I truthfully don't like places like this. I'd rather do to a mom and pop style greasy spoon; however, the friends wanted to go and to my dismay I was there. This is going to be a rambler, so buckle up. We wandered in most recently on a Sunday morning (10:30ish), and the place was packed. They definitely run the front end efficiently, table for 2 in less than ten minutes (seating is much easier at 3 am, which I've done as well). While the people are more plentiful on a Sunday morning, they're quite more interesting after the bars close at 3am. But I digress.. The food is standard IHOP fare. There are no real surprises, pancakes, omelettes, other non-breakfast items (which I've never seen anyone order). The coffee has that slightly been left on the heater too long burnt flavor that's just right (?) for a hangover or to start your day off with a kick. While I know I can make a better breakfast/brunch myself, sometimes you just don't have the ingredients, or more-so, the desire. Service here isn't too bad. They hustle, they bump into, they put food on your table. When it's packed an you're hungry, it's nice to get a plate of food placed in front of you in less than 10 minutes. So, when they get mad at one of your friends for dropping trou' at 3:30 in the morning and ask you to leave, give 'em a break. They work at IHOP. read more

An annual tradition in October, IHOP offers all you can eat pancakes for $4.99 or combo it up with eggs, bacon or sausage, and hash browns for another $2. Add the bottomless coffee to caffeine up and you'll owe an hour minimum wage plus tax. and tip. Unlike my previous IHOP experiences, the route 1 / glebe road location was dead in morning (0600) . It only took a mere five minutes to receive my order. The second helping of pancakes was just as fast! In addition, the waitresses will make sure your order is cooked to perfection. For example, I overheard a waitress chewing out the cook as gravy was supposed to be on the side and not on-top of the biscuits! 2.5 stars. Meh. It's an IHOP. We came here because it was late one night, and we'd gotten sick of Kabob Palace (our usual late-night place). As with all IHOPs, they use plenty of butter--makes me a little sick. My regular thing is the big steak omlette--good mix of savory things, and finish off with pancakes. Though I've never been able to finish an order by myself. ah well. yummy! I got fruit on the side once...it's not very good. Not sweet at all, rock hard honeydew, and it was almost all white-colored honeydew and cantaloupe. I only got one piece of pineapple (sad!!!) and a very tiny grape (sour!!!) The one thing I appreciate about this location is that one time we came here on a Saturday morning (I know, I know....no, i wasn't thinking) and the place was PACKED. This is one of the nicer IHOPs that I've been to. Nicer in the sense that the atmosphere is nicer as well as the staff working is nicer. I came for dinner, and there weren't man people in the restaurant. Despite this, I still had to wait a few minutes before the hostess came and seated us. I thought it was going to be a bad time, but that's where my complaints end. Our waitress came immediately and was very courteous. We were having trouble deciding, and she gave us ample time to do so. However, she would check up on us every once in a while to make sure that we hadn't decided yet. I hate when you tell your waiter you're not ready to order yet and you don't see them for 10 minutes... That wasn't the case here! The reason we came to IHOP was because I was part of the mailing list, and they give you a free menu item for your birthday. I think it's supposed to be used on any pancake on the menu, but because I wanted one of the combos (instead of getting a 4 pancake stack, I got a 2 pancake stack with sides) I wasn't sure if the coupon would apply to it. The cost was more than what the coupon would cover, but the waitress said that she would just ring it up and I'd pay the extra. (It only came out to about 50 cents more!) My boyfriend got the spicy chicken sandwich. (I'm sure it has a nicer sounding name but I can't remember what that is at the moment.) I thought it was pretty good, but we both agreed that we'd like the salsa on the side if we ever got it again. I got the chocolate pancakes with chocolate chips in them. It was WAY sweet, so I'm glad I went with the half stack instead of the full. I couldn't finish them all because it just started to remind me of a chocolate cake, minus the icing, after a while. I don't recommend this location due to the fact of the rudeness of the manager towards the waitress. He also had what looked to be his daughter with her kids eating there at the store that morning as well. His focus was on them, and being rude with the waitress. I grabbed the Sampler with Orange Juice, and Milk. The meal cost me $16.10 GOOD LORD, this is basic breakfast folks. Look elsewhere and you can get some good home made food at one of the local delicatessens and cost you a fraction of this cost. The waitress was very nice here, however the manager was very very rude to her, and in front of customers. Watch out you coffee drinkers they don't wash the mugs with soap water and a good scrub. They just run the mugs under hot water. When you walk in (on a busy morning) you can see them fighting to run the hot water over the mugs. I found lipstick on my mug and asked for a clean one. Luckily there is urgent care near by and I can get tested for herpes. read more

Not too much to REALLY go into here. It's IHOP... we know what to expect. The food is IHOP quality food and you get what you expect here. And I do like IHOP breakfast foods.... good stuffs. One thing I do like here though is the service and speed of seating. The staff is pretty on the ball here with getting your order taken and food out. We hadn't been to an IHOP in eons, so this was handy near the Regal movie theaters in the mall there. So we went in and got a table right away, got service and some fast breakfast type food. Our server was quite chatty and got us exactly what we wanted. We had a vegetable omelet and a chicken dish with coffee. This is not gourmet food so don't expect that; what you do get is basic food, hot and served fairly well and cheap. Apparently they are open 24 hours so that's worth remembering for those times when you just gotta find a place open! The whole place is wheelchair accessible including the very roomy and clean bathrooms, so that's quite a relief. The whole place seemed very clean and well-managed (unlike some IHOPs!). read more

First of all, I appreciate that this location is correctly denominated on Yelp as the f'n "International" House of Pancakes. This place is pure guilty pleasure deliciousness. As a youngster in California, my mother used to take me to the International House of Pancakes - sometimes even at night! Yes, breakfast in the evening. It was quite the treat and usually my mother would get an omelet and I would get the cheese blintzes. We would then share. For a while, there was a tricky thing where unless you ordered off the menu, you got the cheese blintzes with some canned fruit. Nasty. You want your blintzes with jam and sour cream. Order carefully. Some IHOP trivia - this chain was once owned by a company known by the super name of International Industries. In addition to the pancake house, they owned this place called Love's Wood Pit Barbecue (it was very smokey) and f'n Orange Julius! Delicious genes. This IHOP is recommended for weekend mornings or late nights. Actually, those are pretty much the recommended times for all IHOPs. My other advice is, if you are visiting on a weekend morning, please use a very distinctive name (preferably with more than one syllable). They have a crappy PA system and possibly someone working thousands of miles away in east Asia calls out the names. "Stan" could be "Ann," "Jan," or even "Duangnet" - it's possible. This problem is compounded because of the fierce competition for seats Sat/Sun morning. They also call like five names at once. Do I have to even describe what happens? You think you hear your name - you get up - guess what, it was someone else? Now your seat is gone and you stand like a chump with your arms crossed by the inside door that keeps opening and closing and pushing you into the plant. Don't do this! Developments. Recently, this place moved "upmarket" by instituting a new "pay at the table" system. A lot of regulars are still confused and will try to pay at the cash register by the door. Ignore them. Food. Here is the run-down. Coffee - medicore, but they give you the entire pot. Pancakes - delicious, but you didn't need me to tell you that. Non-breakfast food - do not eat this food! Best food - the country omelet. Basically, this is a house of pancakes omelet (made with some pancake batter in the egg mix), ham, some vegetable parts, hash browns (the key ingredient), cheese and sour cream. Also comes with a short stack. I like the cornbread pancakes (which may be seasonal?). If you are looking for a diner-type breakfast where you can read the paper, drink some coffee and eat some pancakes, this is not a bad spot. read more

What's not to love about IHOP? They serve you breakfast whenever you want and have a great variety of options on their menu. I routintely come here for their breakfast sampler platter (regardless of the time of day) and haven't been disappointed yet. The atmosphere/ambience it what you'd typically expect from any IHOP as it can be empty one minute and jam packed the next. Their breakfast menu here is so good as are some of their other lunch/dinner entrees. The waiter staff can be slow at times and do (rather frequently) get your order mixed up with someone else's. Other than that, can't go wrong here as they have pretty much anything you could ask for as far as chocie of entrees. read more

I hadn't eaten at an IHOP in years, and am generally morally opposed to IHOPs that are not located in A-frame standalone buildings. But I took my kids to this one a few days ago. I suppose I'd forgotten an important aspect of IHOP: The food isn't very good. My son got a ham-and-cheese sandwich, which was fine. But the "fruit cup" side dish was filled with grayish chunks of things that were once orange (I think). I didn't even hassle him about his failure to eat his fruit. My "scramble" was okay, but didn't have much "scramble" (i.e., egg) in it. Hash browns were crispy and excellent, though. My daughter threw a fit about something unrelated to the restaurant and barely touched her nutella crepe. I took a bite or two and it seemed appropriately desserty. I mean, a crepe covered in nutella and whipped cream can't be that bad. The crepe itself was pretty mushy though. The staff was very friendly, and I thank my fellow diners for not yelling at me about my poorly behaved daughter, who probably interfered with the enjoyment of their meals. Although IHOP isn't spendy, it isn't cheap either. With tip, the three of us got out of there for about $30. That's a pretty good chunk of change for two kids and an adult at a place like this. If the food were a little better, that would be fine. But is isn't, so it isn't. read more

The service is ALWAYS quick. This is the best park about this place. Honestly the food is hit or miss depending on what you like. We LOVE the Nutella crepes. They have tons of Nutella and you can get bananas in them. The pancakes are great especially the blueberry. I have tried their Caesar salad and it was okay. Nothing special. My boyfriend loves getting their co Binational platters with eggs, pancakes, sausage and he loves it. I've also had their huevos rancheros and they were very good. We came here on a Sunday morning, forgetting what IHOP is like on Sunday mornings. There were a lot of people packed inside the wait area and standing outside. We were on a slight time constraint but decided to wait the 10-15 minutes they said it would take and hope for the best. We were seated in less than 5 minutes, which was shocking after seeing all the people waiting and seeing more and more walking in. The staff was well organized and moved customers in and out quickly without making anyone feel rushed. Now IHOP is pretty standard fare. It's not a gourmet restaurant, and I don't go there expecting it to be. It was exactly what I expected - great comfort food. I ordered the cinna-stack pancakes which had a cinnamon roll spread, cream cheese icing, and whipped cream. I felt like I would fall into a sugar coma afterwards, they were so sweet that they didn't even need syrup. The boyfriend got an omelette and he was happy with it. But the star of our breakfast was the waitress. I don't remember her name but she was amazing. I don't know how many tables she was serving, but she was all over the place. She was super attentive despite how busy she was and stopped by to check on us often. Our orders were correct and out faster than I expected and she never let our drinks run dry and made sure I had lots of creamer for my coffee. We ended up giving her a 50% tip because we were so impressed. We'll definitely stop by again. read more

I love this IHOP! Usually I go for mid-morning breakfast on the weekends. I have never been there without a wait but it has always been a short wait, about 5 to 10 mins. The only thing I'd say that could be improved on is the speed of the service. Sometimes I would have an empty glass for a little while before it is refilled. Good morning, I'm writing my first ever bad review for IHOP. I've been going to IHOP since the mid-1970a and I had my first bad experience ever. In fact, it rates in the top 5 worst experiences I've ever had. I was treated poorly at my visit 3 November 2019 and after waiting about 15 minutes, was treated so rudely, I left the restaurant. I'm disabled, obviously so and there was no place to sit, the waiting area was full. I told the 3 kids they could walk across the parking lot to Best Buy and that we would text them when we were called. While I waited, the delivery orders were going out incorrectly. One man took a large bag of food out of the resturaunt only to return a few minutes later saying it wasn't his order. After and odd deliberation, the employee conceded and went to the back to get him a different bag of food. And to my surprise - he put the bag back on the delivery shelf. I would personally be appalled if I knew my food left the restaurant with another customer, and came back. What if they touch it or something else despicable. I was horrified. Finally, we were called up but when we got to the receptionist, she told us she called the wrong name. About 5 minutes later, we were called up again, but this time a man was there, a manager I believe, and he ask where the other 3 people were. I told them across the parking lot at Best Buy and they would be here in less than a minute. He refused to seat us. He told me he put us back on the list when everyone in the party was standing (standing room only) in the lobby. I couldn't believe this treatment. He handled the situation very poorly. He treated me like a number, no personality, no smile, not like a human treats another human on a Sunday. Other people who had been there longer than us, because they had seats, began yelling at him too asking why they called my family and why we were getting seated ahead of them. Horrible experience. I won't go back to this restaurant again. I'm so disappointed with their lack of discretion, I'm obviously handicapped and no place to sit, then basically they told the entire crowd I should go to the back of the line when my kids arrived, which they did as I was walking out the door. All disappointed, we went to another restaurant. I blame the management, the staff's training and the rep for this area. This behavior didn't start with my visit. read more

I drink quickly with breakfast and she was always immediately behind with refills of coffee and soda.
