Update: After receiving a diagnosis of an evaporator core leak and paying for an evacuation and recharge, I sought a second opinion. Two separate shops physically inspected my vehicle and found no evidence of an evaporator leak and advised against the $1,824 repair. When I requested photo evidence of the leak, the photo provided was not included in my original Tekmetric inspection report and could not be timestamped or tied to my vehicle. I formally requested a partial refund via message and followed up twice with no response. I cannot in good conscience recommend this shop based on my experience. read more

I stopped by the shop last Friday thought maybe I needed Freon I'm going to guess it was the manager, he told me he was going to text me all the information about my car and that he would have to keep it for two days he was wrong. Absolute trash mechanics!!! I brought in my vehicle for an issue with my front end creeking and making noise, they said it was engine mounts and charged me $1300. The very day after I get the car back it was happening even worse and all of a sudden after having the car 6 yrs with 0 problems I had a radiator leak (was leaking everywhere). Of course they took no responsibility and charged me $1100 days later to put a brand new radiator in. The very next day after getting it back the 2nd time all the oil leaked out my car, I was driving nearly a week with no oil and nearly ruined the whole engine because I hadn't realized how bad the leak was. Long overdue review but I've been busy and this business deserves a good review brung my truck in around the last week of February, A/C was blowing warm air and they had the problem narrowed down in little under an hour. Told me what the problem was and me being young and dumb I tried to fix it myself. After not having the correct tools and really not knowing what I'm doing I brung it back the next day, we laughed about it and they had it fixed in under less than 2 hours. After six years of frustration, every major part replaced on my AC system and going to four different mechanics to get my AC fixed (blowing warm air) I finally found someone who was competent and could get the job done correctly. I did a Google search for the best AC car mechanic in St. Petersburg and Eric's garage was one of them. I called on Monday afternoon to make an appointment and was told to bring my car over and they could look at it first thing Tuesday morning. Much to my surprise he called me a few hours later and gave me the diagnosis. Unfortunately, the part that was defective was replaced by another mechanic (but in the same franchise) and the warranty had expired 10 days earlier. Eric went above and beyond to contact the corporate headquarters and they agreed to honor my warranty. Eric listens to your concerns and for the first time in my life, I felt like a valued customer when it came to getting my car repaired. He fixed the issue with a brand new part the very same day and he surpassed my expectations by not charging me for the repair. I cannot say enough good things about Eric and his professionalism, honesty and concerns for his customers. My partner rode with me in the late afternoon (heat index was 103) and he said he had never felt my car blow such cold air since I bought the car in 2010. I have definitely found my new garage!!!! I have the car care club card and needed to schedule an oil change. Scheduling was very easy when I called and Roman was able to squeeze me in for an oil change on a Saturday. I arrived early and Johnny was able to update and correct my info in their system as whoever had initially put me in, totally butchered my name. Thanks, Johnny! So I got my oil changed and windshield wipers replaced in no time. The waiting area is nice, cool and clean. Talked with Johnny for a bit while waiting. Him and Roman just took ownership of this location recently. Not sure how customer service and repairs were before but just by my first visit this past weekend, I will definitely be back for all future auto repair. They seem like an honest, reliable and caring team. I am going off of how Johnny treated everyone that came in through the door and how he interacted with people on the phone. You can tell a lot by how people treat others! I would not take my worst enemies car there. I talked to the manager and wanted to be sure that they had the knowledge on how to work on my classic 1969 Firebird. The issue with the AC was that after about 10 minutes the AC stops blowing from the upper vents. I dropped my car off on July 7th 2020. Picked up car on August 3rd. Nothing was done to fix the problem. But much damage was done. Week one, stopped to check on car 7/14 no one had touched it. Week two, 7/23 dashboard opened up. Still no idea what's wrong with AC. Week three, 7/30 stopped by talked to tech, he stated that he was not sure what is the problem, this thingy ( Vacuum control switch) is bad I think. 7/30 Called them and ask them to put the car back together, that I needed this coming week. Picked up car 8/3/2020. First thing I noticed is the idle is at 1300 RPMs (won't kick down). I leave the shop and travel 6 blocks and run out of gas. Car was dropped off at shop with over quarter of a tank of fuel. Get the car in my garage and open the hood. First thing I see are pieces of vacuum hose laying on top of air cleaner, second thing I see is that the vacuum lines are not hooked up. Walking by the windshield I notice that the A pillars moldings are sticking out. Back in the car I notice that the screws holding the dash are not the correct ones, there are no screws in A pillar moldings (both sides), A cable draped under the dash is hanging down. I open the glove box and its destroyed. Gauges in dash are out of alignment. Three weeks without finding problem. Tried to disassemble parts that did not need to be touched (A Pillars) and then damaged them trying to put back together. Used wrong screws to put back dash together. Shorted out power to the choke on carburetor (reason for high RPMs). Now it is worse the only vent that works is on floor on drivers side. On top of it all is the fact that they not only let the car sit for weeks and then did the damage that they did. They can't even put the car back together correctly. The SOB's were out joying riding and ran the fuel out of it. Bottom line. They had no idea what they were doing and are not trustworthy. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ICE COLD AIR!! read more

The absolute worst business I've ever associated with. I went in due to my ac blowing hot air. I was told it was probably the evaporater and they needed to recharge the ac and add dye to spot any leaks at the cost of $103. They recharge it and tell me to return when it starts blowing hot air again. I come in the next day and without any inspection besides smelling the vents I'm told it was the evaporater which they quote me around $950. On their site they have a coupon for 20% off of any service up to $250, the owner, Roman confirmed that I would be able to use the coupon and to call back once I'm able to bring it in for the repair. The next Monday I phone in and speak to Roman and all of a sudden the price is now $1050 and he spoke to "corporate" and they they will only honor up to $100 dollars off despite no mention of any restrictions besides up to $250 on the website and the owner himself agreeing to accept the coupon less than a week before. At this point I figure it's better to just look around at other options because I don't trust the shop. Fast forward to the next weekend I take it to a very reputable mechanic who informs me that dye was never even put into the system. He shows me with his can of freon and dye that even if the port was cleaned well after dye was inserted it would still leave some lasting residue. So I was charged $103 to recharge my ac for a day that I could have done myself with a can from Walmart, lied to about putting in dye and then lied to about both price and accepting of a coupon on their own website. I would recommend anybody avoid this place at all costs. read more

He checked with the car dealership(!!!!!) where I bought my car to see if what's wrong with my vehicle (needed a new AC condenser since my air was blowing HOT!! - it was miserable), and when it wasn't he took even more off the price. He and his team are fast, knowledgeable, and Ken even offered to take me across the street to WaWa to get something to eat and drink since I had to wait 2 or so hours to get my car fixed. I was referred by Advanced Auto Parts when I went in to have my check engine codes ran. I had the same code for about a month even after having the transmission rebuilt and the fuel line replaced at other auto repair stores. When I went in I was greeted by an enthusiastic James who told me it would be about 10 mins before they could look at it. Five minutes later Roman, the owner, was looking at my car. Within 2 minutes he figured out the issue and ten minutes later I was on my way. He only charged me $20 for the part while other places wanted around $100 just to run the codes. ive used this company 3 times now for some MAJOR services. i was introduced first time using a GROUPON. i own an 03 KIA van. its complicated just getting a tuneup. i priced around. most were in the 700doll. range, or higher. at ICE COLD AIR.with discounts, i was able to get a very satisfactory job done in two trips. i needed the plugs replaced and the 3 coils. i didnt hav enuff money to pay for the complete job all at one time, so i divided it into 2 trips. first the plugs, then the coils. altho i was advised, that wasnt the BEST solution. the van ran rough still aftr i had just one coil & plugs replaced, but i strugled along until the next month,when i got the additional coils replaced.now it goes"ZOOM"!! being a senior on fixed income, thats all i cood do each month. the coils were VERY x-pensive, but i was given some aditional discounts, that helped. thanx to the owner/mgr,mr.WOODS.
