This was my first visit to LGS - it's located OTP, in a residential area. The salon itself was cozy, clean, and full of natural light. Meena was super personable, passionate at her craft, and was very thorough. I appreciated that she was receptive to my unusual request (my haircut M.O. is literally to get a trim, and debulk my hair by 30-50% to keep the weight manageable when it's up). Well.. it took 4 hours for color an cut .. both looked bad I asked her to make my hair look healthy instead it looked soo thin edges and uneven (it was better before the cut) Asked for fringes and she cut them so short now they look like fringes She became little restless at the end of hour and cut my hair bad.. now I I have wait till my hair grows out and taking so long to cover my ugly looking fringes Color was ok the day I got it .. but it started bleeding every wash(with color protection shampoo) with in 2 weeks of time now there is no red color on my hair it's all lifeless brown AND SHE CHARGED A BOMB read more

I found Lookin' Good Salon on Yelp and Meena had awesome reviews so I gave her a call on a Sunday. I was hoping to get an appointment the same day, as I just wanted to get it over with. My balayage and color were grown out! I didn't want to wait another day to get fixed up :) Meena slotted me in the afternoon and we chatted about what I wanted, which was essentially a balayage and color update with a cut and style. Her salon is so cute, very clean, and comfortable. She is welcoming and warm, sharing a good conversation with me the whole several hours I was there. She gives a very fun and relaxing experience! I originally went in to see Meena (the stylist) for a consultation. She said she could absolutely do what I wanted in the picture, gave me a price, and even offered to do it the same day! I was overjoyed: I'd been dreaming about that hair coloring and cut for several, several months now. I agreed and she set to it bleaching my hair. My hair was super long (about to my lower back) and thick and required extra bleach. She charged me extra for needing more product. Then, she cut my hair to my shoulders -- what I'd explicitly stated I DID. NOT. WANT. She started at the back of my head so I wasn't able to see what she was doing until it was far too late. Plus, if we had cut the hair ahead of the bleaching, it would have spared me money but she would have missed out on a profit. She also charged me extra for the different colors we would have used even though none of them took to my hair. The whole process took several hours and I left completely unsatisfied. When I pointed out that my hair hadn't taken the pink coloring that I wanted, she told me to 'wait a week to see if it would grow on [me]' and, if not, I could reach out to her and we could schedule a follow-up appointment to fix it. I went a few days and decided that I absolutely hated the bleach, without color look and text her immediately. She scheduled the follow up appointment for free - even though her booking stated 'products charges' were not under the umbrella of the free fix. I left her salon/home just a few hours ago and my hair is nowhere near what I wanted. Instead, it's vehemently vibrantly pinkish-red and it's ALL OVER MY HEAD. At today's appointment, she made it sound as if she had not tried to put the pink in at the original appointment, instead letting my hair recover from the massive bleaching done to it. Although she seems to be a very cheery person, I was not impressed with the services I received, especially given the price I paid. If you are the type - like me - who enjoys minimal conversation while getting your hair done to just enjoy the feeling, prepare for lots of conversation. My hair means a lot to me and I trust very little people with it; This experience overall has just further seated that feeling within me. I am thoroughly upset at every bit of the experience.
