I came here for a mani pedi on a weekday. They weren't busy at all so I was helped pretty quickly. They have a great selection of colors! As soon as I got settled I got asked if I wanted a drink. I just opted for water. They started with the pedicure. I was pretty happy. The water temperature was hot which is what I like. The tech was very accurate and did a great job. Once we were done we walked over to get my nails done. I decided to just do a basic mani (I usually do gel) and was pleased with it! It didn't chip for a long time and it looked like I had gel on there. My nails were manicured just right and it was nice and shiny. I would definitely come back and next time to try the gel polish! read more

This place is in shared shopping areas so there's plenty of parking. It's very large. There's a lot of pedicure areas as well as manicure stations. They take walk-ins as well as people who have appointments. The place was clean however, my nails the quality was not good. I wasn't offering anything to drink. It could've been a technician that I had. Maybe I'll come back and try someone else, but my nails are not great. read more

I decided to try Nini on a whim and had a pretty good experience. I made a quick reservation online for a Saturday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. There were only like 5 workers in there at the time, and nobody waiting at the front. Paul did my nails and I was impressed by how much he paid attention to detail. He did a great job shaping my nails to the shape I asked for and they were all even and beautiful. My only issue was the fact that he was so ROUGH with the drill and the file! He was just going to town and even drew blood at one point. I find this to be pretty common with male nail techs, is it just me? Other than being fairly painful, my nails turned out beautiful. I would go back but might choose a different tech next time. read more

I've been waiting weeks and using castor oil to grow out my messed up brows. A tad bit skeptical, I tried a new spot again. You'd think I'd be gun shy, right??? But this time I hit the jackpot!!! A cute little spot located in the heart of Ballantyne, NiNi is a tucked away gem. I entered through the back door mistakenly. So if you're heading directly from Bad Daddy's, know that you'll need to walk all the way around to find the front door. Greeted warmly and served quickly, customer service was excellent. I explained to my "brow lady" how skeptical I was and how critical I would be. She accepted the challenge and looked disgusted for me when I revealed my one hidden brow under my hair. It was bad! I was the first one there before they even open up, unfortunately three people ended up doing my nails they kept taking turns and my nails came out horrible very bulky and chunky. That was the worst $90. I spent in my life and I have been doing my nails for over 15 years. I definitely do not recommend this place for SNS. This is my second time coming here - the first time my nails started cracking within a week of getting them done. I decided to give them another try, thinking that a different technician would make the difference. Unfortunately they're once again cracking after only 6 days. They use a gel top coat and that definitely isn't strong enough. I normally go to Aloha Nails (they were closed, which is why I tried this place again) and my nails will last 3 weeks with no damage what-so-ever when done at Aloha. Super disappointed! read more

My pedi was great! My mani not so much. I'm not from Charlotte and chose this place because of location and free drink (plus!). Pedicure was amazing. My manicure not so much. After sitting about 40 min just waiting for my nails to dry with a small fan (that looks like something on a dashboard of a car) all of my nails (painted with the same polish smeared by the time I had gotten to my car. I've always had a top coat applied on my nails as a last step but I didn't get this here. Not worth sitting through again by asking to have a redo. Chalking it up to lesson learned. read more

Great experience! Made an appointment and they started my pedicure right on time. Jennifer was wonderful, personable and talented. I showed her a picture for my nails (full set w gel) and she replicated it perfectly. My pedicure (with Gel polish) was excellent as well. My feet are so soft. Can't wait to come back! read more

I am very happy with my pedicure, gel polish. I am not so happy with my manicure. I usually always get SNS. I tried Ninis because it was close and convenient. I have never had an SNS manicure done where they put a gel UV treated clear coat on top. My nails are chipping, peeling, scratched on top and I got them done 4 days ago... I don't know if they need more training on how to do a SNS manicure but I know adding a gel UV coat is not the way. I'll be going elsewhere for my manicures. read more

Some of the girls are good but do not see Kelly, I have had my nails done by her a few times and I have had to go back almost immediately because they were so poorly done. My daughter had her nails done by her today (I forgot to ask for anyone but her) and again so terrible and she is rude. read more

The last 2 times I came here for a pedicure, I had the same nail tech...and unfortunately I dont care for her technique at all. I get a lot of pedis, and have never had issues with people digging painfully into my cuticles or trying to cut them too much - Until this lady did my nails. Unfortunately I dont know her name... But I do know that I dont want her doing my nails again! The only thing that saved my overall experience is the super-sweet owner who usually does my gel manis. She does a great job and is friendly & easy to converse with. Right now I am torn about going back because I dont want to get stuck with the over-zealous cuticle cutter! read more

DO NOT GO HERE This nail salon is absolute crap! The ONLY good thing, and I mean the only good thing about it is the hand scrub they had at the sink. Last Sunday, I went to go get acrylic sns done. It was alright. The point of sns is so that it lasts longer and acrylic is supposed to last 2 weeks!!!! I am a hostess so I don't even do some crazy job during the day that would cause the sns to come off. I use a touch screen pos system! It is Wednesday night and the sns is COMING OFF!!! 2 days and it is coming off. I don't pay extra for it to come off in 2 days!!!!! If I wanted it to come off that fast, I would get a regular manicure. ALSO, I get SNS because I'm clumsy and don't like to wait for my nails to dry. She put ACTIVATOR on my nails on top of top coat on top of the sns! It smelled like complete and utter crap and I had to wait for it to dry forever!! This place sucks, honestly. Prices are cheap but you get what you pay for. I'm going back to Polished. I'll pay $65 for acrylic sns. Thank you. I'm actually so disappointed by this place, especially since my best friend goes here a lot and I thought it would be great. DO NOT GO HERE read more

I love my pedicure. However, I will not let them do my nails again. They are uneven. I was cut with a nail file and my sns is a complete mess such a mess that I have to go to my regular nail salon to let them fix them. I only came here because they are open on Sunday and now I see, it was a huge mistake. Truly disappointed. Update- I have updated my review to a 5. I am from NJ and very picky about my nails. After we moved to the Charlotte area, my daughter found NiNi online. It is also close to my job, which is the reason I am here in the first place, LOL. My daughter made a fine choice. Although she has returned to school in NY, when she was here, she had service twice and absolutely loved Sandi. I believe the salon is open seven days a week, which I was surprised about. They are also open fairly late, which means you can go after work. The place can get quite busy and appointments work best. Sandi, Theresa and Sam are great. Sam is my manicurist of choice, but she is so good and popular, you have to schedule an appointment for the best outcome. Sam has a great personality, is very caring and always making sure she is not hurting you and making sure you are okay. In addition to providing a quality manicure that won't chip/lift for more than two-three weeks, she remembers your name and other important personal details about her customers. I love her and she is really good at what she does. If you must get a pedicure, Tau Le is the one to see. I don't know her technique, but her pedicures are literally orgasmic when she does the leg massages. The establishment also accepts the BCP discount card. Prices are fair for the area, I suppose. They offer complimentary drinks, too. read more

After having tried multiple salons in the area without much success, Ni Ni Nail Salon is a huge relief. I was treated promptly, offered a drink (wine!) and had a lot of colors to choose from! The nail tech gave me multiple different pedicure options including a chocolate pedicure. (I didn't try it but it sounded heavenly!) She really took her time with my feet and legs, and I left feeling relaxed and loving my toes! read more

I went for a pedicure and she spent maybe 20minutes on me. My heels still looked like they did before I went in, she hurt me when cutting my nails and one of the ladies was talking about drugs and parties the entire time. So unprofessional! My first time at this salon was today. At first I was skeptical, but it was a good first time experience. The lady took my acrylic nails off and constantly made sure she wasn't hurting me. The prices are affordable especially with it being in Ballantyne. Also can't forget to mention that this salon was beautiful and clean inside. I'd recommend this salon. read more

I have visited Top Q Nails along with my 83-year-old mother on numerous occasions. My most recent…read morevisit took place on Friday, September 5th, 2025. The visit started as many of the others had with a warm greeting from the receptionist/manager at the front. This time, we were greeted by name, and I was asked to check in while they prepared spaces for us. After checking in, my mother was placed in one of the first three chairs on the left side of the shop, and I was placed in the center section in the vicinity of my mother. On the website, I requested a classic manicure for myself and a deluxe manicure (gel) and pedicure for my mother. Based on my math, that should equate to just over $100.00. Now my mother suffers from Alzheimer's Dementia, which is known at minimum by the receptionist/manager, but because we have been there on numerous occasions, I would imagine more of the staff know as well. I say all of this to say that I felt we were taken advantage of; my mother, with her condition, will agree to any suggestion, and she was upsold services that I had not requested. Well, as the receptionist/manager put it to me at check out, "let's see what the damage is," the final bill was $224.25. That amount is more than 1/5 of my mother's total Social Security payment. When my mother was seated, I'm sure she was asked if she would like (luxury pedi, hot stone, etc.), and I'm sure she agreed. That explains why I didn't make a fuss at check-out, but as a result, not sure we'll return. That's unfortunate because I like the shop and it's convenient for us, but this is not the first time that this has taken place in that shop. The receptionist/manager stated that she would put a note in our profile for future visits. Just a short bit of social commentary, this kind of business practice has been going on forever; it just seems that now it's rampant! PS: I attempted to post this review without a rating, but I couldn't, so I reluctantly rated it a five based on services provided, but I would rate it a one based on business practices. The salon was spacious and clean. My husband had a pedi with Vin and said he was great, too. There was another technician there, Pim, who seemed so kind - always smiling at incoming customers. I understand she does a great job with builder gel and will try her, too, in case Steven isn't available. Kelly was my technician and she did a fantastic job. She was meticulous in the preparation of my nails for polish. She gave a very relaxing foot and lower leg massage, as well. Her polish application was perfect and she gave each coat time to dry. The result was a mani/ pedi that should last for a long time. It's already been three days with a lot of gardening and dish washing, and my hands still look perfect. Usually several nails would be showing signs of wear by now. I'm super happy and will definitely be back soon. I may have found my new "go-to" nail salon. Note: the place was busy on this Thursday afternoon. I'm glad I had an appointment.

There is a parking lot and a parking deck where I found parking. It is upstairs. The facility is nothing fancy, the pedicure chairs are massage chairs. They have a TON of polish options both gel and not, so that was nice but I found the bottles to be sticky when searching for a color. I wasn't rushed when picking a color which was nice. It was HOT inside. It was an 81 degree day at the beginning of April so maybe they weren't prepared for that yet (they did have fans on) but I was extremely hot. They had the radio on so some commercials played, not constant music. I wasn't offered a drink or any beverages. The nail tech was rough on my nails and feet, there were several points I was uncomfortable and even wondered if I might bleed. I do have cuts on my toes after. She did do a thorough job with a nice leg massage including wax treatment. My nails looked really nice afterwards. It took about an hour for a gel pedicure.

My appointment started before my scheduled time., and that was good because that meant my husband wouldn't have to sit around and wait for me for an hour. My pedicure and manicure were really good. The foot and arm/hand massages were good. The foot paraffin was good. When I took off the nail polish from my toes, my toes were not discolored or infected. I did use tea tree oil after the pedicure. Service was good. The two women working were nice. I would go back again.

Upon entering, I was greeted by the manager and advised that I wanted a manicure with gel polish. Sofi provided my service. During the first several minutes, she repeatedly tried to persuade me to switch to acrylic or SNS, despite my clearly and consistently stating that I did not want those services. Additionally, she appeared frustrated when I changed my mind about my polish color. As a customer, I believe I have the right to adjust my color choice--especially when the original color was not fully available or sealed. What was most concerning was that Sofi began speaking about me to the manager in their language during my service. I understood the conversation and had to address both of them directly, advising that it was inappropriate to discuss me while my manicure was still in progress. This was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. Although I paid and tipped, I will not be returning. I hope this serves as a reminder for the business to be mindful of how they speak about customers--especially since you never know who may understand the language.

I thought that was odd - why not pay as you go? - but she told me that is how she does business and she assured me that if my 91 year old uncle died, she would refund the money fully for appointments not used. Then in September 2023 she sent an email about scheduling for 2024 and I had to schedule immediately (and pay) for the next year because she said that appointments were almost full. My then 92 year old uncle only wanted every other month appointments so I paid $620 for 2024. Unfortunately, my uncle died before using his 2024 appointments. Although Melissa asked me to give her two months for a refund, which I did, and she sent me a photo of the refund precessing a month ago - still no refund and only long, dramatic diatribes instead from her. This was my experience and I would not recommend this company and would not want other customers to fight for refunds and deal with all of this nonsense. I believe she just got back from a month long vacation which makes it worse. I hope this helps others who may be thinking of using her services.
