The space is intimate with limited seating, which makes the entire evening feel special from the moment you walk in. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. I had the 12‑course Omakase. The fish tasted unbelievably fresh, and the chef's talent really shines through in the subtle, thoughtful ingredients he pairs with each bite. Nothing is overpowering -- everything is balanced, clean, and deeply flavorful. Some of my favorites were the crudos, the Taiwanese fish dumplings, and the blue crab hand roll -- absolutely delicious. All the crispy rice dishes were tasty and creative. Even though I couldn't capture photos of everything, every course was memorable. The wine and sake selection is good. Dessert was the perfect finale -- not overly sweet, and such a satisfying way to end the meal. Another huge plus: parking is incredibly easy. There's a lot just a few feet away, so you're not circling the block or stressing before your reservation. Overall, this was a fun and memorable dining experience from start to finish. Delicious food, a talented chef, warm service, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger . I will absolutely be coming back.

Everything was absolutely amazing. We got lucky and got sat down within 10 minutes without a reservation. The service was fantastic, Debra was amazing. She was making all the sushi for us and was very quick at it. I love that it really feels like an experience when you are eating there. I ordered the crispy rice flight and each piece was delicious and filled with flavor. The rice was crisped to perfection, I honestly could've ordered another flight but was full and didn't want to over do it but they were soo good. The panko shrimp was awesome and had so much flavor. The egg tartar gave it a real kick, I loved it. I also had a soup which was good, it really made my tummy feel so warm and happy afterwards. I'll definitely be coming back here once again. I can't wait to do the multiple course dinner. I didn't think I could finish it this time around so I didn't order it but next time I'm going in!!

Miami Spice menu unfortunately just didn't impress. Don't get me wrong, the $35 price is amazing, and for that alone you should take the chance to check out Miss Krispy Rice! But some of the flavor combos didn't taste too good. Photos of spice courses below. I'd suggest going for non-spice menu so you can have choice. Service was great and the owner chatted with us as well during the meal which was a nice touch - you can tell they care!

Miss crispy rice has been on my bucket list for quite some time and although I haven't yet scratched their restaurant off my list I had the please of trying them out at the lunar festival in downtown. I got their salmon hand roll which was amazing and shows me the find the highest quality fish for their dishes which is absolutely important as I eat sushi all the time and even though the fish is suppose to be a garnish in Japan. Here in Miami it isn't easy to find that quality of fish everywhere. Also had their beef pho dumplings that compliments the hand roll in every way.

Came here for "taste of Gables". I made a reservation and was immediately sat. This location is small, but the omakase bar is still nice. The sushi chefs were pleasant and talkative, explaining each piece of fish. it was $35 for 7 course lunch, and i also added on a hand roll and crispy rice. My favorite bites were the orange hamachi crudo and the scallop crispy rice. Their miso soup with the leeks and corn was also delicious. I added on the hawaian poke hand roll, and im happy i did, because i loved the sweet sauce on top. I was shocked at how much i enjoyed the panko shrimp handroll with the egg cream on top. It almost reminded me of egg salad, and it paired rally nicely with the shrimp. The fish dumplings were okay, just a normal dumpling. All-in-all really nice omakase for the price.

Chef Deborah was so nice! Food was amazing. We went for the Taste of Gables $60 12-course dinner special. Its super worth it, especially if you are a sushi lover. The crispy rice and hand rolls were my favorite. Highly recommend.

I've been to several omakase experiences, so I was looking forward to trying this one. I opted for the 14-course option, which is advertised at $87 per person. However, with taxes and added "fees," the total for two people came out to $230. While most of the bites were decent, I felt the overall experience lacked the sense of quality I've come to expect from omakase. That said, the service was excellent. They were able to accommodate my shellfish allergy without issue. My water glass was never empty, and the staff consistently checked in to make sure everything was going well. The place had a nice vibe with good music, and the employees did a great job taking care of several parties at once.

Miss crispy rice is another great find in the coral gables area. It's decorated pink with cherry blossoms designs. A reservation is a must to get the best experience. But don't worry if you don't have one, they'll accommodate you. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The menu has a variety of options. I decided to get the dumplings with were good and hot. The sake is a must here and they have a good selection. I went for the flight since I wanted to try the different options. It was definitely a good choice.

Went to try Miss Crispy Rice and did the 8-course lunch this past Saturday afternoon. While I don't remember every single dish name, I can confidently say they were all amazing. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we basically had the whole place to ourselves, which made it feel like a full personal dining experience -- definitely a little bonus for us. Every course was exceptional, but the crispy rice truly stood out... so good and 100% something I'll be going back for. I also loved the subtle touch of lemon zest on some of the sushi - it added such a fresh, bright flavor. The only thing I wish is that we were able to see the full 8-course menu listed on paper so I could properly name and shout out each dish in this review. Overall, still such a great experience and absolutely worth it.

Had a really great lunch here. The food was super tasty. We did the Miami spice menu. The eel crispy rice was definitely the best thing we ate. The salmon with chili crunch was also super delicious. While everything tasted good we felt that the food service / timing was very rushed. When we had asked about ordering a la carte items we were initially told that they didn't know if they would have time to offer that because the lunch seating is only one hour. After the meal was done they rushed taking the a la carte orders without giving us time to look at the menu and they were quite rude about taking the orders. They also don't have any non-alcoholic drinks listed on their drink menu. Honestly they should give themselves more of a buffer between seatings. The rushed feeling was not a great experience and took away from the amazing food.

This is a must go to spot! Easy 5 out of 5 review! Miss Crispy rice is a cozy 16 seat restaurant located just at the very end of Coral Gables. The staff is wonderful. The place is nice and trendy and you can go solo, like I did or with others. You'll fit right in. The Miami spice dinner was great and I was stuffed by the end of it all. I highly recommend sitting directly in front to catch in on the action. The music is so cool and I thought that added to the experience. Check out the pictures below and enjoy!

This place has been on my list for a while and I finally got to try it! It's a small spot but overall great experience. The service is fast and great. My favorite dishes were the eel crispy rice and the sashimi! It is on the pricier side but I heard their Miami spice deal was going to be a permanent thing so if it is I would definitely check it out!

For Miss Crispy Rice's one-year anniversary, they hosted an incredible special event featuring 16 courses created by 16 different chefs and it was truly a memorable culinary experience. Many of the chefs were present to personally introduce their dishes, which added a thoughtful and engaging touch to the evening. Andrew Mayer, a co-founder, served as the moderator and guided us through the progression of courses, offering insights and context that elevated the experience even further. The event was intimate, with a small and enthusiastic group of guests, and every dish showcased creativity, flavor, and personality. This was my first visit to Miss Crispy Rice, and while the tasting event was exceptional, it definitely made me want to return to try their regular menu. If this experience is any indication, I'm sure it won't disappoint.

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

As you're being directed to your table, it feels like you're in Spain and dining in a Spanish wine cellar. The decor is beautiful and the food is authentic Spanish. I'll put this place up against the best NYC Spanish restaurant, any day. I started with a glass of Red Sangria and it was SO GOOD! Served with lots of fruit, this drink was smooth and I had to remind Esteban, our fine Server, to not remove my fork, so I can enjoy the sangria smothered fruit, afterwards. We started with Ham Croquettes and Meatballs. I cannot commend these appetizers, enough. The croquettes were exquisitely soft, the outer breading was thin enough that it wasn't crunchy, and the seasoning was delectable. The meatballs were just as good as the croquettes and that sauce was mouth-watering good. The entree just kept getting better. We shared the Churrasco entree (Angus skirt steak and grilled vegetables). The steak was already sliced, the meat was succulent, savory, and a dream to enjoy. The vegetables were lightly charred and were just as devine as the rest of the items. If you're into Spanish food, please give El Carajo a chance to satisfy your appetite. The experience my partner and I had at El Carajo was absolutely disgraceful. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were not welcome. After being seated, we were completely abandoned. We sat at our table for over 12 minutes without a single employee acknowledging our presence. The waitress actively ignored us, completely bypassing our table to serve other parties who arrived after us. She never came over to greet us, never offered us water, and never took our order. It became painfully obvious that this absolute lack of service was not an oversight, but deliberate discrimination because we are a gay couple. To be treated like we were invisible and inherently unwelcome in a public establishment is deeply hurtful and completely unacceptable. The environment felt hostile, and the blatant prejudice we experienced ruined our evening. We ultimately had to leave without even ordering. Do not support this establishment if you value equality, respect, and basic human decency. They do not deserve your business.
