Yuck. Sushi didn't seem fresh. Soups were bland and tasteless. The only thing that my friend and I liked was the seaweed salad. Other than that, the place smelled bad, the walls were and bathroom dirty.

The fried rice is dry. The sweet carrots was unseasoned The customer service was horrible, the drive thru lady was surely . The chicken was fatty .

Ordered online and arrived 5 minutes before they opened. Lady at window said I would be waiting. 20 minutes later and nothing. I Called the store to check on my order and was told it would be another 15 minutes. Waited another 10 after the 15 minutes before my food came out! And I had to go inside to check again! Meanwhile an employee came out to smoke twice while I waited on my food. I waisted my entire lunch break waiting on food! Online ordering should not be open if orders can not be filled.

Ichiro will always have my heart and soul. Friendly, fast, efficient staff. Fresh, plentiful and simply great tasting hibachi, teriyaki and sushi entrees for very reasonable prices. For Japanese cuisine in the Rock Hill area, Ichiro initially set the bar, and continues to maintain it to this day. I frequent every Japanese cuisine establishment in the area on a regular basis, and for the freshness, amount of food, consistently, wonderful taste, and value for money, they simply cannot be beat. Though Ichiro may lack the fancy, arguably pretentious decor of other Japanese eateries in the area, what is does excel in is exceptionally tasty, plentiful and very fresh food at very reasonable prices, which is what matters most. They are truly a culinary diamond in the Rock Hill area that I always visit and recommend to others again and again and again.

I like to go to Ichiro when I'm not in the mood for a fancy, sit-down sushi meal. It's always fresh and the service is fast.

The veggies I had tasted as if they were not rinsed well. It had a very "gritty" texture to it. Shrimp sauce was not great.

My steak was chewy and my sushi was soggy and my shrimp tasted fishy. My husband enjoyed the teriyaki chicken. Overall, Not impressed.

She was knowledgeable about the menu, gave excellent recommendations, and made sure our food and drinks arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. Her positive attitude and attention to detail made our entire dining experience feel special and memorable. It's rare to find someone who goes above and beyond the way Lily does. With it being my first time back in Fort Mill after sometime, I was ecstatic to see this place show up. Upon entrance, the elevated honeycomb seating on the right immediately caught my eye and I knew I had to sit there. The staff was polite in greeting me and provided recommendations after I sat down. For a drink, I decided to try the POKKA Oolong Tea, which was a toss up on whether I'd enjoy it. It was delicious and settled perfectly with all the food. For an appetizer, I decided to get the Tokoyaki which came in a solid portion and tasted great. For my ramen dish, I opted for a house favorite, Spicy Garlic Ramen with a level 2 heat. The whole dish was a perfect balance of tasty topping, well cooked noodles, and a delicious broth. The pork was so tender and of good quality. All in all, this place has such a wonderful atmosphere for grabbing some food by yourself or with friends. The small plates make for perfect sharing and the seating arrangement breeds a feeling of togetherness so often missing from dining experiences. The staff was so kind and helpful, and I even got to learn a bit about the beauty of Indonesia.

Well, as soon as I hit the door, I can tell they changed a few things....decor-wise. The area near the entryway wasn't bad...if anything, a bit better? However, the buffet area was way worse. I'd definitely say downscaled. There was absolutely no vibe to the place. Despite the lofty size, it was dead silence. No overhead music...and not many diners either (on a New Year's Eve). In fact, I don't ever recall this place being so quiet. The buffet foods were also downscaled. The foods all just looked so bad...as in TV dinner quality? Some of it didn't even look fresh? In fact, I'm worried about the sushi that I had. They were some of the worst sushi I've ever had...as in EVER HAD!!! Also, they didn't even have some of the items I used to enjoy...liked steamed buns (or maybe I just didn't catch it??). Good thing that they kept the pricing reasonable...about $19 per person? Although I don't recall being blown away by the quality in the past (especially in the past decade), the foods were MUCH better in quality the last time we were here (2020?). It's truly sad because when this place first opened way back when, it was really good. However, with the change of management over the years from Jade to Ginza, things kept dipping downward. Both my husband and son agreed on just how bad everything was this time...and we also agreed that this is probably the last time we'll come here.
