This guy is amazing! My proximity and light sensor stopped working after getting my screen replaced by someone else. I obviously couldn't take it back to the idiot who "fixed" my screen, so I brought it over here. This dude is on a different level than the rest of the repair guys. You are lucky if your repair guy can disassemble, obtain a new part, and assemble your phone back together without breaking other stuff. This guy seems to know how to tinker with stuff properly even if a new part isn't obtainable. He quoted me $50 before opening the phone and ended up charging $30 only after figuring out what the problem was. Top-notch repair skills, very good pricing, and most importantly honesty; I don't know what else you could ask for in this service area. I went there to fix my iphone4's home button. This office is a little difficult to get there. I drove around to find it. The service is great. He is honest mechanic. My home did not work right after he fixed it. He just replace the parts again in 10 min. I think he is gifted to handle tiny and micro things. He has fast and crafty hands. It's not a retail shop, it's just in a shoddy little one-story office building. It's a little hard to find but it's on Artesia and you park in the back. The guy Gene is there Monday-Friday 9ish-7ish and by appointment on Saturdays & Sundays. I bought his Yelp deal of $15 for $10 before I went so I saved 5 bucks. I called ahead for an appointment and from the time I left the office until I returned was 50 minutes. Cost was $69 and he takes debit/credit. Very nice guy, quick, and knows what he's doing. He had a pricelist posted so I grabbed a copy, which he said is outdated, but it gives you an idea of the different phones and costs. Just call him if you want to know if he can fix yours. Saved me $30 off my insurance deductible and I didn't have to go more than half a day with a cracked screen. Just thought I'd share! My wifes iphone 5 screen broke and had it replaced there.She had a display issue a few days later and when we took it back, he found a bad power button that he was bummed he didn't notice it the first time and swapped it out for no charge. WARNING: There's a reason this guy is 10-20% cheaper than all his competitors. My girlfriend broke her screen, so we looked this guy up, and the price was right. Totally stoked, she got her phone fixed. There was a certain warranty period after the fix to get our money back and I shit you not, the day after the warranty expired, her phone starts having problems. Her screen got loose (if i wanted, I could rip it right off), the touch screen started getting buggy (now completely unusable), and also the screen has purple faded vertical lines all over it. The phone is completely useless. So she called him, not to get her money back, but to see if this was a common occurrence, what she should do, etc. and he was a complete dick. So rude. I'd have molliwhopped that asshole if he spoke to my girlfriend in person like that. Point is, use this company at your own risk. Peace. read more
