First time. Wanted a variety of food, and this was the choice for me and a few bowlers. The food is pretty tasty. It's not exceptionally good but not bad at all. The waitress was on point and kept us filled with beverages. If in the area. I can see us visiting again.

The place is not the best but decent for the area. It's hidden behind the Target on Baltimore Pike and in what used to be Old Country Buffet. It's got your typical Chinese/Japanese food with some American food, like mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, corn, etc. Fruit, some salad items and desserts are up for grabs as well. They have a variety of sushi but they're usually the cold type. There's a very small hibachi where you can select what you want on your plate & hand to the chef to cook with the sauce of your choice. They'll cook it in front of you because... hibachi. Since it's in the old Old Country Buffet location... it also looks like one. The furniture and carpet are outdated. There are a lot of stains on them. There is some food filth in the serving areas such as crumbs and grease stains from previous customers. Ironically enough, the buffet area looks great and clean. Customer service is not so bad - the waiters try to attend to you but they don't check on you too much. I might come back if I'm in a hurry and feel like having a buffet-style meal, but that's probably not going to be often for this place. Hopefully this place would improve - I definitely see a lot of potential. #DeafPOV disclaimer: I'm Deaf and use ASL & not spoken English so with all of my reviews, I will include how the restaurant treated me as a Deaf person. My family and I walked in and I typed how old my children were and asked for the total cost of the buffet. The person at the register gave me an itemized receipt and let me pay. Once at the table, the same person tried to speak to me but I didn't understand them. I typed on my phone again, asking them what they said. They still spoke again and I could catch a few words on their lips - they were asking what beverage my husband wanted (he was the only one who didn't get water) and I typed his answer on my phone. They spoke, "Ok" and turned around to get it. During the rest of the meal, no waiters that came to our table spoke to us; they only used hand gestures, which was great.

The menu said automatic 15% gratuity added to the bill. No problem. The bill came and it said 18%. When I questioned them, they responded it's 15% for more than 6 people. I said well it's 6 of us AND your menu does not state that. So they said for parties of 6 or more they charge 18% gratuity. It's not stated anywhere in there. My husband was insistent on visiting this restaurant again, so I treated him to dinner tonight…read more What a disappointment!! I ordered a seafood boil bag(No Spice, Garlic Butter). We typically eat at the restaurant but this evening we ordered takeout because we both had a long week. Once we got home I opened up the boil bag and immediately noticed the sauce was red. I then tasted a shrimp and a mussel, and was immediately irritated because the seafood and vegetables were spicy. I called the Restaurant right away and spoke to a gentleman and informed him what happened. He stated "I'm sorry, it looks like the chef made a mistake. I'll talk to him". I said what can you do for this huge mistake because my husband cannot eat spicy food. The gentleman stated he needed talk to the owner. The owner told him to have us bring the food back. I was furious. I told the gentleman we live on the other side of town, his store closes in 1/2 hour and it will take us over an hour to get there. My husband then took the phone from me and asked the gentleman to put the owner on the phone. The owner asked us if we could bring the food back tomorrow. My husband then said "lady are you kidding me?" "Is there some type of credit you can put on our account." The thing is my husband and I we were not asking for a refund. She didn't even want to offer a $5 or $10 credit or any resolve for this mistake w/o us using a lot of out gas to fix something that should've been correct in the first place. My husband explained to her as a store owner you have to do the right thing & make it right! We shared with her how we haven't been at her restaurant in a while and we drove to her store this evening for a meal. None of this meant nothing to the store owner. The customer service we received this evening was piss poor. My husband advised the owner and the gentleman we will no longer be returning to this restaurant. The sad part about this, was when we were waiting for our food I had just said to my husband, wouldn't it be nice to have a party here at this establishment and invite our close friends. They have no idea how much money they just lost out on. We go to different restaurants & we give reviews good or bad, mostly good. We are professionals who exude, phenomenal customer service. We are the ones who will call the manager over at the end of a meal and praise a server or a good customer service person that served us well and one who exceeds super professionally. This did not happen tonight. If you do go to this establishment, please check your food before you leave if you're doing takeout!!!! This owner lacks a sense of empathy and concern if orders are made incorrectly. We will not be visiting this restaurant again and what a shame because my husband really loves the fried. Flounder it is absolutely delicious.

Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.

visited this restaurant on a Saturday for lunch and was informed upon arrival that there is a…read more2-hour limit for dine-in, which is something to keep in mind, especially for larger groups. The restaurant itself makes a great first impression--it is very clean, well-maintained, and has plenty of parking available outside, which made it convenient for our party. The dining area is spacious with lots of seating, and they also offer private rooms that are ideal for large gatherings or special occasions. We had a group of about 20 people, and overall, the service was quite good considering our size. The servers were attentive, accommodating, and fairly quick in clearing plates and assisting when needed. It didn't feel like we were being neglected, which can sometimes happen with bigger parties. The highlight of this place is definitely the buffet. There is a wide and impressive selection, especially when it comes to seafood. They offer crab legs, whole lobsters, lobster claws, oysters, crabs, shrimp, and more. For seafood lovers, this is a big plus. The sushi selection is also extensive, and the fish tasted fresh without any strong or fishy odor, which speaks to the quality. In addition, they have a carving station, a variety of dim sum, and a good selection of soups, giving guests plenty of options to choose from. That said, there are a few downsides. The dessert section is quite limited compared to the rest of the buffet. There are not many options beyond basic ice cream and fruits, which felt a bit underwhelming considering how extensive everything else is. Another issue we noticed was that the restaurant only provides one crab cracker per table. For a large group like ours, this was inconvenient and honestly not very sanitary, as multiple people had to share the same tool while eating seafood. I also took the time to check the restrooms, and they were clean, which is always a good sign. However, I did witness a concerning situation where a staff member left the restroom without washing his hands. That was disappointing and raises concerns about hygiene standards. As a restaurant worker, maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation practices is extremely important. Overall, the food quality and variety are excellent, and the experience was enjoyable for the most part. The restaurant has a lot of potential and does many things well, but there are a few areas--particularly hygiene practices, dessert variety, and small details like providing enough utensils--that could be improved to make the experience even better.

The variety is great and everything we tried tasted fresh and well made. Nothing felt like it had been sitting too long and the staff was constantly maintaining the stations. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and very attentive without being overbearing. The staff working the buffet line were also all really nice and genuinely seemed happy to be there which makes such a difference. Food wise there were a lot of standouts. The chargrilled steak had a really nice flavor and the prime rib was super tender and juicy. The pastas were cooked perfectly and the sauces were light, bright, and flavorful instead of heavy. The mac and cheese is an absolute must. They use big shell noodles with a creamy cheese sauce and toasted breadcrumbs on top which gives it great texture. The collard greens were surprisingly one of our favorite things and we went back for seconds. So much flavor. The spiced shrimp is a hidden gem and definitely something we grabbed multiple times. The pizza was also surprisingly good. We tried the mushroom and spinach and it honestly tasted like something you would get from a really solid pizza spot not a buffet. The only thing I would say is the chicken parm is hit or miss depending on how fresh it is. If it has been sitting it can get a little soggy so I would try to grab it when a fresh tray comes out. Pro tip leave room for dessert. The dessert section is incredible. The gelato was rich and creamy especially the chocolate. The croissant cinnamon roll hybrid was flaky on the outside with a soft gooey center and the cookies and cream cheesecake was rich without being too heavy. I also really liked how the seating is set up. You can sit on either side of the buffet and choose between booths or tables which makes it feel a little less chaotic. This is definitely a spot we will keep coming back to when we are at Borgata.
