This place is the best. When you hand your phone to a stranger you're trusting them quite a bit. These guys have been honest, fast, and have used quality components on all my repairs. No doubt. I know enough to be a pain in the ass if the person on the other side of the tech-support exchange knows less than I. I repair has only seen my sunny smile's and welcoming demeanor. Accept no substitute. These guys know what they are talking about, and care about the warranty they offer. I recently went to another vendor for some help and I wish I would've just waited until the morning. That experience has been a nightmare, cost a lot more money I've been there three times and her as of now my rear camera does not function properly and if they refuse to fix it. I was looking forward to my first visit here, after finally joining the shattered screen iPhone club just days prior, and while the service was fast & friendly, what I got back was far less helpful than it was described. I ended up having a battery replaced as well, as my 6s is old as shit & the victim of a million charge cycles, as well as a new charge port(a few weeks later). New screen, looks great, feels great. Doesn't track touches accurately and I'm always in suspense of when it will stop responding at all. New battery was what I was looking forward to the most, and while it certainly holds a charge much better than my old battery, I'm in limbo once the battery hits 32% no matter what I'm doing. Phone will drop into an initiated reset cycle until it hits 10% at which point it will boot up, and ultimately die seconds later. I'm told this is entirely my fault(_) New charge port was a later necessity as a rock got stuck in that port and made charging impossible. After booking an appointment downtown via the website, and working all Saturday, I raced downtown to have the port replaced, and was promptly told that while they did confirm the appointment(I wouldn't know, phone hit the reset loop & died) they didn't have any of the parts necessary to make the switch. The employee was kind enough to call over to the closest store on Broadway to see in they could hand me off, and I'm Miguel they had the part, however, when I got there, the store was empty and the employee at the Broadway branch told me it was super easy & that I'd be on my way in 30 minutes. 1:20 later, after closing hours, I received what I thought was a fully functioning, chargeable iphone. Once my phone came back from the depths of iRepair hell, it became clear that while it appeared alright, the employee failed to secure the haptic motor that controls vibration, and my once silent iPhone now sounded like a freight train passing through a sleepy town. Fuck everything about that. Final thoughts. Great idea, works in a pinch, but I'll never go there again, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know(or hate) read more

I would try a different repair place. We've dropped off several iPhones and iPads here, and their prices are always $10-20 more than other places. They claim it's because of the warranty they provide, but I'm not sure what they mean, since if I crack the screen a second time it's not like they're replacing it for free. I've constantly been frustrated by the quality of the repairs and by how long it takes. If it's a phone battery, that's fine, they usually do it while you wait and the price is the only downside. But for iPad repairs, it takes weeks and then when you get the iPad back, something else is wrong with it. With my son's iPad, they just gave us a new one because when they replaced his screen they broke the button on it and could not fix it. With my iPad, I had them replace a screen and when I got it back, the button didn't work, so I had to take it back and there's another week I have to wait. Another frustration is they never call when the device is ready. I have to pick up the phone and call them only to hear them say, yeah, it's been ready, come down anytime. That's not cool. So, my advice, try a different repair place. read more

However they did not inform me that Apples policy is to brick your phone if it is not touched by their ( Apple ) hands. So wile repaired it is now decretive and not even a good "iPod". So now google will get my monies for awhile. Treat their customers horribly! I have used this company at the Meridian location before to fix simple cracked screens for our phones this time I brought a laptop to Mitch to fix, he told me to price and time when it would be done which was 4 days I agreed and left it there. I went on vacation and 10 days later called and asked the status of my repair and she put me on hold at no time did I ever get a phone call to tell me there was a delay in my repair. I ended up waiting on hold for 10 minutes when I finally hung up. I tried to call back but no one answered, finally someone answered and she told me to hold again, but this time hung up on me. I thought that was odd and so I called again, no answer and again, no answer finally I received a phone call from the associate telling me that I was rude to keep calling. I was blown away that a company would call their customers of which they don't have time to check your order status, but to tell you that you're being rude for calling. So not only this customer service issue, my repair is is over 6 days late! That same day Mitch called me and proceeded to argue with me about things, and relayed to me that my order just slipped through the cracks and he was sorry. He then began to lay into me on how I treat people and laughing during our call and after saying he was going to fix my machine and what more did I want. When I finally understood that Mitch was saying he'd pay for my repair I gave them the benefit of the doubt, Mitch told me he forgot to order the new part and he would order it that Saturday. I then asked him when it would be done and he told me by Friday. I asked him what if it's not done by Friday, he then told me that won't happen and not to worry. So now it's the day before Friday and Mitch calls me before the store closes to tell me that the part he ordered on Saturday won't be here till Saturday, and that he forgot to check up on the part. I then proceeded to point out that it's the same situation as before of "things slipping through the cracks" and forgetting about orders. He then does the same thing that's done before and being extremely sarcastic on the phone, and then tells me after I talked with him about not understanding why they didn't follow up with the part or ask why they shipped it out so late Mitch begins to tell me that I'm not worth it as a customer and that he'll put my computer back and I can pick it up tomorrow. I am absolutely floored by the way this company or maybe it's just the Meridian location treats customers. Here's the issues I see - Lack of employees, normally only one employee is at each location, and with busy stores this is crazy - Lack of process to track orders, everything slips through the cracks - No one knows status of orders - No customer notification of repairs that are delayed - Complete lack of customer service skills and complete lack of care of how they treat customers - Skill set of repair knowledge or know how behind screen cracks is low I really wish I could say good things about this company, but they have lost all trust with me, after my interactions with Mitch of the Meridian store. My first Yelp review ever! Unfortunately motivated by a shop which, as evidenced here, can do well when the right parts and personnel are readily available, but otherwise goes completely off the rails. Here's my story... I submitted my daughter's iPod Touch 6th Gen to Idaho iRepair for a screen repair in early September. $100 seemed a bit steep but hey, I love my daughter and Idaho iRepair's super-slick Broad St location, and they advertise a quick turnaround. After a seemingly routine part order and a couple days wait, I returned to Idaho iRepair's super-convenient Broad St location and was told that they broke the camera during the repair. But the screen works! Well, my daughter loves her duck-lip selfies so I took the iPod with a promise (and work order) that the camera would be repaired, just give them at most a couple weeks to get the part in. Is this part taking a slow boat from China in the Fedex age? Whatever, it's a good exercise in patience for my daughter and besides, the screen works. Well, it worked for a while. It popped out of the frame and became nearly too glitchy to use, so a couple weeks after our first visit(s) we returned to the super-cool Broad street location to see if we could get both the screen and the camera fixed, in spite of not yet receiving the expected phone call for the camera repair. It went something like this: What? No camera yet? You don't know why? But you can set the screen again right now? What? You just made it worse? The screen is now ruined? And you don't have a replacement screen or camera available? But you'll get them expedited and give me a phone call as soon as they're in? I'm a pretty easy-going guy who understands that $h!t happens, so again I give them the benefit of the doubt. We take the broken iPod home, set it aside, and wait for some good news. Fast forward to the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (yes, nearly 3 months later) and my daughter asks about her iPod again. Huh, as typical, Dad totally forgot. Patient girl. Why hasn't Idaho iRepair called. We go see a movie, and since we're in the area, decide to stop by Idaho iRepair's super-hip Broad St location and check in. Well, the work order is still in their computer but the parts were transferred to their less-hip Village location in Meridian several weeks ago. Why didn't they call? The nice girl behind the counter shrugs. But she says they'll for sure get those parts shuttled over speedy-quick and get my daughter's iPod back good as new, just leave it and expect a phone call on black Friday with wonderful news that the repair is finally done! Ok, I say, happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. They did call back on black Friday... to tell me that they don't have the right camera. Huh. But they'll get the camera overnighted and have the repair done on Saturday! Okie dokie. Happy black Friday to you and yours, I guess. Well folks, it's now Tuesday. No phone call from them, my calls go unanswered, and I'm (somewhat) ashamed to say I finally lost my $h!t and left a salty message with them. As they're not returning my call, what's left to do but add my 1-star review to the pile. I'm $100 in the red, my daughter's broken iPod is held in captivity... Will they do what any good business would do and try to make it right? Stay tuned... Maybe I'll go see a movie and pop into their super-groovy Broad St location, and check in with the nice girl. I brought my iPad in to have the home button replaced a few weeks ago. When notified that the repair had been completed, I was told that there were some marks on the screen. When I came in to pick up the device, the employee working looked at it and said that the markings were due to the repair person not using a tool correctly. Then, I noticed that the screen wasn't glued down in one corner, and it wasn't centered on the device at all. The employee said that he thought this was ridiculous. He tried to glue it down while I was waiting, but about a week later, the screen isn't staying down in that corner. He did mention that he could get me a discounted rate on a new screen, even though the initial employee I dropped it off with said that if they messed anything up, they would replace it. I mentioned this, and was denied a replacement screen. I requested at least a discount to the initial repair, but was told that it wasn't possible. So now I've got a device that has more issues than what I initially came in with, a broken verbal agreement from an iRepair employee, and another one of your employees calling the repair "ridiculous" and admitting that a tool was used incorrectly. Long story short, I want my money back. Your "lifetime warranty" doesn't mean anything to me given that I don't trust that your employees can fix something without making the situation worse. As a side note, the new home button feels cheap, not nearly as positive of a click as the original. read more

I came in to get my phone repaired; service was fast, but the screen broke again (with no dropping or other issues) after about 3 weeks. I noticed that the frame wasn't really in great shape despite attempt to straighten it, and when I mentioned that to the employee fixing my phone, he stated that "it would be fine." As somebody who has repaired his own Iphones in the past, I unequivocally knew this would not be fine, and the stress induced in the glass due to the frame deformation led to the screen breaking. I called to ask for a replacement, and was told they would replace it for $80.00 I will never go there again. read more

I took my Macbook Pro in to iRepair to get my cracked screen replaced. I thought cheap, local, support the little guy instead of the Apple giant. Wow what a mistake. I got my computer back quick and it looked great. I took it back home, opened it up and the computer's kestrel tasks were at over 500% cpu usage, rendering the machine unusable and dangerously hot. So I took it back in and explained the problem. They were nice apologized, said they fixed it and gave it back. When I got home it was DOING THE EXACT SAME THING! Now I'm annoyed as I head in for my fourth trip to the store. Pick it up a day later (5th trip) and finally everything seems to be working right. I don't write a bad review or anything I know mistakes happen so I forgive and forget. Today I have a business meeting that has to be done via Skype. THE CAMERA DOESN'T WORK!!!! It's still under warranty and at this point I wan't to go pay Apple to fix iRepairs mistakes because I can't trust them. I'm a professional cinematographer and editor as well as a full time student. To quote Tom Cruise in Collateral, "You're messing with my work!" Then as you can see below the owner responds that it keeps happening and they can't fix it so go to Apple and get a new one? It's not the same thing that keeps happening. They fixed the one issue so obviously that was their mistake. And the computer works great, but the camera doesn't work. It's not an innate issue, first it was some memory issue that was a replacement problem, I know because they were able to fix it. The second issue is the camera, those are two separate things. The owner responds like I'm stupid and thinks it's the hard drive that's broken and needs replaced. Obviously they didn't connect the top half of my laptop right and that's why it doesn't work properly. Also if I need my whole laptop replaced, why are they giving me that diagnoses after going into their shop 6 times and paying them $636. I submitted my complaint to the BBC today, we will see what happens. "Jonathan. I went in on October 4th because my matte black iPhone 7plus' camera and flashlight weren't working, when the attendant Chase opened my phone, he broke the connectors that make your screen communicate with the phone, so they gave me a burner phone, they told me I would be getting a replacement, so i waited and kept my positive attitude, they called my and told me on seven different occasions on when my new phone would be in, I mistakenly dropped their phone in the river, so i went another week without my phone, and when i did get it it was a plain old silver one, Jeada gave terrible customer service and when kt was all said and done i had a price tag of 350$ !!, if you need a phone repair don't come here, theyre just gonna screw you over, send it to apple, they wont take as long and their nicer and cost less. worst business ive ever been to in my life read more

Pay them to break your device worse than it was before. All I wanted was for my iPod Touch's screen to be replaced - which they did - but that isn't all. The only problem with my iPod was its shattered screen but when I got it back from iRepair, neither of the cameras or my flashlight worked. Eventually, my front-facing camera magically started working again but no such luck with the main camera and flashlight. At first they offered to give me back my broken screen and refund my money. This obviously didn't address the cameras or flashlight so I declined and they said they would fix the cameras 'for free' just as they broke them 'for free.' They told me about two weeks ago they would get parts in to replace the camera and I still haven't heard from them. If this isn't a big enough nightmare, this all went down at the Broadway location which conveniently closed shortly after I discovered my iPod's cameras were defunct. Now my iPod has glitched into a permanent black screen and I cannot use it at all as of a few days ago. I used my iPod for at least a month after cracking the screen with no issues so I know that it is iRepair's fault. I regret giving their service a chance. There is a special place in hell for these people who charge you money to destroy your main source of music and communication. I could have saved money by sucking up a broken screen and just dealt with it. Now my iPod is completely unusable and $200 down the drain ($270ish if you include the 'repair' fee). Whether or not it was an accident, they have showed zero compassion/remorse for their actions. I would be surprised if they do anything at all to help. TL;DR They break devices worse than how they're brought in and then avoid talking to you when you call them out for it. read more

After having iRepair fix two cracked screens on iPhones quickly and at a decent price, I decided to take my iMac there for repair of what was suggested might be a video card issue. I took it in the morning of either Tuesday or Wednesday April 18th or 19th and was told they would run diagnostics to make sure there were no other issues besides the video card, and then I would have it back later that afternoon. After several hours and no phone call, I finally called since it was my computer I used to work from home taking calls. I was then told that diagnostics were still running and that it would be the next morning that it would be finished and they would know more. After not receiving a call the next morning, I called again to be told that diagnostics were still running but that the hard drive had been "rebuilt." When I asked if that meant it was actually rebuilt, it was explained that some programs were run and whatever showed up as needing fixed was fixed. When I asked when I would have it back I was then told it needed to sit there to make sure the issue wasn't occurring still, which so far it hadn't. After another call the NEXT morning, I was told it was still sitting there and hadn't had the original issue any longer so I could come get it. No phone call from them letting me know my WORK computer was ready. It worked for about a day and then started having the same issue with the display glitching and rebooting once I returned from out of town on Monday evening, so I took it in right when they opened Tuesday morning, April 25th. I was then told that they needed to run diagnostics again and make sure it was the video card but that they would get the video card ordered anyway. The repair was estimated to take 4-5 days, including time to receive the ordered part as well as repairs, and I should have it back by the following Monday at the LATEST. Monday rolls around and I don't receive a call so late afternoon (probably 5 pm or so), I finally call them AGAIN. I was then told that they JUST got the part in and would now be installing. Once again, no phone call to let me know that I won't have it back on Monday as expected, but will have it the next day. Tuesday rolls around and again, no phone call so later in the evening again, giving them time to do what they need to do, I call and am told that this time they didn't have the thermal paste they needed to install the part so were waiting on that. They didn't bother to call again knowing it would be at LEAST another day before I had my computer back and am unable to work from home at this point STILL. I am more than patient by this time and when I call back the next day, on Wednesday, express politely that I am more than frustrated as I didn't receive one single call to let me know what was going on or that I wouldn't have my computer as promised on Monday, let alone Wednesday. The response what that "well this is truly an anomaly. It's not how our repairs typically go but we can't keep every single customer informed of every little update." I replied by stating that if indeed, my situation is an anomaly, it should have been a very easy thing to do to keep me informed. Finally on Thursday, now the new expected day of pick-up, they actually called me to tell me that they went ahead and already ordered another video card and just installed it because the first one was defective. He told me that they were just waiting for the thermal paste to dry and would then put it back together, but in the meantime would get my info transferred to a loaner iMac so I could actually work. The transfer depending on how much data I had, should only take a 1 1/2 hours, 2 at the most. This was at 11 a.m. that we spoke. After 3 hours and still no phone call from them, I called again and was told the thermal paste was still drying. Finally at 7 pm, an hour before they close, I called AGAIN to find out the status and the date transfer, which began at 11 am, was still not complete. I was told that they had a staff meeting that night and if it finished by then, which would be over around 10 pm, he would give me a call so he could get my computer to me since he "felt awful" it had taken so long. No call. Friday morning I missed a call and called back. It took another 2 hours before my phone call was returned, at which point i was told that there must be some other issue going on besides the video card because they had now installed two new video cards, neither of which worked, and I should just take it to the Apple store because it was obviously beyond their scope. Needless to say, I was not pleased and more than frustrated. While they were very NICE and apologetic, nice doesn't repair anything and communication/customer service was non--existent. Consequently, Apple will have my iMac back to me tomorrow after just 4 days. read more

I'm all for supporting local companies, but not at the expense of overcharging by adding a 600+% markup. I took my 4S here to get the screen repaired. They gave me the phone back and the power button barely even works now. They did nothing to remedy the issue, and told me I would have to pay an additional $40 to repair the power button on top of the $70 I already paid. I was visiting from out of town and needed to get my MacBook Pro glass replaced. I took it in at 9 am and by 10:30, I received a call saying it was fixed - GREAT! As I was leaving after I picked it up, the man working at the counter said something to the effect of "If the new glass starts to come off, you've got a 90 day warranty so just bring it in and we will fix it." I remember thinking that was sort of a weird and foreboding thing to say but brushed it off. A week later? THE DAMN GLASS FELL OFF. I am feeling frustrated with the Meridian location this week. My husband and I were looking for an ipad to use so we could facetime our sick family member. Monday evening we went in and found a used Ipad mini and took it home only to find out the sound didn't work. We tried many attempts to fix it with no avail. I took it back the next morning with the response of "so sorry, everything is usually thoroughly checked before being put out on the floor." He then offered me another Ipad mini which I then took home. Within an hour I took that one back as well because the front camera didn't work at all. They immediately told me there was one in their Boise store and offered to bring it to the Meridian store for pick up the next day. Never received a call for pick up the next day so I called the store an hour before closing. The response I received is frustrating. They received the other Ipad mini but there were problems with it so they decided to fix one of the three but it wouldn't be done for another day. Not sure why they couldn't have the decency to call me when they realized it wouldn't be ready for pick up. I am still waiting for the Ipad mini so we can facetime this family member before they pass away. 3 days wasted and counting. We have used Irepair several times but starting to doubt their service. read more

All i can say is avoid this place at all costs. I went in Christmas Eve to get my screen replaced. About an hour after picking up my phone my power button stopped working, still clicks its just the connection. Then about three more hours my charge port stops working. So as I'm about to go into the store Friday just two days later i notice a little hair line crack and the phone had never been dropped. As i come in he immediately takes it apart and says nope your whole phone is toast. (But it was just working.) Anyways he fidgets with it then says my charge port in fine that will be 60 bucks for a power button that used to work fine. So i say ok what ever and leave. Now my charge port cuts in and out and once again more cracks on my screen. Bottom line they have low quality parts, use magnetic screwdrivers (not ok), and even if they know it was them which i know they do they still proceed to try and charge you. Bottom line go elsewhere it may be close to BSU but you will regret it. read more

Absolutely disgusted! I went in to get my Samsung Galaxy S3 repaired. They had to order the part which was reasonable, it got here in 5 days which was fairly quick in my opinion. I dropped the phone off to get repaired it was done a few hours later which was still fairly quick in my opinion. How ever when I turned the phone on and check everything I see my blue tooth log had shown pictures transferred to another phone! When I stated something to them. They kept just playing it off like nothing happened! I look at my pictures in my phone and it was pictures of my wife! I am beyond disgusted with the company! It was a young man named Victor who I had dealt with. I assure you I will never come back to this place and I will not let this happen to any one I know.
