I shopped around and had absolute sticker shock when I received countertop quotes from Home Depot and Lowes. A friend recommended Rainbow Stone and I'm happy to have found this place. The selection is great and the prices are more reasonable. I can't speak on the quality until I've had more use on the countertops I had installed but so far they are beautiful and seem well made. Ernie (I think his actual name was Arnulfo but he said to call him Ernie after I butchered the pronunciation) and his crew did the installation and they did a fantastic job on the quality of the work. He bookmatched the edges of my island and the joints on the countertops were minimal because he chose the cuts in areas where it minimized contrast. It has been over 3 months since we ordered our cabinets with really poor communication and updates for one specific part/cabinet that is still missing to complete our kitchen. We were told 3 weeks from time of purchase, then another month after that, then when no further communication happened and multiple times coming to the store to get clarification, we followed up again just to get status. We were told another date. Initially the service was great, it was speedy but if you're following up for missing items and there is no accountability by staff/managers, we absolutely regret coming here. Especially since the staff member forgot to order a piece not just once but multiple times. How are we as consumers to know what to order for our kitchen? This is YOUR job and not ours to figure out. If a customer requests management follow up, it should not take this long and more importantly, someone above the store manager should be dealing with these issues because obviously, the staff are just passing the buck to others to not deal with it. You're in the profession of customer service and sales. You already took our money with no way to mitigate or resolve things. One piece of our cabinet is still missing today and our last update was supposed to be on September 24th. It is almost 3 weeks from that date and no response again. We've e-mailed and called. Called again today and they said, the manager was off (again). I understand we are in COVID times and supply chains are delayed, but please and absolutely do not overpromise. We have been more than patient and. just need them to communicate appropriately & effectively especially when a response is solicited. This is unacceptable. read more

I had a horrible experience with contractors (read my other post), but the best part of my entire renovation was each time I worked with Rainbow Stone. When I wanted to design my kitchen, all I had to do was bring in the measurements. I sat with the fantastic sales people and they worked it all out with me and had a 3D design and cost within an hour. All extras and minor details were included. Later, when my contractor tried to screw me out of more money to do the counter tops, I went back to Rainbow Stone. They did an amazing job. Their installation team were true artists. We went with natural stone and they showed us the slabs and layer out exactly how all the veins would line up. Arnulfo and sons was the team that actually did the demo and installation of my counters. OMG! They were just as wonderful to work with. They were a tad late... BUT they finished in one day! We were looking to replace our kitchen cabinets and countertop and went to this place because of a recommendation claiming good service. But we were disappointed and misled by the information given by the store manager during our multiple visits before we placing an order. We asked how long would the cabinets arrive after we placed an order and was told two weeks. We inquired about demolition/installation costs for cabinets and countertop and possible installation time. The price for the project seemed reasonable and before placing the order we were required to have measurements done by their contractor with a non-refundable fee. We scheduled for measurements and the contractor did not show up on scheduled time. I called back to find out what happened and was informed that manager forgot to contact contractor for the appointment, thus we had to reschedule. The following day, the manager contacted us to apologize for the mishap and proceeded to tell us that installation time would be delayed due to again, miscommunication between manager and contractor. We had to reconfigure other projects going on in our home to accommodate the new installation of these cabinets/counter top. Before making an initial payment, which required costs of material and labor, without a contract. We learned from manager that all the materials needed for our project were not all available and substitutions on cabinet size would have to be made to satisfy the space and other items in the order were out of stock for a minimum of six months. The manager suggested that we could change the order for those out to stock items. The options available were not appealing to us because it would change the way we had envisioned our project to go. We noticed there were too many negatives in this process before install that led us to not place an order and wonder what would have happened if we had gone forward with this project. Although the price for the project was attractive, we felt that we wouId have spent more money with unforeseen problems during the project and that this company would not be responsible for since there was no job contract. I did request for a partial refund of initial measurement in good faith but was immediately denied. read more

She said that she found my contact on Yelp (from my business) and sen it to me. I am not a complainer, and this is my first Yelp review. Although we are happy with how the project turned out (the stone looks beautiful), the scheduling, service and installation were challenging from beginning to end. The ladies in the showroom were very nice and helpful, however the manager, David was not. The original price I was quoted from another salesperson (in writing) was increased once he took over the transaction. His recommendation of seams on the diagonal were not good, a mistake that the installation foreman luckily corrected. The bar top required bracing, but I was told that the installers would not do that, which was surprising. I purchased the braces myself and ended up having to install them myself after the installers refused to do it. The worst part was when the electrical on an entire wall was accidentally knocked out during the installation of the backsplash. This, in itself was not such a big deal, anything can be fixed, but David's response was "we don't do electrical," and "how do I know you are telling me the truth?" I explained the situation to him and he did not believe me, even after I told him everything was new and working when the installation crew was working there all day... they were using the lights and outlets during the installation! He refused to accept any responsibility and was very rude and unprofessional over the phone, including not following up or returning my calls, essentially ignoring the problem. Fortunately, the installation foreman was a great guy and had a friend who was an electrician who volunteered to come out and troubleshoot and repair the problem... which was quick and simple (some wires were accidentally pulled loose during installation). He came out that evening and fixed the problem for us... no thanks to Rainbow Stone management! If it wasn't for this favor, I would have had to call an electrician and pay for the repair, and be without electricity in my kitchen for who knows how long. Lastly, there was quite a bit of glue left on the finished surface of the stone after the crew had left, which I had to remove myself with a razor blade. This should have been a routine part of the installation and part of the clean-up. It wasn't. In general, the clean-up was really bad. The countertops do look great... but the service was bad, and communications with the office manager were horrible. He does not understand the meaning of customer service and was really offensive. I selected and fully paid for two pieces of prefabricated quartz along with the accompanying two pieces of 6" backsplash. I watched as the employee placed stickers with my name on the quartz pieces I selected. When my contractor went to pick up the material, Rainbow loaded his truck. Thankfully, my contractor was heads up and noticed the backsplash had not been loaded. When he asked about the two missing backsplash pieces, he was told the pieces were out of stock. Again, these were pieces that had already been bought and paid for, and literally had my name on them. I drove over to personally speak with staff. I was offered a $20.00 discount for the missing pieces, and I could take the slabs I had paid for, or I could get a refund. I was nearing the end of my project and just wanted my kitchen to be finished, so I took a look at in stock items. I was offered the "opportunity" to purchase different quartz slabs for over $400 more. When asked if I would get any discount to make things right, I was told "No". Are you kidding me? You just screwed me by somehow giving away the product I bought and paid for, and and now want me to pay you even more money? I took a full refund and purchased at another store, forcing me to wait another two weeks for my product to arrive. The customer care and service here is awful.
