Normally I don't leave reviews, because I don't want to mess with anyones business, but I felt I needed to say something. I went here based on a yelp reviews and unfortunately did not have a good experience. You will notice that you never see prices listed, neither in the shop or on the website. That's because they charge ridiculously high prices for what you receive. Ask exactly what they plan to do and get your price before they do anything, and make sure they don't add "extra charges ". I came away with uneven hair, even after going back to get it fixed. I had enough of her random cutting and didn't want to wind up with short hair, so I left with hair still uneven and with an average color/highlights. Lesson learned for me to get exact cost and level of experience before they touch my hair. I will go somewhere else to get it fixed, but I wanted someone else to learn from my mistake. read more

I just moved to the area, and so I was really nervous about finding a new hairstylist. I had been with the same stylist for 7 years before I moved back to Michigan. I'm very picky and particular about my hair, and I also have a pixie cut. So- if something goes wrong with a cut....it's not like I can hide it with a pony tail. I looked for a new salon on yelp, and decided to try Iconic Luxe based on the really great reviews it had online. I called and asked which of their stylists was the best/most familiar with short hair, and they recommended, Jackie- the owner. When I went for my first appointment, we talked beforehand about what I'm looking for in my hair, where I want it to go, what I like and don't like etc. She really took the time to talk to me about it beforehand. As she was cutting, she made sure to check in, and ask clarifying questions. I liked that Jackie really took her time with that cut, I could tell that she was really making sure she got the feel of my hair. My hair grew out really well, which is definitely what I'm looking for. I went back again for my standard trim just this past week. We talked a bit about how the cut had worked, and what things I wanted to switch up a little bit. She offered options about where we can make the cut go in the fall, remembering that I had mentioned that I want to do longer pixies once fall hits and it's not so hot outside. The ideas that she offered were exactly what I was thinking of. I'm very relieved that I have found someone whom I can trust with my hair! As any girl with short hair can attest, that's important! In addition to liking the cut, and Jackie's work, the whole salon is really nice. Everyone that works there is really friendly and when I went for my most recent cut, all of us were having a conversation together for awhile. I have been going to Kayla for about a year now and always look forward to my visit to Iconic. I actually live in Chicago but whenever I'm home visiting family in Michigan, I make sure to work in a haircut with Kayla. I love volume and Kayla can always deliver when it comes to giving me the best blow outs after my cut! My mom also goes to Kayla and her hair has never looked better. I found this salon on yelp and called to schedule an appointment for a haircut and hair color treatment. I was there for about 4-5 hours and I really felt like I was taken care of in the best way. When you go for your first time they ask you about your hair and how you treat it and what your goals are. After that they really work with you to do what's best and most beautiful for your style and hair. I 100% recommend this place. Also, it's worth every penny! I have been to many different stylist's over the years and I am very picky. Part of the reason I left my old Salon was because the prices were getting outrageous. I want my hair to look great without spending an arm and a leg. I found Iconic Luxe on Yelp and Kayla had fantastic reviews so I gave her a try. I could not have been happier with my haircut. This is the first time in years that I have left the salon and really truly loved my hair I cannot wait to go back and have her do my color and another couple of weeks and her prices are extremely reasonable. I recently moved to the area and was on the search for a new stylist. I have been to several high end salons where you pay 200$+ for cut and color. I came across Kayla and I have to say this is the best color I have ever had. The prices are extremely reasonable and the salon is very clean and a cute atmosphere. I was seen by Kayla Tullius. There are two Kayla's one is amazing at what she does which is who I asked to have the appointment with but I got this Kayla. This is the picture I showed her even with a video from a hair dresser who explained the cut. And the other pic is what she did to me. I got ten inches cut off so she had a blank canvas pretty much. I love Iconic Luxe! Jackie does my hair and is truly a color expert. I've had more than one bad color job at other salons, but Jackie actually INVESTIGATES both my roots and overall color and does what is necessary to make it look great. Just had my hair styled by Kayla and must say she is a very talented stylist. Very impressed!

I made an appointment at iconic luxe salon and was told that it was with Kayla. When I asked if Kayla had an instagram page so I could see her work, I was told to check out yelp and the salon facebook page. When I got to the salon I found out there are actually two kaylas, one with experience and the photos online and the other who was fairly new. I was with the fairly new Kayla, I should have left when I sensed the unsureness and lack of confidence from her. She gave me a full highlight to brighten and lighten my hair. After being in the salon for 4 hours I was disappointed to see that my hair didn't look much different at all from when I walked in. It isn't lighter and is brassy- even after a glaze she did. It's not horrible, but not what I wanted or worth the time and money. I feel like I was lied to when I made the appointment and now will have to go somewhere else to get my hair redone. I understand Kayla is new and deserves a chance, but I shouldn't have been lied to! I was a victim of the old bait and switch. read more

Jackie has been my stylist for a number of years. I love to try new colors, treatments, highlights/lowlights, and cuts. She has taken me from a pixie cut to shoulder-length style and everything in between. We have done many various color shades and combinations. I have never been dissatisfied or disappointed. She listens and, if necessary, will make suggestions/recommendations so I'm sure to be happy with the final result. Kayla is an outstanding stylist also.
