While my husband and I both enjoyed our food, the entire experience was awful. Our hostess/waitress was clearly not happy to be there. As she was getting ready to seat us, she was yelling to another employee in the back with a snarky tone. The whole time we were sitting at our table, we could hear the kitchen staff and wait staff yelling at each other, everyone was confused, but all of them seemed to think that they were the only ones who did know what was happening. I heard so much condescending talking between employees that it was alarming. Also, our waitress had asked another employee to bring out an order to one of her tables. When the girl was bringing it out and asked which table to bring it to, our waitress said "the guy just sitting there, all by himself." I found that to be extremely rude. We have been to IHOPs before at different locations and have never been so insulted. Not only will we never return to this location, but we will be sure to let everyone else know about this experience. read more

I love IHOP but this one cannot take an order for take out. Last year they messed up my omelet because the server heard me wrong but the manager fixed it. This year I order the same omelet, they forget the ham and my food was cold! I thought it was odd she told me 20 minutes. Nope my food sat for 10 minutes I picked it up took it across the street to the hotel and had to heat it up. I don't have an IHOP in my town so the few times I travel I try to enjoy it. We came here verrrry early this morning for an after-dark meal as its not all that far from Kay's Beaver Falls abode, skipping o'er the border like we were about to elope. First off, let's clear the air: The service was terrific and fast. Before we knew it (mere minutes after ordering up), our food was on the table, and that's no fib. These ladies were doing their job with a figure 8 on ice late last night. For my entree, I ordered the Tuscan Chicken Griller and was compensated for breaking my burger jones with a supple chicken breast, milky provolone, roasted tomatoes, and an excellent tomato pesto. One would never expect to find a quality gourmet sandwich like this at a chain restaurant. For dessert: The Strawberry Cheesecake Pancake. It is as delectable as any dessert flapjack stack I've had at any independent breakfast-and-brunch restaurant. 4 pancakes are held together with a creamy cheesecake filling and garnished with strawberries, whipped cream, and powdered sugar for your viewing-then-eating pleasure. Very poor service and had a new waitress. On her behalf the manager is by far the worst I have ever seen. She would yell at her and would not show her anything actually felt sorry for her. I have come to Ihop several times before in my life. It used to actually be ok and I still come here but I don't know why I do because now the quality of the food is DESPICABLE. It is so crowded every morning and the cooks probably rush to make the food so it's never done right. Today I ordered the pumpkin spice cinnastack and when it came out there was NO FILLING AT ALL and a little dollop of whipped cream on top. And my dad ordered the "bacon temptation" omelette and when it came out it had a few tiny pieces of bacon, over cooked eggs, and underripe tomatoes and I thought DO THEY REALLY CALL THAT BACON TEMPTATION BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER EAT THAT. If all of that wasn't enough, they gave us the wrong bill and we discovered that someone else had already paid our bill and left. I will not be coming back to this restaurant. Original seating time was 20-30 min. It only took 5 min to be seated. I would have rather waited 25 more minutes if my drinks would come before the food and the food actually taste good. My elderly dad enjoys IHOP we have had several poor experiences there, but he continues to want to go back. Tonight was the final straw , the waitress greets us by saying there's have no hot water but will be serving us with disposable utensils. We place our order anyway, dad orders hot turkey and gravy and mashed potatoes. The food arrives looking dried out and without gravy. I ask the waitress for gravy she respond that they are out of gravy well maybe you should have mentioned that when we ordered hot turkey and gravy !!!!! She comes back at the end of the meal after my dad finished his meal and gave him a bowl of gravy ..... what was he supposed to use the gravy for now???? We have tried several times to give that restaurant the benefit of the doubt since many establishments are suffering with lack of help. But this was the final straw. Poor service, poor food, lack of hot water equals lack of cleanliness. Save yourself and don't go to IHOP. If I could give a negative star I would !!! read more

Had to wait a while to be seated due to Covid which was fine. Waiter brought over coffee with one of the cups covered in RED lipstick. Brought over silverware rapped in a napkin with the spoon covered in some kind of crusty food. That was quite nasty. This makes you wonder how well they are cleaning all dishware and silverware especially now with the Covid threat. We will not go back. read more

First off let me start by saying that very sweet woman with the dark skin complexion (with no name tag) greeted us with her southern charm. Even though there was a long long wait those three hostesses worked together as a team and managed to get us seated at reasonable time. From there it was the typical IHOP experience, nothing exceptional. I was not disappointed with the food or service, mostly just the other people eating there. read more

Early morning or middle of the night places are hard to come by, but a craving for breakfast food and a quiet drive with little traffic brought me into Boardman. We were seated right away and before we could even sit down our server asked what we'd like to drink. I am happy to report that the new splashberry (red strawberries, lemon-lime soda and orange juice) was like a party punch! It tickled my throat and my empty belly. I ordered a breakfast sampler: eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and 2 pancakes. The food arrived quickly and tasted prepared to perfection! Even the hash browns (of which I am overly critical of) were perfect! Slightly buttery, crunchy "crust" and soft insides. I love this chain!!! read more

It was a first time for our family of 8 at an IHOP for birthday celebration. Started off with server stating out of onion rings. Server stated short on cooks so managers had to cook! Ok with that until 1 dish in our party (Crepes) arrived swimming (1/4 inch) in olive oil. OK removed and brought back "re-plated" Unfortunately not edible because the crepes had absorbed the oil. At this point all of others were almost done eating. Manager came and offered to make more (not an option) as ready to leave. Manager did not charge for crepes. Child's meal was to come with scrambled egg. Missing. Arrived but was originally charged extra. Egg charge was removed. Very disappointed in the food. My first plate came out and it had a hair in it so I asked for a new plate. The second plate came out and there was ANOTHER piece of hair. They didn't charge for the meal but they did charge me for the coffee. I was disgusted by the fact that I had two plates of food both with hair in them.
