Creating the perfect environment to enjoy a nice meal or drink. The cocktail menu was very impressive! While I didn't have a drink, seeing their cocktail menu was enough to know I had to come back for drinks. Started off with a single shot of espresso and a Cortado. The coffee was good and the custom glass wear it was served in made for an elevated coffee experience. After browsing the menu, the Shakshuka called my name! The perfect bowl of tomato sauce with peppers and onions. The spices were fragrant and created a very balanced dish and of course the eggs were perfectly cooked and runny when you break into them. After a savory breakfast the sweet tooth kicked in. Our server suggested the cheesecake that came with a table side pour of chocolate. The only downside to this dessert was I didn't want to share it lol I would literally come back here just for that cheesecake it was that freaking good. While the food is always tasty, portions are always on the small size and prices a high, so we always end up being hungry when we leave :) but we went for dinner recently and we found it to be a better deal. I've often had the sense that Florida births restaurants started by enthusiastic, but inexperienced entrepreneurs. Restaurants should be more than a place to eat; it should be an experience, a vibe. Thanks to Harrison seems to get that. I had a conversation with the gentleman working at the counter. (I didn't ask if he was the owner...but I had the feeling he was). I commented on how much I liked the music. Relaxing, classic, jazzy. I'm probably not describing it accurately; I just felt like there was a feeling there. He told me they put a lot of thought into using the right music servicer; something where they could create a nice listening and dining experience. In the restroom, I noticed a metal, rectangular holder for your cellphone on top of the large TP dispenser. I've never seen that before; another little thoughtful detail. OK, so there is food too, right?? Yes, and it is great! I had a shrimp and roasted cherry tomato omelette with homemade bread toast and a cup of cappuccino. Excellent, excellent quality and flavor. This was my first dinner in Hollywood after traveling from Toronto. The restaurant had a very nice ambiance, cozy, with great service. I started with the clam chowder and tuna tartare. The chowder was creamy and loaded with clams, plus it came with three large shrimp. For my main course, I had the mushroom risotto, which had a nice variety of mushrooms. The presentation of the food was beautiful, but unfortunately, the flavors didn't match the visuals. The risotto rice was also really hard with random crunch. The brunch menu is pretty unique but there is something for everyone. I ordered the beef patty on a bun with egg, cheddar cheese, pickles and onion. This was a perfect breakfast dish for me, because I prefer a savory morning meal over a sweet one. I also got a cortado with oat milk and vanilla which was delicious. Joined friends for lunch at 1:00. A group of six was seated by a sweet waitress. The ambiance was clean and modern. Beautiful woodwork was throughout including the table tops. Saturday and Sunday lunch starts at 2:00 so we ordered from the brunch menu. I ordered the fennel salad fresh and tasty. My husband ordered the omelette with mushrooms which was fresh and favorable. Our friends also ordered pancakes with berries and avocado toast. Everyone loved their meals. Several coffee drinks available as well as a cocktail menu. The lunch menu also looks very interesting. ETHIOPIAN COFFEE - OH YEAH! I think I just found my favorite cafe in Downtown Hollywood. My number one request as a self-proclaimed coffee shop expert is excellent customer service and this cafe supercedes my expectations. Within the first minute, the barista, Dimitri, was proudly explaining the cafe's Kavka Ethiopian coffee blend. Aside from serving the blend daily from the espresso machine, they offer bags of fresh beans to customers for $20.00. What's better than a Ukrainian refugee founding Kavka coffee? Great coffee with a great story. The wife ordered a Hugo Spritz with a lime garnish which was a visually masterpiece. The medium roast espresso had an amazing scent and strong flavor. While sipping my coffee, my eyes continually gazed at the wall unit filled with cookbooks near the chess board sitting idle on the thick light wood block table. The bathroom was clean with a thin lined modern matte white sink and black cement flooring. So disappointed after really wanting to try this place for a while. I'll start with the minimal good. Food came out in solid time for a busy Saturday morning and as you can tell by the pictures it's very aesthetically pleasing. I also found the pricing to be fair other than being forced to order a whole pot of tea for $7. The food was very disappointing. Other than the Syrnyky all the dishes lack flavor. Very bland, all tasted like something was missing to complete the dish. All dishes were below room temp. The cheese sauce for the burger was very grainy and cold, Parmesan cream on under seasoned hash browns tasted like nothing and the Benedict was what it is, a poached egg with an average hollandaise on a donut with ham. We had horrible service as well, which I understand happened but he was very attentive to the two tables next to us who spoke his language but never even filled our waters once. The server assistant eventually did and he was very nice as was another female server I had to flag down to finally get a check. The salad was replaced, with respect, by a very professional wait staff. Most of them are from Kyiv. Very top-notch, the service was a big star. The shrimp risotto was perfect. Well loaded on shrimp. Perfectly cooked. Fresh ricotta. Saffron. Wow! We sat outside, with our dogs. There's only a couple of outside seating spaces, so not a ton of room for those with pets, but they're welcome. Some of the most comfortable outdoor chairs that I've ever experienced. I drifted inside. The ambience there is very clean and nice. We sent it back, and she wasn't even hungry anymore so they packed it up to go, when she bit into it when she got home it was still rare, which is unacceptable! They also charged us for the burger which I think is tacky, you messed up and cooked it wrong not once but twice - don't charge your customer. But food is truly incredible. The space is very nice. There is outdoor and indoor seating. There was also live music inside during the night I went. The ambiance I think is the best thing about the establishment. My party ordered some small bites, dessert, and some drinks. I think the food was ok overall, but a little over priced for the value. The real reason for the lower rating was the service. I put in for a dessert and cups of water. My friend order their main some time after and that came out before we even got waters. We had to make multiple request for things. Sitting outside, there are speakers playing, we asked if they could lower it a little so that folks could engage in conversation and there was no accommodation. And then at the end of the evening, we were handed the wrong bill with double the cost. It was just a bit of a damper on the evening. This place checked all the boxes. The interior, designed by Harrison, has a beautiful mid-century modern vibe. There's also a large community table, which is perfect if you're planning to work there like I was--it's spacious and comfortable to share. And the food... so good. I had the shrimp salad, which was fresh, filling, and perfectly seasoned. I paired it with a flat white, which was just as impressive. This is definitely a spot I'll return to whenever I'm in town. The parking is street side and has meters. We were very lucky and got a spot across the street. When we arrived we were seated very quickly. More than 1/2 the restaurant was empty but there was an event nearby which closed off Hollywood Blvd and may have accounted for slower traffic in all restaurants one block over. The restaurant was clean and noise was low. They had highchairs but no booster seats. One of the servers very kindly offered a large cushion for our little one to sit in so she could eat at the table with us. We ordered a Green Salad with Fennel, Parmesan, and Oranges & the Chicken Broth with Orecchiette Pasta and Chicken Meatballs to start. Would be a great option for a date night or celebration. All the staff I interacted with were very welcoming, informative, and friendly as well! We ordered plates to share and tried the Duck liver pate with cranberry jam and brioche bun, Carpaccio of fermented salmon with citrus confiture, Beef tartare with stracciatella and truffle, Green risotto with scallops and Parmesan cream, and Octopus with broccoli cream and sun-dried tomatoes. Not to be dramatic but I think that Thanks to Harrison is one of the best things to happen to Downtown Hollywood in a while. The dining experience here is nothing like anything in the area. The food, presentation and flavor, is elevated without being pretentious or gimmicky. The atmosphere is clean and sophisticated, while still feeling homey. And while we dined on a rather slow, rainy evening, our experience with the service was lovely. Our server was attentive without being pushy, made excellent suggestions. And while they were out of one of the specials for the evening, every single bite was delicious. We started with complimentary bread and truffle butter and I am shocked they do not charge for this (please don't, it's so so good!). We ordered the steak tartare which was not only beautiful but tasted incredible. It was rich in flavor and the perfect portion. Next up we had the green risotto with scallops which was perfectly balanced and light. The octopus was cooked wonderfully, not tough at all. I was completely shocked by how much I enjoyed the duck liver pate but would absolutely order it again. The salmon carpaccio was the only dish I was not super impressed with, while it was beautifully presented I did not think it had as unique or exciting of flavor as all of the other dishes and felt like it could have been any smoked salmon dish. This was served with a tasty bread and truffle butter paired with a umeshu gin and tonic. I tried their duck with truffle puree paired with an old fashion. I finished every bite. I've never had Eastern European breakfast food and it was fun to try different brunch items than i would normally find at brunch places. They also offer complimentary champagne on Sunday's which was a nice surprise. The food is beautifully prepared, but light portions. They have a full bar, and the dinner menu looks appetizing so I will have to return for dinner. Thanks To Harrison took over Patty Macs' old location in Hollywood. This spot is an all day restaurant with coffee shop, cocktail bar, and full menu that provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were driving by heading to the new Carrot Express location and saw this spot on the way. It looked so cute so we had to stop by! When we walked in, we were greeted by the staff and seated right away. For a Wednesday, it was actually pretty busy over the course of us being there. We opted to sit on the coffee bar side at a table but there is also spots to sit in the lounge area to eat. I ended up working from here and it was such a great spot! The coffee bar has all types of espresso drinks but, of course, the only thing I thought was missing was a matcha option. We ended up ordering from the brunch part of the menu which was very upscale and fancy looking, with plating that was five stars all on its own. We opted for the two croissant options- croissant with truffle scramble and Morel mushrooms, and the croissant with stracciatella, tomatoes and pesto sauce. The winner between the two was the stracciatella. Refreshing and delicious! The croissant with truffle scramble was good but didn't have as much flavor as I expected it to have. If you're looking for a more light bite, they had a mini pastry case by the espresso bar so you could opt for a pastry and coffee in the lounge. This little space packs a punch with all that it provides in a such a small space but I'm excited to come back to try more stuff on their menu and even work from here! read more

When u enter, u feel transported to the 40's where jukeboxes and poodle skirts were the thing. The interior is immaculate with a long bar and tables along the windows. It was okay but I would request they inquire if you would like it toasted/warm. The coffee was really good but a refill will require you to pay for another cup since it was "drip coffee". I was kinda bummed by it but not a detrimental event to cause me not to return. I'm looking forward to another visit soon to try their full brunch & cocktails. I'm really glad I found a place with unique brunch options like Ukrainian syrniki or asparagus with Parmesan cream and fermented salmon. There is something to suit every taste. And everything is at a moderate price. The coffee is also great, which is pretty rare in non-specialized restaurants.   I also love the concept of fine dining for dinner. I've tried quite a few dishes, and here is the rundown:   Bok Choy salad with duck--nicely cooked meat classicly paired with pear (4/5)   Green risotto with scallops--a complicated combination of herbs plying beautifully with sharp Parmesan (5/5)   Rib Eye with potatoes: tender but too fatty; the rosemary potatoes were amazing (3,5/5)   Duck liver pate with cranberry--the velvety, perfectly smooth texture of the pate just shocked me (5/5)   Octopus with spinach purée--a cooked-well but forgettable dish (3/5)   Duck leg confit with mango (seasonal menu)--the best duck I've had. Not greasy, with caramelized skin and robust meat, it works so well with the sweetness of mango and creamy cauliflower purée. Apparently, they mastered their duck-cooking technique. (5/5)   Basque Cheesecake is the go-viral kind of dessert with a melted chocolate presentation. Luckily, it is not just visually appealing but also great to taste.
