MID! My friend and I came here for dinner and left underwhelmed. The restaurant itself has a hip atmosphere, but everything else falls short. Our server never checked on us. I was having to flag down other servers just to get a refill on water. I got the impression that they were pulling tips and that's why the service was so lacking. The food was just so-so. I expected the black garlic ramen to be intense in flavor and it wasn't at all. I've had black garlic before and this ramen was a one and done. The Dan Dan noodle dish was also blasé. It was hamburger helper in a soup. No intense flavors or anything to make it special. So bland. If you do the tiktok ramen trend with some shin noodles in your kitchen, it comes out better than Ichimi's ramen!! The only thing I enjoyed were the pork belly bao buns, but that's not enough to make me come back. I've brought friends and family and they all agree it is one of the top Ramen restaurants they've been to. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy... people were waiting outside and really just cluttered up not really the best way to be socially distant... the service wasn't great we basically had a non existent server.. Hate to be a Debbie downer but this place was just ok. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled from having ramen in NYC, idk. The shrimp gyoza appetizer lacked flavor since they were underseasoned. For our meals we got the Ichimi Ramen and the Black Dragon Ramen. The broth was just so so, it needed more seasoning and flavor. I did NOT like the black dragon at all. It had a very strong aftertaste, so I'm glad that wasn't the one I ordered lol. Another issue was that our bowls were not hot when they came out, just lukewarm. We would've sent them back but we were absolutely starving so we just started eating. The homemade noodles were great through I will say. All in all, not impressed. Had a layover nearby and felt like eating something that wasn't fast food and found this place while walking around, it's a bit of a hole in the wall and kinda easy to miss but the food is of exceptional quality and the staff is friendly as well. My only two issues with the place is the price for what you het is a little high compared to what I'm used to, usually aroun $11 or $12 compared to this places $13-$15 average, which may be cause of inflation these days. The other issue is the small size of the place, however they do have takeout so that's a rather small problem. Other than that, I really enjoyed the food and would come back if I was in the area again. read more

This place is soooo good, it should be illegal. My hubby just stumbled upon it the other day and saw the great reviews on yelp, we decided to try it today for lunch. We had the pork ears, OMG! My favorite thing was their homemade noodles. Their broth had plenty flavor. I was satisfied with those two things. The only problem was the meat (porkbelly and beef) had no flavor to it. It feels like they just added boiled meat to the bowl. I wish they would give it a good marinade or use a cut with more flavor. The gyoza was super good and everyone in my family loved it. I personally really enjoyed their ribs but the rest of my family was just okay with it. I would come back but maybe just save money by not getting any protein in my ramen. read more

My review is based solely on the ramen. I got the curry ramen, which has the tonkatsu broth just with curry paste added. It was just ok to me. I prefer pork belly that's seared, theirs is similar to braised pork. I didn't like that. The broth flavor wise was ok. I can't speak to service as I ordered takeout. Bad, just bad all around. I ordered the pork dumplings and one of their ramen soups. I really liked the dumplings but the soup after just one sip it was not to my taste. It happens and it's ok! But I was surprised when the waitress did not ask if I wanted to try something else but instead took the soup and left me staring at my glass of water for nearly 10 minutes before asking if I just wanted my check. When I went to pay she tried to remove the soup off my check since I only had one sip... but apparently their manager was not in and they were not allowed to make these types of decisions on their own??? Someone from the kitchen had to call someone else and after a while I was just tired of waiting so I just said I'd pay for it so I can just leave. Then their card machine was not working so I had to wait another 5-10 minutes for them to reboot it. Finally I was able to pay (the full amount) and one of the cooks came to me and said next time if I don't like something I have to tell him directly ... uhhh how would I know that?! Overall it was very bad but at least the pork dumplings were good... not that it will make up for it for me to ever return here again. Whoever runs this place: if you can't have your people make any decisions while you're out then you should either work every hour that it's open or trust that your team will be able to hold it down while you're out... read more

The place is small but you wouldn't feel it because you're too busy enjoying the food and the customer service is always on point! Ichimi offers various ramen bowls with your choice of broth, which I love because many places will only serve their ramen bowls with pork broth. While on a work trip to Miami, my co-worker and I got to break away from the mundane samplings that the hotel offered and got to venture off else where to see what Florida has to offer. We did sample this place, oddly given the heat outside, sure why not try ramen lol Here are few of the items we sampled and how they all faired, The black dragon ramen bowl with egg noodles instead of the preferred stringy type offered when ordering, comes with a whole boiled egg usually not the case if your from the west coast in California they only offer you half the boiled egg, few strips of thinly sliced pork belly, as well as one thin cut paper of seaweed on the side gently dipped in the soup. From my experience of having black garlic at other restaurants this one comes close but not as good as some offered back home. The broth is heavy, when twirling your spoon in the bowl it turns from black to darkish cream color, spiciness level was non-existent slurp all day and your lips won't puff up. On a whole this bowl was good better then most but not the best. I will have to come back and sample their bowl of spicy red. deep fried crab on bao (the Kraken) - simply deep fried soft shell crab on a Chinese white bun, this was one of the highlight dishes that I sampled, plated and perfectly presented, taste wise was delicious, crunch on the crab was perfect, nothing was slimy or squishy on any bite that I took, the bao (Chinese white bread) was soft and fluffy, perfectly meshed with crab, this dish offers 3 pieces, if you are here with more then 2 people I suggest you order 2 orders The scallion pancake - simply was omelette with scallions, semi dense, tasty good filler or side when having ramen On a whole I will come back to try more bowls of ramen and few more of their sides, pretty much solid bowl of ramen that I sampled I will have to come back next time in Florida ramen **** kraken ***** order this over and over again scallion pancake *** not my favorite price $$ service **** ambiance ***** fancy, well decorated, modern read more

Ichimi was the first place I tried ramen that was not homemade, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the pork belly bao buns as an appetizer and the spicy miso ramen. The buns are a soft, cloudy texture and it went perfect with the pork. The spicy miso was indeed spicy, which I loved. I came here on the whim with a few of my friends two day ago. The place is very casual and I did not expect anything grate but I am happy to report that I was dead wrong. The menu is small but everything we tried was soooooo good. Start with duck wings and order Ramen #2 and 3. # 3 is my favorite! Then order the Layer cake and you have a fantastic dinner. Here we go with my last review on this place Uber order Paid $26 for a $15 ramen and I can't even get it the way I want!!!!! Asked for egg noodles and beef instead of pork (same option you get in restaurant) I was refused the option for beef instead of pork. the kitchen manager told the person who answered the phone when I called that's I would need to cancel my order (a $60 fee to me) and to reorder food. So I would in the end pay 2x plus the cancelation fee... WTF!!!! Why is it so hard to change out the pork for beef and why do I have to jump through hoops just to get my meal the way I want?! This place has consistently disappointed me at every turn these days and I'm done spending my money at a place that doesn't care about their customers!!! My boyfriend and I decided to try to this restaurant while visiting Miami, because he loves ramen. It was a Sunday night and we had to wait around 20 minutes for a table. They are practicing social distancing inside the restaurant - booths were blocked off and tables were separated. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, which was great. Definitely try the chili sauce if you like your ramen extra spicy. I especially liked the crispy pig ears and takoyaki. The sauce for takoyaki was super creamy and the crispy pig ears had a weird texture but I really liked it. The pork belly bao buns had thick pieces of pork belly. We also ordered baby back ribs which were good. Our server was nice, but I wish he paid attention to us a little more because we had to wait awhile for him to come over to ask for the bill when we finished our food. read more

Beers on tap like Magic hat was a surprise too. I've come here for lunch a few times and you just can't go wrong with the spicy miso with beef. I would not recommend doing the take out. Soup is something you need to eat right away. Since I walked from work it wasn't necessary to find parking but a parking garage is close by and there is some street parking. The modern and lively atmosphere gives all of its visitor a delightful experience, which really fits the cuisine and everything the restaurant has to offer. I ordered the Ichimi Ramen, substituting the broth with Garden broth. Every single ingredient was absolutely fresh, and I could not have asked for a better version of Ramen for vegetarians. In general, it's really hard to find a place that suits vegetarians, and the fact that this restaurant serves a veggie version of every single Ramen dish is truly something unique. I have never come across a Ramen dish that I wanted to have again, but this dish completely changed my outlook on that. I want to have it everyday! I've always heard great things about this place so I finally decided to check them out. As it turns out, all the great things I've heard were TOTALLY true! With a 6 o'clock opening it makes the place feel more exclusive and harder to get a table, so I would suggest getting there early to get a seat. The service was great, everyone was super attentive and friendly. The food was soooo good and fresh. I thought New York had good ramen, but wow this place is even better!
