When I removed the broken glass myself, it came off in one piece with zero adhesive and debris in the corners -- clearly the cause of the crack, not misuse. I brought it back and asked for a proper reseal (color didn't matter to me). They installed an aftermarket glass that looked fine and held up with my case. Later the phone got rained on. Because the back glass was never properly resealed to IP68 standard, water got inside and the phone is now stuck in recovery mode -- almost certainly a fried motherboard from that leak. The Herndon manager refused to warranty it, calling it "water damage" and ignoring that their failed repair is what let the water in. I then took it to the Myrtle Beach location to try drying it out -- they cracked my screen and said Herndon would coordinate a replacement. That never happened either. Two locations, two failed repairs, zero resolution.

The battery was replaced and put back together like it was never opened. I actually got my phone back better than how I brought it in. (previous battery had bloated and lifted the screen). Service was completed within 2 hours. Although they said it would take one hour and when I returned they said they needed 15 min more which ended up being about an hour. Still impressive it was done that quickly. There was a steady flow of customers so be prepared for it to take a little longer than quoted (which happens). Parking is a little tough but its in the town of Herndon so take advantage of your visit by trying out some of the local restaurants and bars. There are many options with good variety. Its a quaint little town and a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. I'll be coming back here if i need to have a component in my cell phones replaced.

Two days later, the entire screen stopped working. They replaced it again, and just four days later, it stopped working again. When I returned, they gave me a hard time and blamed the issue on damage that they never mentioned before either repair. It's extremely frustrating to pay to have one thing fixed, only to have the same problem happen twice and then be blamed for it. I would not recommend this company. In my experience, you may go in to get one thing fixed and leave with a bigger problem--and no accountability.

I eventually decided to return it as it didn't provide me with the functionality I need and that I had on my previous model 11. I returned it within the 30 days and at first they said they wouldn't take it back despite it being in the exact same condition as when I bought it. Then they agreed to take it back but only returned me 60% of the purchase price to my card. A normal business re-shelfing fee is ~15%. The staff themselves are very nice so I blame the owner of this store for caring more about profits than being true to your word. Avoid this store.

The colors on the new screen were noticeably different, but not horrible. 3D Touch didn't work very well on the new screen, but again, not the worst loss of functionality. I bought a new case (at another retailer) and went on my way assuming my iPhone 7 was back and as good as ever... wrong. Less than three weeks later, a minor fall shattered the whole screen again. The screen protector is in great shape and didn't help in the slightest. I have to assume the replacement screen is of significantly worse quality than the original, otherwise it was a faulty product or faulty installation. There was no form of disclosure that the repaired unit would be of lesser quality than the original iPhone... the screen display and durability are not up to Apple standards. I wish I hadn't wasted the $100.
