I came in yesterday for a procedure that I was actually pretty nervous about. I scheduled a consultation in early December and had a really great first impression from the staff up front as well as the ladies that helped me with my actual consultation. I went ahead and scheduled to have the procedure done and due to unforeseen circumstances had to reschedule my original appointment. They were very understanding and happy to reschedule me! When I came in yesterday, I was greeted promptly and the staff was super friendly. I waited just a short period of time and then was lead to the back by Jeanie, my new favorite nurse! There was some confusion with my actual appointment needs, but the staff worked quickly to get everything resolved so that I could begin the procedure. Jeanie was amazing and helped me to feel at ease in a situation that normally would have left me feeling very vulnerable and uncomfortable. She was easy to talk to and explained everything that she was doing in great detail which helped ease some anxiety. When I was rescheduling my follow-up appointment, the staff at the front was still just as friendly and happy as when I came in 3 hours earlier! The customer service here is terrible!! Don't go unless you are wanting to be lied to and ripped off. I purchased a gift card for my mom to Ideal Image. I informed the lady that my Mom's hair is nearly all gray. She told me that after her consolation if she was unable to have the procedure done due to lack of pigment in her hair she would refund the money. When my mom found out that she can't have the laser hair removal done they refused to refund the money. The lady said it was not their policy, although she told me she would note it on my mom's account that a refund was available if needed. She even had the nerve to say, "why are you upset it's not like it's real money"!! That is not how I like to be treated as a customer and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an appointment and waited and waited. After 35 minutes I was given an update and told there were some technical issues... My problem is waiting for 35 minutes before being told that. I'm sure those issues were known and should have been communicated. As I was leaving the staff tried to offer gifts for waiting but time is much more valuable and I'm not accepting gifts for waiting. I should have gone off all of the previous reviews and stayed away. I have not even had the chance to use this business and won't ever. My mom went last week to buy me a gift certificate, which they don' t have. They were very "used car salesman" type of attitude. The girl at the front desk was rude, and made my mom feel like she was less than welcome. I did not know you had to look and act like a Hollywood star to get star treatment. This business is not a place I want my mom to give her money. I went into this place for a consultation after hearing on the radio that they were offering 65% off lazer hair removal. For bikini area they quoted me over 2,000$ (with the 65% off) and told me that I could go to any location. After moving I tried to schedule an appointment at another location and they told me I wasn't able to. Other places for the same service are a fourth of the "discounted price" as well as only being able to go to this one location (I live out of town) I arrive to my appointment to be told that my provider can't make it and I have to wait 45- 1 hr for my appointment. read more

I have been meaning to write a review about my experience with Ideal Image! I will say I am really surprised about the negative reviews. My experience with this location has been great! I have done the laser hair removal and coolsculpting with Ideal Image and want to do more services because I am so pleased with my results! I have done laser treatments with a different company and my results were okay. I was a little hesitate to try laser hair removal with Ideal Image because of the results at the last place. First and foremost, laser hair removal is not for everyone. A consultation will let you know how successful your results will be. I have nothing but good things to say about ideal image and this location. I have done my underarms, bikini and face with Ideal Image and have had amazing results with no regrowth. Does it feel good?....no but it is super quick and the results are worth the uncomfortable seconds maybe minutes you have to endure. I find the front desk at this location to be VERY friendly and professional. The the nurses who perform the procedures make you feel sooooo comfortable. Not only will they not return your 3 phone calls and fail to keep appts, the office manager, Denise McIntyre, might think it's more important to meet the locksmith at her apt than you. Icing on the cake is their estimate of $8586 for 9 treatments of legs-only laser hair removal (kindly financed by their bank at 22.4%t). Long backstory short, my husband purchased a $325 gift certificate (recco by 96.7 Bobby Bone's show), which turned out to be only ONE THIRD the price of the FIRST treatment. After said rigmarole we were told the g.c. was absolutely non-refundable "as stated on the back". It finally took 2 weeks of escalation to the VP to get our money back. I've since found a great deal on Group-on for, $99/3 treatments (only 6 suggested). Ok, my bad for not trusting yelp in the first place...never again! read more

I have had nothing but awesome results. I did my whole body and I do not shave anymore, I do still have strays but i leave those so they can laser them when I go back. I have dark skin and dark hair. I did all of my body for 12 treatments and some guarantee that if I do grow hair they will treat for a discount price, the total was 12,000.00 I don't know why they don't tell you the prices up front, but for me the results have been worth it. I have never skipped an appointment it's a lot of money and I do everything they tell me to do to the T; NO SUN Don't MISS YOUR APPOINTMENTS Pain bad, on a scale 1 to 10 it's a 8 At first it's not so bad but towards the end it gets up there and that is tricky cause you have to stay still so they can get be efficient, if not they will miss spots. It does not feel like waxing or plucking!!!!!! It's like a rubber band and some places hurt way more than others. I take a pain reliever before I go, and I can still feel some pain, NOT an 8 maybe a 3 with a pain reliever. I had to stop treatments almost towards the end because I became pregnant and stopped for a year but have picked right back up, with no problem from Ideal Image. I have known lots of friends that have went other places for so much less and not great results, the hair came back fine at first but went back to how it was before treatment. SCAM! Gave me scars just before my tahiti wedding! Been going for over a year and under arm hair (dark hair on light skin) still abundant. $4k treatment with a "guarantee" that means NOTHING. They won't refund ANY money. they won't give extra tratements unless you pay $150 per treatment which is way more than other places charge for sevral treatments. Ideal Image is a RIP OFF. Those that say they are happy after the first treatment don't realize the hair comes back after a month! My undearms are only 5% better than before I started. The assured me the laser would work because it's dark hair on light skin. The GUARANTEED IT WOULD WORK but their guarantee is worthless. I've emailed and called and complained and went to the corporate office and they told me there's nothing they can do. AVOID this company. SCAM customer service is the WORST EVER. If you don't believe me talk to me before you sign up with them. I'll show you pictures and share my horrible experience with you! Like multiple other people said, this place is a complete scam. I have had laser treatment at several other places. I will say I like their laser. That is the only good thing I can say about Ideal Laser. To begin with, their prices are absolutely and astronomically ridiculous. Don't even think about having your hair removal done here because there are far, far more reasonably priced places to have just as successful laser hair removal. I thought to myself that it would be convenient to get to them from my house, and thus it might be worth it to pay that amount of money. But after the first consultation, they will not return your calls or be accessible to you. Their main consultant will completely kiss your rear end during your consultation. Then, you will get bad customer service from there on out. They will not be transparent or straight with you about the price or how they will bill you. Part of the ridiculous price includes a completely bogus Scype visit with a nurse practitioner. If you need clearance from a medical provider in order to get whatever treatment you need, then you should be seeing that provider in person in an actual medical office. d Dysport injections to my forehead at the North Austin Clinic done by Pauline which cause a pytosis to my right eyelid 7-8 days after the injections. My eyelid was sitting on my lash line and, felt heavy. I called the North Austin Location spoke to Lee who asked me to come in so she could evaluate the pytosis. Pictures were taken and, she agreed that there was indeed a pytosis which is caused by the Dysport being injected too low in the forehead. . Lee reviewed my paper chart with me that had Pauline's documented areas of injections which was right at the brow line . She said that she would show the pics to her the Manager who's name is April and, they would come up with an intervention to correct the issue this was on 8/8/18. On 8/9/18 as promised Lee called back with a plan of correction asking me to travel to the South Austin Ideal Image to see JC or, Sara as they were the most experienced injector's. I called the North Austin location asking to speck to Lee but, Crystal who is the Lead RN who travels out of state to train at several Ideal Image locations. She also, does Ultherapy as she performed my procedure and, I'm sure the list of the procedures she performs goes on and, on. Crystal's demeanor was condescending and, a little on the angry side. I told her it was not my responsibility to drive to the South Austin location to see JC or, Sara as they should be coming to the North Austin location to correct Pauline's mistake. She made me aware that she was at the North Austin Location to see me now keep in mind I called the Clinic at 12:30 if Crystal was indeed there to see me she would had called me at 0800 to make me aware of here intentions? What she wanted to do was to take more photo's but, I told her I was just there on 8/8/18 and, pictures were taken then. Her response was " your eyes not closed shut" Now we are both nurses as I reminded her that pytosis happens at varying degree's . Her next comment was "I WILL NOT DEBATE THIS WITH YOU" !!! She made me an appointment for Saturday at 8:30 a.m as I walked back to my desk I realize she just talked to me as thought I were one of her children . You're completely right Crystal this was not a debate this was a patient /client that was made to look like she had Bells' but, Crystal stated there was little chance for correction. I was told by lee that this could be corrected but, per Crystal he response there was little chance of correction. I called Crystal back and, I wanted the name of the Dr. name and, number who over see's the operations of Ideal Image and, name and, number of the Accrediting Board for Ideal Image. She told me she couldn't give the numbers out, I said fine what are their names. Dr. Buchanan is the MD that over see's Ideal Image and, that Renee Barnett was the Regional Manager I told Crystal that I wanted a call form either Dr. Buchanan or, Renee Burnett as I was appalled by Crystal's treatment of me. She then said to me " I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DISCUSSING DR. BUCHANAN OR , MY REGIONAL MANAGER WITH YOU. I said to her how could you work for a company when you feel uncomfortable specking about it's leadership right then and, there I had not more trust for Ideal Imagine or, respect for my fellow Nurse Crystal within seconds of her statement She quickly transferred me to April the Manager who just so happened to have Laryngitis and, couldn't take LOL. I then made April aware that I wanted to speak to Dr. Buchanan or, Renee Burnett that night. Guess what I received no call from either Dr. Buchanan nor, Renee Burnett leaving me to believe there is no Dr. or, Regional Director affiliated with Ideal Image. Kathy Paterson. read more

I went in for a free consultation and Jackie was very nice, a person came in to make sure I was a candidate. She printed out what it cost to do 2 sessions and to do 1 session. I decided to do the 1 session because I didn't want to commit to 2 if I felt it didn't work for me. I didn't have my credit card with me so i was going to come back the next day to pay half. Later that day Jackie called me stating that the cost she quoted and printed out for one session is now the number she gave me for 2 sessions. So basically they called me to tell me that the price for the first session doubled in price in the span of a few hours. Regardless if it was a miscommunication between them, they should have honored the price they quoted me but now after reading most of these reviews, I don't want to go there so I guess I dodged a bullet. read more

Just as many reviews below, I too feel scammed by this company. I contracted for underarms, legs and bikini area which was very expensive. After 2 years of treatment not being able to perform many of the outdoor activities which I love because you can not have sun to the treatment areas, I still have to shave. The nurses continued to tell me that I had excellent results so I feel sorry for those who paid extreme prices with less results. I was told I could come back for maintenance treatments if necessary but of course that will cost extra and no sun once again. The only positive has been my underarms which I have not had to shave, but not confident that this will not change. The staff was super nice and accommodating but the results are horrific. When I called ideal image to schedule my consultation appointment I was pleased when the girl I was talking to answered all of my questions and didn't mind that I kept her on the line for about 30 mins. Then when I went to my consultation Natalie, the consulation manager was very friendly and professional. Even thought we were disscusing an touchy subject in my life she made me feel comfortable. She was very knowledgable about their lasers and she helped me with the financing. When I showed up for my actual appoinent my nurse was awesome. She talked me through the whole appointment and made me feel at very comfortable. The laser they used was amazing. I've had laser treatments before and they were painful but the laser that ideal image uses shoots a puff of cool air when the laser is fired and it's quiet comfortable. My only issue is the front desk. The lady wasn't very nice and she seemed put out when I was scheduling my next appointment. Other than that I'm very pleased with this company. read more

I just had my 5th treatment done on 3 separate areas and am very pleased with the results so far. Of course it is painful, of course it is expensive, and people - you have to be patient with the results, that's why the whole process takes 2 years. But in the end, it works! I have had considerable "shedding" as they call it and the regrowth is substantially less than when I first started. I have referred 2 people there and they have been very happy with their results as well. While it is inconvenient that you can't have any sun exposure, I was warned from the sales person beforehand so knew what I was getting into. I thought they where great. A nurse practitioner did my first treatment, she graduated from UofL and was very professional. She explained to stay out of the sun during treatment. Prices where high but spot treatments are available for life at a reasonable price of 30.00 if the hair comes back. It did hurt some but worth it. So far my hair hasn't come back but I did everything right from exfoliating to not even shaving until the hair is gone. The trick is to do this in the winter or off season if you can. I went to ideal image because I have had so much success with them from laser hair removal. I did like the facility so i started to look into their cool sculpting options. I went to the consultation and was told I WOULD WITHOUT A DOUBT LOSE INCHES in the area i had the procedure on, which was my entire mid section side and portions of my back. I followed up as needed and even dieted for x amount of weeks after 8 weeks i still had NO RESULTS NOTHING ZERO! I paid almost $5000.00 dollars for this procedure. I was very upset and at this point extremely depressed to have just thrown all my money down the drain for NO results. I contacted ideal image after about X weeks and was told I would have to contact the credit agency so I did so. I sent in letters of dispute in the timely manner they asked after about X weeks I was told ideal image did not respond to their requests, nor did they respond to my email. So there was nothing that could be done and I was obligated to the entire amount.I will never go back to ideal image they basically stole my money from me. There has been nothing but frustrating so far with Ideal Image and I haven't even had my first appointment yet. So this is more in response to their customer service and lack of disclosure. My husband wanted to give me a gift certificate for laser hair removal for Christmas but he wanted me to have the option to go where I wanted and do a little research so he called Ideal Image and got pricing and gave them my information. A few days after Christmas I went in and talked to them and learned that you couldn't do it while pregnant. My husband and I talked and since we are trying to get pregnant it didn't make sense to spend 1500$ on something we possibly couldn't use for a year and a half. (They first said you couldn't do it while nursing as well but have since changed their story). That's when we learned that they went ahead and signed my husband up for the financing and charged the amount before Christmas and we could not cancel. When I complained about this the person responded saying that "Hopefully you won't get pregnant for a few months and can get a few sessions in." Considering the difficulties we have had it really rubbed me the wrong way that she was hoping that we didn't get pregnant in pursuit of a cosmetic procedure. One is clearly more important than the other. So after cooling off from being irate at her comment I called to schedule my first appointment. I was cutting it close as far as timing for being pregnant but they couldn't get me in any earlier. So yesterday they call to say they scrwed up and would have to cancel my appointment and could we reschedule for the middle of March. Remember Christmas...it's taken that long to get in. So they were able to get me into the south location - over an hour from my house and a half hour from my office so that I can go over lunch next week but it is significantly out of my way but at this point I feel trapped and want to get what I paid for. With life and work I don't have the time to drive all over town for this but they already have my 1500$ so what are my options? So beware if you are even thinking about getting pregnant or have any time frame. Once I find out how well the product actually works then maybe my opinion will change but so far their customer service is such that I would stay away. read more

Ideal image advertises that they will get you in and out in 15 minutes. I've been about three times and for the most part, it's pretty true. However, today, I was running late for my appointment and when I got there, even though there was no one else waiting in the waiting room and I still had time in my slot to get my laser stuff done, they told me that I had to come back at another time. I called customer service and they admitted that they schedule in 30 minute increments in case people are running late. So, why couldn't they take me? There was still plenty of time! And still the lady on the phone did not even apologize for the inconvenience. The worst thing about this situation is that they didn't even try to see if they could squeeze me in (though no squeezing was even necessary). They simply turned me away. I will never recommend this place to anyone, nor will I ever use their services again. I actually wish I could give zero stars. read more
