Instead I now look like an 80 yr old country lady in a corn field with a 1970's butchered cut by a girl in beauty school. Consultation - 10 15 miutes. very carefully looked at my photos, her photos. Discussed in detail what I absolutely didn't want.Ever. We agreed. Ashley made certain what I wanted. Demonstrated with my hair. Assured enough length in back for ponytail. Instead-scalped. Very ragged half in pieces in back. Length of a fingernail. No one can mistake a half inch to 7 inches. Deliberate and incompetent. half inch scalping starts half way down in back like a man's cut. Minimum 6 mns until it can be made less ugly.Ugly isn't my opinion- its on everyone elses face. 100% did everythng she completely, clearly agreed not to. No miscommunication. She couldn't have butchered it any worse. Lower back-same length as front-lower earlobes. There is no longer in back. All lengths are uneven. thicker. Overall only half in to 3 in. To be fair, I made a mistake and thought my appointment was at 9:30 when it was actually at 9:00. When Cheron called me at 9:10 I immediately apologized and even offered twice to reschedule if that was easier. Instead she just asked for my ETA in an irritated tone and said she'd see me soon. From the minute I got there the whole appointment felt tense. I asked for a simple trim, some face framing pieces, and something low maintenance since I don't spend a lot of time styling my hair. It didn't feel like a difficult request but I felt like my preferences were an inconvenience. Even the shampoo was so rough it was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. The haircut itself turned out nice but what really shocked me was the finish. I paid $150 and expected at least a basic styling. Instead, my hair was blow dried with her fingers... no round brush, no comb, no straightener, no curls. Nothing. I genuinely couldn't believe that was the finished result. I'm happy I ended up with a decent haircut but the overall experience felt uncomfortable from start to finish and nowhere near the level of service I expected.

I was told to have a seat, only to later realize Kelsey had been standing there the entire time and never greeted or introduced herself. About 10 minutes later, she came over and said she was running behind and someone else would wash my hair. Another employee did the wash and that part was fine. However, for my 11:45 AM appointment, Kelsey didn't begin working on my hair until around 1:30 PM after finishing the client before me. When she started flat ironing my hair, I asked what type heat protectant had been used. After that, the appointment went downhill. She asked if I had been to the salon before and implied I didn't understand how silk presses work. I clarified that I was simply asking what brand and type of heat protectant it was, but she never answered and continued working while repeatedly sighing. She burned me with the flat iron a few times and didn't respond when I mentioned it which made me really uncomfortable. When it was time for a trim, I looked in the mirror to see where she was cutting. She snapped at me to keep my head facing forward. I explained that I just wanted to see what was being cut since I hadn't had a trim in a while. She then abruptly turned the chair, sighed, and demanded I tell her exactly how much to cut. Since she had never done my hair before, I told her I preferred her professional opinion but still wanted to see what was being cut. She began talking about how damaged my hair was and suggested cutting several inches off. At that point, given her attitude, I no longer felt comfortable letting her cut my hair and asked for the minimum. The long wait alone wouldn't have stopped me from returning, long waits are common at salons in Atlanta. But the poor attitude and lack of customer service were disappointing. Everyone else in the salon was pleasant, but Kelsey's demeanor made the experience uncomfortable. For the amount people pay for hair services, basic consideration and respect should be expected.
