I will say the cucumber salad was probably premade from a little while ago as they were very soaked in the seasoning, but still crunchy and had good flavor. I find Ichiddo Ramens to be mid, personally and if this were just me I'd say three stars. But my teen was with and he LOVED it, so adding a star. I had the fried chicken one and he had the kimchi one. The fried chicken was good but the stock was just okay. Everything else in it was very bland. Just OK. Yes, I'm aware that I took a risk ordering a non-ramen item at a ramen shop. Then again it is also a ramen shop in a food court of a mall -- not just any mall, of course, but the Mall of America. I had some hope! There was even a photo of the item I ordered from a while back that looked much better, must have been pre-Covid or something. Anyway, I got the char siu donburi (hand-sliced Char Siu pork, Japanese mayo, chef special sauce, green onion, rice seasoning nori, white onion over white rice) which I would say was 50% rice and you couldn't see the pork underneath all that mayo and sauce. Japanese mayo (a.k.a. Kewpie) is already very rich. Really wish the ratio of pork to rice was higher, wonder if I could have added a seasoned egg just for the heck of it. I know I ordered the "Char siu donburi" and not the "Shredded Char siu donburi" but to be honest I think they might have used the shredded char siu in my bowl; those definitely weren't sliced like I expect to see in the ramen bowls. Also got a Taro Milk Tea with Lychee Jelly which was OK. I at least didn't want to also take a gamble on chewy boba. Not sure if their milk teas are made with powder or real tea either. I know there were other opportunities at MOA to get boba/bubble tea such as UniUni or Chatime but such is Midwest life. read more

Fast food ramen. Received our food in 10 minutes. And the food totally reflected it. Ramen was hard. The soup flavor was the only thing that was saving it. Edamame and calamari were just ok. The Ramen here is great! With it being at the mall of America it can be very busy depending on when you go. If you're pretty introverted like me going before busy times or after prime time with loud noises and fmailes makes enjoying your meal a big difference in my opinion. When not so busy the food here comes out super fast, it's always delicious, and the people there are nice but quick to move ya along to the next person which is fine for me because im ready to eat haha. Got the Char Siu ramen. It was average at best. The broth was the best part and it was hot. The actual ramen noodles were a little too chewy and the pork belly was tough. I think had it been braised a little longer it would have been better. I also order the char Siu appetizer. I thought it would be served warm, but missed that it is served cold. The ramen was disappointing. I got vegetable broth with kimchi and beef for one soup and with crispy chicken for another soup. Both lacked flavour and broth was cold. Maybe it was cold because it was vegetable broth and they don't use it as much but either way 30 bucks for disappointing lunch. That we didn't even finish. Kimchi had nice kick but there was no other flavours . Crispy chicken was ok , thinner than napkins mostly breading. Won't be getting it again. Food was decent, but the employees here were rude in my opinion. My wife asked for a cup with ice, so we can cool off the plain ramen we ordered for our 5 yr old son and the server said no. I also asked for additional napkins and the girl at the register through a packet of tissues at me that had 1 tissue left. All my family wanted was additional napkins and ice and didn't receive either. Tissue paper isn't going to help me wipe up messes. The takoyaki balls were good it had a couple of small octopus pieces in each of them. They were crispy and creamy and mildy tasting. The beef Danbury was good too with and average taste; nothing above average today with what I had. Excellent little ramen shop with a very creative offering of ramen besides the traditional. There's a red curry ramen. A dan dan ramen. Few other specialty ramen and they do offer the standard ramen as well. There also some buns on the appetizer menu. The salted cucumber was very delicious. I ordered the spicy miso ramen. The flavor of the broth had a lot of depth of flavor and the spice was there but not overwhelming. The ramen noodles itself was superbly al dente. So glad to have this option in the mall now! My first experience with them was simple as I just got a milk tea and a bun, but I was satisfied and will be back to try their ramen. Note that due to the nature of the food, there can be a short wait but they use buzzers which is a good way to handle food that takes a bit longer. Amazing new addition to the Mall of America food scene. It's great to have another dining option at the mall, especially a LOCAL one! Located on the third floor, in the Culinary on North food court area, right by Piada Italian Street Food. Ichiddo is a fast-casual concept, serving authentic, cooked to order Japanese ramen. They have over 15 different toppings and so many delicious choices. Their char siu ramen is my personal favorite. They also have a ton of different appetizers to choose from if you're just looking for a quick snack. I highly recommend their Takoyaki - fried octopus dumplings - perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! If ramen isn't your cup of tea, you can try one of their Stir-Fry Ramen - essentially ramen without the broth. So flavorful and also excellent. They also have Donburi or rice bowl, with different meat and veggie options! For their drink program at this location, they are partnering up with Mi-Tea - so you can have yummy bubble and fruit tea to go with your meal! Very happy to see Ichiddo expand their business and for the Mall of America to obtain a delicious, Japanese spot to enrich the cultural landscape of the food court. There was a bit of confusion as the phone number was changed into a random number I didn't recognize, so I was held back from picking up my order for a bit, but no complaints towards the staff member. Calamari had a nice crunch and texture to it and wasn't tough to chew. Fried rice flavor was fair and seemed to have an interesting miso flavor to it. Ramen tasted like regular ramen but was still delicious. They also include fun boba flavors and a decent menu variety. The line was filled but not overly crowded and the atmosphere is noisy given the busy mall around it as a food stand. If you're in a rush, maybe this place may not be the best choice but if you're willing to wait, you won't be disappointed yet you won't be jumping up and down either. read more

When I was at the mall, I was craving ramen SO bad, so I decided to stop by Ichiddo Ramen. Their crispy chicken ramen satisfied by craving more than I could have wished. I was more than satisfied with how incredibly fast service was, the friendliness of the staff, and the deliciousness of the food. They also had boba, which was a good touch as a post-meal treat. The service was not good. 1/10, not that I expect amazing service from a mall food court. It was around 11:15 am, and the food court was relatively empty. The employee was standing there behind the cashier using her phone. I was trying to use the self ordering device near the counter. She did not look up from her phone until I asked her if the device was working and she just said "no it's not". Ichiddo was not at all busy at this time- I was the only customer there. She could have just told me that the device was not working instead of letting me poke at the screen for a full minute. Is she there to play on her phone or actually help the customers? The employee behind her was working so hard cleaning the equipment near the front counter, while this specific employee had her eyes glued to her phone. When I was picking up the order and dropping off the buzzer at the counter, she was still looking down at her phone while walking towards me. I don't care at all if she's on her phone when there's no customers, but the least she can do is look up while she's helping someone. Worst customer service ever. I ordered a takoyaki, and it was incredibly disappointing. I saw the cook take out the takoyaki from the deep fryer. This should not be cooked like a deep fried hush puppy. Takoyaki should be cooked in a takoyaki pan that has the individual ball-shaped molds. I've had good takoyaki at other Japanese markets, and the takoyaki at Ichiddo is terrible and unacceptable in comparison. The skin was overly crispy and hard, since it was deep fried. There was not enough of the takoyaki sauce. Instead, they decided to cake on mayonnaise. The batter was mediocre in flavor and texture. They were so stingy with the bonito flakes too. You might as well not put any bonito flakes at that point. I was very unhappy after this meal. This was one of the worst takoyaki that I have had in my entire life. Please don't waste a single dollar at this place. If you want something quick in that food court, go to Panda Express instead. read more

This spot should have more reviews. I'm the first to admit I turn my nose up at mall Asian food of any kind. However, I wanted some good Raman and after asking "how is it?" to those who stood in line, qnd seeing how it looked n the bowl I decided to try it. It had the rich pork broth and just right squiggly noodles. They have a few options but I had the chashu pork with black garlic. The pork wasn't top quality or home-cooked flavor but much better than I expected. A bit overpriced, but hey, they have to tag on the MOA rent. read more
