When we came inside nobody said welcome or nothing just kept talking on the phone. When We sat down the seats was dirty. Wow, what a place!! went here with my soccer team on a Saturday afternoon, after one of our practices. food was magnificent. went with the classic general tos chicken and rice as my starter platter. within seconds of returning to my seat I began gorging myself. I found myself wanting seconds before I was even finished. but I had to try something else. I turned to the sushi bar were they have an assortment of rolls to chose from. I cant believe my eyes!! I grab 5 or 6 California rolls and joyfully return to my seat. this has made me even more happy. I bite into my first roll while conversating with friends. what a surprise. this is not a California roll. it appears I had grab 6 Philadelphia rolls. this turns me off. I must now fulfill my urge of hunger. I go back to grab some lo mien and crab ragoons. but they were all out. man my luck is shifting, I grab seconds of my first course but still eager to try more. my friends start to finish up so now I am feeling rushed. I quickly scarf down my plate and sprint to the dessert bar. I was in the mood for some brownie but considering they looked the equivalent of a hockey puck I went with the classic cone and vanilla ice cream. we get out to the car and that's when it hits. my insides twist and declare civil war on one another. my anus puckers and I quickly file everyone into the car. Another individual inquired about the absence of tofu despite the huge selection of dishes. I also love tofu. Also conspicuous in its absence is egg foo young. The staff is lackluster and glum. My server spent her time talking with a co-worker, preparing set-ups, and eating. She lagged in clearing used plates and did not check the status of my beverage or offer a refill. This is my wife's and I favorite buffet. The reason it is 4 and not 5 stars is they spice all the seafood the same. Also they have added imitation crab to several dishes such as the coconut shrimp has become coconut shrimp and crab and the scallops now have imitation crab mixed in with the scallops. read more

This is our family's go to place for Chinese buffet. We are sushi lovers and Ichiban has, without a doubt, the best sushi I've ever seen at a buffet. Lots of the usual sushi fare, plus lots of newer, fancier sushi that make for a delightful sushi experience. The salad bar is nice and large, the hot dishes are pretty typical buffet fare. Everything from classic chinese food to American staples like meatloaf and mashed potatoes. But the crown jewel is probably the dessert buffet. I've been there many times for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. I love their selection and they are always adding more. There hibachi grill is great, and they have sushi rolls a lot of buffets don't serve. There's even a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and strawberries to dip. If I could give it negative stars I would. My husband got two pieces of sweet and sour chicken. There was a special surprise a COCKROACH!! There was an employee there. We alerted her. She argued with us that we must be confused. We left our plates headed to the cash register. And the employee asked why we weren't taking our plates we said we're not eating here. There's roaches in your food. We proceeded to the cashier. She argued with us too. Stating the exterminator was just there. My suggestion..get a new exterminator. I've never experienced worse customer service. The staff here is extremely rude and impatient. My fiance and I came here tonight to eat and ended up walking out after 15 minutes. When we paid, we were told to stand the side of the desk to wait to be seated. A waitress approached us and I smiled and said "hi, we have 2 people" and she responded by saying "give me your receipt". My fiance handed her our receipt and she turned around and started to walk away saying nothing else. We followed her to our seat and asked if we could be seated somewhere else because there was a large party next to our booth that was encroaching on our space. She said there were no other open tables, but I could clearly see several, and we reluctantly agreed to stay in that booth. My fiance and I both went to get our plates and came back to our table and could barely get into our seats trying to navigate around the crowd of people from the party, that were standing around our booth. We sat and tried to eat our food while the group of people took pictures backed up to our table, banged into our table and at multiple times were actually standing so close their butts were in our booth and on our table. We asked our drink server multiple times to either move us to a different table or do something about the situation and received no help. I finally went to the front desk and asked the cashier if we could be refunded because we wanted to leave, after eating not even a full plate each and was told no they could not refund us. We explained the situation in detail to the man David at the register and he said over and over again that there was nothing he could do about it. As far as the food, what we did manage to eat was okay. Everything seemed pretty fresh and kept fairly warm. The stuffed scallops were delicious, although I only tried one because I wasn't even able to go up for more due to the seating situation. All in all, I don't plan to ever return to that buffet. Up until this experience, my fiance and I were regulars here but seeing the way the staff treats their customers changed that. If the seating situation would have been handled differently and our business appreciated, I would have definitely returned, but clearly they do not value your loyal customers. read more

I would have given them four stars (really three and a half but Yelp only does whole stars) but the last two times we were there my party was given our checks before we'd finished our meals! This is pretty rude, especially since I know that that's not something you do in Chinese culture (even though this buffet has a Japanese name it's Chinese-run and like 25% is Chinese food, we had two Chinese-American friends with us who told us giving a check before the meal is finished is rude in Chinese culture), so I'm giving this place just two stars now. Why not just one? Horrible...the management worries more of the money that they are making than having a clean place and good food...no one over there cares if people eat good food or don't eat it, doesn't make a difference as long as the money keeps coming in...the food area is not cleaned on regular basis, food is recycled for all the animals to graze on but hardly clean....when you ask any workers for anything, they nod their head, as they don't speak English. However, most display their courtesy and are kind enough to ask throughout your meal if you need a refill on your drink. I was astounded by the tidiness of this restaurant considering its large space, which means it could take some time to clear the tables and floor. Overall, the service is acceptable and almost every waitress I've had, deserved a large tip. The immaculate atmosphere releases homely feelings of serenity. I would rank this restaurant four out of five "fishes". I believe that the majority of the people who have taken the time to visit this buffet and explore the seafood and Asian food, have enjoyed and appreciated not only the food but also the environment. The price is reasonable because it costs $12.99 for adults and $7.99 for kids and it is worth it for the food you receive. I would not give Ichiban Seafood Buffet five out of five "fishes" because the food is not the best I have ever tasted although it is appetizing.
