The staff is very friendly and the actual flights were fun, but I can't get over how short the flights are and all the waiting time before and after. For $60, you get two 1-minute flights (I didn't realize ahead of time how short they are). The first of the two is basically figuring out the right body position (hands flat, legs bent a certain way, get relaxed, etc) and the instructor holding you most of the time. I feel like iFly should give you a practice/trial run, then let you have two good flights. There are also too many add ons for extra money. For example, for $10 extra, the instructor will take you for three extra high spins during your minute flight. If you are paying $10 for literally 10 seconds, can't they at least add those 10 seconds to your minute? Pictures and videos are also not cheap, nor do they actually print them for you (they are sent digitally). They group you with other people too, so it's a lot of watching the others go and waiting around. I'm glad I did it, but I would like to see some changes before attempting it again. read more

I believe I can fly... My wife took me to iFLY for my birthday. Had a great time! The flight staff was excellent. The time in the wind tunnel was perfect. And I even managed some controlled maneuvers with their coaching. The pictures and videos options are cool keepsakes of our successes and failures in the turns we had. Our 8 year-old did well, other than trying to talk and slobbering all over her own face because of the wind. Our 3 year-old really wanted to try, but was afraid of being alone and the noise. In the end, she was in-and-out, then cuddling my wife and I. (With a dang tight grip.) The flow, where you take turns, works. You can see others try different things, succeed... and not, and you're ready to try something different when it comes back to you. The social pressure of people trying is probably what got our elder daughter over her initial fears. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it! read more

I came by last night for my first flight ever and it was such a great experience! I wasn't sure what to expect and nervous of course, but the training course I went through helped give me a good idea of what was to come and reassured me of my decision to do something new and adventurous (for me at least). My flight instructors Eddie and Billy were upbeat and silly but at the same time professional. They made sure I was well versed on the basics before suiting up and stepping into the wind chamber. I went along with a class of two kids which made me more nervous. They probably expected me to be brave and know what I was doing, but I didn't have a clue! With my luck I was first in line to jump into the tunnel. My exact thoughts: "Here goes nothing!". The feeling of the wind smacking your face was definitely interesting and every time I messed up a little I ended up laughing. I thought I would be embarrassed but they make the environment so fun and relaxing that's it's hard to be too harsh on yourself. Billy helped me inside the chamber and he had my back the whole time! He made sure my body positioning was correct and watched out for me incase I hit the walls or flew up past 10 feet alone. After a few trials of my own and doing cool spinning tricks, he flew with me up higher into the tunnel to about maybe 20 something feet. That was AWESOME!! These guys definitely get a good workout trying to make sure their clients are safe while also showing them a great time. My body was a bit achy afterwards and we won't even get started on my hair (rat's nest of tangles). Make sure you tie your hair into a braid or something secure that won't fly all over the place like mine! Either way you'll have an amazing time though :) Be sure to purchase your photos and videos so you can show all your friends and family how cool indoor skydiving is! Alright well if you want to keep reading this review(since you're probably calling iFly right now to book your flight time) I'll give you an idea of the fun you're about to experience... When you first enter iFly you're greeted at the front desk and required to fill out a liability waiver. You'll receive your wristband and then head up to the second floor where you'll begin your 'Flight School'. The flight school is a quick 5 minute video and another 5 minutes of instructor face time where you'll learn hand signals and body posture for the wind chamber. After this, you'll head back out and get fitted for a flight suit, helmet, goggles, and ear plugs.This whole process takes about 45 minutes so you'll need to arrive early before your scheduled flight time. During this entire time your adrenaline is pumping and your anticipation is building. You've been walking by watching other people in the flight simulator and you know your time is about to come soon...! Once you step into the wind tunnel waiting area your heart is pumping and it finally hits you that you're about to FLY! They crank the wind up to a deafening volume and there is no turning back! Trekking to Union City to jump into a wind tunnel wasn't high on my priority list but I'm really glad I went! After we checked in, we sat in front of the clear plexiglass wind tunnel, and oohed and ahhed as we watched the instructors flip and spin inside it like aerial breakdancers. Then it was time for our "class." After a 3 minute instructional video, our cool and friendly instructor Noah hooked us up with our gear. Earplugs, helmet, goggles, and jumpsuit? Check. There was an array of colors for the goggles for you dorks who feel the need to match them to your suit. I rocked the pink combo. Everyone got one minute in the wind tunnel to get situated and practice hovering. I found it to be pretty relaxing. One person in our group characterized it as swimming in air. Then we had a second minute where Noah helped us spin and swoosh up and down - wheeeeeeee! How does it compare to outdoor skydiving? I thought they were really different. When you are outdoors, you are falling and that sensation is completely different than iFly which to me felt more like floating. However, with iFly you aren't going tandem so you have a lot more control and ability to do your own thing. Getting your Superman on is spendy though. One word to summarize my experience: meh. It is great fun for those who wants the adrenaline without the risk, but I am not a fan of it. To me it is like being a a hurricane with very little control. Granted that there is a nice instructor to help with new flyers, but I think it will take a long time to really get the hang of it. Also the price is a little steep comparing to regular flying. It costs me about 140 for two people. I can rent a Cessna with gas included for 1hour for less than that. Yes it is cheaper than skydiving but it is not quite the same thing. I don't like how they market it as indoor skydiving. It's just not a great feeling being in the air with very little control. Added one star for the excellent customer service. read more

We can fly, we can fly, we can fly! Today I got my Peter Pan on, by flying around a vertical wind tunnel. Taking advantage of a Yelp special that was oh so good, the deal was irresistible. Normally a "flight" was $55, and a DVD of the adventure was another $25. Yelp specials scored this for $40. My Lady and I have stepped out of perfectly good airplanes before, and we had been longing for a wind tunnel flight ever since they were invented. This special was just the nudge we needed. About 15 minutes in front of a video, a brief practice session with the instructor, then suited up, and 2 flights around the wind tunnel to cap the afternoon. Dude, this rocks! read more

My teen nieces and nephew were coming to visit on their spring break. They have never been to visit before, so I wanted to make their trip memorable. They consider the standard touristy things boring, so I came up with a long list of bay area ideas and sent it to them. The only thing they were unanimously enthused about was iFly. Kids as young as age 3 can participate. My 4 year old watched it and declined. My 7 year old was excited to try it. When we got there, she wanted to go first. After her first turn, she declined to have a second turn, and gave her extra time to her cousins. All the adults and teenagers really enjoyed it, including me. Comparison to real sky diving: I have been tandem skydiving, once. The wind sensation at iFly is very similar, but it was less frightening. Nothing compares to actually stepping out of a speeding airplane 13,000 feet above the ground. And honestly, I did not enjoy that part of the real thing anyway. The other two parts that are missing are 1) That amazing contrast of the senses from the loud and windy free fall to serenely and silently floating above the world after the chute opens. 2) Approaching the ground and landing gracefully. Or not so gracefully. However, with iFly you can really work with the instructor and try out different maneuvers, which was fun and tempts me to go back and play some more. We got a Groupon deal, $55 for two sessions and video. Very kid friendly! My daughter loved it! ..she asked to come back again another time as we were leaving. We were greeted immediately by the staff once we walked through the door. All the instructors were friendly and professional. We did not have a reservation so they told us that the next available slot to fly was about an hour wait. We would get called into the "jump school" (video on how to fly safely) 30min into our wait. It didn't seem too long at all because we were able to go upstairs to where all the flying action happened and we were able to watch other groups fly before us. It gave us a chance to observe the wind tunnel and gave us an idea on what to expect. It's pretty amazing to watch, especially when the instructors fly solo and show off their skills! They have the flyers suit up with a jumpsuit, ear plugs, goggles and a helmet..then they go over everything they learned in the safety video. I watched my daughter fly and the instructor faced her towards me a few times so I can get a few good shots with my camera. They also took photos and video of the Flyers for you to purchase. Each fly session is about a minute long. The first session my daughter flew low and circled around the tunnel. The second session the instructor asked her if she wanted to go higher and he brought her all the way to the top of the tunnel where I couldn't even see her anymore! She also got a signed certificate of her first fly. They also offer 40% future fly packages if you wanted to come back. They used to allways take you up high in the chamber on every flight as part of you flight. It is now an extra charge and called a high fly upgrade. What a joke. IFly = iFlew. I went to iFly to check out the business mixer they were having & get the discounted rate of $30 for 2 minutes. It's expensive, but half off since the regular price is $60 for 2 min! Yikes. So, you have to register on one of their 2 computers & click, click, click, a waiver that if you die or something you won't sue. I said ok, but then thought "you can die?, wtf". Next, wait a short video on hand signals the instructor will give you. Chin up, arms out slightly bent, bend the knees or straight legs. Next, gear up. Wear comfortable clothes & tennis shoes. Take of your shoes then put on your jumper suit. Straps under your foot, not your shoes. Then earplugs, safety glasses, & helmet. You will look like a freak but so what. Then get in the waiting area & sit on the bench. If you get to the end of the bench you'll be last to go. 1 min per person (they have a timer they can watch). It's hilarious! I couldn't stop smiling, then drooling, & laughing my ass off. So funny!! Then, wait on the bench again. Second minute wasn't that fun. I kept getting too close to the glass. Then he spins me & I closed my eyes. Don't like that. You can tell him beforehand. Can't hear nothing when you're in there so no good then. One person at a time w/ an instructor always nearby. Then it's over. You can buy DVD or photos. We didn't. Bathrooms downstairs around the corner. Recommended at least once if you want to try it. And for my 1300th review.... Last year was the honey's Segway tour, this year we took it to the air! On advice from a friend I scheduled a session with iFly for my boyfriend's birthday. That day he and I showed up at the requested 1 hour before flight, which was really too early and to bide our time we watched a couple groups go ahead of us, enjoying the funny faces, excitement, and general cuteness of so many wee one's in the wind tunnel. Every instructor we saw was great with the kids, and a ton of fun to watch, especially during their solo showoff at the end of each group. When it was time the honey suited up and watched a short video, which detailed the hand language they used to communicate in the air and air safety. I'd purchased the longer fly package so he flew for 2 sets of 2 minutes, which doesn't seem like long, but in the wind tunnel, it feels like forever. And he had opted for the extra "up high" which consisted of the instructor (who was fantastic) taking him up into the top of the wind tunnel and spinning. All in all, he had a ton of fun and it was worth every cent. My only advice? Ignore the 1/hr sign in window and plan for 30 minutes or less. The entire experience ran us 4 hours, and for quite a bit of that we were just sitting around waiting for our flight time. read more

The best experience EVER! I took my girlfriend to iFly last Thursday night 11/3/15. I booked the 10pm time slot as that was the only one available. It was near closing time and we were the last ones to come through the doors but, despite the late hour I found the front desk staff extremely outgoing and friendly throughout the whole registration process. After filling out the registration we walked upstairs to get my girlfriend situated for her flight. I wish I could remember the instructors name but, he was an experienced skydiver new to iFly. He answered all her questions and put her at ease about the whole experience. She was really worried about getting sick because she thought it would be like a roller coaster. After speaking with staff and the instructor her mind was at ease. Once she completed watching the video we were off to get her fitted for her helmet, jump suit and eye protection. There was another gentleman working that counter and he also continued to reassure her that it would be an exciting experience. She went in for her first session and there was somewhat of a learning curve. The instructor was busy adjusting her arms and legs so that her flight would go smoothly. The second time went a lot smoother, Towards the end of the session the instructor took her on a spin and elevated to the top of the tunnel several times. Her facial expression when she was done was priceless!!! After her second session she stepped out with the biggest smile I've ever seen on her. She told me that she loved every second of it. She kept thanking me for taking her despite her earlier hesitation about going to iFly. I think a very important component of this is the staff. Everyone seemed happy to be working. I know that towards the end of my shift I can't wait to go home. These guys were enthusiastic about being there and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Front desk staff: Five stars ***** Equipment personel: Five stars ***** Instructor: Five Stars ***** iFly: Five Stars ***** I booked the session without any groupon or any other deals and to be honest I didn't mind paying full price and would do so again. When we received the video at our email they sent us the wrong one. My girlfriend was filled with anxiety that the video she had wanted to order was deleted. Well, iFly came through again and was able to send her the correct video so the memories of her time at iFly were saved. Please take note that this was the day staff and they were just as helpful and customer service oriented as the staff the previous night. iFly you made me look like a champ in the eyes of my girlfriend. Well, all good things must come to an end I suppose. . . It has been almost a year since we were here (see my first review), and we were sooo excited to bring a third friend for her birthday, to get her "high". . . All of the staff is so very very energetic, helpful, excited for you, and most of all knowledgeable (and quite frankly TALENTED in the air tunnel). We were in a group with some younger children also celebrating a birthday. I purchased the "high flying" add-on for all three of us. ($10 each extra). In which, at the end of the regular flying experience, the instructor takes you straight up into the shaft (almost 20 feet up), which truly gives you the ultimate sensation of skydiving as you are so far up in the air. BUT, When it came time for each of us to finish the flight with the "high flight" part. . . the instructor only took each of us up about 8 feet. . . ???? It was really really disappointing. Such a let down. I pulled the instructor aside and asked about it. . . I was informed that the company has passed down that they can no longer go up into the shaft. . . BUMMER TO THE ABSOLUTE MAX... I feel for the instructors as this was just as much fun for them as is has been for the clients. Why 'corporate' is taking that piece away is going to turn a lot of us adults away from coming here. And, remember, I PAID $30 (for three of us) extra for the "high fly" part. And, we didn't get it. Surely, this will remain fun for little kids. . . but for the adults that wanted the rush. . forget about it. it has passed. . . Now I have to tell my friends not to bother with this place. My 6 year old demure little princess tagged along on a group outing with trepidation just to humor her 10 year old brother who had been looking forward to going here for ages. As per the attached photo, she ended up really enjoying the experience and looks forward to coming back with friends. I didn't know what to expect myself as a parent. I just couldn't imagine how getting suspended in a wind tunnel with all kinds of protective gear for a few minutes at a stretch could be much fun. But my kids had a blast. I can't believe it's been 7, not 6, years since I've been here. But my rating is still the same - 5 stars. I am going skydiving for real next weekend and I thought I'd do a little prep. I brought my girlfriend that has never done it before. The cost as $65 this time so the prices have gone up since the first time I was here. You fill out your paperwork, which you can do ahead of time to save yourself time. The instructor, Charles, was at the front desk and asked if we were willing to fly early and we said SURE! You're supposed to check in 60 minutes before so it was great not to waste time waiting. We were escorted into the classroom, watched the video, and Charles was hilarious. He had a great personality and made the experience fun from the get go. Then we were suited up and taken into the tunnel. Everyone got the high flight, (I think it's what they called it), where you're spun around and shot up the funnel three times. It was sooo much fun! He even flipped me! Second timers get that done for free every single time. The best part was Charles taking a little girl of probably 5-years-old around in the tunnel and even flew her around like she was Superwoman. Charles finished it off with doing some amazing stunts which I don't recall being done years ago but he was running along the inside of the tunnel, do spins, come down the side upside down and to the window where we were like he was Spiderman, and perfectly exited the funnel and entered it again with a flip. A fun experience, and it's great for all ages. Thanks, Charles. You had me laughin' and encouraged my girlfriend to the high flight when she didn't want to at first. Well done! "Teambuilding" To hear this usually sends a shiver down my spine. Fall backwards blindfolded to learn to trust your co-workers? Weird puzzle scavenger hunts? Ropes course? Meditating while trying to come up with the "Next Big Idea". Then my boss said "Skydiving" and my ears perked up. "Can I throw my annoying co-worker off the plane?" I wondered, but then I did a double take. "You said *Indoor* Skydiving?" "Yeah, they have this vertical wind-tunnel" We rented a block of time for our group and after watching a short video, practicing some body positions on a bench, and learning some handsignals from the instructor off we went. We didn't learn any flips or spins or anything, but just the basics and the feeling of being in freefall (while staying stationary) was exhilarating!! If you get the hang of it, the guy manning the wind-tunnel will kick it up a notch and vary the windspeed a bit so you start going up and up into the tunnel!! Woo hoo!!! The instructor was really great. Informative and patient with folks that didn't "get it" immediately. It's pretty cool because they can stand next to you in the tunnel (since they're vertical, the wind just blows by them) and make corrections in your body position and give you hand-signal instructions real-time. We each had 2 "flights" of a few minutes to fly around, but a couple of folks were done after one so I got a bonus flight! Score!! This was hella fun! (Yes, I said "hella" so shoot me!) I highly recommend it. We even had a person who was afraid of heights and she said this didn't freak her out. She started pounding vodka shots afterwords, but I'm sure it was unrelated. ;-) Tip: If you have long hair put it in a braid. The wind ripped apart my ponytail (even with it tucked into my helmet) and I have never had more knots in my life. My g/f had to cut out small chunks of knots when I got home later that night. I can't really complain since I had a great experience here with my team. Team building ftw? I came here on a random Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't very busy at all. The parking lot in the front is TINY but there is plenty of parking if you go a little outside of the immediate area. I liked the instructors here and it's especially fun to show up a little early so you can watch other people do it. It definitely does not give you any idea of what its going to be like when you're actually in the wind tunnel though. I must admit, I totally thought this thing was a joke many years ago when it first went up. After all, why would you ever want to go "skydiving" INDOORS?! ... but I have to say it was a LOT of fun and definitely a very different experience than what I had imagined. I went on valentines day so there was a special where it was $50/person + video credit. The price/experience was definitely worth it! I forgot my instructor's name but he was very helpful and nice. I give all the instructors 10 stars for being patient with people inside the wind tunnel - all of us were basically waddling toddlers lol. And the last minute or so where they do crazy stunts in there is pretty darn cool to watch. It makes me want to come back and get some extra lessons... they did say the following times you come you get a discount... hm..... Anyways, as people have said, you don't need to buy the $10 additional high flying experience beforehand (where instead of floating in air, you go up and down pretty high up the wind tunnel) - you can tell the instructor if you want it during your second flight. You can pay afterwards. But granted that EVERYONE except one baby in my time slot did a high fly experience, I'd say be prepared to spend $10 extra dollars if you didn't buy it before hand. tip: DO NOT EAT BEFOREHAND. Over the past few years, I've developed an uncontrollable fear of heights. There was nothing specific that sparked this anxiety, but suddenly the ferris wheel at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was not fun anymore, I nearly passed on the outside elevators of the St. Francis hotel, and it's a good thing there was a nurse aboard that rickety elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower, because I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Needless to say, sky diving wasn't necessarily in the cards for me. However, INDOOR SKYDIVING? Yes, please! This is seriously one of the coolest things I've done in a long time. Controlling your movements in the wind-tunnel is not as easy as it looks! Even though you're technically not tumbling through thousands of miles of open sky, iFly has found a way to simulate the sensation of losing all control. The whole experience was a blast, including watching everyone's reaction upon entering the wind tunnel for the first time. I think it's great that there's not an age limit to participate (well, they won't fly anyone under the age of 3....duh), and it was so fun watching all the little kids fly around. This was a pretty fun idea for a valentines date last year. I was scooping around for something different then the same ol' dinner/movie action for v-day...so I found this as a sorta fun activity to do. The actual experience of flying with the massive fans was thrilling, obviously doesn't live up to the real thing (which I have done) but definitely a different, fun activity. We were bummed that sessions are with other groups, and I wish we had our own time with the trainer dude. So. Much. Fun. You go through a quick training session. They set you up with a sweet flight suit, helmet and goggles and ear plugs. Then you and your instructor go into the wind tunnel... ... and you fly. You honest to goodness fly. You instructor is always in the tube with you, so you don't bang into the walls. You do 2 flights, 60 seconds each. It goes by SO FAST! My advice: I had a tendency to get very preoccupied with the correct body position, chin up, arms out... I nearly missed enjoying the experience. You need to try to be in the moment, really be present and enjoy it. If you love it, (which you will), they have more advanced lessons where you can learn cool tricks, and they even have a league that you can join. How fun would that be? If I lived closer, I would so do it. When everyone in your group is all done, your instructor goes in for another minute or so and show off, flipping and spinning and stuff. Soooo cool. Verdict: You have to try this! We used a Groupon, so I'm not sure how expensive it normally is, but I am inclined to say that it's worth it, whatever the $. I surprised my 8 year old to do indoor skydiving. We found a great deal online during black Friday sale in November. We made a reservation to take him in January. It was a lot of fun. I would recommend this for a fun family outing. We invited our friends to join us and their 6 year old had a great time. I was scared of trying it but once I met the instructor, I felt pretty comfortable. Staff here are really nice and they know what they are doing. We did 2 flying sessions per person. I did one high and one regular. My husband could have done 7 more. They take horrible videos (we paid for that) so I would recommend having a friend or someone who can stay out to film your flying experience. Also, remember to wear comfortable shoes and clothes. read more

We girlfriends and I came here for a ladies night out. We had a fun time experiencing something new for all of us. Our instructor was great and the facility was clean (with the exception of one jumpsuit that had to be sent back b/c of the BO on it). We had a fun time watching experienced sky divers and the instructors learn tricks while we waited for our turn. A few minor glitches included the delay of our flight time. We had a 10:30pm flight time. It's a time that worked for the working moms (we went on a Friday). The timing would have worked out well if they were on time. However, they probably ran 30-45 minutes late. If we were in college, not a big deal - but we are already-tired-Mommies. By the time we left the facility, it was probably past 11:30pm, and let's just say that most of us got EARLY wake up calls from our little ones. A word of advice - if you have long hair, braid it tightly! Even in a pony tail, all of us came out with very tangly hair. If you're looking for a fun activity, I'd say give this a try! read more

Wow, so much fun! This is a gem of a place for so many people. Kids birthday parties, buddies hanging out, date night, work social, or hobbyist sky divers. We checked GroupOn and found a deal that saved us around 15/20 bucks off our solo flights and included a free video! The check in staff were all friendly, they have the process down pat. You check into a computer kiosk to get all the legalize out of the way, pay your duckets, then head up stairs to the vertical wind tunnel. Once upstairs you sit through an informational and entertaining video, roughly 3-5 minutes long. Then off to the fitting area to don your jump suit, ear plugs, googles, and helmet. They have lockers that you can place EVERYTHING in your pockets into. You don't want that new iPhone 6s Plus slipping out and zooming away from you at 100 mph! Then you go into the wind tunnel and the instructors help and guide you as you lay across a plume of wind traveling anywhere from 95 to 125 mph! They provide you with simple hand gestures so you can control yourself in the wind and enjoy the experience. What a great experience! A must try for anyone who wants to experience skydiving w/o the expense and risk of plummeting towards the earth at Terminal Velocity wondering who packed my shute! Enjoy! read more

Entering IFLY skeptical because of the $ forked over for a 1min "flight". The reception staff seem a bit rough around the edges, but perhaps they get get pushed around by other Newbie skeptics like me that come through the door, or are overworked in a small work area or what not (I can't blame them, but a more assertive greeting would help). Business is business and that they do well. Arriving 45min early with a 3yr old caused a bit of angst as those with children know, every minute has to be filled or there is trouble. Anticipating 45min of boredom, the wait time was anything but. In the observation room, watching the other flights and videos is entertaining and kept the little one very interested. 1st Rate Flight Instructors!!! Once registered, and flight schooled, the instructors really shine. They interacted with our 3yr old with enthusiasm, encouragement and skill. In the wind tunnel.......... Nothing like seeing the little one beaming with joy and excitement. The instructors experience and skill becomes immediately apparent, and my angst was eased. The instructor even made sure I had some photo and video opportunities (even though it is also a product they sell), so now I have well preserved precious memories that I created (thats the important part to me - their photos are very good, I just like to be the one doing those). This will be a repeat trip for us. Advice for the photographers: Bring a Polarizor!!! The plexiglass glare is out of this world. Do not use direct flash as it will just bounce right back at ya. I used bounce flash (SB900) pointed behind me (it did help, but not great), a D3 @ 1/250, F/2.8 ( 28-70) @ 2500 ISO (12:30 pm overcast window light as main). That combination netted decent results despite the glare. I uploaded a sample of my results (currently image #55). You have to get really close to glass to cut down the glare. read more

I came here for a company outing with a group of about 10 people and overall, we had a lot of fun. I've never skydived before in my life, or done anything similar like bungee jumping off a cliff, but indoor skydiving was really fun, albeit a bit lame to look at if you're not doing it :P Before we even suited up, everyone had to watch a intro video in a classroom that taught about form. Though it was boring, I'm gonna put emphasis on LISTENING TO THE VIDEO. Form is so important to indoor skydiving that to fail because you didn't listen... that would be sad, especially how much you have to pay for it. When you go into the wind tunnel, you do so at 30 sec. intervals before the next person steps in. I don't know if everyone's instructor does the same thing, but my instructor had two goals: to make sure our form was right; guide us towards the camera so we could have our picture taken. To be honest, it's impossible to explain how fun it was (albeit incredible short, and surely, expensive). I was extremely impressed by the customer service here. I came in a little apprehensive as a first timer. I also brought my friend who has a toddler and an infant. The staff was so great they (1) helped us carry up our stroller (they have no elevator) and (2) let us go first so that one of us could watch the kids. They were so helpful and kind the whole time. Total professionals. Everyone who works there enjoys their job. They are really laid back for a company that has a lot of customers. We had a great experience. I've been flying with ifly for about 2 years...not sure why I never thought to yelp it so, here we go. It's an awesome thing to do for families and friends. I've been with kids as young as 6 and everyone has a great time. The instructors and everyone else seem to enjoy their jobs and are very, very enthusiastic about what they do. Some kids are very frightened but the instructors will tuck them under their arm and just fly with them, helping to ensure their comfort level. Basically, you watch an instructional video, get suited up (don't forget your lace up shoes) with a flight suit, ear plugs and helmet. You get two rounds about a minute each -- depending on how well you do the instructors will let you do more advanced things or go hands off with you... Photos and DVDs are available for purchase. My two older children (ages eight and seven) have been here twice and they LOVE it!!! My little girl loves it when the flight instructor spins and turns her, and especially the super flight where he takes her all the way up to the top. We had no difficulties registering during our first visit. Since we were already in their system, the second time was a breeze. There is a brief orientation where the group learns about hand signals and other things. The next step is getting fitted into the flight gear. They have extra shoes just in case you do not have the right kicks on. Wear sneakers, no flip flops or slip on's. I was thinking of planning a party here with the Third Grade girls instead of our annual Tea Party, but the price may be a deterrent for the parents. It is quite chhh-chhhing so I took out one star for that, BUT added the last star for the flight instructors who are soo soooo good-looking (well, they were nice and professional, too). Very fun, you get two flies, one about 1 min and other is 1 min 30 sec. Paid for the extra for the extra height flying. I also got the dvd and it was really cool. Makes me want to go real sky diving now. They give you shoes if you don't have shoes, and you wear their gear, jumpsuit, goggle, and helmet. You place all your belongings in a bin, I suggest removing everything, even necklace and maybe ring, but I kept mine on. I suggest really knowing the hand signals and relax. Rei, Rei, Rei! Before I get into why Rei is the greatest...I came here because I saw a GroupOn deal. I have been postponing this experience because of my changing schedule, since April. The GroupOn even expired but luckily I scheduled an appointment and had to pay a small amount due to the expired GroupOn voucher. The staff members were also very accommodating for that. This was our first time indoor skydiving and walking in my anxiety steadily started to rise, but I was feeling ready to fly. Now let's talk about Rei. The staff members here were friendly and helpful. Our "pilot" was Rei. He was amazing, made us feel safe and was friendly. In the air I felt comfortable and he guided me so that I was not looking like a potato sack trying to fly. Our flying party was small, a dad and his daughter along with my sister and me. Rei gave us the option to "high fly", which means you fly higher and simulate a free fall ($10 extra), I told him to sign me up because I wanted to get the whole experience. It was amazing! You can give your pilots a tip which I didn't know and when I found out I was hoping you could electronically (with a card) because I had a little amount of money. I gave him cash, but I was I was able to give him more. Rei was awesome! I really enjoyed my experience here. The only thing I would recommend is coming with a larger group, so that the fund last longer! I used the Yelp Check In Offer if one free digital photo. I would like to mention that the photo is less than $5. But the Yelp offer is cool to have. read more

Came here because corporate offsite, I think this place is actually more fun than a lot of us had expected. We have a somewhat big group(13ppl), split into two groups because they dont allow more than around 10 ppl at one time in the wind tunnel. After the arrival, we have to check ourselves in. It was super entraining to watch other people do it, and the instructor will ask you if you want the high flight for $10, at first I did not want to do it, but after watching other people do it, I opt-in for it in the end, although I dont like the way they handle this kind of stuff, but that $10 is worth it - it will buy you go up to the highest point in the tunnel with instructor 3 times, otherwise you will just be pretty much just floating. They will record your flight and take pics, so if you want you can get those. We got a few vouchers for the video, one of them was super funny, youtube material. read more
