Came in as a walk in for a nail fill and a pedi. The ambiance was nice and service was prompt, they also offer drinks with your service. Danny did an excellent job on my fill, however I have never in my life paid $165 for a fill in and a basic pedicure. When I looked at the itemization I saw that not only did they up charge $10 for French tips but also $20 for gel. And then $45 extra for the design I got. None of this was communicated prior to me paying. I didn't think to ask because I've never experienced this at a salon before. Now charging extra for gel and French tips is already crazy; but $45 extra for this design is wild! I've had way more elaborate nails that I didn't pay this much for. I will come back to Cachet, but I know going forward I won't be getting French tips or designs. Beware of the many up charges! read more

SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES -- BEWARE Nice place but they will literally overcharge you WITHOUT telling you (asked for the jelly pedicure and they they overcharged me $20 because they "did gel"). I never asked for gel or any upcharges, and when I talked to the manager at the front door she said they would rather take the gel off & do the normal nail polish rather than not charge me the $20. Absolutely love the nail techs here but great customer service can only take you so far. Had it not been for them, I'd rate it 1 star. Unfortunately super disappointed on how my nails turned out... within a week. The polish completely chipped off on 4 nails, the nail beds were SO thick & my actual nail was chipping at the edge. It looked horrible & I have a huge work trip in 2 days - yikes! This is a nicer salon but with tip, acrylics/dip, pedicure and a design - it was over $300+! I absolutely never have a problem paying for great work, and will continue to do so, but the way my nails turned out within days - it ain't worth it. My niece's nails were much better but both of our pedicures completely chipped off - we paid for the Jelly pedicure and it felt awesome! So sad it didn't last more than a week. I'm super sad because I absolutely loved the girls at this salon and was so excited to finally find a great salon to spend my money at. Unfortunately, I work hard and want my nails to look good for the money I pay. I don't expect nails to last months, or even weeks... but at least 2 weeks. If you're willing to take a chance or don't have an important event within a week, give them a shot. If you want your nails to last more than a week, try another salon. read more

Noticed how ratchet my nails started to look. I had a little bit of time so I decided to take my chance at Cachet for a gel manicure on a Saturday afternoon. Decor and Ambiance: 5/5 modern grey color with beautiful throne like pedicure chairs.. contemporary and chic design with the nail bar and front desk.. In the middle of the salon. There's full of live plants sitting in what seem like a water mini pool. It's busy on Saturday.. Club music ringing in the background but not too loud.. And of course wine, mimosas , water and maybe soda are being serve complementary to the guests that's getting services. Customer service: 5/5 France and another lady are the receptionists that greeted me. Both were very on point and gentle.. Sofia was the nail technician that completed my gel manicure. Talkative which I like.. And very careful on not cutting to much of my cuticles because I did mentioned that my nails are throbbing for some reason.. Shaped and polished my nails beautifully. All in all, you may take have to wait because it's popular place.. I had to for 30mins.. So it's best to set an appt.. Went in on a Saturday morning as a walk in to have my gel manicure removed and a dip put on instead. The salon itself is nice and we were helped quickly. They had us (my sister and I) wash our hands before starting the manicures which I really liked! Every salon should implement this especially when doing dip powder in the same bowl for every customer. The woman who helped me was very nice and worked quickly however... this is one of the worst dip manicures I've ever had. The clear polish she was using was old and stringy- literally stringing from the top of the bottle to her brush as she was putting the layer on my nail. The top coat is bumpy and unevenly spread across the nail/doesn't reach the tip. She ignored this and kept going. She also cut me twice on my pinky to the point that I was bleeding and sore after I left. I think my worst nightmare is getting a cut in one of these places. :( It was $60 total plus a $15 tip. I will never go back here. One of my nails has already chipped after a day and I've done no hard work with my hands to warrant the front to chip the way it did. I think it's because the top coat that was cured was not even/is super old. I waited a couple days to post this. But I'm upset that I need to go to a new place and spend more money to fix a $75 mistake from this salon after less than a week of wear. read more

I tried so hard to like this place based off of how nice front desk is but baby it's a no for me !my first experience was amazing! I got what I asked for ...Front desk is friendly but not great communicators ... second encounter not so great ... i don't know if it's because the nail tech was new but I went in to get a pedicure and a fill... now my big toe nail was split on the side so I asked the nail tech to clip it down and add a tip so I wouldn't break ... she insisted that she'd file it and put glue and it would be ok...same day the nail was fine ... next day the nail started to chip...right away I reached out to the company to let them know it's been less than 24hrs and my nail was chipped ... she said to come in and they would fix it ... I also got a fill with French tips .. where you could see the imperfections and old acrylic from the old set .. now never have I ever left a nail salon where I got a fill French where you could see the old acrylic... again the front desk said come in and they would fix it ...get there to fix the fill I was told I had to pay extra because I did not tell her I wanted a colored base to cover up the old acrylic ! Again I've been to many nail salons and never had to tell a nail tech how to make a French look clean or make it look brand new because they know ! I get her wanting to be paid for her time but what about my time and gas having to return back to a salon because I didn't get what I paid for in the first place ... I will not return... when I went back they fixed the toenail correctly but that's about it ...Nene S was the first nail tech I had here who was awesome but the second encounter is why I won't return... wasted time and money ... Worse customer service , worst experience ever. I made my appointment 5 days in advance for 5:30 on Friday .. I get a text about two hrs before my appointment while at work saying the tech had an emergency, can I reschedule. I replied no I have a flight out of town that night and explained my father had passed a day before and I was headed to be with family. They then said Andy could do my nails and I agreed . I arrived on time after they changed my time to 5:45. After sitting the front asked if I could start pedicure , while Andy finished. Again I agreed , Andy finished about an hr later then walked over no greeting just a lazy tone of what u getting and in same sentence pretty much told me he couldn't do designs . Mind you they asked did I want designs and designs was in my original notes when booked . I asked him what does he do or does he have pictures . He stated no . After I gave him my phone and went online and said pick out whatever you can do. I even pointed to old school swirls. He then went to the front and told Young lady that he could just replace my set and do nothing else he did came back over there and thought I couldn't understand anything he was saying and he was more or less saying to the lady doing my pedicure that he only wanted to do stuff with color. After that I asked front person to call owner, I explained to her about the the passing of my father and I really needed to stay on track and I even explained his demeanor. The lady at the front then got back on the phone with the owner of the establishment Amanda, and after she came and spoke to me and said that they can take off my nails and he will polish them, but somebody might maybe can do a design who knows after I told them I had a flight and everything else I had to do then she told the lady at the front don't call her again. They're nasty, rude, bias, everybody in there drinks while they're working and for the most part unprofessional. They always think you don't understand anything they're saying, but I understand clearly what the gentleman was saying. I just wanted to wait to see what lies he would come back over there and tell. And to be clear this set I just got put on 2.5 weeks ago. The nails from start were breaking off in total 6 out of 10 nails broke. Over simple task one when scratching my face , another I went to grab my can opener and two broke while I was trying to turn a knob on a older house . I left my nails like this for the time being because my father was in hospice and I figured it can wait . For me to explain this to the owner Amanda and her response to tell staff not to call her, she is a shameless person who doesn't deserve anyone's business. Added note Andy use to work at the salon that closed I use to frequent and he did designs and the reason he came over late was because he had been doing a turquoise sloppy design on the customer in his chair . The fact I saw the mess and was still willing to let him play with my nails is how desperate I was . But none the less as I explained to young lady the front I will be leaving reviews and having others share their experiences online . Got the 60 minute coconut pedicure. First off was in and out the door in 40 minutes. I ask the woman three times to increase pressure on the massage. Never happened! I was being pet softly. The last three times I've been in, the service has consistently gotten worse. The first time I got a pedicure and full set. The pedicure was fine and the woman who did my full set did not listen to what I wanted at all but the nails turned out good (so I was relatively happy, I just wouldn't get my nails done by her next time). The second time I went, I only got a full set done and it took over three hours since the woman who did my nails the first time used MMA on my nails (I had no idea). The woman who did my nails this time said no one at the salon is supposed to use that product and she assured me it wouldn't happen again. The full set the second woman did turned out amazing even though it took forever. I decided today to give this place one last try since it's so close to where I live. I made an appointment for a pedicure and full set, and ended up waiting half an hour after my appointment time for my pedicure and was not able to get the full set since they couldn't finish everything before I needed to leave (I booked out two hours of my time). The pedicure was extremely painful today and I really did not enjoy the entire experience, so I will unfortunately not be coming back here. read more

This is honestly my favorite place to go to get my nails done! And they saved my nails and my day. So I'm a full time student and have two jobs and wanted to pamper myself. I went to a different nail salon and they absolutely destroyed my nails. I decided to go visit the South End location as I had been there before previous years ago and they saw how awful my nails looked and Jimmy fixed them and made me look like the queen I am! Waited until my second visit to write this review. Well today was my second visit to Cache and this time I brought my husband to get a pedicure with me. He enjoyed the length of the pedicure chair as he is on the taller side (6'2"). He enjoyed a Mojito pedicure and I a Pina Colada pedicure. After our pedicures I was scheduled for a gel manicure and the tech who did my pedi took me to a table and ask me about my color and I showed her a picture of my nails that my FAV tech would do back in the DMV and she expressed that she didn't know how to do designs. I decided to practice patience and waited for her to go search for someone who could. She return and pointed out this young lady and said she would be with me soon. I kindly said OK and went to the restroom. Upon my return the amazing Judy approached with a smile. I explained to Judy how hard it has been to find a creative and talented nail technician since moving to the QC three years ago. I told her I'm looking for something to reflect Breast Cancer Awareness and added that I would like two types of pinks "Her Choice" & boy did she deliver and took me back to my old nail salon in the DMV where I had two best friends who were amazing. I went to this nail salon may 3rd 2023 and paid $184 for a full set and pedicure with gel & eyebrow waxed. I really love my pedicure and eyebrows but my nails FUCK NO!!! today may 11th and I had no choice but to try to remove my nails because they were already falling. I'm usually able to wear my nails for 2-3 weeks it's only been a week and my nails look like SHIT! That being said this place is very clean!! That's the first thing that keeps me coming back :) They have a wide range of colors to choose from which is another plus! I have been here numerous times. I get SNS every single time and the nail techs all have a different technique so my nails end up looking different every single time. The inconsistency is unfortunate and has left me displeased on multiple occasions but I have kept returning because I wanted to give them a chance and it is close to me. After today I will not be returning. As stated before I have been here at least 15 times and I get the same thing every single time and I usually have 1-2 tips on my nails as some break. Today, the receptionist told me there was only one man that worked there that could do that, even though every single time I have come in someone different has done my nails and it is never a problem. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude and I could tell she just didn't want to take me because it was 10 minutes until they didn't take walk ins anymore. This used to be my go to spot. The ambiance, service and free wine were great. During peak times you had to wait for a while if you didnt make an appoinyment. I took a break for a few months and the first time back was today. A few things: all of their top techs quit (the tea from other nail techs was that customers didnt tip). The seats dont have massage functions are still uncomfortable especially if you are short. Your feet dangle. A new set with gel polish was $50, the mojito pedi was $35. My nail tech did an amateur job. They constantly cut my cuticles, lots of clear polish on my skin around the nails, under the back of my nails. There were also chunks of acrylic under the back of my nail which I had to remove myself. My nails are super thick and i will be going elsewhere to get them fixed. Previously you could tip on your card. They have since disabled that function and installed an atm where you can withdraw money for a fee. Not exactly tip inducing for people that dont carry cash. Lastly... the music. They used to play music that would appeal to all types. Today their spotify must have been set to the spice girls channel. Not ideal. Overall a once stellar salon has turned into a mediocre experience and I will be looking for a new shop. read more
