Creating the perfect environment to enjoy a nice meal or drink. The cocktail menu was very impressive! While I didn't have a drink, seeing their cocktail menu was enough to know I had to come back for drinks. Started off with a single shot of espresso and a Cortado. The coffee was good and the custom glass wear it was served in made for an elevated coffee experience. After browsing the menu, the Shakshuka called my name! The perfect bowl of tomato sauce with peppers and onions. The spices were fragrant and created a very balanced dish and of course the eggs were perfectly cooked and runny when you break into them. After a savory breakfast the sweet tooth kicked in. Our server suggested the cheesecake that came with a table side pour of chocolate. The only downside to this dessert was I didn't want to share it lol I would literally come back here just for that cheesecake it was that freaking good. More like Thank You Harrison for this awesome brunch and dinner spot in the heart of Hollywood. The vibes of this place are great and the service is even better. The brunch menu is pretty unique but there is something for everyone. I ordered the beef patty on a bun with egg, cheddar cheese, pickles and onion. This was a perfect breakfast dish for me, because I prefer a savory morning meal over a sweet one. I also got a cortado with oat milk and vanilla which was delicious. Thanks to Harrison seems to get that. I had a conversation with the gentleman working at the counter. (I didn't ask if he was the owner...but I had the feeling he was). I commented on how much I liked the music. Relaxing, classic, jazzy. I'm probably not describing it accurately; I just felt like there was a feeling there. He told me they put a lot of thought into using the right music servicer; something where they could create a nice listening and dining experience. In the restroom, I noticed a metal, rectangular holder for your cellphone on top of the large TP dispenser. I've never seen that before; another little thoughtful detail. OK, so there is food too, right?? Yes, and it is great! I had a shrimp and roasted cherry tomato omelette with homemade bread toast and a cup of cappuccino. Excellent, excellent quality and flavor. This was my first dinner in Hollywood after traveling from Toronto. The restaurant had a very nice ambiance, cozy, with great service. I started with the clam chowder and tuna tartare. The chowder was creamy and loaded with clams, plus it came with three large shrimp. For my main course, I had the mushroom risotto, which had a nice variety of mushrooms. The presentation of the food was beautiful, but unfortunately, the flavors didn't match the visuals. The risotto rice was also really hard with random crunch. Saturday and Sunday lunch starts at 2:00 so we ordered from the brunch menu. I ordered the fennel salad fresh and tasty. My husband ordered the omelette with mushrooms which was fresh and favorable. So disappointed after really wanting to try this place for a while. I'll start with the minimal good. Food came out in solid time for a busy Saturday morning and as you can tell by the pictures it's very aesthetically pleasing. I also found the pricing to be fair other than being forced to order a whole pot of tea for $7. The food was very disappointing. Other than the Syrnyky all the dishes lack flavor. Very bland, all tasted like something was missing to complete the dish. All dishes were below room temp. The cheese sauce for the burger was very grainy and cold, Parmesan cream on under seasoned hash browns tasted like nothing and the Benedict was what it is, a poached egg with an average hollandaise on a donut with ham. We had horrible service as well, which I understand happened but he was very attentive to the two tables next to us who spoke his language but never even filled our waters once. My number one request as a self-proclaimed coffee shop expert is excellent customer service and this cafe supercedes my expectations. Within the first minute, the barista, Dimitri, was proudly explaining the cafe's Kavka Ethiopian coffee blend. Aside from serving the blend daily from the espresso machine, they offer bags of fresh beans to customers for $20.00. What's better than a Ukrainian refugee founding Kavka coffee? Great coffee with a great story. The wife ordered a Hugo Spritz with a lime garnish which was a visually masterpiece. The medium roast espresso had an amazing scent and strong flavor. While sipping my coffee, my eyes continually gazed at the wall unit filled with cookbooks near the chess board sitting idle on the thick light wood block table. The bathroom was clean with a thin lined modern matte white sink and black cement flooring. I visit Miami quite often since my company is based there, and I happened to come across this spot while looking for a place with free Wi-Fi, a calm atmosphere, and great food and coffee so I could get some work done. This place checked all the boxes. The interior, designed by Harrison, has a beautiful mid-century modern vibe. There's also a large community table, which is perfect if you're planning to work there like I was--it's spacious and comfortable to share. And the food... so good. I put in for a dessert and cups of water. My friend order their main some time after and that came out before we even got waters. We had to make multiple request for things. Sitting outside, there are speakers playing, we asked if they could lower it a little so that folks could engage in conversation and there was no accommodation. And then at the end of the evening, we were handed the wrong bill with double the cost. It was just a bit of a damper on the evening. The parking is street side and has meters. We were very lucky and got a spot across the street. When we arrived we were seated very quickly. More than 1/2 the restaurant was empty but there was an event nearby which closed off Hollywood Blvd and may have accounted for slower traffic in all restaurants one block over. One of the servers very kindly offered a large cushion for our little one to sit in so she could eat at the table with us. And while we dined on a rather slow, rainy evening, our experience with the service was lovely. Our server was attentive without being pushy, made excellent suggestions. And while they were out of one of the specials for the evening, every single bite was delicious. We started with complimentary bread and truffle butter and I am shocked they do not charge for this (please don't, it's so so good!). We ordered the steak tartare which was not only beautiful but tasted incredible. It was rich in flavor and the perfect portion. Next up we had the green risotto with scallops which was perfectly balanced and light. The octopus was cooked wonderfully, not tough at all. I was completely shocked by how much I enjoyed the duck liver pate but would absolutely order it again. The salmon carpaccio was the only dish I was not super impressed with, while it was beautifully presented I did not think it had as unique or exciting of flavor as all of the other dishes and felt like it could have been any smoked salmon dish. Thanks To Harrison took over Patty Macs' old location in Hollywood. This spot is an all day restaurant with coffee shop, cocktail bar, and full menu that provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were driving by heading to the new Carrot Express location and saw this spot on the way. It looked so cute so we had to stop by! When we walked in, we were greeted by the staff and seated right away. For a Wednesday, it was actually pretty busy over the course of us being there. We opted to sit on the coffee bar side at a table but there is also spots to sit in the lounge area to eat. I ended up working from here and it was such a great spot! The coffee bar has all types of espresso drinks but, of course, the only thing I thought was missing was a matcha option. We ended up ordering from the brunch part of the menu which was very upscale and fancy looking, with plating that was five stars all on its own. We opted for the two croissant options- croissant with truffle scramble and Morel mushrooms, and the croissant with stracciatella, tomatoes and pesto sauce. The winner between the two was the stracciatella. Refreshing and delicious! The croissant with truffle scramble was good but didn't have as much flavor as I expected it to have. If you're looking for a more light bite, they had a mini pastry case by the espresso bar so you could opt for a pastry and coffee in the lounge. The food overall is just okay. We started our meal with the Prosciutto with pear, Stracciatella, and truffle honey. Unfortunately, the pear didn't pair well with the dish; I believe another fruit would have been a better choice. For our first entrée, we had the Octopus with broccoli cream and sun-dried tomatoes. The octopus was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. However, our experience took a downturn with our second entrée. We ordered the Green Risotto with scallops and Parmesan cream, but instead, we received a green salad. When I informed the waiter that the order was incorrect, he seemed very confused. We asked him to place the order for our original request, the Risotto, and also asked if he wanted to take the salad back to the kitchen. He declined and left the salad on our table. When the check arrived, we noticed we were charged for the salad. We reminded the waiter that we hadn't ordered it and that we had asked if he wanted to take it back. He finally agreed to remove it from the bill but not before telling us that he would have to pay for it out of his pocket. I was in shock! I don't understand how it became our responsibility to pay for the dish when it was the waiter's mistake. This has never happened to me before; all other restaurants I've been to are accommodating and wouldn't charge for a mistake like this. Adding to the disappointment, the overall service was lacking. We ended up having to get the pitcher of water ourselves to refill our cups. I expected much more from this place. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the experience.
