Wonderful service and a beautiful venue, but the food was a little lacking, especially for the price. My filet smelled a bit off and the romaine in the Caesar had definitely seen better, greener days. The double-crust cheesecake was absolutely delicious, and made in-house. The bar is a lot of fun and very busy, with friendly bartenders and a lot of loud locals--which sounds bad but is actually delightful for ambiance. I'd stick to Happy Hour and go elsewhere for dinner.

Great restaurant inside the Utica Doubletree. The fall-themed drinks were dessert in a glass. So good that when we were finished with our yummy shrimp tacos and waffle fries, we ordered another round. I had the caramel apple martini. Delish.

While on a work trip, my husband and I were guests at the Doubletree Hotel, which is where Iconic is located. We decided to take advantage of our kid free time and chose to dine at the hotels restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised! The Iconid by Chesterfield is absolutely gorgeous. The furnishings are incredibly aesthetically pleasing to the eye, very modern and sleek. They have a lovely bar area for patrons who just want to unwind and have a cocktail or 2 after a long day. The real reason for this review is to discuss the food. IT WAS PHENOMENAL!!! Our dishes were full of flavor. Beginning with the complimentary fresh bread & red sauce that neither my husband nor I could get enough of. Our appetizer, entrees, and desserts were all absolutely delicious! One of our side dishes was risotto. It was one of the best risotto dishes I have had in years! There was not one single critique or complaint for either of our meals or service. Truly, from the moment we were seated, everything was wonderful. Whenever I am in the Utica area again, I will be certain to make it a point to dine at Iconic by Chesterfield.

Outstanding service and a really great meal! The menu is a little limited but that's a good thing based on the quality of the items on it. Wait staff is really outstanding and I'd really recommend this location to anyone looking for a great spot for dinner in the area.

Ate here as wife and I was staying in the hotel that houses this restaurant Great ambiance as the dining area and bar area was nice to look at Service was ok Despite having to ask for water and utensils Appetizer of House made meatballs was good flavorful but little dry Bread for the table was stale but red sauce that came with it was tasty For entrees the Reggie's( spelling not correct but you get my point) was VERY spicy, good at the start but overbearing as you continue eating Drenched in sweat by the time stepson was done eating the meal. Chicken milanse was ok cutlet had No flavor and the pepper that was over the chicken was bigger than the chicken As for the steak and cheese bread was fresh steak slices was good but not enough cheese and just a side of ketchup instead of some house made condiment just doesn't seem iconic Great after work bar but dinner is just ok and definitely overpriced

Chicken Riggies

First time going to this restaurant. At initial entrance the atmosphere is very relaxing and very calm which was nice. After being seated there wasn't a menu for regular beers or even soda, teas, or other drinks. They had a wine list and after dinner drink menus. The menu for food was small. Prices for these meals were fairly priced. My girlfriend got a plain burger with no cheese but for got to take the cheese off. I ordered chicken riggies and it was delicious. It was a little spicy but have great taste. All in all it wasn't a bad experience. The service could of been a little better. The food was very good and it all in all i couldn't argue with the experience.

Food is great and the staff is very friendly. Try the Tuscan Chicken or the Iconic burger. Both are tasty!

A real struggle on graduation weekend:…read more Party of 12, Saturday night. We were told that it wasn't going to be a prix fixe menu as we were a party of under 12 when the reservation was booked (we asked). It was. Selection was somewhat limited particularly for the vegetarians but the waitress said that they could swap veggies in for the trout in the risotto. They didn't. It was just risotto. Potato leek soup. So salty that it was inedible. Like sea water salty. Three of us sent it back. NY Strip. Boring and clearly hadn't been seasoned before cooking (ironic). Not quite cold but really, really close. A little tiny ramekin of chimichurri sauce which I was supposed it make it interesting or tasty I guess. It was neither. The whipped potatoes were delicious. Desert was a borderline interminable wait. And then they served gelato and sorbet to four of us. Think milkshake. A thin, runny milkshake, approaching soup. The food runners and waitress were so embarrassed they couldn't look at us when they dropped the desert and ran. Who lets ice scream, posing as soup out of the kitchen. It used to be a quaint little place with fantastic food ... And now, an overpriced, industrial'ish place with sub-par food (although the owners are clearly cashing out, leaning on its prior reputation). Unfortunate. $85 a head, $1,500 all in with drinks and tip.
