Well they did not & 60% of my data was gone. I was devastated for days until my wife suggested a third party repair shop. I reached out to a couple businesses and after speaking to Eric with iFixit, I thought it was worth a try. What did I have to lose? I dropped off my time capsule that apple told me I had completely erased due to holding the reset button in for 10 seconds (they also couldn't pull up any info off of it). They said it requires a network to operate and access the data which they could not do. Well Eric opened the hard drive and was able to directly access the files. I was amazed and so happy. Since the files are scattered he suggested I bring in my iMac and attempt to complete a restore of data which would put the files in the correct location. Eric was right and completely saved my digital life! I am forever grateful to them and his hard work. I was surprised at how reasonable the work cost too. Definitely give them a shot for any data recovery issues you may be facing. They know the "ins and outs".

He agreed to repair it under warranty, but after multiple weeks, and additional expense, they weren't able to fix it. When I lightly pushed back about the delays the owner threw a tantrum and told me to come get my machine but he was only giving me back half the money. I'll spare you all back-and-forth details but scroll through the reviews here and see how he responds to negative feedback. He's dismissive and lacks maturity. That's him. That's what you get. If you're cool with that type of behavior, have a computer issue that's easy to solve, and lots of time to get it solved, then AIT could be a good fit for you. If you want a professional that can confidently solve your issue in a reasonable amount of time, then you might consider other options. Disclaimer: Sean is in the process of moving his storefront from Tempe to Gilbert and is running a pickup/drop off service. I offered to meet him halfway as his location was around 20 minutes away and he was very grateful. I am not one to typically leave reviews, however Sean was so kind, well meaning, respectful, and gave me live updates about how the repair was going. This was the best customer service experience I have ever received in tech. The apple store quoted me at $1300 and sean completely repaired my water damaged 2017 macbook pro and was able to recover all of my data for just $400. My computer was under reasonable use conditions and slightly dirty when I gave it to him. He returned it back in sparkling condition having cleaned thoroughly the interior and exterior. He even cleaned my dusty fans even though they had nothing to do with the repair. Above and beyond service. 5 stars

Took my pc to another vendor who diagnosed it FOR FREE. They told me the fee would be about $1k to fit it, but said they could retrieve all my data. Since my employer was going to pay for it, I decided to take it to Data Doctors because of the reviews I had seen, and since they have so many locations around town. When I took my pc in, it was a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE fee just to look at it, and they had my pc for several days before telling me they thought they could retrieve my data for about the same price ($10 higher than the other vendor). Since the $100 was non-refundable (and would apply towards the cost to fix) I decided to go with Data Doctors - BIG MISTAKE. DD told me it would take 2 weeks to get my pc fixed - it took nearly a month and most of the updates I received were at my urging on wanting to know what the status of my case was? Once the month came and went they told me they could NOT fix my pc. I told them how dissatisfied I was with their service and they refunded me the $100, which was rightful due to all the time they had my pc and my status-finding efforts. That is the one good thing I could say. 2) I got a new pc (Sony Vaio) and inserted an adapter which I thought would fit okay (it fit into the above HP) but turned out it didn't. Again went to Data Doctors to get help removing it. The counter rep there was not helpful at all - he wouldn't even touch it - said I would need to leave it there for a $100 minimum fee and said they would try not to damage my pc(?) I was quite disgusted and I left. I realized at that point that Data Doctors is not there to help, they are in this business to MAKE MONEY, and they don't care about the customer (at least not this one). After I left Data Doctors I did a Google maps search and found another vendor close by - WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE! I walked in with my Vaio and within 15 minutes the owner had removed the adapter from my pc with very little effort and - NO CHARGE. I will never go to Data Doctors again. The other vendor gave me his best effort and set me on the road again, and I very much appreciated his time and his appreciation of my time in stopping by. Whereas Data Doctors never thanked me, they only wanted my money, and certainly not my respect or my loyalty.

I found The PC Guy by a web search…read more I scheduled the appointment for a few days after my new computer arrived. The technician, Elijah, called 30 minutes before arriving. He arrived as expected and after showing him the new equipment, he got right to work. He transferred all data from the old desktop hard drive, external hard drive, music and then arranged all the apps to the positions I had on my last monitor. He even downloaded the apps. Everything was seamless. There was no way I could have handled the job myself. Great work! Five out of five stars!
