Perfect brunch and toddler friendly! The food and cocktails were delicious. For food I got the guava filled French toast. For drinks - an espresso martini and a sandia watermelon smash. Minor but *chef's kiss* touches - they offered eggs on the side with the french toast (I always want a little bit of everything at brunch!), and that you could add Bailey's to the espresso martini (I prefer mine creamy). Another amazing meal at Icebox. First time I have been here for dinner. I always love the vibe of this place, it's as if you are walking into a green house. It's nice to feel like you are sitting outside, even when you are sitting inside on a hot day. The staff is friendly and everyone greets you with "hello" and a smile when you walk in. The menu has a great variety of food for everyone. If you are vegan, a meat a eater, have gluten issues, or any dietary restrictions. They were also very accommodating to modify my meal for my dietary needs. We started out with apps: Tuna tartare and the truffle fries. I can honestly say... these were some of the best fries I have had. I had to order a 2nd round. (YES! That good!) For dinner; I got the Cobb salad. Ok, here is where I modified. For me no chicken, no cheese, no bacon. I replaced it with grilled shrimp and the lemon vignette dressing. The salad was perfect and super yummy! It was a large salad so I had 1/2 left to take home for dinner tomorrow. I have only heard great things about their cakes... well it was time to try. We got the 5 cake sampler. I would like to take a moment to appreciate IceBox Cafe! It's located in Hallandle, and I was very impressed by this restaurants location and great service my family and I experienced on Thursday night! We celebrated my sister's birthday and I must say, that experienced the highest level of customer care ( our party and an egg allergy) and the food was throughly prepared without any eggs just for my sister. I would like to applaud the chef, who really stole the spotlight. To make sure everything was beyond amazing! A huge shoutout to our most patient and caring server, Julyssa. She took her time and was so friendly with the kids, and I really think she needs to be recognized for her meticulous way of bringing the dishes to our table. I must add that this spot has two outdoor seating areas, and their indoor seating is also accompanied by a full seat down bar. If you love that quaint, cozy, relaxed atmosphere with great food and drink, then I highly recommend coming to the IceBox Cafe. What a WONDERFUL hidden gem in Hallandale! This restaurant has a really cool fun ambiance to it that I really love and depending if you go during the day or in the evening, the ambiance really changes and gives you a completely different feeling. The inside of the restaurant is completely surrounded by tall windows that brings in such beautiful light during the day. I love how bright and open and airy the restaurant feels during the day, it's a great spot to sit for lunch or brunch. In the evening, the lights dim low and the ambiance completely changes, giving the entire place such a cute cozy romantic vibe. Depending on the day of the week, they sometimes have musicians playing music in the corner of the restaurant which really adds to the beautiful feeling the restaurant gives off. The food is absolutely delicious to boot! The menu (although a little pricey for the area) has a great variety of interesting menu items which is great if you're looking for something different or new to try. We have never had a bad meal here, everything has been absolutely delicious. My absolute favorite dish so far is the braised short rib that's served with mashed potatoes and rosemary carrots. It's such a simple dish, but it's perfection! The meat is so soft and tender and I've never had carrots as a side dish that tasted this good. Highly recommend! A few other dishes that everyone really enjoyed have been Faroe Island Wasabi Crusted Salmon, the beyond plant based burger (for my vegetarian friends), and the curry chicken. Truly, all have been delicious. For desert they have a wonderful key lime pie we all really loved and their carrot cake as well was absolutely fantastic. The service here is always great as well. You can take your time and enjoy your meal because the servers here aren't rushing you to order, get up and go. They tell you to take your time to look the menu over, they are happy to chat with their guests and make suggestions on the menu and what drinks to try or order which is really great. The food always comes out on time and we have never had any issues with anything we have ordered the 3 or 4 times we have dined here. I went here to a brunch with a large group of women. I was very surprised there's a lovely restaurant in this area. I loved the space, wish there were more free parking. The greenhouse was closed to a private event which was a bummer because its the star of the show to me. I would have loved to see it. Our group sat I the outside patio and it was extremely humid and hot. Not long are sitting a torrential downpour started. I already had my sights on the indoor setting because who wants to get soaked at brunch. Some of our drinks had yet to arrive and the food order was just placed. We made a mad dash to inside only to find that there was no plan in the event a storm came. The restaurant eventually came up with a plan and we were seating indoors. We suggested they use the tables we had outside instead of splitting us up in random seating with the couches. All in all we had a good time. I didn't care for the food and that had more to do with the available options for me. I ordered the Pineapple Tini and it was delicious paired with the Steak and Eggs. We started with apps - buffalo cauliflower for me and tuna tartare for my husband...he had a Corona and I started with a Coke. He thought the tuna tartare was good and I thought the buffalo cauliflower was fantastic! It comes with blue cheese crumbles but ask for a side of ranch dressing...you won't regret it. From the outside terrace to the inside area where it's full of art and a live DJ on weekends. Super picturesque establishment. I ordered the eggs Benedict. Everything we got here was absolutely terrible. The only decent thing were the fries! The menu looked so good and the items listed sounded so appealing but I was definitely fooled. We got salmon tacos, truffle French fries and the cauliflower Buffalo wings to start. I was starving before ordering so I knew I wanted to eat a lot and I was excited, but I was very disappointed. They had a DJ that played a great mix of music. Another plus was the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. The bar makes really good drinks. Came to Icebox for ladies night with my girls on Monday, only to find out that there are no specials for the month of December. We decided to stay for dinner and drinks since the menu was pretty extensive. I got the coco mojito which was tasty, and the short rib ragu pasta. The short rib was cooked perfectly, but the sauce itself lacked flavor. After dinner we were given the dessert menu, which had dessert cocktails and a long list of cakes. We decided to share the "pick 3" dessert option, but a few of the slices we wanted were unavailable. We decided on 3 slices and I was not impressed. The presentation was cute, but the cakes were a little hard, like they had just come out of the fridge. The best part or the restaurant was the green house area. Lots of plants and greenery. 7/3/22 Came here for brunch with some friends. We were greeted by the Hostess, Agnes Wynn. We were shown to our table. I was uncomfortable in my chair and looked around at some empty tables to make a swap. Agnes approached. I thought she would tell me to leave them alone. What a hidden gem this place is! From the huge outdoor terrace to the bright interior with floor to ceiling windows, you feel like you're dining in a lush greenhouse. Food was phenomenal. My friend's ravioli from the special three course menu was amazing, tasted like butter. Also tried a piece of her fish which was really good, but the crispy fingerling potatoes, those were divine! My short rib was cooked to perfection, tender and delicious! The dessert cake we shared was also great, it had real whipped cream, need I say more? Service could have been a bit more attentive and the women's restroom looked like it had been ransacked it was so dirty and messy with paper all over the floor. The food was delicious, and had great flavor! When I walked in I saw the beautiful display case of desserts. I'm sad to say that I was very disappointed spending my Mother's Day at the Icebox. The service was pitiful. Many things that we ordered did not come out correct. Our wait staff never returned to the table to see if we needed anything. In addition, even the drinks were made incorrectly The bloody Mary did not have any bacon like I was supposed to. I don't think I would spend another holiday there as they are not equipped to deal with the crowds of people. Slow service and not attentive at all! What a bummer for a place that used to be one of my favorite hang outs in Hallandale! And , might I suggest next year that you have just one specialty menu and give each mother a simple carnation. Always a great time. Service is phenomenal, prices good and an awesome vibe every time. Live music a few days a week, some Sundays the Dj is a Little wedding-ish but to each their own. We tend to go weekends for brunch and have never had a bad experience. We always sit outside in the greenhouse in Oslys section, he is phenomenal, attentive but not overly intrusive. Food is always fast, fresh and plentiful. Bottomless mimosas are also a great addition and let you sit and take in the ambiance. We came for brunch. I got the lemon ricotta pancake (not worth the $17) and my partner got the eggs Benedict. We also got the bottomless mimosa and Bellinis for $25 (an increase from $20 originally). When we got the bill we noticed we were charged for each drink of the Bellini individually ($12 each). When we spoke to the server she said she had to double check if the drink was included in the bottomless and then came back saying yes they fall in the same umbrella but despite this she ran out card and charged us for each drink individually so it is not in fact "bottomless" like they claim. Never coming to this place again. Overpriced and definitely not bottomless where the server will just spew lies. We finally got around to trying Icebox Cafe (long long long overdue) after so many friends recommended it to us. We got there for happy hour on a Sunday (it's every day 4-6pm). They had fabulous HH deals ($5 drinks and cheap bites). The ambience was also so cool. It's eclectic and funky, but extremely open and airy. We sat in the dining room, but there was also an outdoor "greenhouse" area which was super cute. Our waitress, Stacy, was soooo amazing too. She was kind, attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She made the dining experience so so positive!!! I got the green curry bowl, which was super hearty and delicious. The curry had the perfect amount of flavor and wasn't too spicy. My dad got the chicken parm with pappardelle on side. The sauce was to die for, and the chicken and pasta was good too. My mom got the burger with Parmesan truffle fries. I didn't try the burger but the fries were super delicious and extra crispy. For dessert, we got the carrot cake to share, which was SOOO yummy!! The decor and vibe of this cafe is on point. Very Miami like but in a more laid back area right off of US1 in Hallandale Beach. There's indoor seating, outdoor seating and a green house area with seating. On a hot day I would not recommend the green house area because it was HOT. There were fans circulating but just blowing around the hot air. Luckily we were seated inside by the bar. Our table was cute but the chairs were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Unfortunately the service took a toll on our overall experience. Our waiter was not attentive at all and he didn't add our drinks to our final check, which we nicely reminded him of and he gave us this weird excuse that he thought we were doing unlimited mimosas and bloody marys , which we had one drink each so that didn't make sense. We were being nice by reminding him to charge us for our two drinks and he made it so weird. My mimosa was standard but had lots of OJ. My fiancés bloody mary was too strong vodka wise and had no flavor or heat. I got the Guava-Filled French Toast which was brioche, sweetened cream cheese and guava filling, butterscotch sauce, applewood smoked bacon and a side of 2 eggs. It was really tasty! Sitting in here brought me to the feeling of eating in a glass house. So open and airy... on the wrong day, it will be HOT. Indoor and outdoor seating. Guys the food and happy hour was fantastic sucks it's only 4-6. Smaller portions of course but it was goooood. I did experience my food being cold at one point but it was corrected and I did not ruin my overall impression. Being that this is post pandemic, the server was alone some so a little slow. I'll blame the working class that doesn't want to return to work. Tried the meatballs, they were ok. Not my favorite. Traditional wings where amazing. I love all things truffles and French fries so that was a grand slam for my pallets, lastly the mahi tacos were not my favorite. I little sloppy put together. Everything is definitely instagramable, they take pride in the presentation. Considering the location, it is a bit on the pricier end for both food and drinks. A bloody Mary, although loaded with bacon and veggies, will run you $15 for one. They offer bottomless drinks for $25, for mimosas and bellinis, with a 2 hour limit. My party opted to do brunch cocktails instead. The espresso martini was good, not the best I've had but good. The food was also just good. We weren't blown away, but it was presented nicely and tasted good. The dessert was not our favorite. The coconut cake was basically a cold snowball, which wasn't described that way. Also, the deep dish key lime in the trio tasted like freezer burn, even though they say they make it daily. The carrot cake was the only dessert worth giving a try. The food was also pricey for brunch items, $17 for a bagel with lox, $17 for French toast, really most dishes ranging from $17-25.
