited middle schoolers. She explained there may have been a mistake with one of the selected options in the app and even acknowledged that she understood if the drink could not be remade, but wanted to ask anyway. The reason for this review is to address the lack of consideration and customer service from the hispanic male staff member working that night. Instead of listening to the concern, the staff was dismissive and rude, repeatedly saying things like "all I do is press these buttons" and "this is what you ordered," without acknowledging the customer's experience or concern about the quality of the drink. Although the drink was eventually remade, the staff did so while visibly frustrated, slamming cabinets and displaying negative energy throughout the interaction. It created an uncomfortable experience, especially considering how polite and understanding the customer had been. Customer service and basic courtesy matter just as much as the product itself. Unfortunately, after witnessing that interaction, I do not plan on returning. Please teach your staff to be polite and understanding.
