I love my hair and get compliments on it all the time. Christina has transformed my hair from do it at home uneven blonde highlights of sorts to a beautiful natural bronde with deep roots for depth and bright multi colored blonde highlights. Not only is the color fabulous the condition of my hair is so much nicer. No more frizzy ends and much less breakage with her regular trims, and I only come in every 90 days. smh at all the time I've wasted messing up my hair, especially right before something important - too gold, too light, green ends, never again! I could go on and on, but she has a client for life! (Even though I don't know what to talk about!- is everything okay?) This salon is under new ownership. I noticed some negative comments from a while back. I have been going to the same stylist for many years and she now owns this. I know for a fact that she would make anything "right" if you have a problem. Please give it another try if you have had a problem. I've been going to this Salon for a decade and am very happy. I've had two different stylists in that time, and currently Jenny is my stylist - she's amazing! The salon is in a really cute part of town in Old Village Plymouth and is nicely appointed inside with a beverage bar and charming loft area. So, here's the deal. I buy a lot of Groupons, so in terms of salons...it's safe to say I've been around the block. I have had some crappy experiences, some mediocre, and a couple great ones. My intial impression of Salon International was wonderful, my stylist was sweet and seemed to understand exactly what I wanted. Or so I thought. In any case, I always come with a picture. The picture I showed her was of a dark brown hair color, with caramel underneath. I came in with some seriously grown out partial highlights on the underside of my hair. I wanted more highlights like this because it doesn't show when they grow out. Which is what I communicated to the stylist. I ended up with platinum highlights, all over. Many of the them, on top of my head. Furthermore, I have this pet peeve, that if the highlight isn't right at my root (or as close as humanely possbile), I think it looks grown out and ugly. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but definitely not what I wanted. When I voiced that I wasn't happy, the stylist's demeanor changed completely. She could not wait to get me out of there. I didn't want to be a pain, so I told her it was fine and was just going to leave. She said she could fix it in 15 minutes. So, I agreed. She toned my hair in to a darker shade, but then decided to leave me at the sink for 40 minutes. During this time, she took on her next client. Then she came over, picked through my hair, and asked one of the other stylists to rinse my hair out. This other stylist proceeded to rinse my hair and leave me at the sink, presumably for my original stylist to get me and dry my hair. However, after waiting another 15 minutes, this didn't happen. So I got up, walked right past the stylist and looked her in the eyes. She did not say one word to me. At the front desk, they also ignored the fact that my hair was DRIPPING WET as I was leaving their salon in November. Oh, and at least one of the owners was there witnessing the whole ordeal. Didn't seem to care, at all. My hair looks alright, the light blonde is gone. However, nothing about the cut or color was special. In fact, when I came in to work today, no one even noticed a difference. Am I going back, especially for a full price experience? Never. read more

I got my haircut here recently. My haircut was not bad but not good. The part that was irritating to me was that my stylist complained to me about all her personal problems divorce, house/ car trouble the whole time. This is the first time I have ever been there and I was looking for a relaxing experience. I didn't pay to listen to someone else's problems. After I got home I felt like maybe she was trying to get me to feel bad for her to tip her better which in a way worked. A weird experience overall and definitely won't be back. read more

I had a groupon for a trim and deep conditioner. The lady did not use a deep conditioner and she didn't trim my hair like I asked. She acted like she was in such a rush to get me out of there, It was a waste of time and very disappointing. read more

I was new to the area and in need of a new salon and tried it out because of a groupon, pretty decent the first time. Came back a second time because they provided me with a coupon, got a hair cut and highlights. The highlights were terrible and blotchy. I must've had the same stylist as the other reviewer because she also complained about her divorce and other personal issues that I didn't care to listen to. I was referred to Lisa and John by a friend. Now Lisa and John are refusing to cut my hair anymore. I would never recommend this place. What makes the situation even more dreadful is that I tipped Lisa 20% at my last visit. What makes this situation even more unsettling is that I went out of my way to be friendly and gave John a small gift one day that consisted of a CD from my personal collection. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Have gone to two different stylists. One gave a decent haircut but was incredibly rude. I had been going to her for over two years and gave her 20% tips, and once the cashier was out and so she asked how much my cut was. I advised her it is usually $34. She then said "well I guess I will have to trust you". Unbelievably rude, that she is going to "trust" me after giving her my business for two years and more than adequate tips for the cut I received. Steer clear of this place at all costs. read more
