We had a great experience! I had a special day planned with my 8 year old son and we accidentally mixed up an 8:00am vs. 8:00pm time slot. To make things work, a supervisor named Andy helped us reschedule quickly for the same morning. Thank you Andy! When we arrived we were really impressed. The facility is so cool and everything was clean and organized. Most of the flight suits and equipment looked new. We had our ground school training with our instructor Vinnie and he answered all of our questions. We were well prepared thanks to his knowledge and insight. Entering the "wind tunnel" was exciting and a huge thrill. It was an incredible experience. Vinnie handled everything perfectly for both an 8 year old and an old man of 58! A personal recommendation: Get the 4 flight package. I think we really got the most for our money that way. They have a lot of specials so be sure and shop for those. Booked a flight time online for Saturday at 1:30p. Had to be there 30 mins early for the check in and waivers. I completed the waivers online. Check in was easy. They attach wristbands to the fliers with names and info. I booked a family package for up to 3 fliers and 10 flights. They each got to go twice but their time was extended to get the full time for the 10 flights. Husband did the fly high add-on. Super fun. Not fun - beginners have to wear the eye goggles and open helmet. The goggles cut into your face and the force of the wind makes it hard to breathe. Bright side is that since they completed the first beginner round, they can have closed helmets next time. Instructors were great! Everyone was so helpful. Nice facility, plenty of seating for groups and spectators. The girls were very excited but nervous. They had a great time and want to go again. At $360, it will be a little while before we do it again. read more

This is something that sounds cool in theory and I really wanted to like but unfortunately did not. The staff was kind of course but what disappointed us was the experience itself. Basically, we had the opportunity to go into the tube twice, and I think we only were in there for 1.5 to 2 minutes each, so the whole experience lasted like max four minutes total and the rest of the time we spent there was just waiting in line watching other other people in there. Now I completely understand that they can't just let people go into the tube and fly around by themselves as that would probably cause injuries, but the only thing that we did while in the tube was stay in one spot while the worker held us there, we didn't even get to move around the tube or anything. Not that we had a bad experience but for how much money we paid I thought that it would be more fun unfortunately. It was just a lot of standing around and watching, and when it was your turn it was very underwhelming read more

From walking into the door it was a great experience and worth the price me and my hubby had the v.i.p and had the photo op and video included plus the high fly which was soooo much fun. Our instructor was trey and he was highly motivating and help you all the way and made sure you enjoyed yourself. I will most certainly be back to do this again and I suggest this for anyone who has skydiving on their bucket list but don't want to go on a airplane lol read more

Very very very exhilarating! I've done IFly before at another location and this time was just as fun. Costed about $170 for two flyers and then and extra $15 per person for the high fly( where they take you high in the air at the end of your flight) despite the cost, I think it's worth it for the overall experience. When you get there there is a good portion of time where the instructors go over proper techniques, safety and signs to look for when in the vent. Even though I've done this before I made sure to still pay attention. You get to inside with an instructor twice and at the end you get to do the high fly section and it's a BLAST! I'm too chicken to ever jump out of an actual plane so this is a super fun alternative that everyone would try at least once. read more

I took my STEM students on a field trip here. The students are already asking for a revisit so they could mark off more accomplishments on their certificate. Everyone had such a great experience that I am making sure to do future field trips here. Staff was warm, welcoming, professional, detailed, and made nervous flyers feel at ease to try something new. It's really busy here. Never saw this many folks at the Toronto location. Took my nephew here for an indoor flight, two trips. We arrived 15 minutes before to sign the waiver and to give him time to change into his one piece suit as well as your helmet. No necklace or jewelry or hats or loose items on. Tie up lace shoes. $118.74 for two flights for one person, added high flight, photo and video too. They have stools by the tube or amphitheater benches too. The instructor (Haley) for my nephew was decent. I did like watching the instructor before my nephew's session, she was really good. She was really good at giving clear instructions to help each flyer make the most of their flight. They have you seated on a bench and you move to the end of the line for your next flight. My nephew thoroughly enjoyed the flights, the high flight was well worth it. The show at the end of your flight by your instructor to end your session. We got to watch several of the instructors do a show for us between sessions. read more

Usually go to an ifly in Charlotte, but were in town and come to ifly Detroit. Had Tali as our instructor for my 2 kids (10 and 12) and she did an amazing job talking things over with the kids and got them signed off on a number of maneuvers. Wish we were in town longer as we wouldn't hesitate to have Tali teach more lessons with the kids. read more

Drove over an hour to come to try ifly out- we waited 30 minutes before we were called back. They put us (2) in a group of 8. After everything was done; getting dressed, talking, etc and we had 2 flights each. The first flight was 1 1/2 minutes long and the second was about 2 minutes long. For how much it cost to only get that short of a time it truly was disappointing. So saying the time you will spend there is an hour and 45 minutes is totally false. It takes that long because they put everyone in 1 big group and everyone has to have their flight/flights. For how much it cost I thought the flights would at least be 15 minutes or so but no it was only 2 minutes. Maybe have smaller groups or maybe don't allow the instructors to take their flights during business hours so then that time could be given to the paying customers read more

Super fun, but pretty expensive. "One flight" is one minute long. We had a great time and will be back to celebrate other life events.

From the minute we got there everyone was so nice and welcoming. They were professional and friendly. Our group consisted of flyers all mid 50's with one being 85! We had a great time, we v chose the high flight extra, and that was so amazing. I can't say enough great things about TreyIII, our flight instructor, he was so good at making sure we were safe and at ease. He made our experience terrific. Rip Offf!!!!' It was more fun walking outside during a hurricane because that didn't cost a ton of money for literally seconds worth of time. Paid a LOT of $ for less than a minute in the tube/tunnel/whatever they call it. It could be fun but not at all worth that much money for that time. But at least we got to watch the instructor show off at the end...time that someone who actually paid to be flying could have been. Disappointed - really feel like I was / we were robbed! Our original family group of 12 included participants aged 76 through 9, (and a 3 month old baby who was too young to fly.) The experience was Gran and Pa's Christmas gift to the clan. The ten of us who were able to attend (one kid got the flu and he and his mom stayed home) had a wonderful time! Since there were fewer of us, the time from the unused fliers was redistributed to the fliers in attendance. This was a very fair approach. The staff was great about helping us figure out what to do with our baby. We all loved and felt very secure with our flight instructors. They handled the wide range of ages really well. This was no small task! We would all highly recommend ifly. Family memories are built on experiences. It is our intention to go back with the kid who got sick and his mom, and maybe anyone else who is available. read more
