We visited this restaurant when we were in town visiting. We were looking for something local and with good reviews and the brewpub did not disappoint. The wait staff was so friendly, even joking around with our 5 year old and having some fun. Something so simple, but makes your visit so much more memorable. Last time we were here it was because we were hiking the PCT! So this place is especially nostalgic to us. I'm super biased but I just think this place is wonderful. The prices are a little high, but there is a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and forest from the deck. They have an awesome food and drink menu which never disappoints. The day after new years we came here and im assuming they don't really cater well to outsiders. As soon as we arrived there was a people already seated and enjoying themselves. A couple was let in by the hostess before us but when they got to us the lady immediately told us they ran out of food? Hmmm strange at 4pm? We got the vibe. First time going to Idyllwild Brew. If you don't like stairs or heights this might not be the place for you. I didn't see any other way to get in. We got greeted right away and we chose to sit outside, was way cooler with a breeze. She brought us water right away after seating us.The place looked very clean and looks like it gets busy on occasions. The service lacked as we had time to read the menu and look on yelp for reviews. Then finally someone noticed us after taking care of others that arrived after us. We got a beer flight what I had I liked. They could make the card easier to read, the writing was sloppy. The wings are definitely a go to on the menu. The pretzel was warm and my wife liked the dipping sauce. read more

We visited on a Thursday evening and the place was quiet and wonderfully comfortable. Our server Taylor was super pleasant and enjoyable to talk to and even gave us recommendations. On one attempt, it was 20 minutes post opening and were given a 2 hour wait time with the place having multiple empty tables. Nice pub with typical brewpub fare which is quite tasty but the star of the "show" is their beer selection! They have everything from lagers to IPAs to wheat beers to dark to Belgians. I totally recommend the flight of 4 beers; unlike many other places, where you can't order a flight from the entire beer menu, this place allows you to do so! I am partial to Belgian beers so try theirs plus their amazing Ridger's IPA. Amazing! Long lines during the weekend, keep that in mind. read more

So this was my wife's and I first time visiting and man let me tell you it definitely won't be the last! Service was excellent the servers were super nice and super helpful considering we were new to the town! The environment was super chill noise was moderate but it was a bar so it was expected The location is right across from the creek so it gives you a chance to take great photos Food is amazing everything was fresh to order I highly recommend the restaurant ack of ribs with the truffle fries and the cost of the food was also reasonable as well ! My husband and I used to really look forward to coming to this spot when we travel up to Idyllwild. Our recent visit may have been our last. We were told it was going to be a 30-45 min wait and it turned out to be an hour and a half wait. I went to check our table with those host and she said five more mins. Sure enough, it was. We were seated and not greeted by our server for over 20 mins. I eventually asked another server for two waters for my husband and I. Eventually our server greeted us and took our order. My husband's food was delivered first and my food came 15 mins later after my husband was done. Once we were done eating, we were trying to flag our server down to get our check. He did not check on us after he gave us our food. Our server was too distracted and saw his friends that had come in with their dog and greeted them and did not wash his hands after touching their dog. He went straight to other tables and helped other guests. After that, I asked another server to help us and she look frustrated about our situation. The manager kept walking around and didn't seem to care about anything other than walking around the restaurant and picking up trash. I can hear one of the servers tell the manager that a guest was requesting her at another table (not shocking). We finally got our check and we were never greeted by our original server again. Needless to say, we won't be back. Please don't waist your time or money there. For the price of the food, you can go somewhere else that has better quality in their food and service. This place needs new management and serving staff. read more

Came here for dinner and there was an approximately 45 minute wait, although we got a text 10 minutes earlier than expected letting us know a table was ready. Indoor (table and bar) and outdoor seating is available. Free parking lot available. Restrooms available by the T-shirt's for sale. They had free stickers which was nice. We had an order of Buffalo jumbo wings which come in 6. I got the cowboy poutine off of the specials menu, and it was a very large portion. They have a flight tasting of 4 for $14 and also have ciders/seltzers available. read more

Great spot for casual and relaxing hangout. Do I recommend it? Yes. We always end up coming here when we visit Idyllwild. This brewpub has awesome location. The large front patio overlooks mountain and lush forest. The inside looks cool too. I noticed that recently additional seating areas were added outside most likely due to this brewpub's popularity. During this visit we sat by the bar and ordered a few cocktails. The bartender prepared the handcrafted cocktails very well. The right amount of properly mixed ingredients made the drinks very enjoyable. We ordered IBP smoked old fashioned, devil's slide and seasonal seltzer. We will come back again for sure and hopefully next time we will try some foods as well. read more

This is one of the best spots to get food, whether it's lunch or dinner while visiting Idyllwild. They have a great selection of drinks which range from beer, mixed drinks, and wine. The menu is very diverse and provides great flavor for a respectable price. The service can get a little hectic as it's one of the best places to eat so be mindful of the hard-working staff. I came here during the winter, so it was very cold, but they provided heaters and covered seating so it made it very comfortable. Idyllwild is like my second home away from home and I can't believe I haven't been to this brewpub until now! I'm so glad we did! We stopped by here after a mid-day hike and was able to find seats at the bar. We put our name down for a table, they said it would take about 20 mins but they called our name after 5 mins. But we liked our seats at the bar so we canceled the table. I think Alianna was the bartender and she was so awesome! And the food was so good! It is a brewery so I did not expect much for the food but, we got the burger and the ahi tuna salad, wow, the ahi tuna salad was bomb! Everyone was so friendly here and not pretentious at all! I agree with other reviewers, the majority of Idyllwild restaurants have a bit of an attitude.. not all the time, maybe when you come at the wrong time wrong day, you will experience it, other times, not really..
