Definitely a pricey scoop but so delicious! I sampled a few of their flavours and they are all true to their name. I ended up going with the double baked apple pie, it was very rich! Scooped by Demetres is a nice little spot to get a dessert at Waterworks food hall. I got the Sassy Mango Lassi, which is was tangy from the yogurt and had a nice mango taste too. The highlight for me was the cone, it was great tasting and didn't get too soggy as I ate (which I've experienced with other cones at other ice cream spots). Scooped by Demetres is located in the lively Waterworks Food Hall at Richmond and Brant. With an offering of 20 different flavors ranging from fancy classics to more unique flavors, the selection is impressive. The server was very helpful in choosing flavours and I ended up getting his favourite flavour after he offered me a sample. The Cajeta Swirled Goat Cheese tasted like a cousin to a caramel cheese cake. Very tasty. The ice cream was smooth and a good consistency. It didn't melt too quickly (although I ordered this in the winter and enjoyed it inside - hard to say what would happen in the heat of summer). You could tell the waffle cone was fresh and it had the perfect crumble when I took a bite. It was also the roundest scoop I've ever seen - like a perfect ball balancing in top of a perfect cone. Visually quite lovely. There were issues with the printer for a receipt and the server worked very hard to try to help me with that and that was appreciated. read more

Located in the Waterworks food hall. This Demetres is very unique with their special flavors and freshly made waffle cones. The staff are very friendly and keen to provide samples to help make the decision on what ice cream to get - so many flavours!!! Our group were pleased with what we got: mango passion fruit; uber ube; biscoff; and cajeta (goat cheese based and it was DELICIOUS). Since it is located in a food hall, it's great to walk around or grab one of the common tables. The staff keep the common area tables and chairs clean; I witnessed several staff cleaning up tables after people left. In the summer, you can sit outside. read more

You can also get your scoop in a cone. At $6 a scoop, though it is on the pricier side, the taste was very rich and decadent! As if I was eating a milk chocolate bar directly! The overall selection of flavours was quite exquisite. I think that there was a lot to choose from but overall product quality was not superb. Some of the products I tried were a little too crunchy little two complex a little too playful. I think we need to keep it a little bit more back to basics with this ice cream also for my cookies and cream ice cream I felt the butter content wasn't too high, therefore making it a little too light and airy. Tastes a little bit taste a little bit like Breyers ice cream. overall I would consider coming again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I think there are other ice cream shops in the area that were our can be even better. Presentation of items were pretty nice. I think that everything is on display and it looks good. My experience at scooped was awesome! I loved my ice cream. It tasted fresh and had some great different textures. I got the Uber Ube ice cream and it was awesome. This place had a lot of different flavours too that were unique like the Ube and the mango lassi. However, their basic flavours like the cookie and cream didn't taste too special. Eately use to have a salted caramel gelato that was my absolute favourite but they discontinued it. Ever since then I've been searching for that similar decadent rich salted caramel flavour.
