From when we entered to when we left, we were given excellent service from the staff here. We came here for lunch with a group of 8. Most of the group went half and half for boba and drinks. The drinks came out fairly quick. Can't tell if it's a powdered fruit tea, but I enjoyed it. The boba wasn't freshly made, but not a big deal. I noticed the combo (special drink + bao bun) was available so went with that and the Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen. The bone broth is made of chicken and pork. The portions are massive and the bao bun was also pretty large. I was not able to finish all of my food. Food was amazing. I asked for chili oil and it had a smokiness, and still put out some spice. Richard was great, and was helpful answering questions. He mentioned this opened up last October, and I'm surprised it's not busier. If I'm in this area again, I'll make sure to stop by. read more

The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and very accessible. The service, including the cute kitty robot, was great. But...the food was just okay. We tried a pork bao bun, crab rangoons, miso soup, chicken donburi, and shrimp fried ramen. Everything came to the table almost too quickly and was salty but otherwise lacking in flavor. Decided to check Takumi out for lunch. Was greeted and seated promptly. Restaurant was clean and trendy. Wide variety menu with pictures and detailed descriptions for their signature dishes. Waiter was kind and prompt, offering suggestions for first time guest. I chose the Katsu Chicken Ramen and my wife chose the Beef Fried Rice. Katsu chicken was thin chicken cutlet breaded with panko and served with a mild katsu sauce. Panko crust was crispy with a moist chicken cutlet inside. Sauce was a traditional katsu! Excellent! The ramen was in a bone broth with marinated egg, seaweed, corn and Bambi shoots. Noodles were cooked perfectly! Bone broth was warm and savory. I could have eaten the marinated egg all by itself. All together it was VERY good! My wife's beef fried rice was savory fried rice with small chucks of grilled beef. Only suggestion was the beef was a little overcooked but still good! Service was wonderful! They even let my granddaughter pet the service robot! She got a tickle when it talked to her. Moderately price, $80 for 4 adults and 1 child's meal. No complaints there. I've dined here several times and I definitely enjoy the ramen here. The staff is nice and they try to be helpful with any questions you have. I'm sure I eat here again. The octopus balls are tasty, but mine weren't cooked all the way through and the fruit boba isn't made with fresh fruit but syrups. That's why 4 instead of 5. read more

I adore this place!! The food is awesome, they have a unique variety of drinks, the restaurant itself gives off cafe vibes, and although the staff has trouble with English at times they are very nice! And (the best part) it's the same price as alll of the other restaurants in the area read more

So I'm going to start off with saying that I work in the service industry. The server was great! Super sweet and very quick. The meal came and the food was very good. I ordered a boa bun for the first time and it was so delicious! Here comes the kicker... while we were eating an additional boa bun was delivered to our table. I had told the waitress that we had already received the one I ordered because I wanted to be honest. A couple minutes later after I had already touched the bun another waitress came to pick it up off the table and said it was for another table!! At this point the $3.50 appetizer was already on the table. Instead of just cutting the $3.50 loss they picked it up off our table. To say I was left speechless is an understatement! Dining out is a luxury right now and I thought the restaurants actions were petty. Let's just say we won't be returning and giving them anymore of our hard earned money! read more

The restaurant is clean, has a welcoming atmosphere, and wait times are minimal on busy days. Once seated, service is prompt and courteous. Really really good! I had the Tokyo Tonkatsu Ramen which was delicious with one exception. The star of that show is the pork belly which was extremely overcooked and almost tough...which is exactly the opposite of what pork belly is supposed to be. The rest of the ramen was extremely tasty but because of the pork belly I had to give them a 4 star rating. It's the second time I've eaten here and would highly recommend that if you like Japanese cuisine at all you give Takumi a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

The food was amazing but the star of the show was Cody our server. Without exaggeration Cody was the best server i have ever had anywhere. I have had meals at 4 times the price that didn't weren't served as well. It was our first visit, we are from Tuscaloosa, and Cody not only took the time to walk us through the nearly every item in the menu but was able to describe flavors and textures in a way we could understand a cuisine that we had never tried before and the recommendations were spot on. read more

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Our server Cody was exceptional. I have never had a better server. He was so knowledgeable and helpful with explaining the menu and different options. We never had to ask for anything. His recommendations were always spot on. The food was out of this world! My husband had the Pork Ramen bowel & I had the hibachi salmon. Both were delicious. The Miso soup was the best I've ever had. I don't even know how to explain the pork bun, but you have to try it!! We live about 2 1/2 hours away, but we'll definitely be back. There's nothing better than Cody, the food, & the authentic, beautiful ambiance! There are too many wonderful things about this place & Cody to mention here. You really should experience Takumi Ramen & all it has to offer for yourself. read more

We were so excited for Takumi to open and are so glad we were able to experience opening day. Im sure it was a hectic day for them but everything was great. Our food was perfect! We loved the Shrimp Fried Ramen and Pork Katsu Ramen! We started with the Pork Fried Dumplings and they were so good! The dumpling sauce is truly out of this world, we could drink it. Everything was amazing. Our server was very nice and the owner was super responsive. Great service! The cherry on top is the restaurant itself. It is absolutely beautiful inside, a nice open kitchen, and a cute little robot that brings food to the table. 10/10 would definitely recommend! read more
