I HAD liked this company until they started using an AI assistant to start answering the phone calls. I have to had a premed for my dentist appointment, per my orthopedic surgeon, and I tried explaining each of FOUR times that I called in before my appointments. So, after calling this many times, without any callback whatsoever, I am giving up on this company! Do not use them. They don't call you back. This place is a joke and HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! They push crowns like crazy when not necessary. Went in for a cleaning but never received one. Instead, it was a bunch of X-rays only to say a crown on all 32 teeth was necessary/an emergency for a grand total of $32,000! And they wouldn't do a cleaning until committing to at least "the one crown that was an EMERGENCY". It was a 2.5 hour waste of time for them to come up with a $32K "treatment plan of crowns on all teeth". I've had better experiences buying a car! Got a second opinion to learn one crown is needed but not an emergency at all and a full mouth of crowns would look awful. read more

I have 2 forms of insurance, and they still wanted $500 out of pocket. I arrived and immediately they wanted to take my photo I said, "No, I took off work today, and haven't done my hair or makeup". She snapped the photo anyway. I again asked that I not be photographed and the Hygienist claimed that they have "a lot of Dental fraud" and they needed to verify my identity. What happened to showing 2 forms of ID? The Medical doctor's office has never done this, nor any other Dentist I've visited in 45 years. I am doubly insured for Dental and have United Concordia & Aetna. The Hygienist insisted after my panoramic X-Ray they they also needed bite wigs, and I told her my insurance company explicitly explained that they only cover one, or the other in a year visit. After I signed a waiver to NOT agree to bite wings- the dentist came I'm and said that he needed the bite wings, and they did it anyway. THEN after taking photos of my teeth the Hygienist decided I needed a "deep cleaning"..NOT cover by insurance!!! The Office manager came in with a price sheet, and it was going to be an additional $500 OUT of POCKET! I was incredulous. I came here for a routine cleaning, and told her my scale build up was no worse than usual. I told her I took the day off work to get a cleaning, and I only wanted what insurance will cover. She didn't even start to clean my teeth. I asked for choices and the office manager said that once the Hygienist determined I needed a "deep cleaning"- NOT cover by insurance -that it would be going against her medical practice decision, and refused to scale my teeth!!!!!!!!!!! I left telling the manger that I would go home and scale them Myself! Then I called the insurance company, and asked they be blackballed for price gouging. Seriously, I have been going to the dentist since age 5, and normally the Hygienist would clean my teeth, and then the Dentist comes in to do an exam, I would think after first scaling and found inadequate would then recommend any deep cleaning, and that didn't happen. I told her that in the past the Hygienist would use ultrasound and and scale behind my bottom front teeth came Right off, could I please get that cleaning? (because it was cover by insurance). The Hygienist refused and said it was her professional opinion and refused to clean my teeth without the deep fletsche recommended. My mistake was saying at the beginning of the visit that I moved, and it was probably a year since my last cleaning, and saw dollar signs. Now that I think about it,since They didn't offer any antibiotic mouthwash solution for any gum disease or oral antibiotics so ethically did I actually have any gum disease? I doubt it. I don't have any bleeding gums or any oral pain whatsoever. RUN away. I think she should be reported to the Texas Board of Licensure for not helping her patient in a customary manner. The dentist backed up the Hygienist. As I was leaving again I asked for just a regular cleaning, and they refused repeatedly. I left quite upset and shaking. Never in my life been "Handled" like that. High pressure sales tactics. I believe I have patient rights and they violated mine at least 2-3 x with the photo, (after I had refused) , refusing the additional bite wing X-rays and had signed the waiver, and not providing customary care of a cleaning. Delaying my Dental care normally covered by insurance. Do Not Go to this office. read more

I recently moved to the area, and called several different dental offices before finding Teasley Center Dental. The office staff made it externally simple to book my appointment (other facilities failed to call me back.) Additionally, by the time I walked in to the office the staff had already processed my insurance and were upfront about what was covered by my policy. Overall I had a great experience, highly recommended. read more

Two worse things a business can be: incompetent and dishonest. This was our experience here. After two hours of waiting around, they wanted to charge $700 for a "deep cleaning" vice a "cleaning" that was covered 100% by our insurance. Trying to gouge both the insurance company and the customer does not make for a good experience. Find somewhere else. read more

I had a last minute appointment - a 17 year old filling fell out. Long story, but they took me the next day. I had horrific anxiety about dentists, but they did everything to help me calm down and when Dr. Johnson did my root canal, they let me blast music, and when I started getting anxious again, he asked about my kids, which took my mind off of it. He went personal and connected. On a different note, I've never met an ENTIRE office staff that was so nice! They let me ramble and freak out, and that somehow kept me grounded. And his dental assistant was AMAZING! I am horrible with names, I want to say Christina... she was so forgiving and understanding. She saved me through this process! Honestly, I'm terms of quality of dental care- ideal is great. Never takes very long and my teeth are cleaner after I go. But bed side manner is a thing. I take myself to get adjustments every 6 weeks. I feel like some of the hygienists and orthodontists are genuinely annoyed when I broke a bracket or a wire or have a cavity. Maybe refrain from sighing and shaking your head so much. P.S. Jodi is great. Never let her go. read more

I would never come to this dentist Company. They're liars and do not stand by their work. I had a crown put on and with in less than a year it fell off and they said that I would have to charge me full price to put a whole new crown on. Read this post in a tone of effusive gushing: We had a dental emergency with my son and our regular dentist couldn't get us in. I started calling around and one place wanted to charge an arm, leg, and kidney for a straightforward, in and out procedure. I called Teasley Center Dental next and they could get us in same day (on a Saturday!) and cut us a sweet deal. We arrived for the appointment. The office is clean and welcoming. Great atmosphere and well kept. We checked in and after a short wait went back to get the work done. Leticia did a fantastic job. Incredibly professional and made sure to explain everything in a warm, caring manner. Lo and behold the work was quite bite more involved than anticipated. Leticia rolled with it and took care of my son. I full expected to have a large bill due to the amount of work required. Nope, they stuck to the same sweet deal despite it being more work. After a truly awful week with multiple emergencies, this kindness is more than I could have hoped for. I'm really tearing up as I type this. Adding in their kindness, professionalism, cleanliness, it goes beyond saying how very much I appreciate them. You won't be sorry if you choose this office for your dental needs. Dr. Mustafa completed my exam and cleaning, she is knowledgeable and such a passionate Dentist. She presented my treatment plan and explained everything for me to easily understand. They overbook their appointments so when they numb you and you've been waiting for two hours go figure it wears off. Then they tell you that you may need to go somewhere else for your root canal. Don't go here if you want the care and attention needed for your dental work. I've taken off three times for this and still no resolution. Take heed in my warning-DO NOT go here for ortho. No in house orthodontist, comes once a month and you must schedule months in advance and even then you will get an incredibly inconvenient appointment for a school aged kid. Used to be once a week, and even then that's ridiculous when brackets and wires pop out and you can't get them repaired because no one is there to get you in and your kid walks around with their mouth getting cut. They change orthodontists frequently. The new one will give you a completely new timeline and plan. So basically, you will never know or be finished with treatment while they continue to bill insurance for years despite the initial treatment contract. Treatment is approx double-triple the time you are told when they have you sign. They don't do whitening after braces are removed like 99% of other offices offer. When they owe you money, they will tell you it will be months to receive your refund "because of Covid". Go to one of hundreds other places with competent staff and a competent orthodontist. read more

I am 65 years old and in years ago went to UCLA dental school for two years. I worked for a dentist for the second year and decided I didn't want to be a dentist. I have been to many dentists in my life but I have to say Dr. Parvez at the Denton Teasley location is the best dentist I have ever been to. I had two crowns prepped without novocane and did not feel a thing. She is great. I also want to compliment the office manager, the hygienist and the entire staff. Best Dental office I have ever been to. Had to go in to get X-Rays for my wisdom teeth and I needed to get them removed very quickly. Lee was able to get me scheduled the next morning at an office really close which was AMAZING! Gilbert also was extremely helpful and nice when bringing me back and taking the x-rays. I have been going here for years and have watched staff come and go. The female (CeCe) who answers the phone is extremely rude and unprofessional. I created my yelp account to just place this review. I had a very unpleasant experience with Ideal Dental in terms of billing. Long story short there was a lot of back and forth with Ideal Dental, my insurance provider, and I. The first instance, Ideal Dental failed to communicate with my insurance provider about the x rays and documents for them to process my claim. The second instance, Ideal Dental failed to file an appeal when they said they would, more than a month ago. Now Ideal Dental has sent my remaining balance to a debt collection agency. I don't usually complain but this is one of the worst experiences I had with a dental office. Ideal Dental is filled with incompetence and greed. STAY AWAY. read more

I absolutely LOVE my dentist, her assistant Vickie (not sure of the spelling), and all the other staff members I have had the pleasure to meet since I started going here for my dental work. When I first went to the office, I had quite a few problems with some of my front teeth, and hated smiling. In addition, I have an extreme fear of dental work. Dr. Parvez and Vickie provided nitrous oxide during each visit, and did everything they could to make me comfortable. Dr. Parvez (and Vickie) just recently completed a bridge for me, and I think it looks GREAT! Additionally, Dr. Parvez called me two different times to check on me to make sure I was doing well. (My former Dentist NEVER called me, and I was with him for well over 10 years). I will most definitely continue going to Dr. Parvez for additional work I may need to have done in the future. My experience at this facility was awful. The initial orthodontist never introduced himself and glossed over my care completely. I had to bring to his attention that the Invisalign trays were not working. He did not notice. I had to go from tray 19 back to tray 5. But, that did not work. So, I had to start all over with new impressions and new trays. But, this process using Invisalign did not work either, which I had to bring to the orthodontist's attention again. Then, they tried to give me old trays from the original impressions. They never ordered new trays. So, 2 years later, I was then to have wire braces placed. In the room, I was approached 3 times by 3 separate dental assistants asking "You are getting Invisalign right?". I said no 3 times. "I am getting wire braces." Then, I was asked "Do you need impressions?" That is not my call. I responded, "I don't know do I?" The response was "This is my first time in this office" which I heard at EACH and EVERY visit from one of the dental assistants. I finally just walked out. The front office is great. But, once you transition from the office to the chair, the entire visit changes. It becomes very clear that no one really knows what is going on. You are just a number sitting in that chair. The entire process is fraught with error. The focus in that building is Quantity, NOT QUALITY. Over 2 years into the process and my teeth are a mess. Please do not come to this office. I brought my daughter here to have her wisdom teeth removed 1/2017. Now we are about to go in for major surgery to try and fix what this office did to her. They have no concern for their patients and will promise to fix it but never do. Just one lie after another. My daughter began attending UNT and transferred from Ideal in Dallas to Ideal Teasley. I was initially impressed - the staff was polite, the office well set-up. She had numerous issues requiring regular care, special care for some teeth that were causing pain, orthodontia, and finally gum disease. We ALWAYS had to wait well past our appointment time to see the doctors, even if we were taken back on time. One day she spent TWO HOURS in intense pain, crying, before the doctor finally saw her. She diagnosed a probable nerve issue in the problem teeth, then left to do something. Another 15 min of my 22-yr-old crying, I went to the Front Desk and said I wanted a RX for pain, that I'd leave immediately to get it filled and bring it back to my daughter. She'd been there almost 2-1/2 hrs by then, crying all the while. Nitrous oxide wasn't available because you have to request it in advance and they only had ONE cannister. What stupidity. I've used NO for years, and my dentist had one in every treatment room. They told me they'd get the RX, and 10 min later brought it to me. I didn't look at it and rushed to CVS. 15 min later I got the RX and asked what it was. Ibuprofen, 6 or 800 mg, I don't remember. I flipped out. Went back to Ideal, shaking, and demanded that I be allowed to see the doctor immediately. I paced their lobby for another 15 minutes before I was taken back to talk to the doctor. She was a woman, it's unfortunate that I still don't know her name. I told her that I was well aware that an opiod epidemic was underway in the U.S., but we were not part of the problem and my daughter was in PAIN. I wanted Tylenol with codeine, or something with codeine, that would quickly relieve the pain. She said dentists weren't allowed to prescribe it any more, that it was "contraindicated" or something like that for dental work. Nonsense, I said. I was 62 yrs old and had been given codeine for YEARS for dental pain. She said Ibuprofen was for the nerve swelling that was causing the pain. How long for that swelling to go down, I asked. 3-4 days. Not okay. My kid needed immediate relief and I refused to let her be subjected to serious pain until the Ibuprofen did its job. She relented and wrote a script for TWO #3 (I think) pills. TWO, each lasting 4-6 hrs. I was furious, but filled the script and took her home. Very upset over my still-crying child, I called the manager & asked for the doctor's name & license #, that I was going to file a complaint. She gave me her name, but nothing else. I was crying hard by then and asked if she was a parent. Yes, she said, so she understood my frustration. I asked what to do in 8-12 hours, when it would be the middle of the night, if the pain hit my daughter again. And, I asked, did the doctor really think her pain would go away after that time? She sympathized, gave me her personal #, and said to call w/problems. Fortunately, my kid made it through the night. She went through another day of bad pain, the next day was less, then it subsided into a dull, "livable" pain. The doctor had told her she had gum recession problems, and that she needed to see a periodontist. Unfortunately, we made an appointment with IDEAL's periodontist who travels from office to office, spent $6500 out of pocket for surgery, and it was a disaster. Will write a review about that doctor later. My daughter had been put on Invisalign braces a year ago; this ortho said they weren't working and put her on regular braces, which were less expensive and for which I was due a refund. I'd get it in 3-4 wks, I was told. THREE to FOUR weeks. I was in a desperate financial situation due to my daughter's medical bills, and called the next week, begging them to speed up the process. I was told on a Friday that the check would be cut on Monday and overnighted to me on Tuesday. Didn't get it. Called them back, they said they'd process a funds transfer directly to my bank account. That took FOUR DAYS to happen. Everything there has caused me and my daughter serious stress, and we both suffer from mental illness, which was exacerbated by our continual problems with Ideal. They have fancy equipment, but their doctors are awful. All they care about is money. read more
