I've been searching for a Chinese buffet for him since we hit the road and I finally found one close to our drop off location. I liked the overall decor of this place, from the statues that greet you to the coin fountain. We came here around 7:30 within a hour and a half of them closing. Now usually that means you'd run into empty trays, or cold food in general.. But not here! We came on a thursday night to a packed parking lot and that's ALWAYS a good sign. The food was hot and the employees did a good job at keeping everything full and clean. I basically tried one of everything and I ate so much that I was disgusted with myself. My hubby ate the fried crab and said it had a funny taste, but I learned a long time ago that crab and buffets isn't for me. All of my food was flavorful but my plantain was bad, it had a mushy texture in the center and the flavor was off, oh but their lo mein which is what I look for the most was my absolute fave! I would go back just to order a to go container of that alone! I wasn't a fan of the sushi, that's the one thing that could've used some more attention and their version of the dynamite roll was just rice and avacado: basic and flavorless. But, I will say that the raw salmon in my salmon roll was fresh so that was a plus. read more

This was the first time in a long time that we have been at an all you can eat Chinese Buffet since New Jersey! They did not disappoint, the place was very clean, the restrooms were clean, the service was fantastic and boy oh boy all that food was so so good!! So glad we took the 30 minute drive to St. Augustine and would definitely come back again and again!!! read more

You'll be hard-pressed to find a buffet this good at such a reasonable price. It's no wonder the place is packed with locals, it's an amazing deal. Food quality is excellent. Sushi is fresh and good variety. Standard Chinese dishes are tasty. They even have a good serve-yourself ice cream (scoop, not from a machine). They have a few things for people who aren't as into ethnic food and for the kids. They also have a buffet to go, and I saw a few of the local construe workers taking advantage of that option. It's not world-class, but a pod buffet and the best food value in town, hands-down. First impression, when walking into this restaurant, is not really good! We almost left! It looks dirty, dingy and has a moldy smell! We decided to give it a chance. The buffet had lots of food choices. Most of the food we tried was good. My husband had a crab and it did not taste right! He described the taste as ammonia. I'm not an expert, but when I googled this, seafood with ammonia smell and/or taste is indicative of it being spoiled, or prepared poorly. Luckily he did not get sick. It is a Chinese buffet, don't expect it to be something else. I would avoid everything but the crawfish, clam, sushi, and dessert. Don't waste your time with other dishes. Other people in my group tried and was disappointed one after another. The crawfish was fresh however, and not salty. The clams were fresh too. The sushi weren't bad either. Hibachi part didn't offer rice, only noodles, cook was pretty rude when I inquired about the rice part and just pointed to the buffet for rice. Food on the buffet was all half empty and we had to ask for it to be filled multiple times throughout our experience. Very good food choices including freshly made sushi. Nice balance of fried and non-fried choices along with fresh fruit and salad. Wait staff very attentive and kept tables and carpet clean between customers. Ice cream freezer needs replacing kind of gross people digging in with only one ice cream scooper and potential for hair etc to fall in onto the open buckets of ice cream...perhaps replace with soft serve. The food was okay. It's reminiscent of a buffet time hasn't forgotten yet combined with one that time is still trying to remember. Service was excellent despite their soda machine running out of juice prior to our first order, which is understanding when one gages the average BMI of the place. They surprisingly had baked crab, which my wife reports as "best of the availabilities", and a nice assortment of sushi. Food is subpar but cleanliness needs a lot of work. Spoons by the ice cream are just bunched up together so anyone can touch the part of the spoon that actually goes in your mouth. This buffet has some of the best Asian buffet food in Florida and all you can eat wide variety of sushi. This buffet never disappoints and is always open on the holidays. We hardly see family on the holidays and this has been our go to place to eat Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. It is great to bring visiting family and friends for an easy and affordable meal instead of cooking at home. My favorite food in the buffet is the sushi. This is a very typical Asian buffet. Some restaurants of this type veer into questionable quality, but here I enjoyed everything I ate. Of course, since it is buffet it's not the quality you would get when ordering a specific meal, but the variety makes it worth it. Had around 10ish sushi options, all good, as well as many Chinese dishes and the other normal stuff you would expect. Crabs legs here are a joke!!!! Came here for the simple fact that they had crab legs...however, they hardly refill the thing and you are constantly waiting on them. The food is decent.. they didn't refill the sushi so much which was disappointing. The hibachi is good. I really liked the fresh fruit. The people that work here are AWFUL though. The guy cooking the hibachi snatched my plate out of my hand - didn't say anything at all to me. When we went to go pay at the front, the lady didn't say anything to us. We came here for the seafood and oyster buffet. They brought about a dozen oysters out after myself and another customer repeatedly asked if they had any. Stopped by Ichiban Buffet for dinner while visiting St. Augustine. One of the few Asian restaurants in town. They have a variety of foods to select from. The foods were a bit on the salty side but well flavored. Sushi was freshly made. Some seafood options. They also had a hibachi grill, but we didn't eat anything from there. Servers were polite and wore masks. The restaurant was a bit outdated and could use some upgrades. Overall, the price and quality of the food were perfect, and I recommend this restaurant. read more

was excited to try this Chinese buffet because of all the good reviews I have been reading on here. Well, we should've walked out of there as soon as we stepped in because the water fountain they have was extremely smelly and had garbage in it. The inside of the restaurant smelled like dirty carpet. At least the food did look good when we got in the restaurant but as soon as we sat down with our Plates ( 4 sitting people) All our food was barely warm. I always look forward to the Wonton soup but their Wonton were so chewy, I have no idea how long they have been serving the same wontons.... Big disappointment. We even informed her server that the food was cold. They apologized and gave us a little discount.
