Stopped her for dinner before a show at the Jungle Theater. They are right next door to each other so one parking spot and a short walk. Loved the entry with all the red flowers and art on the walls. We had reservations and were seated in a booth immediately. The high tops along the window looked like a great spot as well. I started with the house margarita which was beautiful and tasty. I ordered the burrito bowl with carnitas. Really good. Everything looked and tasted fresh. Guac on top was great. Nice sized portion as well. Loved it. Husband had the chimichanga which was also good. We love chips and salsa so we ordered that as an appetizer and, well, snacked on the chips the whole meal. They went great with the bowl. Service was good. It was a little odd that my bowl came out several minutes before the chimi but, hey, if it's done and it's hot, bring it. Great experience.

I've been here a couple times and both have been amazing! Their "Despechados" (brokenhearted) night on Fridays is a trip down memory lane for anybody who grew up listening to Latin Pop (Rock en español), DJ Chino does a wonderful job mixing all genres. The food is great and the drinks are superb! The bartenders are very attentive.

A friend and I popped in to Iconos for a mid-afternoon drink & snack. We were seated immediately, which was nice; the restaurant is pretty cute, with fun neons & decor. It was pretty hot inside, it felt like they'd opened a window or 2, but it wasn't enough to cool the whole place. Service was excellent; we were checked in on by multiple people & our order came out really quickly. I got a house margarita, my friend got a mocktail, & we split an order of guacamole; the prices were kind of outrageous ($16 for guacamole, around $16 for a margarita). It did taste like the ingredients were fresh, but there was so much extra stuff on the guac that I would've preferred they just gave us the guac itself & none of the extras, for half the price. All in all, I wouldn't say I'd be back, but it's worth a try.

Stopped here while bar hopping in uptown for my birthday.it was happy hour and I was surprised they were pretty empty (but it was a weekday). I ordered a cute drink that had cotton candy on it called LA BICHOTA. The drink was good but a bit pricey overall. We ordered a quesadilla w/ chicken and it was just okay. The overall aesthetic of this place is cute. Another place to grab drinks and take pics. Not sure I would go back.

A perfect venue for a large group birthday party ready for a good time! Ambiance (5/5) Cool Latin vibes in the artwork everywhere! Puts you in a party mood. Service (5/5) super attentive and friendly service the entire night. Drinks (4/5) Cocktails were boozy and delicious! My friend ordered a Surly Furious but the beer brought to her tasted like a nut ale. Stick to the cocktails here! Food (4/5). We ordered nachos libre and chose the birria meat. It was LARGE and delicious, but I wished the meat was a bit less chewy.

Girls night at Iconos didn't disappoint! Parking can be found in the back lot which was reasonable and side street if you come upon it. Ambiance 5/5 Photo worthy ambiance with fluorescent red lighting upon entering. Latin themed décor, spacious place with tables, booths and plenty of bar space. Lots of big screens with sports and what not. Our bar mate had access to the remote, watched Planet of the apps with no captions. lol Service 5/5 Victor and staff was great, they were attentive, funny, and provided great suggestions. Food/ Drinks 5/5 Be warned: The pour is long on the drinks! Elotes came in pairs to my surprise and a side of tajin for my liking. Expect sharable portions, strong tasty drinks, great patrons, music, and great service! The bone marrow was interesting taste and my friend did have some stomach rumblings after eating the Shrimp Ceviche: she suspects it might've been raw shrimps. Outside of that, she had a great time. Elotes $14 | Shrimp Ceviche $18 | Carne Asada $28 Drinks: Prince $13 | Al Coco No $16 | Mangonada $15 Overall 5/5 We had a time! lol

The food was great! The queso was delicious and it was thick and gooey. The birria taco was good and the cheese pull was on point. The beef steak taco with the bone marrow was delicious. The fajita was amazing! I love that it comes in different kinds of meat so you can really make your own fajita. The service was good. We got a big water jug. The vibe within the restaurant was nice. It was loud but not too loud, so having a conversation is still good.

First time at Iconos and the spot is very cool! Definitely gives instagramable and vibey but the food was also really good. We ordered the queso fundido to start and they even brought more chips for us to share. I got the chimichanga and it was huge! I have never had rice inside a chimi before but it was SO good. Th only reason I am giving 4 stars is because for the price of the drinks they should be bigger in my opinion. But the drinks are also REALLY good.

I am SHOCKED that this place doesn't have 7,000 five-star reviews. I cannot imagine a world in which someone eats here and doesn't give it five stars. I came here with three of my friends and all of us were mesmerized by how good the food was. So much so, that we would've gatekept it completely if it weren't for me and my little Yelp reviews! We ended up here on our way to a different cantina, but decided to stay because we liked the vibe. It was late, and they had the right mood lighting. We also figured that we couldn't go wrong with a cantina of any type. Turns out we were right. I ordered a Prince Margarita and "The Burger." The Margarita was good, but the Burger was great and don't even get me started on the fries. I realize that it's ridiculous how much I love potatoes, but it means I'm a connoisseur and I was drooling over the Iconos fries. They're a must have in my opinion. Our bartenders were friendly, the vibe was relaxing, the restaurant was beautiful, and the food was unreal. I'm not sure what else you could ask for. I seriously cannot wait to come back for brunch and a margarita flight.

(Last visited 4/16/2022.) Hanging out in Minneapolis for the weekend with some friends and YOU KNOW WE BRUNCH ON THE WEEKENDS! Lol. Here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: So we found this place right in Uptown on Lyndale. It's a "downtown" like setting so you'll have to find a spot on the street or a nearby structure to put your car. The outside isn't much to look at, but inside is VERY different. The interior feels modern, chic, up-to-date and it definitely has a Mexican flare. There are murals on the walls, big windows for lot of natural light and a beautifully decorated bar. The atmosphere was lively and whenever there was a birthday in the house they brought this adorable like, wooden house with churros and a sparkler. Just say it's your birthday so that you can experience this for yourself. Lol. Food: We are here for the bottomless mimosas! They come in carafes that you pour yourself. They were pretty good and not super-juicy like some places like to do. I honestly can't remember that I ordered and well, that may be indicative of me either drinking too much... or... the food wasn't memorable. Oh well. Lol. Value: It's a decent Mexican spot so things usually aren't too pricey. You don't need the big bucks, but you still have to pay to play, especially if you're drinking bottomless mimosas! In conclusion, despite the food not being memorable, this place was just fine. I wouldn't just pop up and crave coming here, but for brunch... DEFINITELY at the top of my list. Mexican food is like instant hangover recovery food so eating it WHILE drinking is like a cheat code! Lol.

It was iconic! From the time you walk in it just feels different....intentional. The decor is all icons. Now.lets get to the food. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp. Ba-bay! Those are amazing! Amazing! And I,also had the carne asada. Sublime! I also had the margarita flight....so delish! Service felt slow.but was super friendly. I would definitely go again!

There was an hour and 1/2 limit, but that was plenty of time for us to have a drink. I ordered the Me Espresso and my husband ordered the special of the day, which was a scotch with a special twist. We ordered the chicken that was on the menu and it was a very small piece of chicken and it was supposed to come with broccolini and there was three skinny little stalks, and there was some kind of purée underneath it. Not sure if that was potatoes or what, but the chicken had a very good flavor. It was just very small. That's my complaint on that so we ended up ordering the sweet potato fries and that was a good portion and very good. I would definitely order those again. Nightingale was packed, but fortunately, once two patrons saw my face from the bar, they quickly paid their bill and left. My face often compels people to vacate crowded establishments in Minneapolis, and we often find seats. After grabbing the two seats, we ordered wine and a wonderful Amaro-based cocktail. Jules was our bartender/server, and although he was crazy busy, he found time to be gracious to us. We ordered the meatball appetizer, halibut, and the Nightingale hamburger. My halibut was sublime, cooked perfectly, and it wasn't drowned in sauce. Bravo! The meatballs were tender and delicious, but the hamburger was not memorable. It was good, not great. Despite all the accolades above, when the bill came, I was charged two dollars after requesting a cucumber slice for my Pimms Cup. Perhaps the source of this pettiness came from the kitchen, but it wasn't smart, because the $2.00 charge placed a shroud over my experience. The bill was $125, and because of the petty two-buck charge, I only left a $25 tip. I was going to leave a $30 tip. I will sadly remember those 2 bucks forever. It was a myopic move and a passive-aggressive way to handle my request. In my birthplace home of NYC, a bartender would have said, "Getting a cucumber slice is a pain in the rear, would you mind skipping it?" My response, "Sure, it's not a big deal."

The mushroom bruschetta similarly underwhelmed - it felt like it was missing something to make it stand out. The bright spot? The drinks were solid and well-crafted. I wanted to rate this higher based on the atmosphere and service alone, but at the end of the day, the food has to deliver.
